Costco treatment by costco.com "supervisor" cindy

I bought a dishwasher in Nov. 2017. It was defective. We waited and received a replacement. It, too was defective. It is now Jan. 3, 2018. I called for the fourth time to ask for the defective dishwasher to be picked up today. After waiting an hour on hold (each time), I asked the rep "Jason" for the supervisor. (Note: Jason apologized at least twice for the inconvenience.) The supervisor, Cindy, took the call. Told me the pick up company had 5 business days to pick it up (from Dec. 20th til Jan. 3rd is only 1 day over that time frame she stated). I told her I am frustrated having bought the appliance from COSTCO specifically so I wouldn't have any customer service issues and it has been more than TWO MONTHS (including Thanksgiving and Christmas) hand-washing dishes. She did not acknowledge my feelings or importance of my business AT ALL. She stood behind the fact that "we are only technically one day late due to the holidays." When I asked if she could share her title and department, she stated she was "Costco management" and would not clarify her department. (Today is Jan. 3, 2018. I called at approx. 11:30 am and spoke first to Jason who passed me to Cindy. I hope you can review the transcripts.)
I am so so frustrated even beyond the dishwasher (that has been sitting in my kitchen with standing water in it since Dec. 20th.) I cannot even buy another dishwasher because I need to wait for the pick up AND THEN the credit.
I am requesting a member of management to contact me by phone at [protected] to help resolve my issue AND to explain to me why Cindy spoke to me the way she did.
Thank you.
Bethany Smith

Costco kirkland signature mature dog food (chicken, rice and egg)

I want to find out if Costco is getting rid of this specific Dog Food. I have been to my local Costco 5 times in the past 3 months and the dog food I buy for my dog isn't there. It is "Kirkland" Brand. I asked at the checkout and they referred to a desk where they can magically check to see if they have the product. I went to the desk and there were about 8-10 employees standing around the desk laughing. I asked about the dog food and all the employees scattered like cockroaches. The remaining 2 employees said that they "don't have it and they may never have it back". And were quite bothered by my asking.
However, I found out recently, a warehouse further away does carry it and I told them that. I didn't understand why they wouldn't carry their own brand.
I have been buying this brand of dog food for years and now that my pet is a senior, we have been giving her this mature dog food.
So my question/s is/are this...
Does Costco carry the Kirkland Signature Mature Dog Food? if so, why doesn't my warehouse not have it when they have all the other different varieties?

The company did not do any research. I called customer service and was on hold for nearly an hour before I spoke with a representative. They told me that my particular store stopped carrying this, but could not tell me why. I put in a request for them to start carrying it again.

Costco gas pump

Today Jan. 2nd, my wife went to the Costco at 8712 W. Linebaugh Ave., Tampa, FL 33625 to fill her car with gas. Once the car was full, she removed the hose from the tank and the gas continued to flow at full speed for about 5 seconds before it shut off. She was drenched in gasoline! Boots, jeans, down jacket all drenched. She told the attendant and he just shrugged and said, "yeah, that happens sometimes!" Are you kidding me! He then just sprinkled some absorbing materials on the ground and went back to work. My wife drove home, drenched in gasoline and very upset! Our car smells of gas and she has washed all her clothing several times to no avail.
This is a serious matter and I am just thankful nothing more happened! I would appreciate this matter to be escalated up the ladder as soon as possible. I await your reply. I can be reached at [protected] or robert.[protected]@gmail.com. Thank you.

Costco possible membership

On Friday 12/29/2017, I call Costco in Vacaville, Ca. to see if I can take a look around the Club, because I have a membership with Sam's Club and was thinking of trying Costco because I've heard so many good things about it. The customer service person was polite and told me that they dont do one day past but I can come over, just check in with customer service. When I arrived with another friend that wanted to check out the Club, a Manager Milton told me that we can see the Club, but we had to be escorted. I was insulted. I explained to him that I know that I couldn't buy anything so why the escort. He said that it was the policy. I took a deep breath and walked with the manager escorting me throughout the store. I was the least to say embarrassed, uncomfortable, humiliated.
I know that Costco don't need my membership, but I felt like a criminal being followed by loss Prevention.
I am a small business owner, and civic leader in my community. I respect and appreciate Costco in my community. I hope that you trust people to look before they buy without being escorted. Just go inside a store and have someone follow you around and see how that feels and if you feel ok then keep that policy. LP could have followed us on the camera without feeling followed. They do it all the time with people that look suspicious. But if it's your policy, so be it.
Thank you

Costco employee being discriminatory

I was at the Signal Hill, CA Costco waiting near the door for my boyfriend as he was getting a shopping cart. I observed other customers walking in without showing or being asked to present their Costco membership card. Upon my entrance Cassie (the Costco employee at the front door) discriminated against me and with bias only asked me to show my Costco card. I felt that she singled me out because she was Mexican and I was Asian. She did not ask ANYONE else for their card.

