Bank of America fraudulent company

I just realized today that I have not received a bill from Countrywide in the past two months. I immediately called to see if I just lost my mind or what. They insisted that they had sent the bills to the proper address. I immediately made a double payment by phone and was charged a late payment for February. I argued that we have made all our payments on time since 2017.

I told them that I rely on receiving the bill as I not only do my personal bills, I do my fiance's personal bills and I am a bookkeeper for his company, and I have my own business. I process a lot of checks each month. They told me that the paper bill that we receive every month is just a courtesy and that they don't have to send the bill by mail, that I could go online and see everything there. My God, what if I didn't have a computer or I didn't know how to use one? I just hope now, that they haven't messed with our credit by making a report to the credit bureau. If I find out that they did that I will go to every length possible to ruin them. I believe this is how they are making money, if they pull this every once in awhile to a couple thousand people then they can get away with it. They have a very cocky attitude about it too, as if it was all my fault that I never received the bill. I am responsible for paying six mortgages every month, if I don't get the paper I'm screwed.

Countrywide is raising millions by charging fees for refinancing your home and they have no intention of closing the deal. During the appraisal, they will so under value your property you will be in a reverse mortgage situation. Most will seek other mortgage companies or bank, however you will be out hundreds of dollars. Fees for running your credit, paperwork, and the appraisal fee. DON'T WAIST YOUR TIME. Go to another bank to refinance. Countrywide rates and fee will always be higher. And there customer service is terrible. The agents do not return your calls nor do they inform you on possible lower rates. Due to the financial troubles on Wall Street, they have no intention on giving you a good deal. They are only in this to make money off of you. They do not have your best interest in mind.

First, I want to say that I was in the Title Insurance Industry for 35 years and know my way around the block-but dealing with Countrywide-BOA is like dealing with ###s from outer space. It Seems that whoever can figure out what is the 'least they can do' to hang on to their jobs-are the ones who are still employed. I bought my home in 2017 when I was employed. More than 20% down, excellent credit, fixed rate loan. Unfortunately, I became 100% disabled in 06. It took 18 months to get on Social Security (18 months with zero income) and another year to get medical insurance. Somehow from savings and selling off things I was able to keep up, while trying to sell the house. Last year I finally hit a brick wall and entered into a Forebearance Agreement with the bank. The second payment was returned, as some idiot sent me an envelope with the wrong address on it. Everytime I called I got some new nitwit and had to go into the entire deal again. Finally, I had to resort to a short sale. Lucky for me, I found someone who really DOES understand how to go about it. The bank has been nothing buy uncooperative. First offer was rejected (after 6 weeks) they still don't come up with a price, but pay some out of work realtor $75.00 to do an 'appraisal' (never going in, of course). Next offer is in. Price is only off by a few thousand-they are sitting on this offer like a whale in a lifeboat. Calls go unreturned-answers are stupider and stupider as time goes on. If they just let the house go-they are done with it. The shortage is only in the $40, 000 range. (Small potatoes by current standards). I guess the brilliant BOA powers that be would rather pay taxes, hoa, insurance, etc than unload the 'inventory' as they are supposed to do. Do they want to end up with all these houses ? Who is in charge there? Did they go to the Romper Room school of business? Why are they allowed to get away with this? If the taxpayers are sending billions to this bank-why are they not being told what to do as are the car companies. It is my understanding that Countrywide/BOA is the worst of the worst when it comes to this. Class Actions-Anywhere out there?

Countrywide had my credit card info on a Master Card that was to be paid off. They used that information to bill me $300.00 for an upfront processing fee without my knowledge or consent. I had given the credit card information to Tony Kwong for a payoff. When I called that office in Roseville,California Mr. Shores said he would have it credited unless I wanted to go forward with the loan,in which case they would credit it on the loan itself. So, here I am paying interest for a couple of weeks on $300.00 that should have never been charged on my Master card in the first place. My paperwork did reflect the $300.0 discount as Mr Shores stated that they would do. That was only after I told him I was reporting fraud on the part of Countrywide. Then when the notary arrived with my paperwork there was a pre payment penalty attached to the loan, one that lasts for 5 years.I was never told about this pre payment penalty even though I was in contact with 3 different people at Countrywide in Roseville.J.D.Powers and Associates may rate Countrywide aS #1 in Customer Satisfaction but I personally don't see how. I have dealt with numerous Mortgage companies and banks when seeking a real estate loan and Countrywide has been the only one to be deceitful and to try and get away with an act of fraud.

I made a payment via Countrywide's website to pay my April home equity line in full. After a few days, I realized Countrywide had not posted my payment, and they had blocked online access to my account, with a message that it requires 'special attention'. After calling the number provided on their website, they said they hadn't posted my payment because my account was in the modification process. I told them I was not interested in any modification, and wanted my payment posted. Just for the record, in the 8 years I've been making my mortgage payment, I have NEVER been late, and I have excellent credit.

The representatives are giving me the runaround, saying they will fix my account and post the payment, and for me to call back the next day.

It has now been about 3 weeks since I made the payment, and I have called repeatedly to resolve the problem, and as of today, my payment has still not been posted, and they have given me a late fee! I filed a complaint today with the Office of Thrift Supervision and the OCC. I will also be mailing a letters of my complaint to every Countrywide mailing address I can find.

