Credit One Bank double withdrawal from my bank account for monthly payment.

One May 24 and 25, 2010 I made three attempts to pay $500 on my Credit One Bill. The first two attempts were on-line and both indicated they failed. The third attempt was by phone and went through. In truth the second and third attempts went through, completely depleting my bank account; I had left $500 in the bank account as I was leaving town for a few days and would need to use my ATM. In the interim, using my ATM card for minor purchases, my account had been wiped out by credit One. Then a $10 fee was levied against my account when funds had to be transferred from my savings account to cover the ATM charges.

I called Credit One Bank as soon as I realized what had happened. I was furious and felt duped. I demanded they immediately transfer one of the two deposits back to my bank account. I spoke first with Annie Anderson, then with Mack Miller, both of whom had Middle Eastern Accents. Both told me the funds would be transferred in 48 to 72 hours. I told them that was preposterous, the money is mine, they wrongfully took it and I want it back today; that's good business!

They both held their party line. I asked to speak with Mack Miller's supervisor and was put on hold for about half an hour, maybe forty-five minutes, his supervisor, William Jones was unavailable to speak with me. I asked repeatedly if these where their true names and was assured they were. I do not believe these are their true names. I do not believe they can't transfer my funds back to me today!

I told them if I cannot talk with William Jones, I would like to talk with their Board Member, Robert DeJong. I was put on hold for another protracted period of time. When Mack Miller returned to the phone he said he had asked to be approved to transfer the funds to me today, but he did not yet know if that action was approved. He assured me he would call me back within one hour.

He has still not called me back and it has been almost two hours.

Credit One Bank customer service is clueless!

I opened a card with Credit One four months ago. I made my first payment online and I had no problems. Next month I made my payment the same way. Come to find out almost two weeks later, that my payment was returned. Until today, I've spoken to the company several times and no one has been able to explain to me as to why I can not make a payment. I've spoke with my bank who explained everything was clear on their end. I've made several other payments with the same bank information on three other accounts since then with no problems whatsoever. I finally spoke to a supervisor who could only tell me that I can no longer make payments through my checking or savings account and the reason is because "I must have done it wrong" and now I'm blocked. Being that I haven't had any problems with any other accounts and no one ever gave me a clear answer, I truely feel they just wanted to charge charge me the additional fee they charge for debit card payments. I do not feel comfortable giving out my debit card information for fraud protection so I was trying to avoid going down that route all together. I got so fed up with these customer service reps who don't know what is going on and with the supervisor who I found plain rude, offensive and unwilling to help that I just asked him to just make my payment with my debit card and cancel my account. His response? "Hold." I was transfered back to a customer service rep who took my payment and I had to ask her if my account was going to be canceled. They obviously do not educate their employees or value their customers!

Credit One Bank overall experience is disgusting

I know that when you begin to take the steps to repair bad credit because of poor choices in the past, you have to face obstacles such as high APR's, low credit limits, and upfront fees; however, one experience you should never have is poor customer service. I opened an account with Credit One Bank less than six months ago. I am in good standing financially, but my credit is poor, so typically I will charge something on the account and pay it off within the same month just to create good credit history. My two biggest complaints with this company are the website and the customer service department. The website doesn't update itself like most credit card websites, there are fees to pay your bill online, and they are always trying to get you to sign up for optional programs, even calling your home to make sure you are aware of their offers. When you make a payment online, it doesn't show as pending, so many months I have made a payment, and was nervous a few days later when it wasn't showing a payment had been made. So then, I have to call customer service...

