Cost Cutters rude employees

Cost Cutters of W. State of Franklin Road, Johnson City, TN, will get no more of my business. I stopped by to get a hair trim. I was told by the stylist and the girl at the register that it had been only two weeks since my last trim and I didn't need one! I have never, ever had anyone tell me they didn't want my business. Then they said maybe I had forgotten when I was last there. I remember EXACTLY when I was last there. My hair is short and grows very fast. I wanted a little taken off the top and sides. They acted like I was so stupid that I forgot when I was last there. I told them they had just lost a customer.

Cost Cutters bad hair cut

I have had my husband arrive home with an awful haircut from a stylist named cecelia. The scary issue is Which he mentioned this women has been cutting hair for over 20 years, and she is that bad ! My husband also mentioned she was safe at letting him feel uncomfortable by speaking of extremely offensive issues. i strongly believe that this women is unprofessional . Although she desperately needs to be addressed, i chose to remain anonymous because i am extremely happy with my stylist at the CC in cherry hill .

Cost Cutters rude manager

I haven't been to a Cost Cutters in over 1 year and I will never go there again. poor service is my reason on two seperate occurances. The first time I arrived early, before opening, so i could be one of the first for a haircut at my local Cost Cutters. The manager was rude, saying after opening the doors, "I'm not ready yet for business". When she was ready, she took the person who came in after I did! she should have been ready before she opened the doors and she should have ask who was first.that was annoying. I got my haircut and was on my way.. The second time, I went early again. this time I waited and waited and was told that one of the employees was going to be late. (she wasn't at the salon yet). I waited over an hour before she showed up! I didn't ask for a discount, but one was never offered either! I never went back!

Cost Cutters poor service

I only had to wait a few minutes. But, the lady that did my hair was so rude I almost left when she was halfway through. I had a wash as well and when she started cutting it only took like 5 minutes and she was done I kept asking her over and over again to do what I, wanted, and she said no it would make my hair so this or that. It's my hair! After my 5 minute cut she asked if I wanted my hair dry? Duh! My hair was halfway dry and she was done. I asked her to do more and her comment was "we are to busy" so I went and sat down waiting for my ride and she left! There was no line! Poor Poor Service! After she left I found out she was the MANAGER!

Is it a manager policy of a Cost Cutters or is it a Cost Cutters policy not using rollers after a hair cut. The salon closest to me was fine until a couple months ago. Now they only allow their staff to use a curling iron-no rollers allowed. In addition the person cutting my mother's hair stopped in the middle of a hair cut and left to cut a gentleman's hair. When I asked another staff person why this happened, I was told "She is the manager-she can do what she wants". This manager is also the one who said no more curlers. I called other Cost Cutters and they do not have a no roller policy.

Cost Cutters stylists

I arrived at Cost Cutters at 5:08pm there were three stylists a customer in each of their chairs, and one other customer besides myself waiting for service. The stylist to the right greeting me with a hello the clipboard was not on the check in counter therefore I sat down. When the stylist to the right completed her customer she asked if I needed to sign in I stated yes, she asked for my name, and what services would I like I stated a relaxer, she asked if I had been there before I stated yes once she said ok I have you in the system. As she walked past the other stylist it appeared that she informed them of the services that I wanted. I recognized the stylist whom styled my hair during my first visit I asked what time was she leaving she stated eight 0' clock I said ok I am getting my relaxer, she stated I have two customers coming in at six at this time it was five fifteen, I said ok and asked the other stylist would she be able to do my hair she stated no I get off at five. I then said well I guess walk-ins don't matter, the stylist scheduled to leave at five stated well kind of you can get any chemical treatment done as long as you come in before we close but if we have appointments we have to take them first. The other stylist was blow drying her client's hair and did not say anything, therefore I am standing there with this puzzled look on my face neither of them said have a seat she will be with you in a moment, they did not offer another time, did not apologize (nothing) again I would like to stress that it was 5:15pm at this point and she was blow drying a client's hair her next appointments were not scheduled to arrive according to her until 6:00pm. I no longer felt welcomed turned around and walked towards the door still hoping someone said something. I left. I was completely satisfied with the services that I received my very first visit this is why I came back, however I believe that their behavior last night was unacceptable and to allow a customer to walk out of the door without even offering another alternative, or even an apology was just rude. The stylist to the right of the store was still in the back, therefore she did not know what took place during her absence. I really do not want this to happen to another customer, and most likely will not return, however I feel that management needed to be aware that this took place in their establishment.

