Country Club Hospitality & Holidays misrepresentation of facts during selling

Sub: Cancellation of membership No. MILPB-1651 (Country Club Bangalore)

Issues:

At the time of booking your representative has assured us to allot a plot based on which I had even introduced two of my friends, later after receiving the payment of Rs 60000.0 from us through receipt no. 9279 your good self have denied for the same.

I have also received a demand note for Rs 3671.0 vide 236826 dated 16th Oct 09, which was also not clarified during the sales talk.

Please remit Rs 60000.0 deposited and terminate the membership with immediate effect.

Country Club Hospitality & Holidays complaint against country vacations

Dear Sir/Madam,

I got a call from Mr. Ukarsh. He told that there has been a lucky draw which has happened and I am one of the lucky people who will be receiving a dinner set, a week accommodation.
To receive the gift, I and wife had to visit their office. So, I and wife went to visit their office for receiving the gift. When we visited that place they told me that they will give a small presentation so we agreed to it. At the presentation they told us about lots of offers for holiday resorts. There were several plans.
First they told they are giving 30 yrs holidays India or Aboard 7 days accommodation yearly, for 1, 85000/-. We refused due to high cost then they have given us option that they can give 5 yrs holidays India or Aboard 7 days.
In addition to above option they also agreed to give us 2 N/3 D Holiday gift voucher.
Then before confirming the acceptance I have asked few questions like:
Q.1. Are there any extra conditions?
Answer: No
Q.2. Apart from this 35000/- do we need to pay anything for next five years to avail the holidays?
Answer: Yes every year if you are availing the 7 days holiday package then administrative changes 4000/-
Q.3. If we wanted to rent the holidays then any charges?
Answer: No Not at all even you don’t have to pay 4000/- administrative charges also.
Q.4. If I don’t avail 7 days holiday this year then what will happen?
Answer: Holidays will be carried forward to next year.
For example: If you are not taking the holidays for say next four years then for fifth year you will have total 35 holidays including that years holidays
Q.5. Can I get all these answers on agreement?
Answer: Yes we have to go with agreement with mentioned offer and clauses.
Q.6. Are there any other clauses/ charges mentioned into agreement apart from what you have told?
Answer: Apart from what ever charges or clauses I have told nothing new/ extra is there in agreement.
Then I have asked to give us the paper on which all the information/offer is mentioned by Mr. Sharad as proof for me; they told no to that first but then they agreed to give that.
Then finally we agreed to go with offer and paid the amount of 35000/-
Then they asked us to come for agreement after a week.

A week after when I started to go through the agreement paper. I found out that there are several things which were not told and not legal as far as consumer rights are concerned.
Then while discussing with Mr. Utkarsh and Mr. Aaditya we come to know that Country vacations has cheated with us and cheating with lots of Indian people.
Following are the clauses for which we felt cheated by them.
1. When renting the holidays we have to pay 11000/- to "four seasons" company as with this company they have tie up for renting the holidays.
This is totally new and surprising to me as before accepting the offer I had asked many a times that is there any extra chage while renting the holidays or so. They told no for that.
2. Even if I am renting the holidays I have to pay the yearly administrative charges of 4000/- to country vacations.
This is also totally new and surprising to me as when asked before accepting the offer Mr. Sharad told we don’t have to pay Administrative charges when we are renting the holiday even no other charges also.
3. We can carry forward holidays only for next year and if not taken that year then they will be lapsed.
Means if I don’t take holiday for 4 years then for fifth year I will be having only 14 holidays including that years holiday and remaining 21 holidays will be lapsed.
4. If we don’t inform country vacations for that years holiday plan as we will be taking them or renting before Nov 1st week, the holidays will be lapsed.
5. Apart from administrative charges there are also maintenance charges per day 100-500 depends upon the hotel.
This is also not informed to us before.
6. They have very less restaurants than they have mentions while giving the presentation.
7. When we asked about list of restaurants they told there are three categories
i) Own properties: All the benefits they have mentioned are only applicable for these properties
ii) Alliance properties: For those properties we will have to pay extra charges names as maintenance charges.
iii) Tie up properties: For which no benefits will be provided that is mentioned in to agreement only we can get up to 20% discount.
They have conspired against innocent people like meby offering free gifts and calling them to office to mind wash and sell their illegal product.