Oh customer service, how I wish you could do better. I am a Customer Experience Manager for a major security company in North America, so I am always observant of the good, bad, and ugly when it comes to how other companies provide service in person and over the phone. I have high standards personally, but still try to interact from the perspective of the common man. So, recently I have been getting calls from Credit One Bank with a recorded advertisement for a credit protection program. Tonight, I decided to stay on the line to see if I could speak to someone about flagging my account so that I would not be called any more. The lady on the line...well, let me first say, I am a Mexican American, very proud of my heritage, and enjoy the fact that America is full of various cultures; however, when you live in America for an extended period of time or are born here, you understand, truly, how Americans speak to one another, conversationally. So, when I speak to someone at a call center that I know is not located in the U.S., that piece of my experience is missing. No matter how hard that representative tries, the American connection is not there, and when you are dealing at times with technical and detailed matters, it is imperative that the conversation be easy and fluid. Needless to say, the Credit One Bank call center is not located in the U.S.

So, here is the breakdown:

1. First lady I spoke to would not listen, went ahead and enrolled me in the credit protection program, even though I told her not to numerous times, and pretty much hung up on me before I could verify with her what changes had occurred on my account.
2. Called the credit protection department back within 1 minute of the previous call and received a recording saying they were closed. I laughed. It's funny, really, it is.
3. Called customer service and the young lady advised that the credit protection department was open, and that she would need to transfer me. I was transferred, and quickly heard a recording that they were closed. I ate some pizza and laughed again, maybe not as much as the first time.
4. Called customer service back, and spoke to my nemesis, "Amber", which by the way, isn't her name. It just isn't. I tried to tell her about my issue, and she said that she couldn't help and that I needed to speak to the credit protection department. I asked to speak to a Supervisor, and she told me no, and continued to emphasize that I needed to talk to the right department and that they were in fact open. I told her she was misinformed, that they were in fact not open, and again requested a Supervisor. She placed me on hold and came back advising that THE Supervisor, I guess there was only one, was on the phone with another customer and I would need to call back in an hour to try again. I asked if the Supervisor could just call me back when she was available. Amber was not on board with this idea. So, I then gave the option to just hold on the line, so that when the Supervisor was available, I could just be transferred over. Amber must have really not liked that suggestion because she hung up on me. Oh Amber, why do you have to be like that?
5. Called back and spoke to a much nicer gentleman, and asked to speak to a Supervisor. He asked what the issue was regarding, I told him, and he placed me on hold. He came back in less than a minute, advised that ALL of the Supervisors were busy, but he could take down my name and number and someone would call me back shortly? I must tell Amber this good news. I gave him the information and hung up, ate some pizza, and waited.
6. Less than 5 minutes later, I received a call from a Supervisor, who listened without interrupting, apologized, advised the calls would be reviewed and that Amber would be reprimanded "severely", and offered his assistance for any further questions. I asked if he could tell if I was enrolled in the credit protection program, my original question 800 calls ago, he said I was not. I asked him what the direct number was for the credit protection department, he gave it. And, I then asked what the hours were. He placed me on hold, came back, and said, "Thank you for staying on the line. They are open from 8am-8pm EST." I thanked him and ended the call.

So, you be the judge. Could all of my questions been handled with the first call? How can a department call me to enroll me in something that I don't want, when they technically aren't open? The original call to my home was at 7:33CST. I live in Texas. These are the mysteries of the world. I do know that this is strike two for Credit One Bank. I had a previous billing issue that invaded my time and day off, and it took forever to resolve. One more strike, and it's curtains for this card. I have built my credit up enough with other companies, so to lose this one, while I do love the look of the card, would not be detrimental to my financial soul or credit score.

Be warned future cardholders. Do your research before you make a final decision. Be prepared, and be firm. You are in charge of your credit, your finances, and your life. I hope someone finds this helpful, or at least entertaining...

I knew they weren't in the United States! I had to call 3 times today to get info on how to dispute a charge. Each time I got someone with an Indian accent, who only appeared to say what was in their script. What are the chances of that if the were really in states? I'd ask a different question and try to explain, but all the rep would do is repeat the same thing, as if they had no idea as to what I was saying. I finally asked the last rep I spoke to where the call center is located? Of course she said Henderson, Nevada. I told her I know for fact you have to be somewhere else, more than likely overseas. It is so frustrating to have real problem and can't talk to anyone who can't help you unless it's scripted. Outsourcing is such a bad idea, especially if the "outsourcers" don't speak, understand English enough to provider excellent customer service. I will paying off this credit card and closing the account. I really don't need/want this aggravation. And on a side note, my dispute question was not really answered. Although this was an after thought, I logged on the company website and looked under frequently asked questions and got the answer there!

