Courts Singapore Poor delivery service

Bought a fridge and washing machine from Court Somerset Singapore on the 7th Sep 2018. Delivery of all the purchase items are arranged on 13th Sep 2018 between 2pm-5pm. However received a call from the driver at 11am saying arriving at 12pm and was asked to get home ASAP otherwise the delivery has to be rearranged. Driver arrived around 12pm and ONLY fridge was delivered. We were having the impression that all items will be delivered together as there was not mentioning of separate deliveries.

This is absolutely poor customer service and very disappointing!

Please ensure information is communicated clearly and delivery date and time are according as per agreed. Thanks!

Will not recommend Courts for bulk item purchase if delivery is required.

Courts Singapore Repayment mode

Dear Sir/Madam,

I have received a call from your legal department just today morning saying that I need to settle $500/mth and without tell me the total outstanding I owe and even did not want to review his name. Is that possible? I have received your letter stated that I am owing the amount of $3, 034.86 but how come now I have to settle total of $6000? Please explain.

I have also tell your legal department that I do not have so much money to pay per month and I re- propose of $300/mth but, your legal department just tell me if cannot pay $500/mth then wait for your side Legal letter to me. Which I feel this is so unfair. I am willing to bear the mistake and willing to pay off the amount I owe but your side do not allow me to settle and even threaten me with Legal letter. I need to support my family and my children and I really cannot afford to pay so much every month.

I need your kind help if you can accept the $300/mth and I really need to know how much exactly did I owe how come from $3k build up to $6k within a month. Please do get back to me as I also wanted to settle this matter asap.

Yours Sincerly,
Kelvin

Courts Singapore Delivery and customer service

We purchased a Panasonic refrigerator - Invoice Number: [protected], on 18 August 2018 and arranged for delivery to our home on 3 Sep 2018. Our delivery was scheduled from 11 am to 2 pm by Courts at Woodlands Causeway Point outlet.

We waited for the delivery as arranged and confirmed by Courts. At around 2 pm, we received a phone-call from the delivery team-leader. {The call was from a 'private number' hence we did not have any contact number of the delivery team.} He informed us of delay in delivery. When asked how long the delay would be, he was unable to give us an answer. He said that he was at Braddell area and had three more deliveries to be done before ours. So we asked whether it would be possible to deliver between 2 pm to 4 pm. He confirmed yes. We also told him to contact us from his last point of delivery, so that we could remove all items from our home refrigerator. He also confirmed that it was okay to leave our home refrigerator 'ON'.

We waited and at 4 pm we did not receive any call from the delivery team. So we called the Courts hotline at 4.30 pm for assistance. The specialist customer service personnel, a female was only able to say that she will try to locate where the delivery team was. We waited for her response but there was no return call.

More than an hour later, from 5.30 pm onwards, we tried to contact the specialist customer service but to no avail. Finally at 6 pm, we managed to get through and received the same response from the same female personnel. when we explained to her that it was already past four hours of the scheduled delivery time. And all she could say was that she would try to contact the delivery team. When asked if she could give a confirmation time from the delivery team, she said that SHE WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO DO THAT. Being the only link between us and the delivery team, we do not understand why she could not track the team and get a confirmation of delivery time.

I explained to her that the setting up of the refrigerator would take time, she was not interested in listening to us. And again we did not receive any calls from Courts nor the delivery team.

Finally, the refrigerator came at 6.45 pm with no pre-empting phone-call. We had to rush to remove the items and medication from the home refrigerator in a haphazard manner which added on to the stress of waiting for delivery. We had taken leave from our work to attend to the delivery. We had also inconvenienced our relatives who had helped to store our frozen items. Eventually we had to pick up those items only the next day. The settling in of the new refrigerator needed 4 hrs and
it was only after 11 pm we could clean and switch on the refrigerator.

The delivery team was very rude. And when we asked them why they did not call at 4 pm which was already their extended time, they said it was not possible due to other deliveries at other places. Furthermore the team leader also added that he could not find our block carpark. They said that we as customers must understand their situation. There is a 2 hr 45 mins lapse from the extended time and they did attempt to even make a basic call to inform us about the delay.

We have been customers of Courts right from 1998. But we never had such an horrific rude experience like this. Such incompetence by Courts specialist customer service and delivery team cannot be tolerated and is totally unacceptable. We paid for our product and not getting free service. If this is COURTS' standard of customer service, then be prepared to lose loyal customers like us.

We need a written response to our complaint from Courts.

Thank you.

