Cracker Barrel - The complete store

I have tried Cracker Barrel in Foley, AL. Several times and can never get my order right. As for tonight we were set at a very small table and then they set a person by them self at a four top. It took 10 minutes to be greeted. We both orders chicken and dumplings which 20 minutes. We had to ask the management for silverware. The coleslaw was spoiled. I feel that they are not training the cooks properly. I work in the food industry and this was very poor service all around from servers to cooks to even the management. I would rate it at a 2 At the most. This store is in very poor order.

Cracker Barrel - Over employee experience and how cracker barrel don't live up to their name or values that they calm they have

My name is Ebony Lopez Munoz. I am a former employee of Cracker Barrel due to I quit on Monday April 2, 2018. I have been with the company for almost 4 years and I will never eat or even tell anyone to work their because there values are so wrong. The reason I feel that way is because when I started working I just had my 5 child which at the time when I was hired he was two months old at the time plus I moved from Georgia to Alabama and I always want to work a Cracker Barrel for some odd reason just thought the idea of being a server was cool lol. So back to the story so I got hire in 2014 of June I was insecure at first because I was scared to talk to people and didn't have the confidence to start conversation or even ask for drinks. I remember my first day after my two days of training to become a server how I was in the vestibule scared and about to have a panic attack when a former server name April came up to me and was like what wrong baby why you want go to your table I was like I'm to scared but she look at me and could see I was freaking out but she coach me into greeting them and when I did that when I realized that there was nothing to be afraid of no one was judging me or being rude they was normal like me so my spirit lit up because I was proud that day even though I only made 18 dollars my first day. I was so happy I told my husband he just laugh lol but he saw the joy on my face and just laugh cause he loved to see me happy. So the first couple of months I was learning and approving on my people skills and Confidence's and making friends and opening up to employee's which everybody like me I just never smile lol. Around Christmas tine that year of course it was going to be slow because our traveler's was all gone and then I learnt what a snow bird was (which is people up north) and I would always stay at night to help the closers close and learn my job better and try to learn everything I could about my Job and what I need to approve on and studied my hand book and menu that Mrs. Brenda the etc and that time had given me. During the middle of the year I learning and taking my par test so I could get my Stars and I was working doubles and Moring shift that where I meet all the original Cracker Barrel employee's the one's who had been there since Cracker Barrel had own in Foley, Alabama so I was still need there they didn't know me at the time because since I had gotten hired I was only working night's and would help close. So the original Cracker Barrel new the books by heart and would correct me if I did something wrong and they stayed in my behind until I learn everything so I didn't mine because I was new and didn't know nothing about Cracker Barrel at that time and I meet Mallory and Cory, Cory was nice aways happy to see me made me JOIN in groups to help with my shyness and made me feel like I was at home, but I stayed away from Mallory she was always gossiping and talking about other people. oh yeah and I meet Greg our GM at the time to but never spoken to him because he look serious all the time lol he was nice though and always listen and work with me and my family and Tony did too even though at the time no one liked him because they say he was really mean in all he was just serious and took his job to the heart he believed in Cracker Barrel and that we was all a Cracker Barrel family. So by the end of 2015 we had a new person came in and his name was Joel us employee's was looking around because we didn't know anything about a manager was leaving which was Greg at that time so when he told us we was all shock and begged him to stay but he left. So around November of 2015 Joel can in the first thing he did was gave everyone hours they couldn't work and made up different rules and just had all of us in chao because we was scheduled hrs we couldn't work oh yeah and we was not allowed to get breaks we had to put orders in and have drinks in two min we could have a comp or we would be getting written up and we could not get another job or we would get fired. So yeah it change alot from what I was used to but hey I was ok with the until he begin to harass his employees one time he walk out the office with a towel on his head and was like Donna this how your mama where it and laugh in her face mine you she was a 35 yr old black women with a husband and kids so she was angry and upset about the incident I was too because what he had said was wrong so she call corporate on him and when he found out it was her he begin to give her 10 -15hrs a week to teach her a lesson he say, during that time alot of employees where getting verbally abuse by him even her manager's he woke with he would call them names and belittle them in front of us and he would do the same to us so alot of people was quitting and also he would make comments