Not to offer any other alternatives in my opinion was rude. The other clients were not scheduled to arrive until 6:00pm. Lunch, Breaks, Stick to the issue at hand Tony Steward

Wow it's funny that you chose to use the word annoying, the establishment is not a barber shop, therefore other services are offered. If you choose a profession in which you come in contact with customers daily and you become annoyed and allow it to show then you have chosen the wrong profession. I am sure the President/CEO would rather keep a customer then to lose one. It is always about the consumer when they are the ones that you depend on to keep your business afloat. It does not take three hours for a relaxer, unless your husband had virgin hair or his hair was very long. Yes you are correct about one thing I should contact management as well as the corporate office, which is whom I thought I was contacting. Do you happen to know the number ? There is no excuse for rudeness.

I can't believe you would say something so callus as " I guess walk-ins don't matter" when you learn that there are no available time slots for you...I guess you would prefer that people who have made an appointment shouldn't matter and should be put aside for you...were they actually rude? or is your complaint simply that you walked in and they were all booked up for the day? I noted that you assumed that the worker who told you she didn't have any time slots available because she had customers coming in at 6 was being rude. Did you assume she was being rude because you normally don't take any breaks or lunches at your place of employment? Just curious.

Cost Cutters rude service

My husband and I needed hair cuts and happened to be in Apple Valley and had some down time before a meeting. We saw the store and stopped. When we arrived there was 1 teen before us and they said about half an hour. We left and came back about 20 minutes later. We waited and Susan called my husband back, she was very short spoken and that was fine however she was very forcefull in directing my husband to look down, actually pushing his head down repaetedly even though he never moved it up from the previous time, she barely brushed the hair off his neck and his clothes were covered in hair afterwards. Then it was my turn, she asked what I wanted I explained the style and she understood and went to cutting, when she did not get the length right in the back and I asked if she could please go shorter I was given the sigh of annoyance and she cut it shorter, she cut me bangs and again when I asked she correct them because the were not the right length she did the sigh, the hair cut is still not correct, the bangs are too long and have strands that are inches longer and are not even straight and the do not blend with my style and that is what I asked for and spots in the back are longer than I like, I just get nervous to ask to have it corrected repeatedly when the sylist is already annoyed that you did not like their first attempt, I would hate for them to do a chop job out of flusteration. I will not go to any cost cutters again, if I am in a hurry great clips is my place, I have never had a bad experience and they always style my hair afterwards and I can see how it looks freshly cut and styled instead of wet and flat.

Cost Cutters customer service

I went to the nearest Cost Cutters salon at the Pier 37 location here in Madison for a haircut on a recent Saturday afternoon. To my surprise, it was not busy - only one person was having their hair done - but the person who greeted me asked if I had 'called ahead' because 'Brad won't have an opening until 4:30.' Had I wanted to call ahead and book an appointment for a simple haircut, I would have done so elsewhere -- not at a place that has always been known as a walk-in establishment. Since it was only 3:00 P.M. I chose not to wait (!) or return at a later time, but instead took my business elsewhere. This is not the first time I have encountered this ridiculous situation at Cost Cutters (and we have several locations in this area), but it will definitely be the last.

I visited CostCutters in Oshkosh WI on Friday 11/15/2019 and requested just a trim on my haircut to remove split ends. When I walked in no one was at the front desk, no one was sitting in the chairs waiting to be seen and there was no stylist in site.
I could hear laughing and talking from the back area and finally someone came to the front and asked if they could help me. I stated what I wanted and I was told that they could not see me until just before closing. I said "But there is no one here" she stated well we still can't see you, we are too busy. Not a way to do business.
I then went to another location of CostCutters in Oshkosh WI and I got the same story. Do they practice this verbiage?