We fell behind due to debit card fraud on our checking account which resulted in a returned check. We had never been late on our mortgage in 5 years before this occurred, then within 30 days of this event I lost my job. Needless to say, we fell further behind and after 90 days our home was in foreclosure. Our account was impacted by enormous fees causing the original arrears to be double. We worked out a repayment plan with Countrywide that cost us an additional $500 a month but truly believed we were going to turn this situation around since I had gainful employment and we had a plan we could live with, we were not happy about the total expense this had cost us but we were going to fix what was wrong. After six months of paying as agreed... to our surprise the July payment was refused by Countrywide, ironically they never contacted us, we found out when Western Union sent us a letter about three weeks later. When I contacted CW they claimed our payment was $5 short, I had sent them $1700 every month prior to this and that was the agreement, but they claimed it to be $1705 and refused to take anything unless we did another repayment plan that ended up costing us more fees and resulted an additional $100 month for another 12 months. They are crooks! Yet another payment refusal came our way and of course the fees followed and we had come up with another plan, this time they offered loan modification and that sounded like the way to go if it would bring us current and we start repairing our credit to hopefully refinance and get the heck away from CW. Well they took our $5000 good faith payment to modify our loan and applied to a bunch of erroneous fees and we are still in arrears and facing foreclosure again. Why doesn't someone do something to these people once and for all, there are so many stories just like ours and it WRONG! People work hard for their money and want a home for their families, we should never gone through this in the first place and now we are at risk of loosing out home and our $65,000 in equity. There should be recourse for the public when large corporations take advantage of people like this, why do I pay taxes to a government that turns their head to such blunted crooks like this. I want a class action lawsuit filed and I want everyone to get what they have coming to them including Countrywide Home Loans.

THIS HOW PEOPLE LOOSE THEIR HOMES INVAID AGREEMENT
Country Wide Finance Department repeating phone calls (3 or 4 daily)
Dear Lawyer:
We have requested that Country Wide Finance Company do not call us daily (3 or 4 time). The open statement “This is a call from a debt collector and we are informing you that we need to collect a debt.” We made payment arrangement with this company to skip one payment.
We receive a called on the2 day of November, 2017 with the customer service operator stating that we owe for two months of payment.
This has been a daily process of calls from Country Wide. Sometimes we receive 3 or 4 calls a day.
The contract that we agreed to pay Country Wide back on a five month plan has been violated by Country Wide Mortgage Company and we would like to take legal action against them(start day December 2017).
We agreed to be put a 5 month payment plan and they also state that this would not effective our credit but it has affected our credit.
(Payment plan 1500 per month for the next 5 months)

Countrywide had very bad communication with us. They were given all of our deadlines for our home purchase, yet they continually missed our deadlines even when we called to remind them. Important papers were never mailed or emailed to us, like employees at Countrywide said they would be. We were actually told something was in the mail... we never received it! They took forever to get the appointment for the appraiser, which hurt us in the long run.

They gave us a "pre-qualification" for an FHA loan. That sat on their desk for three weeks before we decided to continue. When they actually tried to qualify us on that loan, we were told that we didn't qualify. Countrywide should have been educated about the qualifications of the loan when we first went in. So, we went with another loan. On the day before closing they had an appraisal done on our house. At noon they called to tell us that everything was going great, the appraisal come back with good numbers and we would be able to make the noon closing time for the next day. An hour later, Countrywide called back saying there were problems with our appraisal and we wouldn't be able to close the next day. We were told that we would now need to put more money down because the appraiser deemed our neighborhood a "soft market". Ultimately, Countrywide's lack of qualification, communication, quick response and truthfulness led us to seek another lender. Hopefully this deal isn't ruined for us!

After my 2 year ARM loan adjusted from 6.8 percent to 9.9 percent, and getting hit with taxes and fees. My payment went from 2075.00 per month to over 3400.00 per month. Countrywide denied me a refinance. Debt ratio was too high I guess. Now my credit score lacks also. All because I have not made a payment to them in two months. We have been going back and forth over this damn loan modification deal. They have news stories. They have internet stories. The big ole president of countrywide himself has promised all us bums a pre approved loan adjustment. They state they want to help us get back on our feet. They want to avoid foreclosures. Well, I have done all they have asked me to do. They even have the latest pay stubs. They also don't have voicemail now. So when you need to talk to someone, you are placed on hold forever. Then, they get you some stupid ### that doesn't have a clue as to what modifications are. And that a loan negotiator will call us back. It takes a week sometimes. And, if you miss the call, cause lets say your at work, well, your ### out of luck. After two months of the paper trail, and phone calls, they tell us we ARE DENIED A LOAN MODIFICATION! We cant afford it. NO ###! Who can afford their house payment to double. All they have to do is lower the rate back to what it was, and we can afford our home. But now. They want foreclosure. I hear this is happening to alot of you out there. Its time to sue! They are rude, and they are full of empty promises. Countrywide is a fraud. They are not doing one loan modification. Its only to make them look good to investors. That is why they promise these loan mods. If you get one, let me know. See ya in foreclosure!

This is about sexual harassment going on in our department. There is this employee who was in jail and was bailed by this female employee. Now everybody knows about their sexual relationship. This is very uncomfortable working around this 2 people and everyone had complained about it but nothing was done. How are we employees be able to work. And since everyone knows, why are these 2 people still working in the same department, this environment is very unhealthy for the rest of us. This 2 people work in the same area. The sad thing is the male is married with children while the female knows but did not care. What kind of work environment is this.

Bank of America increased finance charges

Received letter stating the Bank of America was doubling my interest rate. Never been late on a payment. Always paid at least double what they required as a minimum payment. Have complained to them several times since I received letter...one explanation was I had not paid my balance down to at least half of what I owed, although that was never told to me. Another explanation was my debt to income ration, however, I have never missed a payment and always doubled what they asked for. Said they could not review or reconsider my request for a lower interest rate for 6 months.

I hope we are charging them extremely high interest on the bailout money our government has given them!

Will never use Bank of America Visa card again EVER!

I am charged 125% more finance charge than the previous month, even though my payment was scheduled on time and got credited before the due date. No clue, what is going on with them, I never use this BoA credit card anymore.

My interest rates on all my cards have shot up. I always pay in full every month, so it doesn't matter too much for me, but from what I see, they don't even need an excuse... they do whatever they want, whenever they want, as often as they want.

They won't be paying us interest on those billions we gave them. They probably won't even pay it back at all.