I told I will not be signing the agreement and I wanted to cancel my membership to Mr. Utkarsh and Mr.Aaditya. They told ok for that and asked me to give written letter for that on 6th Sept 2009. I have given the same with a Xerox copy keeping with me.
After that I have visited several time to the country vacations office/ called many a times but whenever I try to contact them either they are saying we have forwarded the letter to head office we have not received the response / they are just refusing to talk.
I am having sleepless nights and stressful days since the day I visited this company. As a citizen of this country, I would like to bring this wrong act into the notice of all Indians.

Country Club Hospitality & Holidays apt. wasn't clean and had all kinds of bugs.

When I first moved in I was told apt. hadn't been lived in for two yrs. but it had actually been 6 plus yrs. I had yellow Jackets flying all over my apt. bc/there was a hive in my walls (I am deathly allergic to them)but it still took them a month to take care of the problem. I had a terrible spider problem in which during a night in the second week I was bitten on the neck by a poisionous spider and was so sick and it got
infected and turned into infentigo. I also had roaches gross, gross, gross. When I moved in nothing worked, not the AC, not the toilets the master sink or the tub or shower. It hadn't been cleaned even though when I had called the day before I was assured it had been, it was so nasty. They had caulked over mildew in the shower and painted over it to and I had to bleach everything down after the caulk and paint was removed to kill all the mold. I am told that the roaches are Oreintal or what they call wood roaches and that they are coming in bc/there is moisture somewhere and they need to find it but do you think they will, I was told no! They said that the apt. has been certified by the state for rental but I donot believe them and I am going to call them and rheem them out if they approved the rental of this apt. By law this apt had to be painted between rentals they tell me it was but they are lying. And maintenance got stains all over what I was told was new carpet and then they tell me it had been cleaned before I moved in My question is why would you have new carpet cleaned and if it was why does it have all these stains. The ceilings had not been finished painting they started but didn't finish and they left drip marks all over it and it looks horrible. They laid peel and stick tile in the kitchen but left quarter inch spaces btwn them so you can see the sub flooring also gross. The balcony was filthy and had green algae growing all over it but they finally got around to cleaning and tiling it and it looks much better. The cabinets in the Kitchen are so small you canot get anything in them so I had to buy a stand up cabinet to house my food items and dinner plates. I had to leave my apt. for six days (mon-sat) and they did hardly anything at all. I was promised all this work would be done by the end of this week but that will not happen. In six days they replaced a small area of wall where they took out the bees nest, regrouted a floor which is already craking up and fixed a corner of a window ledge which the maintenance man said took him ten minutes. They had a list of almost fifty items to fix and that is all they accomplished in six days. I am thinking of moving seriously do I want to continue to put up with this s*** for the next however long it takes them to fix these items. I don't think so would you. The manager doesn't seem to relay what she is told by her boss correctly so I hear three differnt thing from three different people. She doesn't seem to get what I tell her, one of the other tenants said she was dingy I don't know if it is that or she just doesn't care. She said to me "I don't understand why you have roaches and spiders when nobody else has said a thing about having any bugs" I talked to three differnt people some in this bldg. and some in the other and they all have roaches and spiders, so I wonder why is she lying to me and taking up for this property when she talks like she hates her boss so badly. He took over this property soon after I moved in and I have found out that he has only owned section 8 housing in the past and I think he is treating this property like that and he will be a slum lord, even his staff says so. He wants 855.00 in rent for these places the only thing they have going for them is space, since they are old built in 1978 so it is larger than anything around but it is not worth what I have had to go through and it has no amenities not even a pool. I am just over it and I wish I could move. BY the way when they kicked me out of my apt. for six days they put me in a corporated apt. that smelt like smoke and had a dirty kitchen and had mildew all in the shower and the worse was the shower head it was caked with mildew and the manager said she had had it cleaned, who in the hell is cleaning and what are they getting paid. I would like to get paid to do nothing . So anyway I had to go find a Friend to stay with until I could get back in my apartment. If your thinking of moving in here don't you will be sorry and hate it as much as I do. I wouldn't put this on my worst enemy.

