County Imports Misleading

You've read some of the complaints against County Imports. I made the same mistake they did even after I read the comments. They will not respond to e-mails or telephone messages. I paid CASH at Bank of America ten days ago and they still haven't shipped my scooter. You'll get all kinds of automated e-mails from them that don't seem to fit your particular order. Big mistake on my part. I can only imagine what the scooter will be like if it ever gets here. STAY AWAY FROM COUNTY IMPORTS AND BUGGY WORLD.

County Imports Scooter(Moped)

I ordered my 150cc moped here and it wasn't work
So i called them and they said i need to call the mechanic and that i have to pay all the fee
I paid $1500 for my scooter andI paid $350 more just to make it run.
I don't know why i'm trying to buy cheaper one from the internet
If i have that money, i can buy nice moped at local
Pre-assembled? That doesn't mean that it will run when it gets here.
I hope you guys to rethink about ordering at internet especially at the countyimports.com. It's so risky.
Yes they send you scooter but it's broken one. You have to also consider repairing fee when you order.
It won't just run magically

Has anyone thought of putting gas in the scooter when they get them they cannot ship a scooter full of gas for obvious safety reasons I bet that's part of some of the not running complaint and maybe spark plugs loose or not installed sometimes the spark plugs wire is pulled for safety reasons too be sure to check both when u unbox the scooter atv if your not mechanically inclined have someone who knows about bikes help you !

County Imports Buyer Beware

Hey Everyone,

Be careful where you decide to spend your hard earned money. I bought a go-kart for my son for Christmas; however, we have had numerous issues with county imports from the beginning. The first problem was they were supposed to deliver the kart on the Thursday before Christmas. It did not get here until a week later, and all the while they strung us along until the last minute. If you have any complaints against them try calling and sooner or later you will realize they have caller id and will screen your calls.

By the way the kart has been stuck on full throttle since we started it. County imports gives shotty advice at best in order to help. Oh, but we can send it do someplace locally and they will reimburse the parts but not labor. Of course they said this over the phone, so whether or not this will happen is completely hypothetical.

With a little bit of work you can find the deal comparable to theirs with less hassle. Avoid the same trouble we have. After all it's your hard earned money.

You are complaining about things I have read on the website and seem to be in the terms of service. I suggest you re-read the website under the shipping terms that say delivery time frames are up to 21 biz days? Also... the throttle you mention sounds like had you had it assebbeled by a dealer it states on the website im sure you wouldnt have any problems. Its very easy for a person to complain about things but when it appears to be the lack of reseach by the customer they seem to blame society or in this case the dealer. Countyimports.com is a good company and compared to the rest has a by far rating. This guy is just bitter becuase it was not absolutely perfect as the website says and appears to be why the prices are so good. Id bet this person is a smoker and thinks hell never get cancer either. Shame.

County Imports Unprofessional Customer Service with assisting a paying customer with help on a Manufactured defective purchased Trike Scooter

Here is a Testimony I posted on the companies website & I have yet to recieve my parts or a reply in result of it. My complaint read...Upon reading all these testimonies, I am convinced that either they are not from real customers or that this Compaany only post the good. Yes I will admit while the service is the best you'll ever get when attemping to purchase from County Imports, it is once they have your hard earned money & you need further assistance with a defect on their product that is the problem. They only allow you to speak with the lower level associates & will deny every request you make to contact someone of a higher authority. For 1month & 4days I have been promised that the defective parts needed to repair my bike would be shipped to me(Variator Clutch & Crank Shaft)after I sent in pictures of the defective parts, which I did immediately. I have even requested that my emails be forwarded to Mr. Frank Drechsler who is believed to be the Company CEO but once again the request were denied. One of the sale managers even use profanity numerous times while on the phone with me. Myself, brother & Brother-inlaw all purchased scooter from this company within a month but never will we make this mistake again! I PRAY THIS COMMENT HELPS THE NEXT LOYAL CUSTOMER FROM GOING THREW A SIMULAR SITUATION WITH COUNTY IMPORTS