I went back to Cost Cutters to get my hair colored & highlighted. I got a good haircut the first time I went so I thought he would be good at coloring my hair. Well, I was so disappointed & upset when I was done, I almost cried. My hair is always highlighted with blond highlights, but for some reason, he made my hair totally dark brown. He wanted to add some more of the same (what he thought was highlights) to my hair. I did not want him touching my hair any more to make it worse than it already was. So, I had to go to Walmart and buy haircolor and a highlighting kit and do my own hair. So I spent $20 more dollars than I needed to. I did a better job than he did. He just did not listen to what I wanted. It's a shame because I do like the way it is cut, but I cannot ever go back there again. I called the 800 number to tell them what happened and no one responded. I'm telling everyone not to go to the Cost Cutters in Robinson Township - ever!

I went to Cost Cutters over the weekend to get a hair trim. The location area that I went to was in the Lemmon Valley area of Reno, NV. All I asked was for a hair trim and my hair to be layered around my face. The hair stylist refused to wash my hair. Not only that, she didn't section my hair to layer it the right way. She kept telling me how she is on a time limit. Every time I told her how I wanted it layered. She appeared to get angrier and angrier. Then, she grabbed my hair in a rough manner and started cutting it. To where half of my hair was shorter than my ear. Now when I walked into this salon my hair was past my shoulders. I cried in that salon in front of everyone. I felt violated and like a joke. I never been treated like this at any hair salon.

I went to Cost Cutters four months ago asking for a trim of the layered cut I've had for 30 years. I have long hair and love it long. I've never had a problem with anyone just trimming it up before. Instead, she cuts 80% of my hair about 3 inches long leaving the rest looking like I had just gone through a round of chemo! To make it tragic, I'm 60, and it will never grow back as healthy as it was, the texture has changed. And, to make it even worse, I was going through one of the most depressed state of emotions I've ever had and my hair was my one crowning glory I could always count on looking nice. Now even 4 months later, I hate looking in the mirror.

My complaint is about the Costcutter, 823 Great Northern Road Aberdeen. I am writing this as i feel left with no other alternative, i have tried speaking to the staff in the shop only to be spoken to like a piece a rubbish, i pointed out that i was sick of coming into the shop and the prices at the till being different from the prices on the selves, i was told it was my fault and that i was looking at the wrong place when i told her to come with me and i would show her what i meant she got extremely rude and still insisted that she was right and it was the customers who had put the item in the wrong place and its not her job, there is also some kind of brown stuff dripping from the roof on to the shop floor and some of the stock, when i pointed this out i was told its not there fault its the people up above and there was nothing they could do, i pointed out that they could at least move there stock as it was cereals, tea bag, and sugar just to be spoken to rudely again, the girl that is working at till is only 17 and should not be serving myself or any other customers that are buying alcohol or cigarettes i am a 52year old woman and i use this shop every day, i have never complained before but i feel the way i was spoken to by this girl was a disgrace, the manager was present but she chose not to intervene and just carried on with want ever she was reading, as this costcutters has a post office in the shop i have no alternative but to keep on using it but i will be doing most of my shopping else where from now on