Credit One Bank horrific customer service

I made a payment to Credit One Bank on 2/20/2010. On 2/24/2010 displayed a credit for the payment I made. However, my available credit did not reflect the payment I just made. I called service and the CSR explained that the payment I made need to be verified by my bank. I explained that the funds had infact been released from my bank. The CSR would not let me get a word in edgewise. I explained again. The funds are no longer available at my bank, your self acknowledges the payment, what else needs to be verified. The CSR then tells me the funds I just payed would not be available until 3/02/2010. WOW! This does not make sense. I asked to speak with a supervisor. The supervisor, or whomever, immediately rattles off some rhetoric about reverse payments, again I am unable to get a word in, and ignorantly asks if I have ever worked for a bank and explains that she has and that I do not know banking systems. I'm thinking to myself, why would I care, I want to know why my payment I just made is not reflective in my available credit. I asked, "your telling me that it takes 9 days for funds to become available. The supervisor says emphatically, YES! I asked why is this not consistent on a monthly basis. She says "I don't know" wow! I say okay" Let's do this, I want to pay the remainder of the balance tonight and close the card. The supervisor responds, Okay! Places me on hold. I stay on hold for 10 minutes, nothing, I finally hangup because it is obvious what she is doing, waiting for me to hangup. I'm sure I won't receive a call from them. I am going to pay the remainder of the balance via B of A bill pay. I've done this before and It takes 1 day to clear. Unreal!

CREDIT ONE BANK needs to be investigated. I too have put up with a great deal of aggravation and unfair practices. On top of that, I am sick and tired of calling them and getting reps in the Phillipines who can't understand what you're trying to say and are extremely rude. Stay awa from CREDIT ONE BANK!

Get a copy of the Credit One paid letter and forward it to Resurgent. Then request that Resurgent update their system and tremove you from their call list. You might want to check your credit to verify that Credit One and Resurgent show as paid with a zero balance. If you need help contact us at www.CreditCleaners.Net

The above should solve the problem. Best wishes to you.

Credit One Bank overdue bill, fradulent practices, closed account fees, scammers, bunch of liers

I had this card for several years now and I never had any trouble with it. My headache started when I called to
closed the account. I spoke to a representative and asked him that I wanted to pay in full and closed my account
it all happened in Oct. Everything went according to plan and I was happy to get rid of another card as I'm trying to pay up my debts. I never heard from them until now january, they've send me a letter charging me $105.00 dollars from their collection department supposedly because there was an existing charge of $16.00 dollars, in addition late fees of 29.00 dollars were being added for every month that I missed to make the payment. The fact is that they never sent me a bill until now.
Frustrated I call them. a lady told me harshly to call within a week, she told me that she was going to put a note and they would waive it out. I hanged out, but somehow I felt that the conversation was short and doubtful, for some reason I got that feeling something was not right. I decided to give a call back later and maybe try a different person and maybe hear that in fact she made a note about it. I called and this time I spoke to a guy, I explained my situation to him, I didn't mention anything about my previous call neither the guy told me if something was being done about it. As I expected. Instead. he was affirming I made a purchase and didn't pay the balance and as a consequence late fees were adding up. I brought to him that how is it possible to make purchases and charged fee when my account is closed. Ridiculously he started changing strategy asking me how made the full payment.
I told him I spoke to someone, he follow up by saying that up on his system he sees that indeed a full payment
was a made but that I did it through the automatic system therefore there is no way a couldn't have close the account. At this point I was agitated, CAN YOU BELIEVE IT? After arguments with him on the phone I went to my laptop got in to their website to check my account. As I check the account I see that the account its currently close so I brought it up. the guy is again called in his own lies, he then start by saying that there are not the ACTUAL bank, that the information the bank provide to them is limited then again I asked him why if my account is closed why when I check online I see there still an open credit line of $400 why you guys charge the $105.00 to the credit line?. At this point he's offering to reduce 30 dollars from the account he says its all he can do, I requested to speak to his supervisor and he's telling me she's out for lunch, I asked when she coming back, he tells me that he doesn't know, What the heck? finally I asked him to transfer me to the real bank, he tells me to hold I as he transfers and he hanged up the call. what kind of business is this?
Anyone out there I want to get rid of these ### I would never let one of my family nor any person I know sign up a card with these people. At this point I'm willing to paid up the 70 dollars and get them out of my life.
However can I rest assure they will not bother again?