about how I have alot of kids I must of been on the snap program for little black kids ect. So Joel became would only work on the day shift never nights and he became close friends with a server name Cory and Mallory and Catherine because they was young and pretty but he would also bully and pick with Mallory on the other servers and threatened to fire them when ever they would say something back to the bullies or him. Then he begin to give them more's hours let eat in server ale and each at the table with them while we are being there section but they was getting the tips and we was working our butts off, I also begin to close so I was made one of the man closer's I injured my foot from working 14 days strate and having like one day of but getting call in on days off and had to work there was a time I had a week long doctor excuse and was told I still had to come in or I would get fired so I did cause I didn't want to lose my job I loved it so I came in with a full ankle brace on I didn't served but two hrs cause I was in so much pain but I made I I closed but my husband was upset too. So I Craig announced that he was leaving because of the manager Joel attitude and work with Tony the former manager of Cracker Barrel and work for his family we all cried because he treat us with respect and like family and cared about his employee's unlike Joel. Tony did to I can remember when I didn't make enough money to buy my family something to eat he knew something was wrong but hey I didn't like asking people for help but I did he brought all of us food that night I was crying and greatful at the time, so we had lost to good manager's by then and that when Erik came in so Joel and Erik already new either form working previously so they was old pals and friends and they begin to bully Paul the manager all the time about his weight and about how he was so big that he was lazy Joel never like Paul so he decided to talk to his day shift girls about him and his fellow manager's the friends Mike and Erik a came up with a scheme to get him fire saying and telling the employee's that he stole money but during that time from the day Joel got there he was working the computer's with scheduling and ect. But Paul talk to us and said he told the corporation that him and James was associating out side of Cracker Barrel during that time which wasn't true the truth was that Joel let it be known to us employee's that him and Jim was best buds even when us employee's tried to tell James about the treatment and behavior of the manager's he would pull us in the office and would say who are you Cracker Barrel is not going to believe you y'all are nobody they will believe me over you and James my friend he ain't going to do nothing about what you told them so some more quit and alot mod the kept the mouth close due to intimidations with fear of loosening there job due to call corporate and telling on him so manger Paul left then came Matt we thought we had it bad but when they got together Cracker was hell so Matt came around I think 2016 and stuff really hit the fan so Joel had that rule about getting another job you would be fired and yes he meant what he said he fired the heck out of Cracker Barrel crew so they went to work with Craig and Tony which I was said and poor Mrs Brenda our etc at that time was so tense a wired up from the verbal abuse and picking and mistreatment of her her ring got damaged so she ask cracker barrel to reimburse for the ring oh Matt, Joel, and Erik picked on her the whole time and til she reach her breaking point and quit so during all this all the employees was smokeing cigarettes in the bathroom Mallory and amber and Joel, and. Matt both manager smoking marijuana outside in the parking lot we all new but what could we do we all had been calling hr and they always want on paper when we write it they did nothing and plus they new we was getting retaliated against by no hrs and belittling us writing is up on everything like guess walking out not paying for food comps on food because the guess didn't like it or the guest never pick there food up on Togo order's written up for not having the right table number so in the beginning almost all the original Cracker Barrel had left except like a couple of us and all the belittling and bullying was still going on even though they would hired people and they would quit after a few day or a week or two so David Gonzales became the etc until we get a replacement but before Mrs. Brenda left I was approved of becoming a red apron a trainer so I was training people before my apron came in she order so that's what I was waiting on sorry back on track so David was our sub etc until we got a replacement but Joel or Erik didn't like him they would make joke about him being Hispanic and being gay and his SEXualities but he they the manager's though it was okay during that time I was going to church but Joel rule was no one had off days you work what I scheduled you or get fired point blank period no one could cover a shift for you at all under no circumstances so yeah that was pretty hard like hard so we went threw our dry season of making little money but Joel didn't like David and gave him 20 hrs a week even when he tried to explain himself to Joel he would not give him more hrs instead he cut the guess he thought that was funny huh so David got a new job with Mrs Brenda at Applebee's Mallory over heard and told Erik and so Erik called David to the office and ask him about the job David to him he did and that he still could work his job Erik was like ok