Crime Monitoring Division Law Firm Scam

I received a phone call from number listed as [protected] on Friday, September 4, 2015 at 1:22 pm. The gentleman stated his name as Johnathon on the phone. Johnathan had a strong accent and stated it was urgent matter, and I was in some serious trouble. Johnathan said that I should get my attorney on the phone or have my attorney contact him back at [protected]. Jonathan said I should pay the amount of 1500.00 immediately or I would be jailed, and then taken to court to pay all other fines which would add up to 5500.00.I began to ask Johnathan what was the matter concerning, and he refused to answer, and started to get angry. Johnathan said he could not release any information, and that he would transfer the call to there in house attorney and he would handle it from there. The person got on this line and stated his name and I really could not understand him do to the accent he was an attorney with the Crime Monitoring Division Law Firm and he was collecting on a debt. He stated that if I did not pay approximately $1500.00 immediately, I would be sued for $5500.00 United States Credit Services. He said I would be arrested for fraud, bad check writing, and non-payments, and that he wanted to help me stop this action from taking place. He really could not tell me what or which debt they were collecting on, they he said I needed to get a pin and paper to right down a account number, which does not go to anything I have. He said this call would be recorded, by this time my thoughts were all over the place, so I told him that I would also be recording this call to report this to the local new here in my home town to make sure this was not a scam. From there this gentleman became angry, and started getting frustrated, and telling me what I was going to do, and that they had all of my information, and read all of my personal information to me on the phone. By then he was so angry he then said that I told him I was going to report him to law enforcement, when in fact I never said law enforcement I said the local news. So, I told him if in fact I owe anything I would have it researched, and I would try and work with them, once I spoke with some legit resources. He stated I was on limited time before I would be sued. So, from there I ask him if he could e-mail me any documentation concerning this debt, so I may have it in writing and he said that I was not willing to cooperate, and they were going to process the paperwork. I told him I wanted to honor all my obligations, but I needed more information before making a $1500.oo payment. I continued to become even more suspicious. While searching on the website for United States Credit Services or Crime Monitoring Division I found another complaint for American Credit Services. So I continued to research a little more, and found a couple of similar complaints. I was very nervous, and thought I would share my experience just in case someone else out here experiences this crime.

Crime Monitoring Division Law Firm harrassment/scam

I got a call from the same company. They left a msg on my answering machine while I was at work warning me that me or my attorney needed to contact them, and ended the call that if I didn't then good luck to my kids due to the events that would unfold. I called back and spoke to "Will Connors" who had a indian accent and was hard to understand due to all the background noise. I asked what the call was about and he stated I owed a pay day loan for $300 that I took out in May 2008, and they were bringing up charges for fraud, writing a bad check, and failure to pay on the loan. I told him that I never even took out a pay day loan and he told me then that they were going to send someone to my home or work to arrest me on monday and bring me in for the charges. He then hung up. I called my court house to see if they had any info--none. So I called back and asked for the company name. He stated it was not a company but a law firm. I asked for the name of his "law firm" and he stated he worked for the crime monitoring division-- scam! He then said if I wasn't at home on monday they'd go to my work-- he knew where I worked and my position. He then said I'd better have my lawyer call him back in 20 min. I did call my lawyer. He told me that they couldn't do anything that they threatened. Even if they were ligit the only thing they could do would be go after me in a civil suit, my states statue of limitations has already passed on the so called other "charges". I also called the states attorneys office and the ftc and reported them. Do NOT give them any info. This is a SCAM.

Well, I have just joined the ranks of these bogist phone calls. I was shocked that someone would have the gall to come me or anyone for that matter and tell them such a lie in order to get money from them. This person went a step further, they called a friend of mine and threatened about going to jail because of some loan I owed a payday advance to. I could not believe this. They are messing with the wrong one now. I can not let this go, this person has got to be out of their mind. May God bless those of us who got through this ordeal.

This same person has been calling me for the past 3 weeks, telling me that if I do not send him the money he will have someone come to my home and office and arrest me. When I called the same numbers I received a recording saying that the numbers have been disconnected. When I requested him to send me the information he said that I would have to send him the money first. What a ripoff!

I have been getting the same exact phone calls from the same people stating that i owe money for a payday loan that i took out in may 2008. I did not take one out then. I have gotten phone calls from number [protected]. They tell me to have my lawyer call them back at once. and if he doesn't call back then they say god bless and go luck. The number they give me to call back is [protected]. when i call this number it is very hard to hear what they are saying because of all the background noise. i am so sick of them calling and i told them that too and also said they are not getting anything from me.

I also was receiving phone calls from it sounds like the same man Indian, couldn't understand him. Trying to presser me into giving money that I didn't owe & that he would contact all three of the C.C.C.'s
I said I didn't want him to call me anymore & hung up. Didn't work, he keep calling. I asked him for a number to call back & he gave me a nine hundred # that was always busy.
This needs to stop!
