I followed the instructions to "verify" my profile by providing my credit card. NOWHERE in the process appeared the word "payment", "45 euro", "subscription", "donation", everything was presented as a simple verification procedure to make sure my profile exists.

As I submitted the details of my credit card I received an email from the bank saying "you just paid 45 euros to Couchsurfing". This is ABSOLUTELY NOT FAIR, I am furious with this misleading communication and I will denounce this fact to Consob, the Italian costumer association.

Any payment request should be clearly declared to the costumer, and this sneaky behavior is not acceptable in particular if it comes from such a big and respectable organization as Couchsurfing is. I am very disappointed about that and will do my best to denounce it.

Hello, I have never used couch surfing but I now see that i was charged twice (in May 2016 and May 2017) for membership. I don't live at the address provided and I would like a $40 refund for both years of unnecessary charges. I would also like my information (especially my credit card information) removed from your website. The receipt numbers are [protected] and [protected] respectively. I have included the emails that went to my junk mail that I eventually found.

I am a host on Couchsurfing and I'm accepting guest from all over the world. I really enjoyed meeting new people, must say that it was a great experience.
Unfortunately my latest experience was terrible. As always I accepted a guest, person seemed nice and friendly. I showed him around, we had fun and after we returned home he went to sleep. I thought he was sleeping, so I went out for 10 minutes to buy some cigarettes. When I came back door was open and my so called guest was missing along with my iPad and laptop.
Couchsurfing did nothing to help me find him. I also reported this case to the police. I'm officially done with this host job.

I used Couchsurfing few times and that was really awesome. I met amazing people, visited some cool places and had a lot of fun. Last time when I used it I was going to Paris. I went to Couchsurfing and found a place to stay. I thought the person was a girl, but when I arrived there was a man! He started telling me stories that girl was his sister and other stuff. Really! Couchsurfing is not so safe as you might think! I refused to go anywhere with him and found myself a hotel. Who knows what could have happened!

Guys, don’t register on the website of Couchsurfing International Inc. I have registered on the website and filled the form. After my profile was finished, the owner of this website emailed me and tried to find a fault. He said a lot of unpleasant and rude words. I was so upset and my impression of this website was really bad. The owner is very nasty and unpleasant person, who will find the way how to abuse you.

People, attention. I signed for the website www.couchsurfing.org. I joined it and wanted to post my ad there, but these jerks decided to fool me. They started to steal money from me, but when I noticed it and asked to stop, these ### blocked my access. I can’t get money back, and I can’t reach them now. I have no idea what measures to take now. I wonder if there are other people, who had the same experience. Can you provide any good piece of advice?

I registered on the website www.couchsurfing.org and met a lot of people. And one day I found the person, who agreed to give houseroom for me while I went for business trip in another city. But when I arrived, we agreed to meet at one place, but this guy never came. His phone was also switched off. I was upset, because I hadn’t been in such situations before. So be careful and better check other people if you want to use the coachsurfing.