I receive change of acccount notification; my finance charge were going increase to 26.99%, i needed to respond by a May 30, to reject the increase. If I did not accept the changes I my account would be closed and I would pay the account off at the current amount. I recently received an increase in my finance charge of 27%. I have spoke to approximately 3o individual trying to get this corrected. The most recent individual informed me that I had not been late on this account account so the reviewed my account and that is why there was an increase. I explained the account I had closed the account over a year and a half prior, so why were they revisiting my account? She said the account was never closed. I sent the letter certified mail for proof. I did not trust them from previous tactics. She(Michelle) informs me that she has to re-review my account to help me. I explained, I did not want her to run my credit, she stated as long as I had there credit card she had that right. I explained that I did not have their credit card I closed the account and I had not used that card since '07, when I declined the increase. I ask her why is she taking me through all of this and when I am sure there are multiple notes on the account regarding this. She stated she understands I have spoken to numerous people but she is the one to resolve my issue. She said she will close the account per customers request. She would have the account finance charge dropped to 10%. I received a letter today, Stating could not assist me due to serious delinquency, high unpaid revolving debt to high. (not true). The account was closed because I have sufficient debt considering my income as per my discussion with the credit analyst. All of this is fabrication.

Bank of America misleading consumers

In october 2008 my husband and I contacted countrywide to obtain help with our home mortgage loan as I had lost my job and recently had a baby and we were finding it very difficult to make our mortgage payment. We were told by the extremely rude representative that as our account was current there was nothing they could do to help and to call in next month when we had a payment due. We called back in november and a representative took all our financial info and told us that we are spending over our income therefore there was nothing they could do and we had to cut our expenditure in order for countrywide to help us. My husband and I payed off some of our credit debt, sold our car etc to obtain help. We called back in december and january 2009 to get help, again rude representative told us there was nothing that can be done as we are current and there is no payment due on the account. I called back late february as finances were becoming tight and we used the very little savings we had to make mortgage payments. Again we were told by an extremely rude representative to call back when we had a payment due on the account.
I called back on march 3rd and was told by a supervisor that all the previous representatives that we had spoken with had been misleading us and there is nothing they can do until the new bill passed by obama is in effect and yet even after the bill goes into effect there may be nothing they can do to help us.
We have been sacrificing our health. We do not have health insurance, we do not have enough money to buy food or diapers for our baby and we don't have a car to travel with. We listened to countrywide and they did nothing but mislead us to poverty and now we have nothing!

My husband & I have a very very similar story. My husband (the sole income earner) lost his job last year, I had a baby just the previous year & we also were struggling w/payments. I called CW several consecutive months prior to my husband losing his job to see if they could "help" us in anyway and was told they could do nothing because we were current on our loan and they only had programs if we were in default. Each month was the same story. When our mortgage went inevitable delinquent I called back to see if NOW they could help us and their story changed again! I was also told to wait for the new bills & programs and applied and tried to apply for several and never qualify for some reason or another. We were told we could do a short sale, put it on the market, but was told it really wasnt in short sale status until we received an offer therefore it could go to foreclosure at anytime. Guess what...now they put it in foreclosure. After us trying to do the right thing and consult w/CW from the beginning, we have been driven to the conclusion that we could of just lived in the house for the past year, not paying the mortgage, saving the $$ & catching ourselves up. Instead we listened to CW and got screwed. Shame on CW and everyone who is employed with them and participates in misleading and straight out lies to customers.

Bank of America loan modification

I have tried several times to get refinanced out of this ARM that I currently have through Countrywide Home Loans. Due to circumstances out of my control, I had to let most bills go to pay my monthly payment at 10.375% interest. I sent the needed documents in January 09 to see if I qualified for a loan modification. I finally received a proposal on February 19 that they would lower my rate to 10.375%...the same as I am paying (or cannot pay) now. The paperwork states that this is the rate at the origination of the loan. That was incorrect (the original rate was 8.310%). I called immediately and after being transferred and told to call other numbers, I found someone that agreed there was incorrect info on the document. They were going to email supervisor re this. I called again on 2/21 and was told that they could see in notes that the paperwork should reflect 8.310% interest and they were going to email supervisor. I called again on 2/25 and was told that on 2/24 the notes state that I do not qualify for loan modification, but that person could see discrepancies in the notes on my acct and forwarded me to someone else who then stated that he would have his "team leader" call me. Just before the end of the business day on 2/25 (I had not heard from "team leader"), I called back. I was told by new person that notes state I do not qualify for loan modification. I told her that I already had qualified and received paperwork that states so, but that it was incorrect on interest rate. She transferred me to someone else and after being on hold for quite some time, they are investigating. I need help...since it doesn't seem like they are being honest or maybe they do not know what they are doing. Can they do this?

Contact your local HUD-with the new Obama Plan 31% of your gross income is what they are suppose to get your house payment down to. I received my modification interest is 5.25% but the payment is stil 50% of my income because the are adding the property tax and homeowners onto the amount-it's suppose to be figure into the 30% not in addition to the 31% CONTACT HUD OR BETTER YET FILE BAKNRUPTCY.

Countrywide how can you do this to pepole who try to do whats right and take it away.If only you would have dropped our int.rate from 10.12% to something we could afford you would get your house payments on time and maybe we could repair our lifes. This is not right and countrywide knows it.This house isn't worth anything to you, it won't make you any money only make the neighborhood with nice young people trying to make it.It would be a shame for someone to buy and let run down to rent.It does need a lot of work we have put off because of all of this.I want to keep our house. Please please help.

