Credit Acceptance they are a unethical, rude, predatory, greedy loan agency and will drive you to murder.

I purchased a car that was worth $7000 of the lot. I put down 30% of the value on the car and was still forced to use this company as a middle man because I had no credit. I took it all in stride as a no-frills way to build my credit. How wrong I was? I was hit with a interest of 21% for a older vehicle. The car had no way of being refinanced because of the age and credit acceptance wasn't willing to restructure my contract to make the payments more manageable. I couldn't sell it privately because of the high payments and if I turned it back in, I would lose everything I put into it plus I wouldn't get anything significant for it. I was driven crazy with the harassing phone calls (over 50 times a month) and the constant threats of repossession and litigation. The car was ended up being repossessed in January. I was constantly misled and lied to by their agents on how to get the car back and where the car was. I paid over $500 dollars to have my car released in March. When I had arrived to pick up the car, all my personal effects of value were gone and there was damage all over the body and my passenger side mirror was hanging off. Now they are trying to accuse me of damaging my own vehicle and are basically absolving themselves from any responsibility. They talk to you like you are a child and insult your intelligence when you call them out for being a predatory lending agency that preys on the poor and the desperate. Needless to say, I didn't take the car and am currently in talks with a lawyer. They know what they're doing is illegal. Litigation and tort is the only words they understand. If everyone pursues litigation against them, they will be out of business.

Credit Acceptance bad /lemon vehicle loan

I asked about a 2004 Chevy truck today...they wanted $13, 000+ for a 14 year old truck with over 160, 000 miles on it. My credit was denied (Thank God!) because, the credit source this used dealer uses also happens to be the credit source I used on my 2004 Dodge truck. (Credit Acceptance Corp.) The 2004 Dodge truck had over 180, 000 miles on it, the dipstick to check the oil was disconnected from the engine block, making checking the oil impossible. I had to just add oil periodically to it. The engine seized up, after running roughly for months. I informed the credit agency of the problem MONTHS before it seized up, and BEGGED them to help. They ignored me. I stopped making payments, why should I pay for a product that I can't use, especially since I was FORCED by circumstances to pay for transportation to replace the truck? And the credit agency, out of the evilness and greed of their heart, has given me constant negative credit ratings ever since. They still hold the loan open, and late every month. That should be illegal. Venting accomplished, thank you for listening. Powers and principalities are ruining a good man.

Credit Acceptance employee

My husband has a automobile loan and payments are due on the end of each month. June 30th, the website and phone system we're having maintainence issues and he tried numerous times to make his payment. Website stated the issue wouldn't be fixed until 8AM the following day. He paid the bill July 1st and today, the 2nd, he received a call from credit acceptance. He tried explaining to the employee the reason it was late and she not only argued with him but called him a liar and refused to allow him to speak to a supervisor. Thankfully for technology we did take a screenshot of YOUR website issue that restricted us from paying. I will find out the name of the employee and I request she is retrained on how to speak with customers or advised to find another job that she doesn't deal directly with the public. She was unprofessional, ignorant, disrespectful- and that reflects poorly on the representation of your company.

Credit Acceptance unethical behavior

Two weeks ago I called on behalf of gerry metzger account no. [protected]. At the present time he is permanently living in a elder home and will not be able to drive again. Because his income is only social security, medicaid has taken all of his money he gets to pay for the home he is in. This is what I was trying to relay two weeks ago to the person who I was talking to on the phone so I could make arrangements to give back the car he was financing. But the person decided to hang up the phone on me. I would not ever use your company to finance a dime. You can pickup his car at his old address. Mike

Credit Acceptance repossession department

My car was repossessed and after I paid to get it back I noticed that my car was missing a 2, 000 sound system that I have shown proof of and other small items that can be forgotten but the company itself has no way to ensure the safety of your belongings which is a real red flag in my book, I got a call after 5 days of calling credit acceptance with a rep name Nichole saying she had been investagating and everything checked out on each end the towing has proof that they gave the auction my car with speakers installed and the auction saying they have pics of the speakers being in my car, so now I'm stuck with getting my things back, on top of a higher bill somethings going to change or they will be hearing from me on a more legal ear

If you "bought it back" from this auction, is out possible that there was no responsibility to provide it back to you in the way out was received? They may have pulled the sound system before offering it back.

Credit Acceptance loan

Ya know I pay my LOAN every month. It is always two weeks late based on due date/pay date. You have never not gotten your payment. You are so rude I cannot believe it. Got a call from customer service today and have never in my life been treated so rudely! I activate screamed at your rep to come get the car because I am sick of dealing with you. You are horrible. Had a car LOAN with Summit Credit Union. They were beyond polite. You people are absolute [censor]. Sorry if due date and pay date don't equal out. You have never not received my car payment late or not. Your customer service reps are worse than dogs and I hope the loser who called me tonight chokes and dies. I will refinance and kiss your loser [censor] goodbye. You are the worst finance company I have ever dealt with.

Credit Acceptance auto finance over change

I just paid off a car that is worth 5000 at best, i was charged 19500 for it due to not so great credit. I keep calling randomly to check balance and add up when i would be done paying 357 a month, i would add it to be paid at a date, but when that date comes i would still have a balance. After i called and just paid off the balance at 425, i asked for full payment history. I got full payment history and on it was the initial balance of 17154.18, i saw quite a few random transaction corrections on it that did not make sense to me and brought my balance back up each time and in the end i bought a 5000 dollar car that was supposed to be 17154.18 and paid a grand total of 19500. I never missed a payment please explain why i was robbed of about 2000 dollars despite the robbery of buying a 5000 car for 17000?