Credit One Bank will not handle a dispute by phone!

I noticed an invalid charge on my account dated 11-23. It was posted on a statement dated 11-25. I called on 11-27 to tell them that this was a fraudulent charge and the lady who helped me insisted that this charge was not processed yet as she did not even see it in the "waiting for process" charge area. I explained it was on my statement, and she continued to insist that it hadn't been charged yet and to wait a few days and call back.

I reviewed the charge online and it was in fact on my charge card statement dated 11-25, so I called back to initiate a dispute. The person there tells me to copy my statement, circle the disputed charge, and fax it, as it indicates on the back of my statement. I asked him to initiate the dispute by phone and he said he cannot. When I insisted on speaking to a manager, he put me on hold then told me to call back in a half an hour.

I told him I would close the account if he could not put me in touch with a manager within 15 minutes, and I would gladly hold. He stated I could not hold, but he would help me close my account.

I gave him my phone number and told him that I wanted a manager to call back within 30 minutes, or the next call I made would be to close my account.

Of course, no call...

Sad part is closing the account hurts MY CREDIT Rating...

DO NOT SIGN UP FOR A CREDIT CARD WITH THESE PEOPLE...

I ordered a portable grill from CA Markets on April 5, 2019. To date, researched the internet for a phone number and I have emailed CA Markets 3 times for an update on my order and a tracking number. I have not received an answer to any of my emails. I called Credit One Bank to get a phone number for the company but they said they couldn't give it to me. I was told to send a letter so their dispute department could find out about my order. I was told it would take up to 90 days!

Most credit card companies provide the vendor's phone number on your statement. Credit One does not. Their only resolution process is by mail. It seems they are protecting the vendor and disregarding their customer's problem. It's unreasonable to have to wait up to 90 days for an answer. I feel disregarded by Credit One and plan to cancel my card after this issue is resolved. Silly me, I thought they would want to help their customer instead of the vendor. I guess they make more money with this vendor.

CA Markets is a Scam.

Most credit cards do require that disputes be put into writing. If your instructions on this card's statements say they'll do it by phone, then you should complain up the corporate ladder and to the BBB.

Credit One Bank a bad decision

I knew something was wrong when I got a statement before I got a card so I did what I should have done before I applied and looked up Credtid One Bank on line. If you're reading this then you know what I found. Site after site filled with complaints of every kind about this company.
It sounds like these guys are betting that since we made mistakes with our credit in the past, we'll make the same mistakes with them.
After reading several complaints I plan on doing a few thngs to protect myself. The first thing in going to be not using the card and paying off the initial fees.
If you request a company not to call you either in writing or in a recorded phone call, then by law they have to stop. if they don't and you can prove it, then you can take legal action. Another way to keep them from calling is to let them know you are recording the call. That usually works.
Keep photo copies of your billing statements and mail your payments early. Send money orders via certified mail and keep the M.O stub with the statement. That way you can prove when you mail it, when they got it, and how long they waited to cash the M.O.
It sounds like they're countng on people being afraid of hurting their credit any more than it already is so you'll just put up with the abuse and pay the charges and fees.
Also, if you mail a written request that they stop the "HARRASING" phone calls, send a notarized letter by some method that you can track and verify. FedEx, UPS, etc.
Remember, you'll probably have to have all this for a court or judge to look at. The more you can prove, the better off you'll be.
According to what I've read, this company has been sued in the past and had to pay back any fees they wrongly charged.
There are Federal, State and local groups available to protect consumers from abuse. Find them and use them.
Good luck.