We got behind on our payments with countrywide went for a loan modification waited and called many times .We were told the couldn't talk with us because we were in modification and we would receive something FED.While we were waiting 3 mo. we got futher behind .When we received the modificatins, modification meaning less our payments went up $300.00. If we could afford the payment of $800.00 before how can we afford more.I didnot sign, so countrywide said they would do another modification in the mean time we got forecloser papers . More calls with idiots who don;t know what their doing but did stop forecloser for the time, we started this in Jan.2008 first modification received inAug2008 went into second modification right away in Sept.2008, received second FED in Jan.2009, samething.Payments went up again, I called and was told if we did not sign this time that forecloser would take up where it left off, that would mean we 'd have to be out of our of our home in 60 days, she even laughed and said this payment with all the nessessarys is more then you make a mo.But if you don;t sign this time we will go on with forecloser. I signed the payment was due April 1st can;t make the payment. What can we do we have lived in this house for 25yrs.Trouble started 7 yrs ago we went for custody of our grandchildren then 5, 9@16.Legal fees cost thousands so we had to refinance twice fast for money to pay atty, fees.credit went to hell. Then i had chemo for colon cancer and thousands, now the kids are at least safe, still have two at home 12@16, and now with everything ealse they had to go through were about to lose their home we are in our 60's and no place to turn.If anyone has come kind of answer to help we would be so greatful. Countrywide is notorious for fraudulent transactions and giving misleading information over the phone...I lost my home to foreclosure after over 25 phone calls and them telling me they were putting a loan modification offer in the mail, but instead they sent final foreclosure papers...find a HUD counseling office in your area RIGHT AWAY and talk to them OR go to this website:

Bank of America Treating CUstomers Horribly

I CALLED TO ASK FOR A BETTER RATE THAN THE EXTORTIONIST RATE OF 25% AND RATHER THAN PROVIDE ME ONE THEY REDUCED MY CREDIT LIMIT IN HALF EVEN THOUGH I HAVE A THIS ACCOUNT FOR 19 YEARS AND HAVE BEEN MAKING PAYMENTS EVERY MONTH ON TIME.

THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS SYSTEM AND I AM CLOSE TO PAYING IT OFF AND WILL NEVER NEVER NEVER USE IT AGAIN.

BY REDUCING MY LIMIT MY CREDIT SCORE IS THUS LOWERED WHICH IS TURNS GIVES YOU THE "RIGHT" TO CHARGE ME A HIGHER RATE! NICE WAY TO TREAT LONG TERM CUSTOMERS. IN ANY OTHER INDUSTRY YOU WOULD BE OUT OF BUSINESS.

I AM FILING COMPLAINTS ALL OVER, INCLUDING NOTIFYING THE PRESS, BECAUSE THIS IS HOW YOU CAN JUSTIFY CHARGING SO MUCH!

EVER SINCE FIA TOOK OVER FOR BOA CREDIT YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE!

I HAD TOLD HER THAT I'M NEVER LATE ALWAYS PAYING MY CARD ON TIME AND MOST OF THE TIME AHEAD OF THE DUE DATE AND SHE SAID THAT IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THAT OVER AND OVER AGAIN, SHE WAS VERY RUDE AND NO REMORSE SHE EVEN ASK ME HOW MUCH I HAVE SAVE UP OR IF I HAVE ANY STOCKS, CD MONEY PUT AWAY AND I ASK HER IF SHE REALLY HAS TO KNOW ALL THAT AND SHE RUDELY ANSWERED NO! BUT IF YOU HAVE ANY MORE INCOME THIS IS THE TIME TO TELL HER NOW. I CAN'T BELIEVE A PERSON LIKE THAT EXIST THIS EARTH MY GOSH! SHE EVEN MADE A COMMENT THAT IT SEEMS TO ME THAT YOU ARE NOT HAVING A FINANCIAL DIFFICULTY!...AND I ASK HER WHAT SHE DID WAS LEGA AND SHE SAID IT IS (VERY PROUDLY)AND I ALSO ASK HER WHY IS SHE DOING THAT, AND HER REPLY WAS BECAUSE I CAN... AND THAT SHE IS A PERSON THAT MAKES THAT DECISION. FOR HER TO MAKE THAT COMMENT ABOUT MY FINANCIAL SITUATION SHE DOESN'T HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT I'M GOING THROUGH SHE MADE MY LIFE SITUATION HARDER. IF I KNEW I WAS GOING TO INCOUNTER SUCH PERSON I WOULDN'T EVEN TRY TO ASK FOR INCREASE SO JUST MADE A BALANCE TRANSFER. ALL I KNOW IS THAT THERE ARE PEOPLE OUT THERE THAT DON'T CARE ABOUT HELPING ANOTHER HUMAN BEING IF EVEN THEY HOLD THAT CHANCE TO HELP. ITS JUST VERY SAD TO ME I JUST STARTED CRYING. I REALLY FEEL YOUR PAIN I HAVE BEEN WITH THIS COMPANY MANY YEARS.

Bank of America thieves

I am a single mother, self employed (in Real Estate), credit score well over 800, and pay for my son's college (couldn't get grants, etc... made too much money!). I don't have enough "credit" open to get a higher score... give me a break. I pay off my credit card monthly, that hurts my score!
Recently I applied for an equity line on my home, that I have over $400k in equity... NO other debt! I was turned down, because I AM IN REAL ESTATE. I planned to use this money, only if necessary... to have that cushion. I asked for only $200k of the $400k I have!

I pay for my health insurance ($400/month), owe two vehicles, a rental property, never had late payments... yet the thieves at the banks (the cornerstone of our crisis) have denied me this credit. I am appauled. It would be easy for me to just NOT pay my bills and be irresponsible, but that is not the American way and I won't. WE must do something about this lock up at the banks for which WE are saving. I am loosing much faith in our system... PLEASE HELP!
BANK OF AMERICA... GIVE US OUR MONEY BACK!

With kind regards,
Cindy

Recently, I made purchases on my BOA account. On Saturday, after the "end" of the business day, I found I was in the red by $22.00.

Because I had cash, I deposited in my account and had a positive balance. Then I was given another check of $373 and put that in the account. Until today, all the charges were pending. So almost $500 in my account, and then I find that most of the oldest transactions are either pending, or they've been given an earlier date to justify the $35 fee taken out of my account.

I'm not a rich man, but at the same time, if I owe money, I pay it. But every time I turn around, the system is backdated or the charges posted out of order to make sure I have to pay. When I asked about this, I was told to make sure I pay attention to how much I spend. When I said that I'm poor so every penny is always looked at, they got upset. I'm paying more in bogus bank fees and charges than what I have because even when I put money in, they still keep charges pending until more money comes in the account. More than once, I've seen a transaction post 3 days earlier or a deposit post for the next day, even if it's been on time. What should I do?