When I mentioned this to Kevin (the manager on duty), he said some people have their cards out already. I explained I was standing there observing that they did not have their cards out and no one else was being asked to show one because I was standing there waiting for my boyfriend. He said policy is to always ask.

I have been going to Costco many years and rarely am stopped and asked to present my card. This year I have been to the Monterey, Manhattan Beach, Torrance, and Signal Hill, California stores and this was the only time I was asked to show my card. It's not a consistent store policy. Nevertheless, my issue is that I was subjectively discriminated and singled out by Cassie.

If you have cameras, you can check that today, December 30, 2017 that Cassie did not check everyone's card because I was standing there observing it. This was between 1 and 2 pm.

How long did you stand there and watch? At my local Costco, they often check member cards at random. Also, it may have been possible that the employee recognized some of the customers she saw.

Costco kirkland kid's gummy vitamins

I purchased your store brand kid's gummy vitamins and I am really disappointed and will be return due to the fact that they have corn syrup. They have so many extras in them that are horrible for kids and people in general. Is there someone else I need to reach about this? As a consumer I would really love a company to take initiative and correct the ingredients so this is actually a good choice for a multi vitamin.

You will simply need to visit the location with the product and your receipt for the return. If corn syrup content is important to you, you should read the labels prior to purchasing. Clearly other customers are okay with it as it is a product they still carry.

Costco the store is freezing cold

Dear Costco,
As a shopper at your Lewisville, Tx location, I feel like you should know the store is way too cold. It is wintertime here in Texas and I and other customers have talked about how uncomfortable it is to shop in your store. I passed by a thermometer (not in the frozen section) and it said 29 degrees! That's below freezing! I realize it's a big warehouse and perhaps hard to heat but I really feel like the Store Manager isn't turning the heat on at ALL. Perhaps, to save money? Please, please, please do something about this! I want to continue to shop at your store but be somewhat comfortable. Thank you for listening.
Sincerely,
Laura Hollien

Costco innovel delivery service

You had one job to do...
I received email on Dec 18, announcing delivery/installation of a washer/dryer combo on December 29th. I missed a funeral today because I waited for delivery, but never got a phone call. When I called Innovel to find out where they were, I was told delivery was scheduled for JANUARY 29th. Much back and forth between Costco Customer Service/Innovel, and me, with different dates being promised, then being told no, Jan. 29th was earliest date available.
I cancelled the order, purchased item from out-of-state vendor for less cost and no tax. I do feel sorry I missed the funeral, and don't have warm fuzzy feelings about Costco anymore.

With respect, this is what's referred to as tripping over dollars to get to dimes.

Costco entering the store with a teacup puppy

I was advised at the Costco on hammer lane that i couldn't carry my dog in hand or in my purse to buy alcohol for the company New Year's Eve party. I've shopped with my pup before it's so small no one notices her in my purse. I've gone to different Costco's in different cities with no problem. I did advise the manager on duty and the girl at the door they should put a sign up saying no pets allowed along with their other rules on the board! When i asked where the sign was saying let's werent allowed so future customers know they're not allowed just service dogs. But there's not even a service dog only sign either so i wouldn't of known this store didn't allow small dogs when shopping!

Do you also need a sign to let you know you shouldn't use electrical appliances while in a tub of water? Geez lady, get a clue! Anyone with an iota of sense knows that you cannot bring pets into a grocery store. How old are you? And stores don't post service dogs allowed signs because they are protected by federal law! So, there is no need for any signs. There is a big difference between a service dog and someone's freaking pet! BTW: that is a real live animal and not an accessory.

Costco people who give out samples at costco

On 12/28/2017 my husband and I were shopping at the Market place Costco in Tucson. At approximately 3:55 p.m. one of the demonstrators was sampling poppers. While we were passing her station she removed her hat and was preparing to shut down her station. Much to our surprise, she trashed one full tray of poppers and a partial tray into the trash. We were surprised by this. We thought that this was done in poor taste. Her cart could have been rolled back to the area where they are stored, and the product could have been trashed there.

Costco prime rib which was actually pork!!

On December 25th I roasted a 11 pound prime rib and, what also what was labeled as a 6 pound Prime rib. Both item # 36237, both clearly labeled "Choice Seasoned Standing Rib Roast- Bone in". Further, the ingredients label clearly states "Rib of Beef". To my shock and horror, the smaller Prime rib was actually a rib of PORK! My children's father is Jewish and I have Muslim friends. To mislabel a product such as this is very serious thing and ruined our celebration. I would like Costco to address this immediately as I have no intention of standing in a return line for hours. My husband is a brain surgeon, I run a legal company and we value our time. I saved both packaging trays with the attached labels as well as the pork which was not eaten.
I would like Costco to contact me immediately.

