My wife and I went to Cribs2Teens in Simi Valley, California to purchase $2,500 for 1 Italian made baby crib with converter to teen bed, a hutch, and a dresser.

We placed an order in the middle October and did not get product until the beginning of December. The store owner told us that it would take only 2 weeks, but as you can see it took 2 months. When we got the product, we did not receive everything. The converter kit, which converts the crib to twin size bed, did not arrive. We were told it would be deliver by Christmas and that didn't happen. Then we're told it would be deliver at the end of January, and that didn't happen. We're still waiting for this unit. The store refuses to take any responsibility and pushes the problem over to the manufacture. After so much hassle, I talked to my co-workers and found out that they ran into the same problem with Cribs2Teens. I strongly suggest that any consumer avoid going to this store because they owner and his children that work for him constantly lie to make the sale, but does not do anything to resolve the issue.

If I could give Larry the owner less than one star I would. Steer clear of this place at all costs!

Called them directly via an ebay ad and confirmed that they did have the bunk bed I wanted in stock. They did and I purchased it that day. Delivery was supposed to be 14 - 18 days later. Here it is 2+ months and still no bed, no tracking number and STILL getting the run around from Larry. He gave me his cell phone number. So what! He lies.

He said the first bed shipped on time and that the trucking company lost the bed and also that the steps were broken. He couldn't have a bed with broken steps delivered so he was going to send another bed out but that he was changing trucking companies.

During this process he claims that trucking companies do not deliver to Louisiana. Gee, I wonder what all those 18 wheelers are doing on the highways and neighborhoods?

Says he sent 2nd bed but has no tracking number. He told my husband the same story about broken steps on the 2nd bed. I find it VERY hard to believe that two trucking companies broke the stairs to two different beds. I also find it hard to believe that a legit company would ship a 2nd bed without a tracking number after the first bed was "lost". Come on! LIES LIES LIES!

I called Old Dominion Freight and confirmed with them that they had no order of a pickup from Cribs2Teens. Larry is a liar and should be ashamed of himself!

Save yourself some grief and buy from a reputable store owner.

I should have read these comments before buying thousands of dollars worth of baby furniture from them. Horrible customer service AFTER you have paid them. They seemed so nice and helpful initially. They even accidentally sent me another customer's receipt in the mail. I should have been suspicious when this happened. Now that I have paid them and have been waiting for the furniture, they do NOT follow through with calling back when being asked when the furniture will arrive. Larry and Claire give conflicting information about when and what pieces of furniture are coming. When this is pointed out, they get flustered and become downright rude. Now, I am stuck still waiting for the furniture- not even knowing what pieces will arrive when because the story keeps changing. AVOID THIS STORE AT ALL COSTS!

The people at cribs2teens are dishonest and are not worth dealing with. A friend of ours knew of them making "mistakes" on a credit card charge hoping the customer would not notice. They did correct it, but acted all innocent about it. They seem friendly up front and smile at you while they try to stab you in the back. It is best not to stay clear of these people as they are shrewd business people with no morals.

They take your money and hold it for weeks without submitting to manufacturer then lie about when the product will arrive. Had to go to manufacturer to get the real story which is that the store doesn't pay their bills and manufacturer now requires them to prepay for product before they'll ship it. But they've been evicted from their store location and are operating out of a warehouse and keep lying about when and where their "new store location" will be opened as they conduct a "75% blowout sale" because they said they aren't bringing their current inventory to the new store -- why not? hmmm...sounds awfully fishy to me!

I have similar problem with Cribs2Teens in Simi Valley several years ago. I bought a furniture for my nephew that has scratches all over one side that was hidden on the show floor. When I found out and asked them to replace it, they give me some bogus return policy. Now I see why that store is always empty.