I purchased a 110cc razerback. I got a SLA-109 I was told when calling to report the wrong atv delivered I was told to fill out a claims form in their site by a sales person. I did so and called claims spoke to a female was told send pictures to claims. Because their invoice said I was sent the right atv. I sent pictures and never got return phone calls or emails for days. I finally called buggy world where I asked if they had a subsidary company called county imports. The man never said a word and the call went to dead air. I hung up called back asked him to please not hang up and I had more to the question I had asked before. He hung up on me. I called back he asks you gonna now hold on I asked if he would let me finish my question he kept repeating you gonna hold on over and over and was a JERK! Finally of course I said yes so I could get to the right person. Turns out another female then last time answered. She was aware of my issue and turns out she starts speaking to the other female that won't return my calls or my emails they are in the same room. I am told that they have disclosures that protect them from the specs not being what they have on their site. That also they make up the names of the atv cause they can't call them long mixed up letter chinese names. I was told because I put gas in it and had it put together they won't take it back. I did not know this atv was not the one I ordered until it was put together. At that point i can tell this atv didn't look like the picture on site and the weight specs on it is different for the the one they sent me. This one they sent me was so much lower in weight spec then the one on site. Bonnie the lady who last spoke to me did say she could help me out if I wanted to order a bigger atv for my other child (she is a teen). That was bad customer service send them a different product then whats on site that they paid for and then try to resell them on a more expensive atv. NEVER NEVER EVER WILL I BUY FROM COUNTY IMPORTS OR BUGGY WORLD. And if they write something trying to make their customers look bad and wrong and act as if they tried their hardest to fix their problem. THEY DIDN"T and are TRYING TO LOOK GOOD TO RIP OFF MORE PEOPLE. A+ BBB RATING is not right DON"T FALL FOR IT LIKE I DID. No I am stuck with a product that is not right. Like Bonnie said this is what happens when you order off the internet.

County Imports - Bad product and even worse customer service

...BUYER BEWARE...PLEASE DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE AS I... I purchased a scooter for $700.00 and an additional warranty for $200.00. When the scooter came to my home and after unpacking it, the scooter would not start. I called the company and let them know the scooter wasn't starting. There reply was to look on-line for instructions on how to fix the...

County Imports not doing what they promised

In Dec. 2009, we purchased 11 ATV's & motorcycles from County Imports. After 2 weeks we needed to purchase the complete plastic's for one of the ATV's. Justin was our salesperson. We were told by Justin that he could get the plastics or any part that we might need at any time. We contacted him on Dec. 27, 2009 about the plastic. He said he would call us back that afternoon with the price and availablity. As of this date, March 25, 2010, we do not have any parts. He would not contact us back. We have called him almost every day, sometimes tiwce a day and all we get is the run around. We have even purchased the parts from their website that were supposed to fit, but they do not. They like to sell their products, but they WILL NOT help you afterwards. He has even went so far as to block our calls. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY, YOU WILL REGRET IT.

County Imports This company does not stand behind there word!

Purshased a Utility ATV on Jan. 12th 2010.Took two weeks for the ATV to come. When it finally came, I uncrated the unit and began assembly! The engine had terrible rust stains all over it from rain water dripping down from the steel crating cage. Decals had all peeled off from it sitting in a warehouse for no telling how when long. This ATV is a 2007 model BEWARE of them telling you it is a 2009 model, all they do is take the order, call the warehouse that has it and purchases it from them.Goldenvale is were my Roketa ATV-10 came from. With a little work from coating the engine with WD-40 most of the rust stains came off the engine.I have field tested this ATV at Prentice Cooper WMA and everything seems to be fine with this ATV.The rubber straps that hold the tool box lid closed was broke, Bryan tha Mgr. was supposed to send me new ones, I will believe it when I see it!The product is O.K. but the people who sell this product need their butts kicked for telling someone they will do something and not follow through. They are supposed to be a Veteran owned bussiness! Bet none of them went to West Point! West Point Grads are taught not to lie, cheat, or steal or tollerate those who do, for life! If this is the way people in California do business then its know wonder California is in the shape its in.