THIS IS WHAT i HAD DONE TO ME! I AM IN THE SAME DEPRESSING SITUATION AND I CANT EVEN GET MY MONEY BACK? CAN I SUE THEM? I CANNOT GO OUT IN PUBLIC WITH THIS HACK JOB AND THIS IS THE SAME THING THEY DID TO THIS WOMAN AS I WILL BE TURNING 60 ALSO AND JUST WAS TRYING TO GET A SIMPLE TWO INCH TRIM...HAIR IS ABOVE EARS! MANAGER SAYS IT WILL GROW BACK? SHE NEVER SAW IT. AND THEY REFUSE TO GIVE OUT RESTRICTED NUMBER AND SAY SOMEONE FROM BACK EAST WILL CALL TO SEE IF I CAN GET A LOUSY 15 BUCKS BACK? THIS IN MY OPINION IS A 5000 MISHAP THAT WILL AFFECT ME FOR YRS TO COME..BUT ACCORDING TO THEM THAT HAVE NOT SEEN ME OR MY HAIR SAY IT WILLL GROW OUT? REALLY? i CANCELLED A STAGE PERFORMANCE..NO ONE WANTS TO BE AN OBJECT OF PITY! THEN SHE HAD THE AUDACITY TO SAY I RAN AROUND HER STORE WHICH WAS EMPTY AND SAID I WANT TO KILL MSELF. ARE THERE CAMERA IN THE STORE? I AM SICK TO MY STOMACH WITH THIS AND THEY ACT LIKE ITS NO BIG DEAL? PEOPLE DO GO TO TV JUDGES WITH BAD HAIR CUTS AND WIN..CANT I WIN ON JUDGE JUDY OR JOE BROWN? SEEMS THEY ALWAYS WIN WHEN IT IS THIS DAMN OBVIOUS.

Cost Cutters terrible attitude to the new comers

I was getting my hair done at the cost cutters in cherry hill nj. The manager was my stylist and I told her that I was looking for a new job. She gave me an application saying ill give u the job now if u want I just need to see how u cut. She gave me my hours and days and proceeded to say things to me like "I usually don't tell a client this, but since your gonna be working here...". She had told me prior that there was a girl that came in before me and she was going to get the job but she could never get a hold of her so she had pretty much given up on her. So the manager told me she would call me on a specific day to see when I could bring in hair cuts to show her. When she didn't call me I called her and she told me the other girl came in and shge got the job. I am angry about this because I don't think it was handled professionally at all. I know there is something I can do about it, I am just not sure what. Could someone from cost cutters corporate office please get back to me as soon as possible? I would greatly appreciate it.

Cost Cutters will never, never go back

I went to Cost Cutters on a Saturday afternoon. Expected to wait. There were only 2 stylists in the salon. 1 family of 4, all getting hair cuts. Waited over 45 mins and not once did they acknowledge me. Don't know why I waited so long. Listen to the employees put down the other salon down the street. According to the conversations, the owner of the francise puts all the good stylists in the new salons, so that the haircuts are good and the customers come back. After a while he reassigns them to another salon. Called at 3pm on a Monday to make an appointment with a certain stylist for later. No problem, I was told. Arrived 10 minutes early. The stylist I requested had just put someone in her chair. Said Hi to me, and continued to cut hair on the customer. No problem. Until, the customer in the chair asked if she had time to fit in her son for a haircut. Guess what, he was shampooed and put in the chair. I left and will never never go back.

Cost Cutters $10 off product card

I have retained a ‘Cost Cutters’ card that was given to me by a salon some time ago. The card is for every time you buy product, show the card and get great deals along the way to $10 off product.

I’ve kept the card and used it along the way. It has been stamped and initialed and now I should be able to get $10 off product. Every time I have walked in to buy more product at a Cost Cutters and showed them my card for $10 off product, they will not accept it.

My question is………why do you provide customers with a discount card and then do not honor it?

Cost Cutters cut/style

I used the same hair stylist 3 times in the last year to color my hair and to do a few highlights-it worked so I decided to bring her a picture of the style/cut/color I wanted for myself.

I explained to her to modify it a little bit.
I also wanted perm so the style will be like that picture for a few months( let me notice that my hair are thick and a bit curly by nature and I knew that perm would be working for me for a few months)...
I spent long hours at the COST Cutters in Chanhasses-from 5.30pm until 10pm Friday night hoping that I get what I want AND NOT COMPLAINING ABOUT LONG PROCESS AT ALL. I WAS ACTUALLY EXCITED TO GET A NEW STYLE AND A CUT. However, I did not get anything close to the picture I showed to her. I do not want to go back to her because It was a special occasion for me for getting a new style/cut and she ruined that... Can I get my money back? How I should approach her ?
Her name was Constance and before her there was Amanda who did not get a right color for my hair...