Credit One Bank fraudlulent card-sent to collections

I never applied for a credit card, nor did I ever receive a card from credit one. When I went to purchase a vehicle, there was a charge off from credit one. I wrote them and they were unable to verify the account or charges. I have this in writing. They then sold the account to another party, who is suing me. The third party bought the account, which is for about $600, for pennies on the dollar. I now have an attorney involved and previously had made a formal complaint with the ftc, and filed a sworn statement that this was identity theft, yet they still sold the card and are pursuing it., my attorney is going to counter sue for far more than their 600 balance. This ruined my credit and I am disguisted that, despite the fact that they could not verify the account, they still put it on my bureau. The bureau removed it, but then the second company put it on.
Do not trust this company. They will resell your account to ten different people!
The government needs to step in.

Credit One Bank bills

My husband and I both received offers from credit one bank for credit cards, we never even called or sent in the application accepting the offer, 2 weeks later we both received cards in the mail. I looked at the limit and the fee's and trashed everything because it was ridiculous and all the complaints online didn't help on their case either. On the statement, it said that we were charged for a $69 one time up front fee, and the annual fee would be $69 as well and it would be divided into 12 months, so every month on the bill there would be a $5.75 charge. I called them to check on these accounts, and ask about why we were sent cards and charged for them when we never even accepted their offers let alone use them and they were being so rude the entire time. After about an hour of arguing with these people they finally said that they would cancel the cards and take the charges out, but they're still on my credit report as being open. I called them back and found out that none of that stuff ever processed and the accounts were still open with payments needing to be made. Anyone that get these card offers DON'T GET IT AT ANY COST!

Credit One Bank debit payment charge

There are a lot of complaints about this company, so I thought I would add my two cents. I have become almost totally reliant on my computer to pay the bills each month. It is fast, reliable, and convenient; I am sure you will all agree. But, do not make the mistake of making your monthly Credit One payment online. I did for the first and last time; when I found out on this months statement that they charged me almost $10 to do so. So, my minimum payment was $15, I paid them $20 (to try to get a little ahead) and they charged me $10 on my next statement to pay online. And the thing that got me the most is that they never disclosed this anywhere at anytime on the website while I was making the payment. This is rediculous; I have never been charged to pay a bill.

Credit One Bank overcharging

DO NOT sign up to a credit card with this bank. They have mastered the art in robbery. As soon as you sign up it is a one time fee of $69, and then an annual fee of $69. Now, the annual is broken down monthly at $5.75/month. Here is the kicker! Unless you want to mail your payment, they will charge you a processing fee of $9.95 for both online and over the phone. So in reality, the "annual fee" is more of a monthly maintenance fee of $15.70 a month just to keep your account current on a monthly basis. Make sure you read the fine print on their credit cards. Buyer beware! They also have very shady customer service too.

Yet another bank scam. The entire United States Banking system is frought with GREED, CORRUPTION AND THIEVERY. But who cares? Obama will pay for their sins at the cost of the average SUCKER American. And there is absolutely NOTHING you can do to prevent this short of moving to the Cayman Islands.

Credit One Bank preapproved card

I was sent a preapproval letter stating I am approved for a card. When I went online to sign up, I was denied. Granted my credit isn't perfect, that is why I am willing to use a card like this to build my credit. This is now a stroke on my report as someone checking my credit. Upon talking to a outsourced representative, whom I could barely understand, I got a scripted run around. I asked for a supervisor, and was met with severe reluctance and placed on hold for a half hour. Finally when a supervisor came on line., another scripted run around. Transferred to another person... just a recording! transferred to freecreditreport.com... Another outsourcing someone from God only knows what country! refusal to transfer me to a supervisor. I cannot understand the broken English. What is going on with this country?.. I recommend you run from any offer from creditonebank! bait and switch and now have my email, social security number and other pertinent information up for sale to the highest bidder. My next step is the better business bureau.