They lost my business by never returning my calls. I have called at least 5 times to place my first order for a scooter...then realized if they wont even answer a sales call this business is a risk for a consumer. Moreover, I entered my email twice for a supposed "instant 2% off" and I never received a response.. I eventually got some mumble jumble generic email ..."If I received this email it may be becuase my order is on its way or is delayed"?! This same email also recommends that you do not burden with phone calls as they have too many (what an attitude) that they prefer email correspondence. BUYER BE WARE. BUYER WE WARE. County Imports poor customer skills cost them another sale.

www.countyimports.com regret that we were not able to fill Mr. Edwards order but it was not because we do not stock the product, but rather because the busy christmas season tends to deplete our stock and thus we were out of the particular color that Mr. Edwards wanted. Once the warehouse informed sales that the color (red) Mr. Edwards wanted was no longer in stock www.countyimports.com sales staff called to inform him (Mr. Edwards) that color availability was limited to blue only.
When notified we only had the color blue in stock Mr. Edwards decided to cancel his order, order was then cancelled.

www.countyimports.com has a policy of not billing any customer until it is confirmed the order can be filled to the customers specification, if this cannot be done the customer is notified as was Mr. Edwards. Further, our sales staff is always courteous as they try to make our customers purchasing experience a pleasant one from start to finish. www.countyimports.com did not charge Mr. Edwards credit card, or draw funds, receive any type of payments for his order thus causing no financial harm to him.

County Imports Scooter order

I ORDERED A 50CC MAUI SCOOTER AND WINDSHIELD FROM COUNTY IMPORTS IN CALIFORNIA, AND WHEN THE SCOOTER ARRIVED IT WAS NOT WHAT I ORDERED AND WAS ALSO THE WRONG COLOR. I HAVE NEVER RECEIVED THE WINDSHIELD. I ISSUED A COMPLAINT THROUGH PAYPAL, AND COUNTY IMPORTS ADVISED THAT THEY WOULD SHIP THE WINDSHIELD AND ISSUE A $99.99 REFUND FOR THE PROBLEMS INVOLVED. SINCE THEN, I HAVE TRIED NUMEROUS TIMES TO CONTACT COUNTY IMPORTS THROUGH EMAIL, PHONE AND THROUGH THE LIVE CHAT THAT IS OFFERED ON THEIR SITE. LAST NIGHT, I WAS ABLE TO COMMUNICATE TO SOMEONE IN THEIR "CUSTOMER SERVICE" AREA THROUGH LIVE CHAT. HE SAID, "GOSH, I'M UNABLE TO ACCESS YOUR INFORMATION, AND THEN ABRUPTLY ENDED THE COMMUNICATION. I HAVE TURNED THIS OVER TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU, AND I RECOMMEND THAT OTHERS DO THIS WHEN THEY UNRESOVALBLE ISSUES WITH SELLERS. JUST SEARCH FOR THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU IN THE CITY WHERE THE BUSINESS IS LOCATED.

County Imports No call backs, no warranty assistance

I purchase a Roadmaster 250CC Motor Scooter from County Imorts in May 2009. I received the bike two weeks after it was to be delivered, but it did show up.

Once I had the bike in my possession I ran into several issue, one being that it wasn't even a "Roadmaster" but was actually a "Rocketta 250". I learned this when I tried to get the appropriate documents established to get my tag and title.

Further, I received two additional model makes for the same VIN number. On my insurance it is called a BMS Machoman, and on my title it is a Bene 250.

This really concerned me. I finally got through to someone in the papers department because the documentation was not correct, which in turn, put me beyond my 30 days of purchase and I had to pay a fine.

The bike itself was running great. About two weeks after riding, I noticed small coolant leak form below the bike. I was calling and emailing County Imports about warranty issues, but was unable to get any response other than some automated warrantly claim for that required me fill in the parts I needed. Of course, not being a mechanic and not knowing what to do, I kept calling.

About a month after that, the stereo on the bike shorted out at the control panel, which made the on/off function not work. The stereo would turn on and off by itself, and the volume would blare on it's own at any given time.

I again, just wanted to replace the panel, and again, I could not get anyone on the phone, or anything other than an auto response from a warranty claim form.

Still the bike ran well until July when the gasket to the coolant line went and the sensor for the coolant fan failed.

No one wanted to work on the bike. I could not get a single service department to work on it. I found a small shop and they took on the project.