Credit Acceptance negligence

I was a customer at this bank. I have closed my account paid in full yet they still are pulling automatic payment even after I called to cancel it. I now have overdraft fees to my bank due to their negligence. I called again to resolve this and they stated that it was my negligence for not having the amount they were trying to pull even through they aren't supposed to be pulling it. Their response was their is nothing that they can do even though it's their negligence.

Credit Acceptance payment postponement

Call Credit Acceptance. Went through automated service to postpone a payment to a later date.
which was accepted. (Not a problem or so I thought) I actually made the Payment 3 days before the payment postponement date which Credit Acceptance received and cashed.
Two days after Credit Acceptance cashed the check, received a letter of default from Credit Acceptance stating payment has be made by certain date and your vehicle will be repossess if you default on future payment. How does this constitute a default if you have already may arrangement to delay a payment, which was accepted, by Credit Acceptance plus the payment was received and cashed by Credit Acceptance 3 day before the payment postponement date? Called a Credit Acceptance to question why the default letter was sent. The only thing Credit Acceptance rep could tell me, reading from a script, is it does not matter if you postpone a payment with them, they are required by your state to sent a default letter and I needed take that up with my state, per them send default letters on postpone payments. If that's the case, why don't Credit Acceptance tell you that when you postpone your payment and let you know a default letter will be sent. It's the whole purpose of posting a payment is not to get a default letter, especially if the company accept the payment postponement? If payment was made by the postponement date, them I would have a problem receiving the default letter but that was not the case Sound like Credit Acceptance don't give a hoot or less about consumer right to know only about how it a gain for them.

Credit Acceptance unethical actions

I had two suv's through them. Paid off one in 2013, this past october a car hit me and totaled my other suv. My insurance and gap insurance paid off what I owed left. This company reported my account as closed derogatory and that it was in collections and paid off. This has drastically reduced my credit score and trying to get this company to help me is obviously not working. They probably did this evil thing because they lost out on future interest.

Credit Acceptance vehicle

I make my monthly payments in full but due to some slow work I couldn't make the late fees for about three months but still made the full monthly payments just not the late fees so they cut my car off remotely and said I was 41 days behind due to the late fee and then sent the repo man out there to get it even after I made a agreement to take care of it Thursday when I got my check, needless to say the repo man came but luckily my fiancé paid it for me thru her checking account before he hooked up to it. They are rude, arrogant and only try to make people miserable and get over. I wouldn't recommend them to my worse enemy.

Credit Acceptance car taken never late!

I don't even know where to start, BUT, here I my story...My husband had a note on a 2002 GMC Yukon, for which HAS BEEN being paid for roughly three years so far...well he passed away 1/23/14 and Credit Acceptance was notified BACK THEN about his passing because I was told to send over his DEATH CERTIFICATE so I can get the CREDIT FOR BEING ON TIME WITH PAYMENTS!...so they were notified BY ME on MARCH 12/2014...
one week ago, I was called by one of their illiterate employees, which must be a REQUIREMENT as every person I have spoke to there is ignorant, arrogant and ILLITERATE! Goes with the territory and how they treat the customers, they certainly are "PREDATORY LENDERS" and I am going to blast them on the MEDIA, on the INTERNET and any which way I can, because NO BANK, NO COMPANY should be allowed to charge 25% INTEREST...anyway, they contacted me the week of Feb 16th/2015, only to tell me that I have TEN DAYS to pay of the note of $5, 900.00 (roughly) or they are REPOSSESING THE TRUCK, because THE "MAKER" my husband, died, OR IT WILL BE REPOSSESED in TEN (10) days, Meanwhile, I was told that by me sending over that DEATH certificate, that the LOAN would be transferred to my name, this was I CAN GET the good CREDIT rating in MY NAME, being I am his spouse...well that was all a lie apparently...apparently, someone screwed up, because at that time of me talking with them and sending that death cert, on the spot I should have been TOLD THIS IN MARCH 2014...so is it fair this ### company can come and take away a truck I have been paying for, in GOOD FAITH, TOWARDS OWNERSHIP! If I was given that option then, I would have told them to TAKE THE HUNK OF JUNK AWAY! This truck was my husbands, my daughter drove it (sentimental purposes)...My GRIPE is, I would not have paid them all that $$$$ knowing this...their SCREW-UP...I should be entitled to all the MONIES paid to them from the day the DEATH certificate was received, this way that money could be applied to another vehicle that will be OWNED OUT RIGHT! They will pay one way or another, I PROMISE :)

I had a vehicle financed through them and I had a payment online to go through to them this Sept. 23 and they had a repo guy with about as stupid as they come to get it. I call them and told them a payment was coming through my bank to them in the morning and one through the 285th to get caught. Up and they would not wait for my payment to process for Friday morning. One sorry company and where I bought the car they had me give them a 6.00 knife for part of down payment 850.00 to be exact

Credit Acceptance rip off, harassing phone calls

My ex-wife had my vehicle, under contract but in my name, and didn't pay for a few months. When I was finally able to get the Jeep back, I talked to them and they seemed to be willing to work with me - or so I thought. I made 3 payments in one month trying to pay it up then only owed 2 more payments. They said I could make a payment arrangement, which was done over the phone. I was to pay $100 a week since it was down to about $600 until it was paid up. I made a $170 payment that week, the sent another $100 the next week. When I called to let them know that I made the next payment, they said they weren't allowed to do payment arrangements with me and said that if I didn't pay them $477 immediately my Jeep would be repo'd as it was already in repo status according to them. They are a crooked company. Just peculiar to me that they will work with you when you owe over $1000 dollars but when you get the amount below $500, they decide to try to repo the vehicle. VERY CROOKED - DO NOT TRUST THEM - I MADE A HUGE MISTAKE WHEN I DID!