Courts Singapore Never ending repayment

Dear Sir/Ma'am,
I am writing to you imploring for assistance. A little background on my situation; I had purchased some items from Courts in December 2011. My first installment was due on Feb 2017 however in my stupidity and lack of clarity of mind, I had lapsed the payment due to Courts. Subsequently, the account was handed over to GTL (Guan Teck Lim) which was then given to the bailiffs to remove the items from my home; i.e., couch, refrigerator, washing machine, stereo (and some other items I cannot remember). I did ask for the list of items removed from my home as well as the breakdown of the cost of the items that would go to paying for the amount owing to Courts. I was told by GTL that the breakdown of the items as well as the cost and the balance due would be sent to me; till date I have yet to obtain anything. This has been going on for some months now, and every time I called GTL, I am given the runaround. GTL says they have no emails to correspond with and can only do so via calls; so how do I be able to track our conversations? Left with no other choice, I approached Courst via email again and asked for the SOA. They had sent me the SOA albeit by mistake (the officer sent another email to tell me to "forget" about the email). In the SOA dated, for the transaction date 2/8/17, it showed a balance of $1802.37. This is one year ago from today. Based on that I would have paid off all the monies owing to Courts and would be deemed free and clear. However, I received a text message from Revelation Force (i believe) telling me about the monies I owed. At this juncture let me say this, the payment for the month of Aug 2018 was held off so I could get someone to call me. That is when this person contacted me and told me the amount owing was $302.37. He then said he will confirm with Courts again. The next I hear from this person I owe something to the amount of $3500. How is that possible? What have I been paying thus far? I am being harassed both mentally and emotionally. My family life is affected and I feel I am on the verge of a mental breakdown. When I asked this person about the supposed monies owing, all he said was he can't reveal and can only say this is the total amount, however if I were to pay off $3200 in cash (in one time), the account would be closed.

Courts Singapore Samsung washer & dryer ecobubble qdrive 9kg

The delivery and installation services were totally screwed up. They were very rude and just dumped in the washer in my kitchen and forced me to sign the delivery note. They expected me to solve the installation problem by myself. The sales person was very irresponsible. They just cared to sell the products and washed their hands afterwards. I totally regretted to purchase from Courts. Well, I should follow my neighbours' advice to purchase from Harvey Norman as they provided good services unlike Courts who provided lousy services. It was really a nightmare to purchase goods from Courts.

Courts Singapore Late delivery tax invoice [protected]

Tax invoice number [protected]. Delivery slot was reserved 11am to 2pm 31 Aug 2018 and the time frame is 3 hours. But the delivery arrives only after 3 pm. This is totally not acceptable. It missed the schedule of installation.

Deliver man claims too many deliver today, however this definitely is planning issue. As long the schedule is logged, no matter how far within Singapore, 3 hours shall able to deliver the items, this is the minimum expectation.

Compensation shall be given to customer for late delivery. Penalty shall be given to whole logistic department for late delivery.

Courts Singapore Poor customer service

Top of all, when a someone purchase a product from Courts, you have a customer. It don't make any sense to spend more money marketing and even giving discount to lure others to be your customer if you don't have a system/culture to take good care of these fishes that already bit i.e. you have to serve your "realized" customer well.

My recent purchase experience was a nightmare; after purchasing a fridge from the Expo, item was delivered to wrong address; and we was UNABLE to contact anybody prior, during and after delivery. The hotline selection directs you to a voice mail which is "FULL" and then cut off. I have to visit one of your store to get help; and I was told the wrongly delivery fridge (2 days ago) has not been returned to system ie item reflected as delivered. I don't have any idea when and how the re-delivery will be arranged.

Now, we purchased a new fridge because the old is not working; of course we don't expect immediate delivery; we have waiting 3-4 days for the earliest possible delivery date and it was delivered to the wrong address. On that delivery day, I tried many times to contact Courts to confirm the delivery but failed as per above explanation. The controller whom I spoke to on that day said that they can't r-deliver to another address but to return the fridge back to warehouse and re-arrange delivery on another day as it is they SOP. I full understand and accepted his explanation. What I cannot accept is, someone should be contacting me for re-delivery did not do so the next day (a Friday). I seek help for a nearby store on Saturday only be told item has yet to be returned to warehouse system. Anyway, the store manager agreed to help by leaving a comment in the system about my case.

I received a phone call on Sunday morning, the staff was apologetic and promised to arrange delivery to the correct address, but between 5pm-10pm. I accepted as my mum has been suffering from the inconvenience without a fridge for more than 1 week. However when I informed my mum about the delivery, she did not like it as 10pm will be too late as she sleep around 8:30pm. Again I tried contacting Courts and again I failed... eventually I when to mum's place to receive the fridge last night.