I had been seeing all the complaints about country club on the internet. but I thought, this will not happen to me, when I met the very courteous salesmen. their sophisticated looks does not give any hint of the organized fraud they are running in india. after years of waiting, and anxiously seeing new and new complaints about country club in the google, I am so disappointed to be in this big club of people who are just complaining.
Sooo many complaints. almost every member is complaining. still no action?
I fell into the tumkur land trap. I thought I got a good deal here, of getting a land in such a good location. every time, I call these executives and ask about the land, they kept postponing me for the next month. it went on for more than a year. and now as soon as I call them, they would cut the phone. nobody picks up the phone. beware of these guys.. ms. neelganga shetty. she talks so polite, while taking money. and makes all promises. they gave me the land allotment letter and assured me that the land is all mine. and using it as a bait, they were asking me to introduce more members to them. all I have now, after 2 years is just the letter. and now she would not even pick up my phone. I am feeling so sick.
Considering so many people being cheated, somebody, please rise and help us get back my hard earned rs. 2 lakhs. it was my hard earned money.

Country Club Hospitality & Holidays membership cheating

I was called by Country Club-Noida office to have a presentation and that they will offer a free stay in one of there resorts dt. 16-Aug-09. During presentation, one of the executive, named Pankaj has convinced me to take a membership for 30Yrs for Rs2.25L with following adjuncts: 37" Sony Bravia LCD, 3/4-days free stay along with to/fro tickets in any of CC's resorts india/abroad, 2-Generation of holidaying in any of there resort. The executive asked me to pay rs 1L now and rest 1.25L as 36 PDC's so that company can deliver LCD at my doorstep within a month, i.e. by 15-sept and said that after taking prior approvals from management for LCD, i will swipe your card. Since then we are waiting the agreement should be ownered but nothing being done to respect our deal. I get hold a DGM level person, Mr. Ravi of country club india who dt. 11-sept has given in writing that the LCD will be delivered at my home by 30-sept but till date i am trying to call them but they are not picking my call. I had never seen such irresponsible and immatured service from a service provider. Noida Centre head, Mr. Girijesh has even threaten my husband and said that in any case, i will not give any TV and that will not even return your money. THIS COMPANY IS FULL OF BULL-### MEMBERSHIP PROGRAMS; ONCE YOU PAY MONEY THEY WILL NOT BOTHER ABOUT YOU. #[protected]

Country Club Hospitality & Holidays frudster, cheaters

Despite of innumerous complaints, poorest reviews & media coverage, these chaeaters are still reeling free across the country and preying more & more victims. I wonder why authorities are not taking any action to put the company owners behind the bars and stop this ongoing fraud.
My story is also not different from others, lost nearly 1.70 lacs with nothing in my hand. I suggest we form an action forum, chalk out a plan and take an aggressive, collective action, just not to get back our money but to move government to take action against the culprits, stop their sinful endaevours.

Country Club Hospitality & Holidays cheater, how can I get my money back

I still remember the day when I was trapped in the promises made by this company. I became a member last year 12 september 2008. They promised so many things.

You will get free life time membership of country club.
You will get vacations and club cards with in 90 days.
You will get magazine and other offers each month.
You will be called for each and every event organized by country club in the city.
5 clubs are coming up in Pune.

I have never seen such a big cheater. They have a marketing statergy of lucky draw. They call each and everbody who fill that coupon. They never call you back once you have made the payment.

