CougarLife Unauthorized credit card charged

So this past Sunday I got a fraud alert hit on my card for nothing more then a few dollars. I called my bank and they canceled my card. I decided to check my account and I have a cougerlife inc charge of 39.95 I did not make.

My bank never mention this nor did it come up on my fraud alert, I don't have an account to check or open to even cancel, my bank has canceled my card and issued me a new card with a different number, I'm just concerned that this will be an on going charge on my new card...who can I call?

Claimed loss: 39.95

Desired outcome: Cancel future charges, cause I'm sure this first charge is forever lost.

CougarLife earns 61% level of Trustworthiness

Good Credibility Notice: CougarLife rated around 61% by Complaints Board. Generally safe, but exercise caution in information sharing.

We found clear and detailed contact information for CougarLife. The company provides a physical address, 3 phone numbers, and email, as well as 2 social media accounts. This demonstrates a commitment to customer service and transparency, which is a positive sign for building trust with customers.

Cougarlife.com you are considering visiting, which is associated with CougarLife, is very old. Longevity often suggests that a website has consistently provided valuable content, products, or services over the years and has maintained a stable user base and a sustained online presence. This could be an indication of a very positive reputation.

CougarLife website is deemed to be popular and indicating that it receives a high volume of traffic. It is important to be cautious when using a highly trafficked website, as it may be a target for cybercriminals looking to exploit vulnerabilities or steal personal information.

However ComplaintsBoard has detected that:

  • CougarLife's website has revealed that it is not properly optimized for search engines. This could be a red flag indicating that the company is attempting to hide its activities from the public.
  • CougarLife protects their ownership data, a common and legal practice. However, from our perspective, this lack of transparency can impede trust and accountability, which are essential for establishing a credible and respected business entity.

It is important to thoroughly research the company and its offerings before making any purchases to avoid any potential risks.

CougarLife don't waste your money

When I just signed up, I got tons of messages from different women who weren't real, I think. Many of their messages were the same, only names were different, that meant they were bots.
The membership is not that expensive and I decided to pay and see what may happen.
Well, once I paid I stopped getting messages at all.
Is that website empty then, if there's no one to talk to? I don't know, looks like a scam to me. I hope they won't use my credit card again to renew my membership. Right now I'm trying to cancel it, then I will ask them to confirm it in written form.

CougarLife Biggest waste of time!

CougarLife is an absolute joke! When I just signed up I received tons of flirts from people who were actually fake. I got many messages from men who were older than me. I'm only 25 years old and good looking, but received horrible emails from men aged 45 and above! Absolutely disgusting! They told me something about serious relationships, that they wanted to marry me! Then some of them sent me really terrible and dirty pictures of themselves! Don't get me wrong I respect older people, but these men are disgusting. I told them many times that I'm not interested in old people, but they continued to disturb me! Horrible! CougarLife is the biggest waste of time!

CougarLife don't use it!

I'm a woman age 35, and joined CougarLife about three months ago. Well I must say that this website is not the place for normal people. This website is full of fake profiles. There are many girls there in their early 20s and they all look like top models. Girls like that don't waste their time on dating sites. So If you are just a regular woman, there is no chance for you on CougarLife. No surprise that men there are not interested in an actual relationship. As a female member I am absolutely disgusted with this website.

I am a 70 years young man. I am self-sufficient, outgoing, very experienced with women, neat, intelligent, retired and very sexual. Yes, don't let the age fool you. Some of us guys can handle things very well
I joined cougarlife because while surfing, I noticed most women were older than on other sites. This attracted me. I was looking for experience women who wanted to have sex. That's all it is about. If they wanted LTR they should join match.com or one of those other boring sites.
This site is all about SEX.
They all say they want to hook up with a younger man. What do they expect? One, two, maybe three times then on to the next young loser?
Men in my age bracket can offer experience, time, attention, fine dining, travel, and HOT sex for as long as we both enjoy it. Believe me there are many ways to enjoy sex without running out of interest or steam. When was the last time you received roses from a stud after sex? Or he offered to take you on an exotic vacation?
Ladies, get real. We both need sex to stay alive and healthy. You wont get the same from a stud!
CONTACT hornymomo70 on cougarlife for a great time.
Thank you.

CougarLife Fake website!

I joined this CougarLife and started with a free account. Everything seemed fine but then I've started getting some messages. I wanted to reply, but since I wasn't subscribed I couldn't read or reply. They even send you messages from profiles with ugly pictures, so that you think its might be true. But majority of profiles are fake. Well, I signed up and paid the monthly fee. When I checked the messages I realized that they were identical! This company is running a serious scam. People there are fake, probably their employees using peoples pictures to get you to sign up. Don't waste your money and time.

