I hear horror stories like this all of the time. Try SAGE truck driving school. They actually care. It's a private school and they train you in a truck with just the instructor. No other students are ever in the truck with you! The 1-on-1 driving is amazing and I chose their 44 hour driving program so I graduated with 150 hours in school, 44 of them being BTW and NO observation time!

hmmmm i went to burns harbor about a year ago all this stuff about screwing drivers is bull i didn't fail i even went right to a dedicated run making 1500 a week and i am home every nite and i have the weekends of>>>>>plus i didn't pay for my school i singed a contract saying i had to stay for 6 months or pay the school...im doing fine in a company truck

It was less than 24 hours before he responded welcoming me to the company, and reminding me about the opportunity they provide for homeless veterans...Some people were ranting and raving about I can't afford my rent, my house, etc... What a reminder Homeless Veterans, getting a chance to get back to work, have a career and a place to sleep! A very important segment of our Veteran Community. I needed that reminder. I think we ALL need this reminder.

Hello Guys I've Been Reading All These Complaints About CR England, Trans Am Trucing And USA Trucking, Thank God I Read This Because This November I Was Thinking Of Joining CR England And Going To School In Indiana So Thanks For The Heads Up So If All These Truck Companies Rip You Off What Company Should I Trust! I Had A Careless Driving On My Record And November This Year Would Be 3 Years Old They Told Me To Wait 3 Years Then I Can Work For Them So If There's Any Truck Company That Can Be Trusted Please Let Me Know...

i had a similar incident happen at cr england they got you to lease a truck and you have to pay fuel to r=carry out england freight at the end of the week you end up with a minus pay check driving and risking your life for free and encgland got me a in a poor house now on shelter try to get my life together after seven week of no pay just minus check net pay 0 dollar. beware of cr englang trick and treat. don't get sucking to their promise is all ###

I am amazed that C. R. England is still ripping people off in this manner. The Attorney General of Utah needs to fine this company into oblivion for unfair business practices. If this was a Union outfit, this would never stand. But never-the-less, it has only gone on for as long as it has because of the slick lawyers hired by England to cover their butts. Regardless, contracts and paperwork that is signed by would be employees, is not worth the paper it is printed on in this egregious misrepresentation that leaves people destitute, and/or without promised income. This will not stand. I said it in May 2010, and I'm saying it again: Attorney General's Office, please rectify this situation, and take this supplication and make a case against these people who have no moral compass, and everyday commit crimes against the American truck driver. It is against the law to treat people in this manner, and something needs to be done. Since October 2008, C.R.England and it's managers have caused people who thought they would would get ahead with a new job and a new start, monetary loss that is staggering. These people were lied to, cajoled, and almost forced into leasing a truck, only to; in reality help England pay for the laden equipment problem the company was experiencing. Everything they did from that point forward took advantage of people in a country with a economic predicament, and used it to enhance the trucking company's bottom line. They knew that if they sweetened the pot in the on-line advertisements, that people so strapped for work and cash, would come from all over the country, and probably wouldn't buck the opportunity to work, and then C.R.England could spoon-feed them anything they wanted too, and they would more than likely take it. In this way England could get rid of two problems. It could get equipment out of their leasing yard and on the road, and they wouldn't have to worry about a driver for three years because he signed a lease. He/she would be financially bound, and problems solved for the company. Even they have to know that it has been a dismal failure. I was hired back in May 2010. I stood in their parking lot after my driving test, and sensed that it was going to be a big waste of time to have anything to do with C.R.England. I wisely went back to my room, packed, called a cab, and went to the bus depot. Coming back to the streets for four months was better than going on that merry-go-round. I sincerely hope that some one in authority reads all these documented cases of being ripped off by a trucking company with no conscious, and takes them to task. At some point in time, all of us that have been mistreated by England, will be vindicated. Mark my words. After all, they are breaking the law.

in reply to the person who wrote that article you need to understand it its up to you to find common ground yes the reCruiter mislead you about the training you make the decision to stay so don't be player hater about driver on the road they need experience too if you failed on your task with Cr england don't blame no one but yourself i wish you great success with other trucking company