Leave that bank, you have that right! They royally did us wrong because I did not get a letter from them to confirm some agrrements! Read Debt Cures or look at the Hinsley Law Firm site info on them. They are thieves! You don't deserve to be treated that way and neither did we and they have wrecked our credit because I want to stand my ground against their wrongdoing but we basically get hurt out of it. Bank of America is fast becoming known for their thieving and even fraudulent activities, Identity theft (of a slightly modified type) being one of them.

They have had some financial struggles which explains why they have done and continue to do what they do to people. They also employ a lawfirm that follows suit with named Goldman and Warshaw, who sue people for bogus debts, do not serve the people when they sue and pay off County Clerks (or as in one case in Ithaca, NY) traded sexual favors to file a large (and bogus) judgment.

All typical of an obviously terrorist run banking institution.

Bank of America Fraudulant Advice

My husband works with a young guy who is buying a home through Countrywide Mortgage. Because he does not qualify for the loan (reason #1 why this country is in this bad mortgage situation), they advised him to lower his debt (which he will still owe) by getting his car refinanced in someone elses name. This sounds fraudulant to me. The rules and formulas are in place for a reason. If you have to pull a scam to qualify for the loan you obviously cannot afford it. I wish that I knew who to report this to as I feel they are stealing my money to help companies like Countrywide stay in business, but Countrywide has no intention of changing their policies that got them into trouble in the first place.

Bank of America Unfair practices

My credit score is over 700. I make card payments online either on or before the due date. However, even at 8AM my payments to FIA aren't 'accepted' until 24 hours later. Something about " not being enough time for them to process the payment" . ?!?!?! It's not a problem for any other card service. So twice they marked my payments as being late - which they weren't - and then used that as an excuse to raise my interest rate to a usurious one.
I have since closed the account and will tell everyone I know NOT to use them.

How about not waiting until the last minute to make your payment? It's due BY a certain date, and if you pay say, three or four days early, what's the harm? Can you make your mortgage payment online within 24 hours? Car loan?

Bank of America fraudulent charges

Bank of America unethical business practices has hit the lowest of the lows. Compare them to any subprime lending institution, they would be rate #1.

Bank of America deliberately, fraudulently changes due date of credit card...then they CHARGES customers a $39 dollars late fee. I was informed by Bank of America after complaining that they can change due date and that the dates can vary from 1-4 days, whatever, whenever they chooses. Bank of America states to me that I should have ' Read the very fine PRINT'.

Bank of America, you are the worst. You are the reason that banks are going under today.

In 2008, Bank of America opened a credit card account linked to the debtor's checking account without permission of the debtor or knowledge of the debtor. For over a year Bank of America racked up bank fees without notifying the debtor of the existence of the credit card account. Bank of America posted all sorts of bank fees (late fees, maintenance fees, etc.) to this credit card account for over a year without ever notifying the debtor by mail or phone that the credit card account existed. The debtor received all types of other mailings from Bank of America but never anything regarding a credit card. Debtor was completely unaware of the credit card account, never got a credit card, never activated or used a credit card and the only charges on the account were generated by Bank of America. Account went to Collection in 2009 and debtor received a letter out of the blue that his credit card account with Bank of America was delinquent over $400.00. Debtor had to pay to settle and his credit score is now seriously negatively impacted. Bank of America made it impossible to deal with it via phone and the local branch was useless also. Debtor has since closed his accounts with Bank of America. He was clearly unfairly and deceptively used by Bank of America for its own financial gain. This is larceny and Bank of America should be held accountable as would any other thief robbing people of their money.

I agree 100% that Bank of America is corrupt. I wonder if some kind of class action suit would work? They constantly charge fees whenever they can. They just recently changed their policy to where the charge overdraft fees even if the online banking shows a positive balance. They delay posting credits to the account to create more overdraft fees, and they deduct the highest debits first then the lowest creating the most overdrafts possible. I really can't believe how corrupt they are. I've been charged thousands of dollars over the last 6 years. I should have closed my account years ago, but everytime it happens, I just can't believe that they would do it again. And recently, the changed their policy to where your account doesn't even have to be in the "red" for them to charge overdraft fees. They have their own behind the scenes system that works to their advantage and I'm certain they make millions a year on fools like me. I have to close my account now but it's such a pain because of all the direct deposits and automated stuff I've got going on with them including merchant accounts etc. I wish Bank of American would have to pay for their greed, not get bailed out by the governments.

Bank of America False Advertisement By the REO Department

I am a realtor in Florida, I placed and offer for a Countrywide REO through bidselect of which eventually we entered into a contract for purchase... They advertised the home as available for conventional financing and even make the buyer be prequalified through them as far a offering a free appraisal and credit report if you use them.. In my case my client was already pre-qualified through them. The house was advertised AS-IS..My client is a first time buyer and is coming in with 20% down. The house is in pretty good condition although it's missing the appliances as most foreclosed properties, the electric meter was stolen and they did have flp re install it. My client did a self inspection as he new he would be buying the house as-is and since he was getting a good deal is willing to do the necessary repairs himself . So here he is "the buyer" using Countrywide, their title company because that is also forced upon you, they do pay for owner title insurance but you don't have a choice in the matter, so if you want an attorney you have to pay one in addition and they are still going to hit you with closing fees and make you pay seller fees if you don't use them. The problem comes to the loan is approved and about 6 days prior to closing they come up with an appraisal ordered through landsafe, which is the company they use that states a bunch of problems with the property. Looked like a home inspection with dollar figures of cost, but not done by an inspector.. He states that there is an ilegal room added to the house and a bathroom. Well now Countrywide the Lender says we can't give you a loan unless this is taken down and Countrywide the Seller says we cant do anything we are selling as-is.. The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing... They advertised the property good for financing yet their own Countrywide Lender wont give a loan on it. The worst part about is the inacuracy of the appraisal itself... The plans for this house does not exist anymore but there were plans filed in the county for remodeling that shows that room as an existing room, and it get's better the square footage on the county records is only off by 70 ft from the appraisers including that roomand according to the appraiser that room is 216 sq ft... So the owners have been paying taxes on this room who knows how many years and because an appraiser suggested this is what they needed to do, and is assuming this an illegal addition, this is what underwriting is telling us. I asked for a second appraisal and they are fixated on this one and said no. So they said the room needs to be removed but the buyer cant do it and the seller "Countrywide itself" says we are selling as-is and wont do anything of which nothing should be done in the first place because the appraisal is totally in-accurate. Meanwhile the buyer has spent all his time, energy, attorney fees, and is out of a lease thinking he would be moving in as he was totally approved. My question is how can Countrywide advertise a home for sale offering financing and then they are basically telling us that we are SOL>>>No one wants to take responsibility and it' s a home that would be purchased, upgraded and made prettier which in return would help the neighborhood value..Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,
Nancy