Sincerely

S.B.

Cost Cutters in Fox Lake, IL is dirty and unprofessional. There was hair all over the floor, counters and the chair that I was asked to sit in. The manager, (very trashy looking) Wanda cut my hair in about 5 minutes and left it too short and completely uneven. Never go to Cost Cutters!

I received the worst cut ever from the manager, Wanda, at the Fox Lake Cost Cutters . She took a total of 6 minutes to cut my hair. I left with uneven layers and had to go somewhere else to have it fixed. I do not recomend this place to anyone!

To the Stylist in Chanhassen, Minnesota,
I agree with your agrument in regards to the Cost Cutters stylist, co-workers. I was employed there and that is the way these owners and managers run and want. Fast service, in and out but get a W/C/B, or a color special? Does that sound contradicting? Absolutely yes! I was On the Color List and number#1 product seller numerous times. I gave my heart and soul to thie place for the 8 months that I was there and last February 15th, 2013 they fired me. why? i asked myself and them for 2 days until I had gone through the events of the the time I showed up at work for a morning meeting to punching in early for added help through a busy time. My schedule that day was 2-8pm. After our meeting I punched in and did 3 men's h/c's, rebooked them again and sold products to. I punched out and went ot the bank for Cost Cutters to pick up the deposit slip and make change for the cash register, returned and stapled the proper paperwork to the nights prior cc nightly deposit slip for John Konkis' rfeview and initial. I head to Panera Bread which is located in the same building as Cost Cutters in NBPT, Ma. I order lunch, sit down, turn my PC on and work on that when one of my clients came into Panera Bread and wanted to make an appointment for the next day for a color. Of course, I go next door and we make a color appt., reason being why she came to find me, which she always has since I've worked at Cost Cutters, is because of fear from the Manger Mellissa Mace. When my client showed up for an appt. in August of 2012, Mellissa and my client "Erica" were face to face and Mellissa getting very distrubed that she is there and faces her and starts in a heavy, unrelated salon matter discomforting other clients in the salon, conversation with my client, making her uncomfortable and myself concerned about what was going on. Ever since then, we booked around Mellissa's schedule but with all the hiring and firing of numerous employees didn't always go as a set schedule for us Hairstylists, so we had to accommadate our schedules, importantly as well our clients. And if Erica was scheduled in for a time and Mellissa Mace was was on clock with me, it made Erica uncomfortable. Its unfortunate that it had to go this far as I was fired because Erica wanted to schedule and appt for Sat Feb 16 and she came into Panera so we could comfortably go next door to Cost Cutters and make an appt. But Maria DeSalvatore, District Manager of Cost Cutters, NE of Boston area thought it was some kind of, 'she can tell you' (Maria that is), deal. If that's the case I'm shocked! Stunned! I am and was an extremely dedicated employee wirh great respect for Cost Cutters. But you sometimes have to look at the source, who's running these CC's? the owner well he wasn't women friendly just like user friendly on your computer. So he took his always looking for an argument attitude and to say it nicely "[censored] canned with me with not a feeling in his mind because he threatened to call the POLICE on me. Can you believe or even comprehend any of this. Just think I just started putting some pieces together and this is the lame excuse to get rid of the stylist "that was holding Newburyport together" and I quote from that morning meeting. So here I am complaining on a Cost Cutters Complaint Page, that's sad because I was on hold on the Corporate line for many times 40+mins at a time with no call back after leaving a mesage to have someone return my call due to it being a complaint. So they really take Cost Cutters serious?