Credit One Bank outrageous chardes

I applied for this JOKE of a card over two years ago. Only once has a payment ever been received late, and that was one day. I recently requested to change my billing due date because I am moving, the request was accepted, so I waited to send out a check. I would pay on line except, opposite of any real company, their charges for on line payments range from $7.95 to $9.95. Low and behold, I was assessed a late fee of $29 AFTER receiving a letter stating my request WAS approved for, August First! So, I figured it had to be a mistake; I called, and "NO Sir, that letter meant that as of the August 1st billing cycle". For a lousy $200 credit limit after building my credit over the past two years with Legitimate cards, I find this company to be outrageous! If there is a way of having these charges reversed, I would greatly appreciate that information. I now am simply planning to pay off the card, cut it up and mail it back to them some time in August or September. joeyinpa -at- comcast.net

I was emailed by credit one bank telling me my credit card payment is past due. Payment due date was was dec. 10, 2017. I sent a check to them on nov. 20, 2017 whiched cleared my bank on nov. 27, 2017. I called customer service and spoke to a representative who made no sense. She told me it will reflect on my account once they receive my payment. I tried to tell her it was already recieved because it had cleared my bank long before the due date. I got no where with her and spoke to a supervisor who is equally as dumb.in the mean time i'm being charged by credit one bank a $29 late fee and risk a negative mark on my credit report.

I had my card stolen over a year ago. I called and canceled it luckily with no fraudulent charges. I then sent in a money order to pay off my remaining $560.00 balance. I then received calls from them saying I needed to pay. I told them I sent in a money order. They said they never received it. They told me to send in the receipt of the money order and they would take of of it. Got calls a few weeks later. Same thing! I told them I sent in the receipt. They again said they never received it! They then said I was being turned over to collections! And there was nothing they could do.

So not i am out $560.00 and am not getting a bad credit rap for THEIR SCREW-UP!

My card was suspended due to being over the limit. I continued to make my payments and received a letter early October that my account had been reactivated due to making timely payments. Thing is, my card was expired. I called today (11/3) and asked for a new card and was told that my account had expired and I would have to reapply. The cost to reapply is $75. I then asked how the card expired and the rep said 'lack of use'. I asked her how could I use the card if it was expired? She did not have an answer. I told her this was a good scam but I was not interested. What a joke!

Watch out - beware of dealing with these people. They call 10-15 times a day from 3 different phone numbers and never leave a message and they aren't even on the phone when you answer - it's a computer dialer that dials over and over from 8am to 9pm sometimes twice back-to-back in the SAME MINUTE!

If you have cards with these people - pay them off, close the accounts and DON'T LOOK BACK - THEY ARE A NIGHTMARE!

Its worst when they claim that they haven't received your check. However, your bank statesment shows they withdrew the money 2 months ago. They want proof they cashed my check but they don't send the checks to be cashed. Instead, they call the bank and give the check information(on line cashed) and NO RECORD of the cashed check for me to request. They want for my bank to fax them proof that they cashed the check and my bank wants them to call my bank and neither one wants to do anything. This blood sucking thiefs are out of this customer. Although they've already made over $100 in 3 months that I had a credit card with them. That's $7.95 three times I paid over the phone to avoid another lost but CASHED check, a once a year enrollment fee of $65, three time once a month fee of $5.75 annual fee and the $2.22 and $2.48 monthly balace fee. I should have never put those $53.00 dollars of gas since I NOW still owe them $57.05 when I already paid $110.80. That's if I didn't forget any of the other charges. I know its my fault for not reading the fine print but I was desperate to rebuild my credit. I have since closed the account but didn't want to give them my $20 dollars that easy without making them WASTE their time for ripping me off.