Bank of America unfair charges

Wow! Bank of America is a complete rip off. They manage to make millions of dollars off of its members by charging a $6.00 fee for cashing a check to a non-member. This is absolutely crazy! I told this to my bank, Peoples United Bank and they were SHOCKED! They said that was amazing. I travel a lot. This year to India. I took my Bank of America debit card because my bank strip off of my People's debit card failed to read the strip the day before I was to leave. I shifted money to my Bank of America account, which I never use and when I returned from my trip I had tons of 3% international fees added to my checking and debit card account. I was amazed. I have NEVER, EVER been charged fees for using my credit card before. This bank currently is facing a law suit and by the looks of it, will find themselves facing other charges. I think a revolution where everyone closes every account in their names. What other hidden ways are they cheating us? Speak out and let the cheaters be made known. I have canceled all of my accounts. I went on line and realized there are many angry people. Beware of this bank.

Bank of America using bad credit to give loans

We tried for a regular home loan in 2007 and was turned down to having low credit scores and a bankruptcy as well. Then we were contacted by Challenge Financial a broker for Countrywide and was told they could get us a VA loan no problem. We filed the paper work and were turned down the first time cause we didn't have enough income. Then they called back and was told if we could use my husbands overtime and my income combined it would be ok. My husbands boss at the time even signed a form stating that they could use it. We later found out they even used my husbands previous employement as income as well. Anyway, Challenge Financial called the realtor and they Supposedly sent out a VA inspector and the inspector was supposed to go by the VA's rules and regulations. It needed some repairs including having a new roof replaced and the basement possibly having drains put in it cause there was standing water at the time of inspection. The repairs to the roof was done, and the old out building was tore down and was to be hauled away, that is what was stated in the receipt from the contracors, however they shoved it over out hill for us to later haul away, and the basement was never fixed. The roof leaked right after we moved in and destroyed our ceiling tile as well. We were also told that we didn't need an inspection of our own cause the VA was very tidy on their inspection and would find faults to be fixed. Well in the mean time, my husband lost hours and overtime. Then eventually his job and I lost mine the same year. We are both working now, however our income is alot less then before, we have contacted CW on this and all they want to do is raise the payment. We've even asked to extend the loan to 50 years instead of 30 and they won't do it. We've contacted WV attorney general and they only helped people with balloon payments, not people like us. No lawyers will help either for they say it's a waste of time. Since this has all happened, we found out that our plumbing isn't hooked up to our septic tank, it runs down over the hill and when it backs up, it goes into our basement floor. We also found asbestos tape on our furnace vents and was told that is totally normal and at the time of inspection, noone was trained for that type of thing. We have no record of any inspector other then a form stating what needed done and I believe that was done by the appraiser only, not a VA inspector like we were told in the beginning. The realtor has since left and can't be found to explain why we weren't told of these things as well. The house was in the same family for years since 1938 and never changed hands till we bought it in 2007. We have even contacted the VA and no help there was told to sell despite with all these repairs and having to have the asbestos removed first the home might sell for 20000 and the loan was for 160000. There doesn't seem to be anyone out there to help with any of this at this time and we are going to foreclosure I'm sure. I thought they were supposed to do all remodifications for homeowners who were behind no matter what, but we were told recently we didn't make enough money despite, we had 300 dollars left after everything is paid. They also use a credit card as a payment despite we don't have credit cards and an old phone bill despite we don't pay it either. They figure it in on our monthly bills. I'm not sure how this is fair to us or to anyone. I just wish I could find help and save my home from these people. They won't get what they want out of it and noone will buy it with the repairs it needs.

Loan was refinanced from aurora loan mortgage in one name and became financed in another persons name... (my spouse who had a credit score a few points higher than the original owner /buyer of the original note, the higher score person was awarded the deed, leaving the original owner as a co-buyer now to do anything concerning the property, the new owner// has to approve and sign everything, why am I limited... later it wasrefinanced again to centex mortgage... now nationstar mortgage the original owner no longer holds much intrest in the property because of countrywides shift from original owner to person with the highest credit score? the original owner still has limited say so as to the rights of the property. after refinance papers were done first original owner has to return to full spectrum lending to sign other papers abot a week later and had to redate the papers for acceptance for refinancing and then became co-borrower. is this deceptive. angry... lost ownership to property... and so call owner has vacated the property leaving all payment to be paid by original owner... what a mess country has left original owner in... oh oh oh...

Bank of America overcharged

Get this. I called BOA and requested a decrease in by interest rates that have crept up from 7.99 up to 14.99% on a large line of credit.

I was then told that I could not get this because my payments have been late twice in 6 months. Not True... Some time during the summer of 08 I received a statement that had 2 late payments listed. I had in fact paid the bill 12 days early...They counted this as a payment in the previous month..They removed the charges, but the late payment remained on what they call an in house report...

I have 2 accounts that i make payments from listed on BOA. For those of you who are not aware. BOA had a security breach of their computers sometime in Oct 08.. I had (immediately after my payment cleared) changed one of my Bank accounts a new bnk acct.