While my bike was there, two more of the exact same model came along with various issues. The amazing coincidence was that all the bikes had a little over 1200 miles on them.

I found a company in California, BMS, that could get me parts, but it took a while.

Since then, the scooter has been in the shop and the mechanic unable to fix the issue. Every time he fixes one thing, something else fails.

Now I have oil pouring out of the block and I can not drive it. It looks nice, but that's about it. The shop that was trying to assist me has said they will never accept any Rocketta product at their shop, and are now not calling me back.

I still can get no answers from County Imports. It is now September and I have no transportation since July.

Keep in mind. I have babied this scooter because I need the transportation desperately. I have changed the oil using only oil specifically for scooters every 500 miles. I only use coolant rated for scooters, and even took the liberty of changing the gearbox oil at 1000 miles.

Yet here I am, out $2000 dollars for the scooter, and well of $500 in repairs. What can I do? I am helpless!

I read a report on the Rocketta scooters and found out they were mass produced in China using cheap parts and materials.

Do not purchase from this company. They are crooks!

County Imports bms tiger 150cc scooter

2-25-09 I ordered a phantom 150cc scooter. 2-27-09 I paid with a bank issued cashiers check, 3-19-09 I recieved the wrong scooter a bms bemine scooter and the wrong color. I called them that night and the next day they didn't have much to say about it or help me out. 3-21-09 I walked down to talk to them wth not much better results. 3-22-09 Itried to put this scooter together since was running out of options and this was supposed to be my only transpertation for my two jobs and thier were parts missing for the wheel. I talked to John at the shop he sad he would order the parts. I called the parts place in Altadena, Ca to check on the parts. They refused to ship them to the shop without pictures of the scooter. Since don't own a camera and the shop placed the order to be delivered thier this was pretty rediculous. 3-28-09 I made arrangements with them to swap out a demo model from the shop. 4-2-09 I had to call them to confirm that they were coming to swap out scooters. The other scooter didn't pass the PDI test. I got 2 stories from them # 1 was the battery or somthing wasn't holding a charge.` 4-4-09 I wen't back to the shop to swap out for a differen't model all of a sudden it had passed the PDI test and it was a muffler problem. They would run it through the PDI test again on Monday 4-6-09 because their truck wouldn't start so they couldn't transport it at that time. 4-6-09 I called them because they were not on time for the swap out again.John picked me ip and the bemine scooter. They were finishing up the PDI test when I got their. After it passed the PDI test THEY SWAPPED OUT THE BATTERY. The scooter would then die out after 2 miles every time wth the remote start. I recharged it on the charger all night. 4-7-09 Scooter wouldn't start, dead battery. I called them they said to put it on a trckle charger. I drove it to work and after a 4hour shift the scooter would NOT START even after I charged it at work on the small charger from 12:30 - 5:30pm. I was stuck at work and everybody else had left for the day. I left it locked up and charged it all night on the small charger. It would still NOT START in the morning 7:45am. 4-15-09 Charged it all night at work on the trickle charge. 4-16-09 scooter started but died before warm-up was completed. Aco-worker went to the shop with me with a rough draft for the BBB and Matthew arranged for them to pick the scooter up from my job to have it fixed. John was VERY RUDE and LAUGHED when I asked if they would replace the battery now. Bonnie said she would check the battery for me and fix whatever was wrong with it.(Matthew wasn't working their 2 days later ) . After 2 weeks Bonnie had still not call me back about the battery. 4-28-09 My co-workers husband went to the shop. Allof a sudden the scooter was ready and they had put TOO BIG OF A BATTERY IN. I went to the shop and they had to pull 3 ATVs out of the way to get to my scooter. It was still dying every 2 miles on the remote the start. 5-7-09 Went back to the shop. Bonnie will now order a new starter Problems with the relay on the remote starter. 5-28-09 Bonnie said new starter still not in. 6-4-09 new starter FINALLY in. 6-8-09 Bonnie replaced new starter I brought my trunk down for her to install along with starter. Trunk was missing apart she didn't have correct part at the shop. She wold order the missing part and hold the trunk for me till the part came in ( I was having to carry the parts in 100 degree weather 6 blocks back and forth ). 6-23-09 New starter was cutting out between 1-1/2 miles. Bonne scheduled appt. to go over ALL ELECTRICAL SYSTEM and trunk part should be in. Appt. set for 7-13-09 they stillhad my trunk. 7-10-09 Went down to shop OUT OF BUISNESS sign on door. I called JOHN at the shop # asked him if I could get my trunk back HE LAUGHED AND SAID NO! Then hung up on me. JOHN is a NON CARING INDIVIDUAL WHO TAKES ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE! I still have a scooter I can't ride anywhere. IF ANYONE IS FILING A LAW SUIT PLEASE INCLUDE ME! Chris at [protected]@yahoo.com !