I have had a few occasions where I needed to talk to their customer service reps and they have been rude and inconsiderate of my situation. I've even noticed that when it comes to questions regarding billing and payments or FEES...They laugh into the phone with a chuckle or sigh as if they are making me some kind of "private" inside joke. I'm sure I make more per hour than any of them will ever acheive in their low life careers yet they make their so-called "Customers" feel like we are way beneath their time and trouble when we call for assistance with our cards. These people are truly vultures in every sense of the word, they work for a company that encourages them to lie, cheat, steal, manipulate and harass people into giving them our sensitive data and money in order for their scam to go on.
STOP PAYING THEM, just stop. They are ruining our scores and making us pay them to get richer. Stop paying them even if it means losing a few points on our own scores. We can always write the credit scoring agencies and tell them how we got into trouble by using these fake companies, we can always add credit file disputes, but we can never get out of the way if we keep dealing with predators like these.

I never even applied for a visa card through credit one. I recieved a card in the mail and never activated the card. Then I recieved a bill for $124.00 AND THIS WAS ALL FEES. I paid the fee and then tried to cancel the card but they would not cancel the card. Instead they transfered another fee to a different credit card and billed me again, and still no response. I have turned them in to the BBB of las Vegas and now I am calling the Attorney general for unfair consumer practices.

I agree with all the complaints. This Credit One Bank is run by crooks and deceivers. They sent me a $200 pre-approved card and after charging me $69 for firts time charge I was left with only $131 to spend. I was late sending my payment due to Christmas delay in mail service. Now I owe them $252 after making my first two paymentes of $20 each.
I try to contact them 10 times using the two numbers they say are CUSTOMER SERVICE and I only get automatic answers from a machine.
When I check my balance in Spanish I get a different ammount than when I do in English.
All is managed to confuse the customer an toi increase their profits.
SHAME ON CREDIT ONE BANK.

Credit One Bank they are thieves!

As someone stated before me, I got a pre approved limit of $200.00, and after the activation fee it was only about a hundred something left on the card but I didn't mind because I got this solely for emergency use only as I have an Orchard bank credit card and they are fine by me. So I activated the card about January or February so I hadn't had i very long. The first thing I didn't like is that if you make any other form of payment other than through the mail they charge you to pay your own bill and guess where they put the charge? On your credit account of course. To pay by debit is $10.00, to pay by bank charge is $7.00, I made my first two payments with bank draft because I didn't want to be late but after that I started sending checks, which I hate doing with card companies because they will try to hold the payment sometimes to make it look like you owe a late fee. Anywho, aside from the astronomical interest rate of 23.99% I ran into problems with this card when I made a payment and the bank accidently gave me the wrong routing number. So, when I realized what happened I immediately sent a check (on time) and was told my account was suspended until I got Bank verification in the form of the letter on a bank letterhead. FINE... So I went after school one day, down to my bank to simply get account verification in form of a letter, blah, blah, blah. They connect me to someone on the phone and Im told it will cost me about $15.00, which Im not going to do because I didn't do anything wrong. I told credit one, so I decided to print on my online statement and fax it to them, they didn't accept that but didn't even let me know they received my fax. When I called to ask if they received my fax they couldn't give me an answer she said she might not know for about a week. So then I'm thinking well why the hell even send a fax? When I called to follow up they told me they received it but it wasn't the proper document, I told them the trouble my bank gave me and they still wouldn't budge. I even continued to pay them when i couldn't even use my account, they had no problem cashing in my checks though. Not to mention their service reps are very callous and nonchalant. If your looking for a card to rebuild your credit or to begin a credit history try orchard Bank, the service reps can be annoying always trying to get u to sign up for something, but they are very nice and reasonable and don't charge an arm and a leg to pay your own damn bill. Credit One Bank would rather close your account than be reasonable and work with you, so I ended up closing it last month and I was glad to do so, I initially didn't want to because my credit score will take a hit but it shouldn't be too bad since I didn't have the account but 5 minutes. I would rather do that than deal with them ever again. So PLEASE head my warning, save yourself the time and money. If you get an offer from Credit One Bank RUN LIKE HELL. I wish there were more reviews out before I fell in their trap.