Costco delivery and install of appliances

I purchased a washer and dryer from Costco 11/28/17. When it got delivered to my area they called to set up delivery and install. Correctly noted that it was a gas dryer and made sure to schedule correct people for gas install. When they didn't show on that date I called and folks were very nice it somehow didn't get scheduled. Rescheduled after going through the gas shut off valve, etc. when that Tues. rolled around the delivery guys said they could not install gas so they wanted to leave them in my garage. Long story but again Ruby in customer service was great and she spoke to delivery outfit and said they finally had it set up correctly. Well that was scheduled for today 12/27/17. The guys pulled up and said where did we want them to leave them? In garage? Because once again they can't install gas appliances. I finally canceled my order w/Costco. I will go to Warner Stellian tomorrow.

Costco employee act out of line and was rude.

The incident happened 26 December 2017 at 11:47am at the 450 10th St San Francisco, CA 94103 Costco. The rude employee worked at the register OP# 152 operated by PAUL M. The employee was rude when asked politely for boxes, but look back with an aggressive face and snarled back saying "Say excuse me" in a hostile tone when "excuse me" was clearly said. The desired resolution to reprimand the employee for mediocre customer service.

Costco elimination of excellent product

I have been purchasing the Kirkland extra large disinfecting wipes for years. It is no longer available, so I have ordered a product called Grime Boss from Amazon. I will never buy the Clorox wipes or the flushable wipes you currently sell. I will not use the Clorox wipes because of the tub dispenser, and I do not want to flush wipes down my toilet even though they claim to be biodegradable. I do not understand why such a good and popular product has been eliminated. I am hoping you will bring back the Kirkland wipes soon.

Costco humbolt creamery ice cream

We have been buying the Kirkland signature vanilla ice cream for years, and my whole family loves it;however, this year it was replaced by the humbolt creamery ice cream. My children refuse to eat the humbolt one, even with pie! Please bring the Kirkland signature one back! I have many friends of the family in CA who share our sentiment. It is also all over reddit and other social media realms. We have stopped buying ice cream entirely at costco, as the only one that comes close is Hagen daas at a much higher price point.

Costco rude service

(This happened in St. Charles Costco IL) My daughter and I brought our small puppy to Costco with us. We thought we could bring our puppy because we've brought our puppy to other public places. While we were shopping, no workers came to us and told us we couldn't have our dog with us. Even when I was paying, the cashier assistant Nancy (who has long blonde hair with glasses) didn't tell me I couldn't have my puppy with me. But, after everything was paid, I had to go to the bathroom. So I left my daughter in line at the food court, holding the dog, with the cart. When my daughter was about to order, Nancy (the cashier assistant who didn't say anything to me about the dog) came up to my daughter and aggressively told my daughter she had to leave. My daughter said okay, and Nancy left. Then only 20 seconds later, Nancy came back to my daughter who was paying for her order, and she even more aggressively told my daughter to leave. She was also pointing to my daughter and frowning. My daughter is only 14 years old. She was holding a dog, and she had a cart that was already paid with her. How could she leave? She was waiting for me also. So my daughter told Nancy that she couldn't leave because she was waiting for me. But Nancy still told my daughter aggressively that she had to leave. The people around her looked at my daughter, and they all looked sorry for her. When I came back from the bathroom, my daughter looked frustrated and sad. She told me what happened and I brought my daughter and the dog out of the store, and I went to go talk with Nancy. She kept on arguing that my daughter was lying, and she said that she was right. She said she would walk over to my daughter and prove to her that she was right. When she got to my daughter, she started to talk even more aggressively and she pointed at her even more. All we wanted was an apology from her, but she just came to us to prove that she was right. When we couldn't take her aggressiveness, I asked to talk to the manager. The manager came to us and the first thing she said was that she wouldn't bring Nancy back. She said she wouldn't do anything. She kept on repeating how they had a no dog allowed policy. I told her that, that wasn't the point! I told her the point was, Nancy was very rude and aggressive to a 14 year old girl who was alone. I have two questions to the Costco. First, how do you guide your employees to let the customers know your policy? Is it okay to be rude to a girl who is 14 years old girl without knowing what to do? Second, what is your job description for a person who works as a manager? Just like I experienced, the manager doesn't care about what happened in between me and Nancy, and only said Merry Christmas and Happy New Year? I've maintained an execute membership for over seven years. Since I've experienced such an insulting event yesterday, I doubt why I spend my money to the place in which Nancy and her manager can do whatever they want to do even in a rude and aggressive way. If my concern is wrong, please teach me in a humanitarian way, unlike what Nancy and her manager did.