Sounds typical of California dealers, I got a Tank scooter from Rabbit Scooters (.com) in 2007. They were the worst. I had a lemon and they knew and would do NOTHING to rectify the situation. When I started talking warranty and lawyers things changed dramatically.
If you have a warranty they have to fix everything as if it were like it were brand spanking perfectly new, and until they do they are in breach of contract. If you are in walking distance of them bring large men with and make ALOT of noise.

County Imports complaint

I bought a Moped from this company. It has a defective automatic choke. I can not start this vehicle. I have attempted numerous times to contact the company. I have sent email and I have left messages. I can not get a live person. No one has ever called me back. In the meanwhile, I have a two thousand dollar paperweight in my driveway. Before buying anything from this company, I suggest that you try the following test, attempt to contact them. Try calling any of their numbers to see if you can get a live person. Leave a message pretending to be a customer with a complaint and see if anyone calls you back. Try sending a fax, see if their fax machine picks up.

County Imports Undelivered Merchandise

We ordered an ATV from website: www.countyimports.com in May of 2009. On May 25th we received a phone call from from John Nelson, the head Salesperson at County Motorsports saying that they were out of the ATV we had wanted and offered us a better ATV for the same price we orignally had paid for, plus an additional $200 for shipping since we live out in Hawaii. Although their website claims free shipping for merchandise over $150. We agreed to pay the extra pricing. On June 2, 2009 we received an email with the Invoice and the payment collect $1074.99. Our credit card was charged that amount. John Nelson called us back to say that the ATV is on order and that we should receive it 2 weeks. It is now July 16, 2009 and we have no ATV. We have left numerous messages through email and phone calls to the company and NO ONE has returned any of our calls. Infact the "voice mail" boxes are FULL. Has anyone else had this problem? Luckily we paid with our credit card.

Seem like Mrs Silver has alot of time on her hands. Did she metion that the delviery terms on the site at that time were up to 25 biz days. This order actually was delivered on time under HER TERMS OF AGREEMENT which I am sure she failed to mention. Anyhow, this lady is the most unsenstive and annoying person I had ever delt with. This store was ROBBED people on 7/12/2009. Your people need to look at the other side, AFTER BEING ROBBED COMPLETELY, and nothing left, these people still sent this ungreat her stuff. This means they could have wrapped it all up into insurance and let them deal with it but NOPE., They paid out of thier own pocket to ensure this mean old lady gets her stuff ON TIME. As its shown. People on here only come here to complain but if they are resolved, they never come back to make it right. So who is the selfish one here Kerry? Is it the people who delviered your product to you or the person making lame complaints and forgettnig to remove them. Real classy person you are.

Oh great! My son now tells us of the Cheetah Scooter he paid $919.00 for and there is no scooter delivered. Messages have all went unanswered, but at first promised it was the "busy season time" and that could delay the shipment 15 days or so. They took his money and ran I guess.
I am so angry at people in business that do this. At the least it has been a learning experience for my son.
So they really are out of business and no hope for any refund? Could care less about the scooter-he wants the cash back.
Thank you for info about contacting police. If anyone knows anymore please share.

Terrik, they went out of business the beginning of july. If you are still having problems contact Clovis Police Department Officer Hershberger and maybe call Joan at the Fresno DA.

That is why you never buy the Chinese scooters, the dealers are so sketchy. Also once something breaks... where do you get parts? No where...