I have very bad experience. In pune they have 2 offices. Some name of the cheaters,

I have followed up for each and everythinf so many times. But I didnot get any +ve output.

I have not got any card.
No magazine,
No offers.
No club came up in pune.

I personalyy visited the office so many times. They don't even bother to attend properly. They are just busy in meking other people fool.
This is really a big issue. Please look into this.

I really want my hard earned money back. Please help me.

The burning desire to lower ones handicap can be a handicap by itself. I too found myself purchasing the KiS golf clubs and vacation package from the results of high pressure sales tactics, and not any possibility of canceling the contract. Two credit card companies were more than happy to finance the bill and attach a high interest rate. The sale was all about lowering my 14 handicap. The first round I used the new KiS clubs, I shot a 109, and have tried to work the program consistantly for almost a year. I've not shot under 100 this year. I have change my golf swing to the advise of the KiS pro's, and to no good results. Even after going back to my TaylorMade R7's, I had to go to another golf pro to get my golf swing back. "Lower Handicap?" Not mine, and I was garranteed in writting or a full refund of my investment. I have not yet returned to a 14 handicap and have not seen one cent from KiS Golf. Biggest mistake I ever made.

On 9/24/08 my wife and I bought memberships with Kis country club and golf academy on Dec 4, 2008 we received a letter stating that the company has filed for bankruptcy. All locations as of this point are closed and phone numbers are disconnected. We want our membership money refunded to us since we cannot use the services we signed up for!

On 9/24/08 my wife and I bought memberships with Kis country club and golf academy on Dec 4, 2008 we received a letter stating that the company has filed for bankruptcy. All locations as of this point are closed and phone numbers are disconnected. We want our membership money refunded to us since we cannot use the services we signed up for!

We also bought a membership and are trying to find out how to get our money back, since the company has filed for bankruptcy and the "Life time" services are no longer available and all their facilities have closed..anyone with any info would be greatly appreciated.

I have been getting regular calls from country club inspite of me telling them very cleary and now a days rudely that i am not at all interested in their membership schemes at all. I have received atleast 20 - 25 calls in the last 1 n half month n its getting really frustating now a days. Initially i would calmy reject the offer but now a days i have no option but to abuse them and be my rudest best. i Would like to get the contact details of the higher authority as i wanna escalate this matter now. This company sells by telling customers they will cut their handicap in half, you have a free trip a year, a local outdoor club to play at and none of those are true. Our handicap went up, we have sent in money for our "free trip" and it was sent back so no address found, and we still don't have an outdoor club to play at. LIES is all this company sells.