Costco restaurant/take out area

Dear Costco customer relations,
I have always enjoyed shopping at Costco and go at least once a month and spend hundreds of dollars on Food, clothing and accessories. Today for simply based on principle I am writing you as a very confused and disappointed member. I have decided that I will no longer give Costco any money towards food in their restaurant/take out food area. This area continues to disappoint me as a member because after shopping for hours (especially on Christmas week) all we wanted to do was grab a bite to eat to go as we were very hungry after spending lots of time and money in your store. It was extremely frustrating to find that there were no lids for the pop and we were told that the pop is cheap and to suck it up. The point was that I'm paying for a lid as well and don't want it splashed all over the car. Also I wanted to put the gravy on the side for the poutine I had ordered because it would make the food soggy if I can't eat it right away as there were no spots to sit I had to take it out with me. Again I was told we are not allowed to have the containers for gravy anymore. I could see the containers and pointed asking please I'll pay for the container. Her response was no we don't do that anymore. I asked to pay for a drink cup or purchase a drink so I could put it in a drink cup container and pay and I was rudely denied again. I couldn't believe that after all the time and money and energy I had just spent and spend on the monthly I couldn't even get a lid or a container which I'd gladly just pay for to solve my problem and be on my way. We decided to not eat there and go elsewhere for food. I'm still in shock that a company that charges a membership fee can't provide those tiny things and were told no. It just makes no sense. As a result we will no longer support the behaviour and continue to move on because simple requests a customer should not have to send an email for is currently being sent. A reminder to the people that think taking away things and cutting corners is good for the long run...its not. The banks that put in pens with chains actually lost customers and they were too concerned with loses pens and their bottom line it all comes down to what the customers need. The location I am referring to is at Dixie and Dundas in Mississauga Ontario if you do wish to do anything about it. Thank you and have a great holiday.

Costco food court

I have been an Executive Member at Costco for 10+ years. I have spent a lot of money at this wholesale, including the store itself as well as their food court section. Yesterday, I called in an order for a pizza. I heard the phone ring about 10 times before somebody actually answered. I know they can enjoy so I just let that go. I placed my order and I was never told my price or how long I.T was going to take to before I.T was going to be ready. I was not told good bye I just heard the phone hang up. Again, when I got there I.T was kind of busy so I figured I.T was just that. So after waiting in the line that was moving at slugs pace while watching everyone in the other line move much quicker, I.T was finally my time to go up. The person never smiled or anything I tell her I'm here for a pick up and she says "what did you get" so I said my name and what I got. She then brings me a pizza and get my smoothie for me. I walk away to the straws and take a look at my pizza. I.T looked as though I.T had been sitting up there for about 2 hours. Barely had warmth to I.T, the vrust was non existent and when I look at the ticket, I.T wasn't even my name. I walk back and tel them that I.T is not my name and as I was trying to tell them the pizza looked bad, they were talking to each other saying it's the same order so I can take I.T. They each then walked away from me and ignored me. I could see that they had just put my actual box up on top of the oven but would not give me my actual pizza that was nice and fresh based off the fact I left my house right when I ordered my pizza so that I.T would be. After being ignored like that, and then standing around watching them and neither of them payed me any mind although they were looking at me look at them, I saw I was not going to be awknowledged so I left and took my pizza being very disappointed. I glanced at all the pizzas on the window and they all looked very fresh and good and baked well so I know the people working were capable of making a good pizza. This just addd to my dissappointemt. After getting home and bringing back the pizza, I reluctantly tried I.T and I.T didn't even taste good. I.T tasted old and stale. The little bit of crust that I did get to try was terrible. And the cheese had the taste as though the pizza had been cooked frozen and then cooked again and handed to me to eat. The dough was not properly cooked either. I did not even finish my one slice because I.T was that gross. I normally am I big fan of Costco and it's food court, especially the pizza being that it's my favorite food, but the customer service I received as well as then the quality of the product I got, has very much tainted my many years of bragging about Costco and getting my friends to sign up. Maybe if I hadn tbeing treated so badly then getting home and eating a nasty pizza wouldnt have been so upsetting but with the experience from the phone call, while leaving my House, to order pizza to coming back home and trying the pizza and being very dissatisfied, there is nothing good I have to say about my experience yesterday. I don't right complaints often but when I do, it's because they are needed. Thank you for your time.

Costco directv software upgrade

A week ago there was a software update pushed on to my DirecTV receiver without any notification. They have redesigned the guide and recordings menus, along with other 'enhancements'. I cannot speak to the other 'enhancements', because I cannot get over how badly they screwed up the menus. The font is smaller on both menus, and the color scheme makes it more difficult to read them. According to AT&T, there is no way to go back to the old menu that was much more legible. As soon as my contract is up, DirecTV will be going away in my home. Is there any way Costco can get AT&T to waive the contract cancellation fee? I recommend that Costco drop their endorsement of DirecTV, and find a vendor that is more customer focused.