Credit One Bank unauthorized charges

I was told to contact Credit One LLC when my credit score was low and I was going to get a bad rate. Remax in Elizabethtown suggested that I contact them. When I contacted them a guy (the owner and I will not state his name) told me he was my savior of the credit world and he knows how to manipulate the credit companies to do his will. He also went on to tell me how the government doesn't want us to improve our scores and so on and so on. I was a little wary of him but I was really out of options and thought that I would give it a shot and go talk to him. So that same night on the phone he told me that he needed 600 dollars to start the process and get going. I told him that I didn't have 600 dollars and he told me that he would take payments. So I gave him my debit card. So I go to talk to this guy and 4 days later and he doesn't even remember talking to me on the phone. We talked for almost 2 hours, well he talked and I listened. But what made me feel comfortable when I got their was that he was a Mason. Being that I am a Mason as well I thought well this guy couldn't be all to bad and he would at least lead and be straight with his own brother. I was wrong. I did all that he wanted me to do, I would request my credit reports each month from all three major agencies and send them to him. From there he would dispute any incorrect info. Also he told me to do something I was unsure about and that was to change my address to a realities address or friends address so that it would create a 'new file' if you will. I found this to be odd and asked him if this was legal and he said that people changed their address all the time. So my wife and I did. He said that it would take 6 months for the process to be complete and I should be shinning like gold. Well let me tell you, I didn't apply for anything during that time. I got a pay raise at my job and actually paid off some bills and my credit score and my wifes scored never improved. My wifes score actually went down. So, I called my savior of the credit world up and asked him why I paid him 600 dollars to actually lower my score and actually why I had to change my address. I asked him to give me documentation on what he did for the services I paid for. All I got from him was a lie that he never told me to change my address and that he didn't like my voice on the phone towards him and that he would fax me over something. I never received anything from him, and my future call to him were never returned. He was never there. This 'company' is still in business how I don't know. I have an attorney ready to do something about this but before I do anything I was just wondering if anyone else out there was asked to do the same as me.

Credit One Bank fraudulent charges

We started receiving collection calls and that we owed $875. We have never had a Credit One Charge card. We requested documentation of the charges from the bank. We never received documentation. We told them that the charges had to be fraud. No action was taken by the company, only more collection calls. Our CPA tried to handle the matter and we told that she could not talk or deal directly with the company. WE never filled out an application for this card.

Our CPA told us to contact the Attorney General's office of our state and Nevada. WE suggest that you do the same thing.

Credit One Bank identity theft

I am trying to refinance my home and found a write-off from Credit One on my credit report. It has never been there before. Apparently, someone using my name and SSN decided to open a card and not pay for it in 2001. Now the charges have been written off, and Credit One thinks I need to deal with it.

I've filed a police report, and can't get through to the fraud division to talk to a live person. All I get is the answering machine. When you call the customer service people, they don't have a clue. Archive people are snotty, and tell you that it'll be 7-10 business days before an investigation is complete. Well, hello! They say they will check to see if I activated the card or not. I never had the card in my possession. How in the name of green grass would I have activated it? The person who ran up the charges did! He/She was apparently quite good, as they did the same thing at a hospital while I was on a road trip out of state.

Does anyone ever have any luck resolving anything with this company? Or do lawyers have to get involved?

I just received my third phone call from these people claiming that I owe them $800. I have never even heard of these people before. I asked for teh last four digits of the social security number of the person they were chasing and they were not mine. However, they did get our unlisted phone number and they did call me at work. Where did they get that information from is beyond me. Next step is our attorney. We recorded the third call where I shared with them that it is against the law to share the debt of one person with a third party. I would never do business with this company if they were the last company on earth. I hope someone busts their balls!
