Creditscorematters review: Unauthorised payment taken from bank 33

I used the above mentioned website to get a free credit report around 6th January 2017, I cancelled my membership on 11th January within the 10 day trial period to avoid any money being taken from my bank account. I noticed that a payment of £19.99 was taken from my account a couple of days ago. I called the
www.Creditscore matters.com and explained I had cancelled my membership but had still be charged, I was told they (conventiently!) had no record of my request to cancel and that I should have received an email back from them. I have cancelled by phone and online again today but as yet have not received a confirmation email! I think these companies have a cheek!

To whom it may concern

About 2-3 weeks ago i looked at a site to see what it would say about my cridit score then i found out it was just tring to sell me shopping vouches at £19.99 a month so i left the page when this was realized. Today 8th July 2017 i see a tranaction on my Bank staement £19.99 for which i can not account for so i called up the bank. They informed me of the company. I did not go through with this even though they were tring to give a £10.00 Asda voucher. This comapany has no right to of taken this out of my account as this was not fianalized be me. I did see that it gave up to ten days to cancel the agreement though this was not needed as a agreement was not entered into by me. Procedings will be taken againt this company for such unstrupalus bussness tactits.

This is ridiculous! We went on a credit check site to check our credit rating, yes we entered our debit card details but then decided not to bother with the service after it did not process, so back spaced and erased all our details and logged off. Now i check my statement and £19.95 had been debited by CREDITSCOREMATTERS! We didn't even use this site? So why have they taken money from our account?. Is there anyway we can claim this money back as we didn't even go on this site let alone use its service! They should be reported and closed down as i see i am not the only one who has been 'had' by this scam!

£19.95 was taken out my account by Creditscorematters and the first time I had ever heard of them was when I read my bank account statement - I sent an email asking how they had accessed my account as I had no knowledge of this company, had certainly not joined and had no use for them, and had certainly not used their service, they did reply but it went into the JUNK folder (which said it all I think) and I did not see it. On ringing the company the customer service rep repeated several times that she was happy to cancel my mystery agreement but that they were unable to reimburse the money as it was covered in the terms and conditions. As I had never entered into any such agreement I would not have read any such terms and conditions, after asking to speak to her manager who was you guessed it in a meeting, I then said that as far as I was concerned it was internet fraud and I would be getting in touch with my bank and Trading Standards - the managers meeting suddenly ended and her manager then told my customer rep in a matter of seconds that I was to get my money back as a gesture of good will but that it will take up to 10 days for it to come back to my account - I will be checking my account daily !

I was sent an email to view my credit report free on a 10 day trial, so clicked on it & had to put card details in to view but wasnt aware that 12 days they was goin to take £39.90 out of my bank account, so viewed it just the once and when discovered it had been debited i rang my account which gave me the phone no's i rang them & emailed them & told them i didnt want it or need it & most certainly will not be paying that amount of money every month they then cancelled it and then asked to reclaim the £39.90 charge and they said thats not possible as it clearly states in the t&c's which i was under the assumption that would take affect after the 10 day trial, im absolutely disgusted as im £39.90 out of pocket & explained to them im a single parent of 3 children claiming benefits and that money was put aside for my bills ect and they didnt care so basically iv just gave them £40 with nothing to show for. this really should not be allowed i its a con creditscorematters/rewardsnow should be ashamed of their so called service.

I was trying to get a credit report so I put my card details and paid a upfront fee. I waited for my report but never had it they are still taking money out my account every month £19.95 I'm completely disgusted with this company and if they dont stop taking my money and if they dont refund me my money back I will be taking this further.

I have just had the same done to me, why arn't these companies being stopped? I was under the impression it was a completely free check. I have sent them both e-mails, stating I want my money refunded, and no more charges. If this is happening to people often Im sure there is something we can all do to stop it!

Thia has also been my exact experience. I too had £19.95 taken out of my credit card account in March and then agian in April. I have never heard of this company and would certainly have no need of thier services. I too was told that my welcome letter ahd gone into my junk mail box. What kind of company conducts its business in this way? it can only be a very shady company as normally one would recieve some information by letter post or a proper email plus ther should be a 'cooling off' period for any reputable company. Just Beware of this company.

I also fell for the very same scam. They charge 19.95 for their service? i never knew that until it hit me. and furthermore, I was obliged to pay another company called rewards now for 19.95. Both deduction without provisioning of any services. What am I supposed to do now.

Oh Dear fallen for the same scam, what an idiot, saw free plastered everywhere of course nothing ever ir, was willing to forego first £19.95 from account that idid not ok, but turns out it is a monthly event! Rang Mombai this morning, and gentleman seems to be employed just to accept such cancellation calls. But why can't something be done about these scams, i am not completely daft, but fell for this, but what it does now, from my point of view, i will never get involved again whether legal, with amything ever again, So perhaps have saved me for the futute?