County Imports out of business

The Clovis Police Department drove by this address for me and said that the place is empty and that there is a sign on the door stating they are out of business due to poor economy. They took our money on June 30, 2009 and we have never received anything from them, including the 3 quads we ordered or an email or phone call from them! They new they were going out of business yet they still took our money! There website is still up and running but not sure if you can actually order from them. Please please do not put anything for this company on your CC.
Jesse Gonzales is a crook, he had to know he was closing his doors yet still takes money with out the possibility of shipping our quads to us! He had to know!

call Clovis Police Department and speak with officer Hershberger (spelling may be wrong) Request to file a theft report and also call Fresno DA and you will be directed to Joan. I spoke to her yesterday regarding this.
Carrie, Jesse's wife, promised the officer that they would be sending me a tracking # today, July 16, 2009, for the 3 quads we ordered and guess what, NADA! I will be calling the officer again tomorrow!
And filing a theft report and anything else I can and have to do.

Don't ever, ever, ever, ever, EVER deal with these people from county Imports. Speaking about a BIG ### RIPPPPOFFF company, this is it. I bought a 49cc madd dog scooter from Thomas @ 2488 Hamner Ave

Norco CA 92860. My son has received the bike but the next day it didn't want to start. Prior before purchasing it county imports was having issues with it for three days because it didn't want to start. Now my son has it and it don't start and this bike was his ride to School. i paid $1700.00 for it. The guy thomas goes on vacation and doesn't want to deal with this issue. The whole staff makes me sick. County Imports only takes your money, provides no customer service and has attitude. County Imports has the worst customr service i have experienced. I rather pay more for knockoffs then purchase througn county imports. Hawaii

Why don't you call your copy buddy and have him look up the police report where it legally states we were robbed. Hmm, , you think that has anything to do with the shipping delay. When did you order? when did the bikes REALLY get delviered and how long was the delviery time allowed. If my records are right, you received your units ON TIME.

This is incorrect. This person is completely being dishonest and this claim should be removed. I know for a fact you received your ATV's. Did the police tell you the store location was robbed? I was an employee in that store and sadyl, no intentionally, everyone in that store location lost their jobs. Shame on you for being so insensitive. If you check the police reports you will find the store was robbed on 7/12/2009 and stil to this day the owners had not recovered anything. I loved working for that company. I also know they are still in business online and were bought out by a company out of San Diego. Anyone looking to buy from this company. They are great people. They have always gone the extra mile for me and my family and as an emplyee I know they care for the customers. I also know that many of the online customers are very dishonest people and have a hard time sticknig to the warranty. Aside from colors and complaints, the person who says he worked for the store, he was fired becuase he has a drug problem. He fails to mention the car they gave him. Sadly, there are more bad people thn good in this world.

OMG! That explains why they haven't returned my calls or emails regarding the $5000.00 Spider I ordered and paid for 3 months ago. They said it was held up in customs and was due to be released the first of June, then the story was it would for sure be released the 1st of July or my money would be returned (which was probably when they knew they were going out of business). I've called repeatedly, tried emailing them several times, all to no avail. This is a crime and I intend to pursue it to the full extent of the law. TW

County Imports Really Bad service!

The web site looks terrific - but - read VERY carefully. The only ones that answer the phone (or emails) is the sales department. There is no such thing as "customer service' in my experience with them. The prices are truly very good but that's where it ends. The 50cc scooter I bought required 2 sessions, so far, in a local service center (not county motorsports since they off NO service. Phone calls are an exercise in futility as are emails. Don't bother with sending a "trouble ticket report" as they ignore them too. I've tried everything I know including asking for a refund on a windshield that was advertised as "Universal" fits all scooters. Again to no avail. - absolutely NO RESPONSE. Check out their report on the Better Business Bureau. I should have before ordering. All-in-all it's been a horrible experience

I wish I would have read this before sending them any money. We have had ZERO response since they cashed our cashiers check 6/30/09 (sent cashiers check to get a discount) and all voicemail boxes and email boxes are full. No one is answering anything. I called the freight company they have listed on their website, and they have not received any shipments from County Motorsports in a long time. I am wondering if we will ever see our 3 quads that we ordered or our money returned. I wish I would have read the BBB report too! An F! Seriously! I have contacted Clovis Police Department and have contacted a lawyer to resolve this issue. I have also read many problems with getting the papers for anything they send! Everything has to come down to a threat before there is a response if you are lucky enough to get one at all!