that cook but when Joel Erik And Mallory came to the office and told Joel and Joel said that Erik had to fire him so they let David go. So right then I knew it was my turn I panic cause I knew they was going to start pick on me so during that time I [censor] myself off stayed out they was so they didn't have to pick but he they found me one time I had work 14 hrs that Saturday and had to come in at 7:00 they next day but we left the building sound 2:00 we was busy that night very night so I put the wrong number in on the table they found me and call me out in front of everyone and was like are you stupid or what you don't know how to fing read or what if you don't know the table number here's the fing chart I was like dude I'm sorry but y'all don't have to call me name or talk to me like that so Matt go mad and charge at me and told me to go to the office right now which I did when we got there he was like when Joel and I speak you need to shut your mouth I was like there's away to talk to people and you should never talk to me like that act like a manager not a bully so they continue with the harassment and I called hr they said they would investigate but every time they would only talk to day shift not the night shift so they thought everything was okay because he was talking to only Joel favorites at the time our retail manager left to Mrs. diana she new I was having a heard time but was like stay strong I did I begin to get tired of all the mismanagement of the whole group so I threatened them with a lawyer Joel found out so when I was coming in to clock in they sit me down at the round in the third dining room and was like is there something you need to say to me I told him no I've already tried to talk to you about your treatment me towards me so he was like I see your getting a lawyer and since you want to get one we going to see who going to be at the top so two weeks I was getting written up every other day yelled and called names for comps and customer's walking out on there tickets but I didn't budge a bit just made me stronger and determine not not quit cause like hr said hold because there going to be a change during that time I fail my evaluation Matt fail me then apologize about failing me and our new etc came bre she worked with Joel from malbus and they where buddy buddy so everything was crazy I ask her for my red apron she said I didn't get it but o new Mrs Brenda had order so I ask Joel where it was he was like I don't know my she for got to get you one cone to find out he gave the red apron to Catherine day shift one favourite girls but Bre was not help she would not help us with our situation with the manager's or even talk to us about the problem we had with the manager's oh yeah plus he took the hr number down so we couldn't make a complaint and bre wouldn't give us the number and when someone did talk to her she would tell the manager's and talk about them with him and watch and sit and let him belittle them around that time we where getting know if we where able to get insurance from CB but Joel Ony put his favorites name on a list and told the rest or us we didn't approve for it coming to fine out all was able to get it except for new hires employees and the our new retail manager came to she said that she had reported the manager for harassment on me he pull her to the office and bullied and fuss her out so that didn't work out to good and so all this was 2017 Joel was still hear so ibwas moving at that time I took my took weeks vacation in October because either I take the vacation or quit cause I was so tense from all the toxic and negativeness so I did and when I came back Joel and Matt was gone and I was relief but they left and the harassment still continue and I realized that NOTHING really change and things remain toxic so I left April 2 2018 so from my ex I learn that Cracker Barrel don't give a crap about us little people all they care about is the number's and sale's and how fast we get the order in hr want do nothing not a real investigation they look like he if the gm making the store number 1 with the highest sale and big bonuses he must be doing something right but the mess up part is that Cracker Barrel calm to be a family ordain business if so why are all your employees not treated equally or why y'all turn the cheek on the Acton's of other's just be he good and raising number in store's for y'all they say money is the root of all evil and I believe that and I think y'all believe it too because if you didn't you wouldn't allow your manager or someone in higher power to treat y'all employees like this all the manager's demand respect I understand that I've always given respect even when I was being mistreat but the never given it back or treat us like human beings your employees belittle mistreated Verbally abuse us for years and y'all didn't do nothing I now y'all have people smart enough to no that if plenty of employees are calling about the harassment from there manager and other staff members something must be going on like 1+1=2 I now they could tell staff members where being intimated or something you all fail your employees cooks, dishwasher, prep cooks cashiers, night maintenance and server's we where a family all we wanted was respect and y'all could fight for us knowing y'all sent a person with a history or harassment and other things that right there let it be known that yall are all in it for the money and us little people deserved to be treat better because without us y'all wouldn't be making money or have a chain of Cracker Barrels