Country Club Hospitality & Holidays free gifts, land and membership

the country club of india ltd is a biggest fraud in the country their marketing people called me during 2007 and they give a special offer to credit card holders( like those of scb, icici, etc.) and told that:
they give me a membership worth rs 250000 and above for just rs 150000 and at interest free instalments and
a free plot of 2400 sq.ft. at kanakamma chatiram mango grove,
a free holiday pack for two at goa for 3 nights and
4 days with air fare and 7 days free holidays of 7 days per year for life and free access to all clubs and resorts of country club all of the world at free of cost
i beleived in their sugar coated words and fell into the pit. after a few days i got my credit cards especially icici and scb debited with excessive amounts every month and receipts for those sums from the country club as maintenance charges, upgradation charges, etc. i complained the customer care but i got a very cold response 'we will call you at the earliest'. the marketing people who approached us for membership also gave no response. after a long battle they said that the excess debits are due to technical problems and those amounts could not be reversed at any cost and they assured me that they will give me one morwe plot at country club(1200sqft) as the consideration for amount debited. then only they showed who they are. they again debited my card account with amount around 40000rs in a single day as upgradation charges of membership from mr.cool to prmium mr.cool and as aresult i had to block all my card accounts of whose numbers i gave to them. i could not able to talk to a higher official till date and later in 2008 they called that they feel sorry for the act and they said that they give me extra plot of 1200sq.ft. i thretened them that i will go consumer cour and file a suite against them they immediately gave me an appointment to come to their office and they said they will register for 2 plots then and other two plots later and they gave me the allotment letters in feb 2008 (bull ###! i became a member in 2007 and got the allotment letters in 2008 that too only for two plots) i went along with my wife and sister and filled in the forms for registeration in their names[ those cheats saqid that their registeration procedure is different clients cannot go and get the plot directly registered] till this date i got no call from those scoundrels and it is oct 2008 now. i am not able to call the authorities as the customer care officers dont transfer my call to the authorities and if i go directly they say that i cannot meet them without any prior appointment which should be got by calling the customer care. whenever i tried to avail the free holiday trip to goa they say they have no vacency at country club resorts at goa and when i tried to avail the free holidays of 7days per year they say that i cannot avail when ever i wish and said that they will send brouchere for various packages that can be availed and the period in which those can be availed, but i have never received even a single brouchere. i dont know how such anti social people still live in the society. i am dam sure that many banks have tie up with those people some of them being ICICI, SCB, etc. leaking the personal information to others from where the leakage starts.[may be politicians and star personalities have a hand in this deal as all the projects are being hosted by them (as i am not sure about this i dont want to get into sensitive issues)]
i have lost around rs 250000 till date and now i am sure that they are truely cheats and i lost my money. i want you all who see this complaint forward to all you know just as a matter of saving your hard earned money. once you pay you cannot get even a single penny back. arise, awake and stay away from these frauds.

This is to alert you about the fraud and cheating activities of the country club of india ltd (ccil), bangalore from the following address:

1) we are flooded with complaints that this company sends its staff to consumer’s homes and lure them with country club membership against huge membership fee. they promise life membership and 1089 sq. feet of land free at coconut grove.

2) the coconut grove is actually situated more than 100 kms away and without any infrastructure but this company claims it is only few kms away.

3) the company swipes the credit cards of the consumers in their homes and later fills in higher amounts and deducts the money to the maximum credit limits.

4) the company also upgrades the memberships to cool card without the consumer's knowledge and then deducts the money from your account.

5) this nasty game of cheating is being played in partner ship with banks who divulge your sensitive information to this company.

6) there are hundreds of complaints. following are the consumers who have been cheated lately:

7) bangalore police is aware of this issue as icrpc has informed the commissioner of police at bangalore. seems that police is also hand in glove with this company.

8) if you have been cheated by country club then please register an fir against the managing director of the company and see that they do not approach any more consumers.

Country Club Hospitality & Holidays unprofessional service

I paid for the basic membership (rs 30, 000) in countryclub in feb'07 using my credit card. the following were the details given to me by the country club executive (I hope he was from country club).

1. the entire fees would be paid by standard chartered at zero percent interest rate and I need to pay back in emi to stadard charged bank.
2. the membership card would be processed in 7 days hence I have to provide the family members photos asap.
3. the admin charges would be waived off for this membership for lifetime.

I was not ready for the surprises that were waiting for me ahead.

1. instead of emi, 10000 rupees was billed in my credit card bill as the first installment (which is 30%)
2. the executive never turned up to collect the photos till date. so I do not have a membership card till date
3. shameless executives keep calling me to collect the administration fees despite their executive's commitment given to me during the deal. they say that they are not responsible for the commitments made by sales executives.
4. when I ask for the membership card, they ask me mail it to them but for admin charges, they keep asking me as to when they can send their executives.

I have become wise enough (after losing 30k) to reject any of their promotion calls where they talk about giving free sites, bull # etc...

One of the company that has hopeless service, irresponsible, shameless and never willing to act on feedbacks - country club...