jazzy jeff, you either work for county motorsports or you have never dealt with them! Because it sure sounds like you have never dealt with this company or its owner Jesse Gonzalez or his wife for that matter! If you sell something you need to stand behind it and provide good customer service. This joker (Jesse) could have had and kept a good thing going if he was not such a dumb ###. He is young and obviously irresponsible. I have had to deal with them, unfortunately, I had not read up on him and his activities, or lack there of, before sending him money for 3 quads that I still have NEVER received. Oh, did I mention they have a sign on their door that says they are out of business as of the beginning of July. And the creep cashed the cashiers check he induced us into sending on June 29th. Tell me he had good honest intentions! You can't because he didn't!

The only issue I have is the many scooter and moped online shops/local shops getting the blame for units coming from roketa, jet moto and others. If the scooters are defective, you would assume that roketa, jet moto and whoever else MAKES the units would have to deal with defects and issues with their units.

I would put more blame on the manufactures versus the small businesses that are selling these online or locally. If the scooters and mopeds were up to par then odds are these scooter businesses like county motor sports would not be getting all of the blame.

I think people confuse where the blame should be placed with defective units.

County Imports No response to shipping damage

I bought a Roketa 250cc scooter from County Motorsports in early September 2008. When it was delivered (late) there was some damage which I was told would be covered by the extra shipping insurance I purchased. This turns out to be a complete lie. County Motorsports will not cover cosmetic damage to the scooter caused by shipping, and more extensive damage must be covered by the manufacturer. The manufacturer will not replace parts that were damaged in shipping either, and I was referred to the shipping company. I was only told about this 6 weeks after the delivery of the scooter and filing a claim with County Motorsports. This is the exact opposite of the description of what the shipping insurance covered that was described to me when I purchased the scooter.

Don't buy from these people. Learn from my mistake.

County Imports Didn't return calls after I purchased

At the end of May 2008, I ordered online a Roketa 250cc Touring Scooter from County Motorsports LLC, 727 Clovis Avenue, Clovis, CA 93612. I placed the order at www.countyimports.com.

Due to limited supply, I had to provide two colour choices. When I saw the scooter was ready to ship, I emailed them to see if they could tell me which colour I got so that I could order a matching helmet. They never responded. No big deal.

When I checked back and saw the scooter had shipped, I wanted to know what preparations I should make since I was having this delivered to my office location and would ride it home. I assumed it would need gas but would it need oil or any other fluids before I could ride it? I could not find the answer on the website so I emailed them. No response. I called and got a reception that transferred me to voice mail. No response. I called again a different day and just had to leave a message. No response. I emailed the technical department. No response. By that time, the scooter had arrived and I had to "wing it" as the owner's manual was the worse I've ever tried to follow.

I also was looking for my title since it was supposed to go out right after I submitted my request--which was the day after the scooter arrived. A couple of weeks went by and I didn't get it. I emailed to see if they had even got the request and got no response to that. It finally showed up in time for me to sign it up to the new buyer.

I hope the new buyer has better luck than I did. Maybe they are more self-sufficient and won't have any questions because they won't get ANY customer service if they have my experience.

October 15 2022.

Moped arrived at my address. Took out of box put it together as video on YouTube explains. Rode it a couple days put maybe 100 miles on it. Moped just stops running. My mechanic takes it apart the carb. float was not working. Spent 100 dollars part and labor. Moped still doesn't run.

all seem to sell the same items, the websites are all generally the same layout, i saw a motocycle, the jinlun 250cc sportbike for sale on scooterdepot.com, was gonna purchase it a week later, but didn't see it on the web page anymore, went on the live computer support to ask about it and the knew nothing about it, and now i see the same sportbike on these other sites like countymotorsorts, and saferwarehouse.com. It all just seems like shaam. glad i lookfor complaints before i handed over my credit card number. There is no end in sight for this guy and his wife. He just keeps reopening his business in new names. I do not understand how these guys arent in jail by now!