I received another notice of 2 more $49. late fees, Not one charge, They always charge me twice. The problem as I see it, they deleted my bank accounts from the account in order to 'protect my information'. Then proceeded to charge me late fees, and..get this... a NSF fee because when they reset my account back to the previous old accounts a month after the old bnk account was closed. The new account had to be re-entered...in order for them to correct the error. The late notations and the NSF is still listed on their in house report..therefore I cannot get a decreased interest rate.

And to top this I have copies of all computer generated payment to them with confirmation numbers and dates to show timely payments.

They told me that they didn't make enough money off my acct to decrease my interest rate.

Bank of America interest rate robbery

Bank of America raised the interest rate on my credit card from 9.9% to 22% without notice. I checked to verify that I had not paid them late and found that I have always paid more than the minimal due every month and have never been late. I contact them and had the unfortunate luck of being put in touch with one of the most rude people that I have dealt with in a long time. She told me that the raised the interest rate for no particular reason and there is nothing that I can do about it. I asked if there was someone else I could talk with or another department and was informed that no one in the company could do any more than she, but she took my name and number and told me someone would contact me the next day. Still waiting.
Very disgusting company and very rude customer service...Can't wait to transfer my business from Bank of America.
I guess that my tax dollars are not enough and that they decided to send me a bail-out payment each month.

Bank of America is engaging in severely unfair practices. We have had a credit credit with BOA for more than ten years. Our credit score is in the 780s. We have never missed or been late on a payment, or exceeded our credit allowance. Nonetheless, BOA sent us a letter telling us they were increasing our interest rate 8%. What possible justification could this company, which has already taken enough from the taxpayers, have for engaging in such usurious activity? I plan to report them to my representatives and the better business bureau, and I encourage like-treated customers to do the same. If we do not begin to make our voices heard, these things will never change and unscrupulous creditors will continue to take advantage of us. SIGNED, A VERY CONCERNED CITIZEN.

Bank of America mortgage servicing faud

If you want to keep your home, if you want to put a stop to the criminal activities by this compay, then it's time to DECLARE WAR ON COUNTRYWIDE HOME LOANS NOW! Contact your congresspeople, the President, every homeowner's advocate you can. the FTC and the FBI, HUD, and, if possible, an attorney, and write them again and again. If we act en masse, we can bring down these creeps and put them where they belong - IN PRISON!

I apologize for the length of this, but I think you will find it good reading, but don't just read it. TAKE ACTION! The home you save may be your own!

You must understand that YOU are NOT their customer, the lending companies and investors are their customers. Part of what they do (which comes from mortgagetrap.org) to steal people's homes and much of which is happening to me now is this:

"The below and other situations are not errors, mistakes or situations where a servicer's managers or employees failed to do their jobs. Their systems are well-designed and state-of-the-art in terms of analytical technology that helps them choose and process their victims. These scams generate enormous profits from a business that is difficult to run, people and litigation intensive and normally only marginally profitable. Many have failed and been acquired (Fairbanks bought several).

What you Must Understand...

You, the borrower are not their customer. Lending companies and investors are their customers. Most of the borrowers that fall victim to these abuses are classified as "subprime" borrowers (borrowers that either because of credit or income cannot qualify for a conventional loan). The vast majority of "subprime" borrowers are not well off enough to fight when abuses do take place.

The path toward losing your home to this scam is actually quite simple. The first phase is designed to fabricate the default and typically beings with one or a combination of ways to arm the servicer's records with false data:

When the servicer decides to manipulate the date the payment was received in order to artificially create a late payment.

When the servicer doesn't post payments made or improperly applies them

When the servicer applies part of the payment to something other than principal and interest and creates a partial late payment or deficiency

When the services decides to "force place" an insurance policy on the property by claiming the homeowner has not provided proof of insurance.

When the servicer pays your property taxes late, the adds their late penalty to your account without your knowledge.

Any or all of these processes result in at least one month of the account being past due and a negative note is made in the credit report (which effectively prevents the borrower from refinancing). "

***Below is my story, which went to my congresspeople as well as the FTC, my state attorney general, and a number of advocacy groups and executives at BOA and CW:

I pray that you will withdraw any and all bailout money from Countrywide Home Loans and allow them to die, as they continue their abusive behavior toward borrowers. They are not using the bailout funds for the purpose intended, in fact they are attempting to steal people's homes rather than keep people in their homes. Below is my story.

Thank you for hearing me out.
Please help.

SECOND LETTER

I sincerely hope you can understand my anger, fear, frustration, and
confusion at the situation I face as detailed below. I apologize for
the length of this. Please read the bottom as well. Thank you.

I received a voicemail from Countrywide this morning asking for a
return call. I am very leery of doing this without a third party
involved to make sure we are ALL on the same page, and for good reason.
Whatever is going on with the accounting at Countrywide makes zero
sense to me. First of all, just a month ago, the system showed me well
ahead on my payments, and papers to put me in a lower interest fixed
rate loan were on their way soI was told by a CSR. But this week, I get
a notice of intent to accelerate letter from CW telling me my loan is
in serious default and that I owe now for December, January and now
February. So what you are telling me is I have missed THREE
payments? Or more? That is absolutely NOT true. Furthermore, your
letter of intent to accelerate mentioned "other fees" I may owe but
said NOTHING about what those fees were nor how much. So how exactly am
I to tell where I stand with CW? What do I owe, why do I owe it and
when? I have no idea what to believe or that whatever is told to me
is correct or not.

I never ever received any letter stating I was behind, no calls or
anything else indicating there was any problem with my account. In
fact, I had a good relationship with the Countrywide CSRs and found
them cordial and at least appearing to be helpful.

I would like to again have a good relationship with Countrywide, as I
did for a couple years...but I cannot be blindsided by this sort of
thing. I need to know.

I did hear from Lori with the MO Attorny General's Office, and thank
her for her help. Hopefully this can be straightened out. I know I
cannot do it alone.

As I said before. I am sure there are many very fine people who work at
Countrywide who care about their jobs. But there appears too to be some
who either don't know what their doing or don't care, regardless of the
people whose lives are unneccesarily ruined by their unwillingness to
do their jobs.