Country Club Hospitality & Holidays cheating the member on false promises

I took Cool CG membership 30 months back (December 2005)just because they promised a 1089 sq. ft. site/plot in Coconut Groove, Tumkur. I pais membership fee of Rs. 99, 000/- & site registration charges of Rs. 10, 000/- with a promise from them that the registration will happen within 3 months (before March 2006). I'm not a party guy to utilize the membership & haven't utilized their facilities till now. The registration has not happened till date & every time I call them they keep on giving false promise. I recently found out that the registration in Tumkur has been stopped long time back by the government as it is a revenue land & proper conversion is required to be sold to the members & hence we will not get the site/plot.

Country Club has cheated me. Now based on this I have approached them for refund for which they say that it is non refundable & I cannot do anything about that now. I have lost Rs.1, 09, 000/- 30 months back to the fraud Country Club.

I neither got the site/plot nor I'm enjoying the facilities & I paid rs. 1, 09, 000/- juts to get nothing in return.

Country Club Hospitality & Holidays cheating by company

Dear friend

be cautious if you want to become country club member, it is nothing but well organising syndicate to extort your money. the don’t fulfill their promise. it is scam be aware of it systematic fraud on the people. (I am the member of the club)

(a). allotment of land.

The promise of allotment of land at various places, please note that those land is not in their name, therefore they cannot allot the land to you, however they are making promises about the same and demand money for registration and stamp duty. however if you ask them the break up of stamp duty and registration also document to executed they give you threat of terminating and canceling your so called free gift. please note that you are charged for that because for membership charges increases with the proportion of promised allotment of land and no other benefit is given

(b). the no rules and regulation is supplied to the members

no rules and regulation are supplied to the members so you are not aware what are the rules. if you call customers service they inform you that you come true sales representative you sales representative inform you contact customer service. howeverr they inform they don’t have any rules and regulation its just arbitrary.

(c) use of franchises/affiliates:-

you are lured in to membership by informing franchises/affiliates. you don’t get any help in their alleged franchise/affiliates, in fact some of the franchisee/affiliates donot even acknowledges the county club. please note that at the time of membership you are informed if you show the membership card you can use affiliates/frachises. but after taking the membership you are informed you have to take letter from them. you cannot use of so called of frachises

(d) pay for all events

You are informed that as a member you will be entitled to enjoy all events free but once you join the club for all events like 31st december or valentine day are charged but when you complaint about the same sales representative gives you complimentary pass like a favour, now the will give it to you, but in future you will be given.

(e) availment of the 6night/7days package

if you contact for availment of 6night/7days their customer service will direct you to sale representative, when you contact sales representative he will say its responsibility of the customer service in the end you will not get any so called 6 nigh/7 days package for 5 years they just avoid it on one pretext or other.

(f) financial cost

Please note the cost of finance to your investment if you say taken a membership of rs 3, 00, 000/- as per the membership you will only get only 6night/7 day and that you have use it at a stretch. please ask yourself are you going to stay at one place for full 6nights, the answer is no instead you will prefer to be at atleast 2 different place 3day each but you can do that here. for rs 3, 00, 000/ what you get is only total 30nights that means you pay rs 10, 000/- per night for that amount you will be able to even avail five star hotel. hotel leela, banglore a five star hotel of refute charges rs 9, 000/- on weekend that’s very exhorbitant cost. instead if you deposit that amount even in fixed deposit you will get approximately rs30, 000/- per year as return with which you will have freedom of choice to enjoy in any of the place and hotel anywhere and need not stick to the country club and you can do it life long and not for only 5 years.

(f) please note that I am filing criminal complaint for cheating and misrepresentation against the mr rajeev reddy managing director, mr subbha rao and also other directors and also against sales representative mr vijay talreja and also in the consumer court. if you require any detail of it please you can contact me at [protected]. or at [protected]@lexconsultus.com

(g) instead I will suggest you consider sterling holiday or pan club or mahindra club, they do not promise you sky and give what they promise.

(h). there are many complaint pending against the said company you can see it on the net.