Now I cannot understand how Courts takes care of its customer when there is no way to contact you after they purchased an item. Even if I manage to leave a voice mail, it says it will take 2 work days to response to me. Secondly, even though I can understand sometime human errors do occur, I cannot understand what kind of recovery system Courts has in place to help customer from your errors; there is no contacts, no follow-up even when I personally take the trouble to resolve the issue, I was informed by the store manager (with an angry face, although I really appreciate his willingness to help (he is probably the most helpful person I encounter from Courts in the last 1-2 weeks)), it is Court's regulation not to provide backroom contacts to customer, and again I was left in "complete darkness" and can only hope and prey things will go well for me.

Finally, when I received the fridge last night, I found out that there was another wrong instruction given to the deliver guys; Disposal of old fridge = No. This is not a big issue as we can contact the town council, but it reflect on the level of cares and customer service the company has put in place.

Courts Singapore Flexiplan application

Dear officer,

I am writing with regards to a serious disatisfaction standard to Courts staff at different outlet providing misleading information and wrong applications made for my Flexi plan applications on 5th August evening at Causeway point Courts.

1st of all I went to TPY Courts in July to check on the flexi plan scheme on reno and furniture to understand how this scheme works.

Your sales staff Sun from Tpy courts advised he could help me to make an application to check on the advised loan amount.

As I am a new customer of Courts and I have never told up a flexi plan before Sun advised the suitable amount I can take up as a new customer with a higher chance of approval based on his experience is 5K max.

So I went on proceed to apply but I told Sun that in the event approved I might change the items that I took up for the flexi plan.

Shortly within 2 days I received call from your officer that the loan amount of 5k was approved. I was happy and Sun did a good job by advising me to choose items within 5K and not exceeding the limit.

But because I was busy with my reno works at my new house. My husband and I didn't have time to go down to TPY Courts to purchase the items on time so I told Sun to on hold the items delivery as I will come back to reconfirmed on the items.

On 5th August Sunday, My husband and I wanted to visit TPY Courts again to confirmed on the furnitures but in the end we decided to go Causeway Point courts because my mother in law wanted to buy a TV and it's nearer to her place and we decided to go Causewaypoint Courts instead.

We initially wanted to buy an Air-con and staff there mentioned I could apply for flexi plan here too.

We were introduced by Sebastian to do the application. Sebastian check my record say I have applied before I told him yes at TPY. I told him CLEARLY that Sun advised that the maximum loan amount was 5K. But Sebastian said it's alright he can re apply for me again and even said that I can also look at other items he could apply for me in separate transactions!

In my heart thinking how could this be even better than what Sun had advised. Knowing that my limit 5k approved and buying an Aircon system 4 already hit a limit of 4k. Sebastian said doesn't matter just choose what I want he will process for me and if later the application fails we can take out thd items.

Is that the standard practice? Hence I believed in Sebastian seeing that he seems very well experience and Courts staff WON'T QUOTE WRONG INFO.

I was there for few hours just waiting to apply the applications. Sebastian said he would cancel my previous and reapply again.

To my horror. The next day my WHOLE APPLICATION WAS REJECTED. WHY?
WHY HAS IT BEEN REJECTED?

Because Sebastian APPLIED for a 8k transactions which I only asked for 5K. Sebastian said don't worry I choose then apply and see how the result goes.

Hence not only 8K was rejected but my initial application APPROVED LOAN OF 5K WAS ALSO REJECTED.

I demand that this is a mishandling and mislead of information by your staff. I REGRETED that I should have gone back to Sun at TPY Courts such things would not have happened. I am sure he wouldn't advised me on buying exceeding this amount.

I like to stress on I DIDN'T AGREED ON 8K AS THIS IS A MISLEAD FROM YOUR STAFF. I have said that anything beyond 5K will not be approved.

So why am I being rejected if I want to take back the initial loan amount of 5k which Sun applied and credit approved!

Was it me the one as a customer who will understand all the policies and procedures?