I am not trying to be a jerk here, I'm really not. I just love my home
and wish to keep it, and it makes no sense to lose it just because
someone isn't doing their job right or intentionally manipulating the
system.

I'd like to get this straightened out as soon as possible. Thank you
for your help.

FIRST LETTER

Below is a link to a piece of news you might find
interesting:

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/28645505/

Countrywide admits to LYING!

To Countrywide,

Just a month ago, according to your system, I had no payment due to you
until March of 2009 (as a result of a loan modification and advance
payments made by me), and you were supposedly in the process of moving
me into a low interest fixed rate loan. So imagine my surprise when I
got a letter from you tonight of an intent on your part to ACCELERATE
my loan, DOUBLING MY PAYMENT AND charging me late fees! How can you
charge late fees on payments not even due? Could someone there
explain to me exactly what the heck is going on? You don't even have
a representative available after 5:15 PM Central Time!

Further, your website says you have not received a payment from me
since 10/31/08. That is completely untrue! In spite of the fact that
you showed me three months ahead on my payments, I still made payments
faithfully, only skipping last month after your CSR told me my payments
were not being applied to my balance, but put in a holding account
while the loan workout was going on. He explained I might as well wait
since the package - which never came - was to be sent out shortly.

So would someone please explain to me exactly what your intention is
regarding my loan? Do you want to foreclose so you can sell my
house and keep my equity, is that what this is all about? Since this
isn't the first time you've done this sort of thing - such as holding
payments late so you could charge a late fee, for example - what
exactly is your endgame here? Well I will tell you what mine is. This
is my home. I love my home, and have done absolutely nothing to deserve
losing it just because someone at your company, whether they be
completely incompetant or unbelievably evil or not giving a rat's
behind about their job or the people it affects, cannot or will not do
their jobs right. I have every intention of keeping my home - and I
WILL KEEP MY HOME - NO MATTER WHAT IT TAKES! If that means my cold,
dead body being removed from it, then so be it.

I will give you credit on one thing - your CSRs have always been
cordial, helpful and friendly to me; it's too bad they cannot do
anything about what goes on over their heads. But whoever is
responsible for such shenanigins as this, which I read is common to
Countrywide DESERVES TO BE FIRED! ALL OF THEM!

Countrywide Sucks! As soon as I can re-fi with
some one else I will. I have a fixed 30yr with CW.
They were always sending me letters saying I was
pre-qualified for re-financing and they had great
deals. I wanted to lower my payment. I called and
was put throuh to a Brian Holland in Arizona. He
checked my credit as we talked, he told me my
credit at all three bureaus was around 820. I
told him I'm disabled, had low income, but that I
did earn undocumented income pet sitting, and
selling some of my art. He sounded so positive
and encouraging. He insisted I pay $410. up
front for an appraisal fee. Reluctantly I agreed.
During the appraisal I learned that Land Safe,
the Appraisal Co. Is a Subsidiary of, guess who?
Countrywide. Inspite of the fact that I own 70%
of my home, pay my taxes and insurance, and
never been late on a payment and had a really
high credit score I was turned down to refinance
by the Bank holding my loan because I didn't earn
enough. But hey! They had a good look at my
property, at my expense, and they put my money
in their pocket through Land Safe. Brian Holland
said he would try to get my money back, but I
have yet to see it and it's two months.

Bank of America credit card rates

I am experiencing problems with credit card debt and tried to talk with BOA. Customer rep would not let me speak with manager to discuss issues with interest rates. I am a good customer for several years with no late payments. I was told if I didn't like it and stopped paying then I would be turned over for collection and my credit affected. No discussion, no alternatives, and these people take money from taxpayers to stay afloat. By the way Rachael Peters is the customer rep who says she is authorized to to inform you that you either pay or lose. Pitiful organization.
thanks

Bank of America interest rates

I have good credit and pay my bills on time, every time. - Bank of America informed me that due to "risk review" (yeah, right) they will be DOUBLING the interest rate on my credit card. Of course I can "opt-out" but if I use the card, all current and future charges will be subject to the new, DOUBLED interest rate. AMEX, Citi, and all the other credit card issues are doing these same things to their customers.
How can these banks get away with this? How does the Government expect the economy to recover if the all-important consumers keep getting shafted by the banks. Many of us will never be able to completely pay off these cards. These banks by the way are keeping the bailout funds provided by the gov't and they are spending billions at the same time to acquire other banks. Something is clearly wrong here.

I would like to add something to my about comments. Please call all of your elected officials and give them your feelings at http://www.usa.gov/Agencies/Federal/Legislative.shtml. Banks are borrowing money at record low prices and we are paying record high interest rates.

I agree, I have basically the same problem with B.O.A. more than doubling my interest rates. We paid to help them in the bailout and now we are being forced to pay them in interest rates. I would pay them off but with the economy the way it is my business has less money and the higher rates are even making it harder. I believe this now policy, in the long term will destroy them but we will have to pay in the mean time.

Bank of America false nsf' charges

I want to make this short and quick. Bank of america has a scam going called check 21 rule. It's a scam that creates "false overdrafts" you can keep your accounts in the black all you want and it won't mean a thing. They create the overdrafts for you.

It is bank fraud pure and sweet!

I'm going to file suit against them asap. If you wish to join this civil suit email me here with your contact info and you will be listed on the suit as a plaintiff against bank of america. I will make sure that you are contacted by the attorney before the suit is filed. The more people that have the guts to slap them down the faster they will fall.

They are not a bank, they are racketeers!

I was with B of A for about 5 years and hated every day i went in to the bank. I was also confronted with NSF fees that i had to fight tooth and nail for. when i tryed closing my account they intentional did not close it. I asked for it to be closed due to the IRS problems that i had. The girls that was helping me close the account stated that it was closed and i did not need to due any thing else. a month later i recieved a new ATM and a statement stating i owed them 200 dollars for a IRS set up fee. I told them what they can do with 200$$. They did send me to checks systems however. You would think after all the NSF fees that they charge people with, why in the hell would they need to be bailed out. They get what they deserve.