so she goes in and the lady says there is nothing i can do i will give ur money back.she ask the girl that has cut it before and she looked from the back of the store and said she couldn't do anything mom said i am not happy about this at all.she sat there a min.and said ok i will take the money back and they told her not to come back if she wasn't happy in which i am sure she won't anyway.they told her the back center od your head doesn't grow hair .
MOST RIDICULOUS THING I EVER HEARD ! ANY WAY SHE GAVE MOM MONEY BACK, MOM SAID U GAVE ME $12.73 AND U CHARGED ME $15.55.YES .U ARE NOT GETTING THE TIP BACK.OH REALLY ! WHO DO I GO TO REPORT THIS PEOPLE SHE SAID MOM WAS RUDE .BUT I CAN SEE WHY BELIEVE ME!
SERVER # 8 & JEANETTE WERE VERY RUDE TO MY MOM. NO RESPECT FOR OLDER PEOPLE AT ALL.

I went to the Plover CC and got a bad haircut. It was someone new but was checked by another worker who could've corrected the mistakes or some of them . I will never go back there again and will tells others about my experience. There was a chunk of hair cut out by my ear, one side was longer than the other and the neckline was choppy and uneven. $15 plus tip was overpriced as I could've gotten anyone from the street to do a better job. I put a string around head to show how uneven and choppy neckline was. It was worse than photo shows,

Cost Cutters poor customer service

They run a promotion; Buy 9 Haircuts Get the 10th Free. I went to the Cost Cutters on Pineville Matthews Road in Charlotte to get my free haircut. I made the mistake of presenting the discount card first to Richard the manager and this certainly reflected in the quality of my haircut. Little effort was made and I walked out with one of the worst haircuts in a long time. Two days later I needed to go to a competitor to get a new haircut. I'll never return to this particuliar Cost Cutter again.

I am very mad at the way I was treated in your store at the Wal Mart in Muscle Shoals Al. I have been using the same and only girl for about 4 years. She was suppose to be in at 12 so I was at the store at 11:30. She was running late but I chose to wait on her because as far as I am concern she is the best at this store for my hair. When she got in I wanted a pern. She started and got my hair rooled up. Then You Mgr. came or to her station and TOLD me one of the other girls would finish me up. I did not want this. I wanted Ginger to give me my perm. The Mgr. took Ginger into the office and I assume that she was let go. This is none of my concern as to how you work with your employees but it is my concern when I do not get what I wanted and paid my money for it. The Mgr. made the choise for me and I was not at all satisfied with my perm because the girl that I have used and knows how I like my hair was pulled off the job. I was always lead to beleive that you finish what you start. Why didn't the Mgr wait until she was finished with me?Or at the start of her shift? Or at the end of her shift? No, she did it as Ginger was working on me. I was embarrested for Ginger and I myself was up set. This was totally wrong and if this is the way you train your Mgr. you are wrong. I have used Cost Cutters ever since it started in our Wal Mart but what I went through today was something else. To have someone pulled off my hair and another finish was totally wrong and the way Ginger was done was aq complete screw up.

Cost Cutters bad haircut

I decided to donate my hair and get it layered. The beautician (who I had a problem with before) cut my hair two and a half inches shorter than I told her to and proceeded to cut an extra inch off to "even it up." I specifically asked at the beginning of the appointment that it be cut so that I could put it into a pony tail. Well, guess what? No ponytail for me. She told me that she had cut it so that I could still do things with my hair. What? Brush it? That's all I can do!

This past June, the same woman had styled my hair. She didn't do at all what I had wanted her to, taken an additional two hours to do it, and nearly made me late for my graduation and I was supposed to be earlier since I was the Valedictorian!

When she said my name, I should have turned around and walked out and gone elsewhere, but I gave her a chance.

Cost Cutters should really check into their employees. I realize there are some really great syltists out there, but the ones I've been seeing lately make me wonder if they let anyone with thumbs get a job there.

I also go to the cost cutters in Taylor, Texas. Every single time I go, the manager "Heather" is talking to the girls like they are dumb and even talking bad about them to costumers! She is a true monster. I will never come back

Perhaps the next time you go in do not let that stylist cut your hair. The first time was on her, the other times it was on you.