If I do not received a satisfactory answer. I will highlight this matter to CASE.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Regards
Carmen Chow

Courts Singapore Poor one to one exchange package

My husband bought a electric cooler (Honeywell) form Courts Bukit Timah on 1 May 2018 and signed up a one-to-one exchange package. By Mid Aug the cooler was not able to work properly. We brought it to the store for an exchange and the staff said it is the distributor's issue. When I sent it back to Mayer in Ubi, the staff denied of such arrangement although earlier in the morning I phoned his staff and he said I could get it fixed on the same day - or for exchange. That staff just denied he made the claim. Hopefully the tele-conversation was recorded, but who knows, it is up to them to keep or delete, right? Back in Court, when I called the warranty dept of Courts, a lady named July said they are not responsible for the one-to-one policy and it is their service dept's issue, She attempted to call twice (I wait for for than 15 mins) and unsuccessful. Imagine Courts' own staff cannot get through the line, then how can customers get through these lines? The most ridiculous thing is that the hotline cannot answer query and one has to go back to the store! Didn't we went last night? The hotline just babbling useless information that can be retrieved from website. Then July couldn't promise the store will get the message she sent through email and couldn't promise if there is stock for one-to-one exchange and she still repeatedly said that she is helping me! Eventually it was a wasted 4 hours' trip from Bt Timah to Ubi and then back to Bt Timah, carrying the bulky cooler, with nothing actually achieved. I think the entire service line of Courts is a hoax and their game is just to wasted your time, so that when it is 5pm or 6pm, they can go home and ignore your enquiry. Courts' service was non existence!

Courts Singapore Aircon servicing

I called [protected] and spoke to Crystal on 23/08/2018. She is by far the worst customer service officer i've ever come across and she didn't bother to follow up regarding my appeal to waive the $150 chemical wash. The reason for waiver is because Courts missed the quarterly call to remind us on our aircon servicing. Due to this, our aircon had to go for a chemical wash which can be prevented if Courts had done their due diligence. Normally we receive a call from Courts when it is time for our aircon to be serviced but this time round, we realised it had been a year delayed.

Two men already came and diagnosed that chemical wash is needed to improve the performance of the aircon. I'm willing to pay $150 for the chemical wash for the outdoor condenser but not for the INDOOR unit. As a loyal and faithful customer who is obviously not in the wrong and should not be monitoring this quarterly servicing as we had paid for the servicing package, Courts should waive the amount that Im not willing to pay.

Crystal have been avoiding my calls and kept telling us her supervisor is not free or on leave or not in office when I just want to escalate my issue. I just want to settle this amicably but it seems that the officers are taking this personally and not being professional at all. What kind of service is this? I am appalled by the service standards Courts has potrayed and I will not hesitate to blow up this matter if no one bothers to attend to my issue.

Kindly call me, Yusaini once you have come to a solution for my case.

Courts Singapore Staff service

I was at courts megastone located at tampines north drive 2 on 18august 2018 at 1130am. I went to level 3 looking for mobile phone. All the staffs are around busy, either talking to each other / on handphone or texting on handphones.

I gesture to one one the staff at a distance away who came over and told me that he isn't handling the mobile phone section, who later inform a lady staff who is handle this section to attend to me. Your store has many staff, but stay within their own section.

The lady staff (unfortunately I didn't note her name on the tag) came over, busy talking on the line. She attended to me while putting her line on hold, with an eagerness to keep our conversation a short one so she can continue hers. No introduction on the product (Samsung J4) I was looking at. After a few rounds of product questioning, she is finally willing to go off the line, to talk to me.

We have a few exchange of the product. after a few rounds of confirmation on the promotional gift that comes with the purchase, i decided to purcahse the samsumg J6 instead. she brought me to the payment counter. While queuing, she was busy texting away on her handphone without noticing an empty counter. Until the cashier gestured me, then i move towards the counter, and your staff, still busy texting away.

The amount was presented to me for payment and I realise it didn't match the price of the product I am texting. I questioned the lady staff, then i realise she has gotten the model wrong. She thought I wanted to buy the J7. I am shocked. I told her i never even know how a J7 phone looks like, how can i possibly buy it? I was wondering whether earlier the few rounds of exchange on product knowledge were we not talking on the same product! Then she claim J6 was out of stock!

This is terrible customer service! Your staff was out of focus, didn't even bother about servicing.

Upon my request, she checked the available stock of J6 model at your ang mo kio branch. She came back with a 'no stock' response. Apparently I was at your ang mo kip branch the day before where the staff there told me they have ample stock on Samsung J6.

The only time when she was real helpful was to tell me to buy from other stores other than courts that don't have the J6 I was looking at. Hence that makes me wondering whether she felt that calling the other branch to check for a customer is too least important than her replying a text on her phone. I think she is replying a text to someone more important than a customer...

Courts Singapore Service

I made a purchase of TV, Washing Machines, Sound Bar and Fridge on 16 June 2018. Delivery of all goods should be on the 17 July 2018. However, I received a call on 16 July 2018 that the shipment for the TV is delayed and the delivery of TV need to be postponed to 26 July 2018 instead. What horrified me is that, on the actual day of the delivery (26 July 2018), I received call once again from Courts telling me that the shipment of TV is DELAYED. Such a disappointment.

