This was a two part order. Part 1 of the order shipped on time and was received. Part 2, (720606 CREATIVE LABS- SOUND BLASTER AUDIGY2 PLATINUM PCI CARD SB0240P), was backordered. Please also note that when I purchased this item on 11/22/2002, the online store stated it was in stock. Because I could no longer wait for the part, this backordered part was cancelled by me on the morning of 12/06/2002 via phone with a customer representative with Cruxworks. I then went to a retail store and purchased the item. When I arrived home the same customer rep with Cruxworks called me and told me she was sorry but the order had shipped. I told her that I had just purchased the item and she should have told me this when I called to cancel the order. Later the same day I received email stating the item had shipped and I promptly replied stating the order was cancelled that same morning and the shipment would be refused.(see attached email.)
Because it appears the shipment and order cancellation ‘just happened’ to occur at the same time. They took the item back but refused to reimburse shipping.