CougarLife Fake website

I joined CougarLife and started with a free account. I received some messages, but I could not read those because I needed a subscription to be able to read and send messages. I received messages from beautiful and ugly looking people. They use ugly profiles so that you think its might be true, that people there are real. Then I decided to sign up and paid a monthly fee. To my surprise all those messages were nothing but computer generated ones. All the messages I received were identical! I'm sure it's not those people on the pictures, but some scammers with no life using people's pictures to get you to sign up. Don't waste your money and time. Not to mention that monthly fee is just a scam, because for each message you'll loose some credit.

Of course this is scam! Don't try putiing your email address within your profile because it gets deleted, but the funny and smart thing about these b***rds is that they don't delete it for you, when u look at your own profile ur address is still there but I made a female profile with a different email and checked my real profile, guess what! The email address was not shown! It was covered by this : [message me] !
Don't pay!

CougarLife Account Cancelled? Think again!

CL Media engages in very deceptive and fraudulent billing tactics. Firstly, they require you to call over the phone and speak with a representative to cancel your account. I don't see why this is necessary if you can easily sign up online, many sites with monthly subscription services can just as easily be unsubscribed online as they can be subscribed to online. Cougar Life does this because they realize 1) it's embarrassing 2) it's difficult, especially when you have to wait 15 minutes to speak with someone, I highly doubt that their are dozens of people all waiting in queue to cancel their CougarLife sub.

Next, the site itself is garbage and buggy but that's honestly what you get when you sign up for these dumb scam sites but I won't blame them for that because I fell for that trap because of my own stupidity. When you engage in illegal billing that's when I get upset.

CL Media bills you repeatedly after cancelling your subscription and deleting your account. Every time you are "accidentally" billed a sales representative ensures you that it was an error and it won't happen again. Call your credit card company or PayPal and have them block CL Media from making illicit charges to your account as it's the only way to stop this scam racketeer job from stealing your money. If enough people do this no payment processor will do business with them anymore, however the types of people who are dumb enough to sign up for this crap (myself included) are more than likely too stupid to figure out how to do this or simply be ignorant of the fraudulent charges on their account to begin with.

CougarLife scam

cougar life is a scam and they send out fake messages to lure you in and subscribe. I prooved this by logging in as a female with no info or photos and received messages within minutes. I also set up a male character with same lack of any info and was able to find it with the female character after exhausting searches. They may have maybe 5% of real hookups and the rest is scammed and they themselves monitor and fake messages admittedly. Also in the messages click off cougar c messages which is what this fake messaging and flirting is. put some work into a profie and go to match or pof.

The same thing happened to me! After attempts to cancel were made, I was charged again! The refund they offer in their ads is non-existant, once you join they tell you that they don't give refunds. It's a scam!

Guys if you paid via paypal you can cancel the subscription via paypal. Do a web search on how to cancel subscriptions via paypal. Always use paypal for payments to web sites like these. If you paid directly via your credit card, then contact your financial institution that your credit card is with. Cougar Life should not be billing you if you have requested to do so, this is illegal.

CougarLife Not worth the money, not worth the time

The site charges the same price as premier dating site like Match.com and Jdate, but the quality is crap, and here's why:

1) Spam: There are probably more profiles that are porn spam than real people. There is a report button, and customer service told me they are actively monitoring, however, people I've reported over a week ago are still on.

2) Selection: There isn't a large selection to choose from. Most of the profiles of the women have only a picture and not a single sentence written by them. I suspect they are spam, but who knows.

3) No chat: Websites that charge $40/month have chat. This website does not. Chat worked well from me on other dating websites - In fact it works better than sending inbox messages.

4) False "Online" indicator: Every profile says the member is online. How can ALL members all be online ALL the time? This is probably done to give users the illusion that other users are active when in fact the website is doing very poorly. Customer service told me it's a glitch that they're trying to fix, but how long does it take to fix a small problem?

Many small business starting out on the web use fake profiles to get the website going. When I first joined I got a few messages from other "users" who were saying hello and asking me to tell them about myself saying if they like it they will respond. In other words, don't expect a response. It had all the markings of such in-house created profiles "welcoming" me to the site...

And now to the most outrageous one..
5) While on the phone with customer service discussing all the above, the rep said, "I'm looking through your inbox and it seems like you've been getting messages from real members". I was not asked for my permission to go through my e-mails. Clearly they don't respect their users' privacy.

Bottom line: Not worth the money. Not worth the time.

This has to be the worst dating website ever. I have been on it for about a week and all I have received are emails for webcam, online pictures, and other freaky dating sites. Don't waste your money. If you do you will get ###ed, but not by any of the girls. I also emailed them about their crappy service and how I wanted a refund because of it and you will not get a refund. What they will give is a bunch of ### and excuses about the spamming and how they can't refund you. Again don't waste your money. Don't even join.