Courts Singapore Customer service

ORDER (#[protected])

I purchase my product at Wednesday night through Website and call the customer service Thursday night to confirm my delivery is Saturday 5 to 9 pm.

However, on Friday nights 6.30pm. I receive an email from customer service agent, Elleine that my delivery will be postpone to Monday because I did not answer the her call.

How absurd and ridiculous this is !

Just because I did not answer the call, you have the right to change my delivery from Saturday to Monday !

This is stupidity at its best. Your customer did not answer call and you postpone the delivery date dew days later !

This is a formal complaint to Elleine (customer support) !

Call me back at [protected] and fix this !

And I want to speak to the customer service manager for explaination !

Courts Singapore Sofa

On the 10th July 2018, I received a replacement of a new sofa. The previous set has a small cut on the right seating area and the left seating area has ‘sinking effect' and cracking sound.
The new sofa which received on 10th July has some scratches which spotted during delivery. Delivery man has taken some pictures and asked me to inform the salesperson whom I bought with. I have informed and sent her the pictures of the scratches of the sofa. She said she would follow up. Today is 19th July 2018, I have not received any follow up from her. I have sent her a sms for the sofa status last Friday. She said she would update me on Monday. To my much disappointment, nothing has happened nor update me.
Today, I called the courts hotline several times since morning and the call is always busy and cut off my line.
I have made several purchases at Courts. I did not know the customer service is so bad.

Courts Singapore Full package not delivered

I bought a Panasonic TV along with the digital antenna on the 24th June to claim the $100 discount for switching to digital TV. Scheduled to deliver today 14th July, but only the TV is delivered and the deliveryman said he's not the one delivering the anntena. I called the customer service hotline and they said it's out of stock. My tax invoice shows clearly in black and white that my digital anntena is supposed to be delivered with the TV but no further answers was given. I had also called Courts Causeway Point (the outlet I bought from) and it's not reachable. Please get back to me as soon as possible, it's a total breach of promise which I suppose Courts is best at. I'm terribly disappointed by this.

Courts Singapore Delivery timing

The delivery was scheduled to arrive between 11am to 2pm. However, I have received a call at 0907H from the delivery guy stating that they are on their way to my unit.

I told them that this is the wrong delivery timing, however, I can get down asap and reach there within an hour. They agreed and said they will reach there around an hour time as well.

I rushed down and arrived at around 0945H and waited all the way till 1147H. If they are unable to reach there in time, it is damn unprofessional to ask the customer to rush down.

Furthermore, there wasn't a single word of apology when they arrived and the attitude is damn bad. For this kind of customer experience, I will never buy anything from Courts again.

Lastly, they have asked me to sign the delivery paper without filling in the time of arrival. I believe that they will definitely fill in the timing according to their perference.

For the purpose of proof, I will taken a snapshot of the delivery paper that is signed and without and other details filled in. I have also taken a screenshot of my call records.

Well done Courts.

Courts Singapore Delivery service

I bought a mattress and the delivery is to be done between 6-8pm as agreed upon purchase today. The delivery man called me at 4:08pm however due to my busy schedules I could not attend to his calls. According to him, He was at my apartment door at 4:08pm. When I called him at 4:10pm as I saw missed call, his tone of voice was loud while I was attempting to ask him why he sent me earlier than arranged appointment? His answer was blaming me for not answering his calls and that he was at my door at 4pm.
Finally after our conversation and I have waited for 30mins, The delivery arrived at 4:45pm.
Firstly, I don't think I am entitled to answer all the calls 24/7.
Secondly, it must be delivered within appointment timing and not trying to reach a customer much earlier than expected time, everyone is with tight schedule.
Lastly, there is no respect towards a customer.

Courts Singapore Sub-standard salesperson

Ordered a printer on 25th Jun at Courts AMK, the salesperson "Carlos Lennar Mann" told me the last printer is at Megastore Tampines and they will deliver it to Courts AMK by 28th Jun. He then passed me an invoice to pay at counter and didn't say anything else. I went on 29th Jun only to be told delivery not done yet and to go home and wait for their call. I waited till 3rd Jul and went down again despite no phone call as I find such a long waiting time weird.
On arrival I was served by another staff. Carlos was not in sight. The staff helped me checked and told me there's only 1 set left at Megastore and asked if I want it, he can reserve for me ... ? Reserve for me ? That last set was supposedly to be reserved for me on 25th Jun. Anyway I went to Tampines personally to collect as I don't want anymore surprises.
If any Courts management is reading this article, please kindly invest a bit on the training of Carlos Lennar Mann. He is just not good enough to be a sales person.
