These guys are evil. They change their contract terms whenever they want and they make it VERY hard or cost a lot of money to get a domain transfer from them. DO NOT HOST there. There's a ton of provider out there, we have more than 200 websites by now and it is always painful to deal with them. They lie about their prices and try to scam you. It is impossible to contact them, no phone number, no addresses. Coolcom web and domain hosting ar the worst I have been fighting against.

This company is a joke. I reached out for support and they said they were being 'harassed'
Go elsewhere.

I have to disagree. I moved to Coolcom from Godaddy and have never been happier. When I read the issues above all I see is unhappiness with how systems work. The only time I could not log in I used the "I can't log in" page and got in the same day. And I get my renewal notices because I make sure the address I have listed with them is current. That's how you get the login back too, by making sure the address they have is working before there is trouble. Plus Godaddy made me wait 5 days to move too, they said it was in the rules, I checked and it was. And they have a line I have called twice, unlike Godaddy who simply tried to sell me more space, the guy told me how to clear my inbox. None of the above applied to me at all but then I take the time to make sure all my accounts (not just the one here) have info that is up to date. I'll take Coolcom any day, they are canadian, they employ canadians and they don't fire me off to a binder kid when i call, that's not answering a phone that's selling me out. I may be older than most users but then maybe that makes me more subject too.

Terrible registrar. They do not assist

Their phone number is answered only by voicemail and messages are not returned. Their "support department" cannot be reached without logging in. If you attempt to fax their form to establish access to your account you will find their fax number is not in service. Google lists this business as permanently closed and the last two locations of this business were in residential townhouses. All indications point to a home based business / one man show.

Registration details for domains are hidden. No whois information can be accessed. No ability to transfer your domain without logging in. No ability to modify your nameservers. No intelligent life! BUT they will charge you $50 for a $10 renewal if you cannot access your account... No conflict of interest there right?

To true! These guys are bottom of the barrel. I moved my site from them but they still had my registration. They sent the renewal notice to the wrong address and it ran out. Now I'm still trying to get them to return my call so that I can get it set up again.

I have had a similar negative experience. Their support guys will actually cynically insult you and infer you are "cheap" when you want to change hosting, and they took five days to move a domain (unless I paid them an extra $10). Awful customer service from a site that seems to be run out of someones back bedroom. Suggest users find another host. BG

For some reason when I try to login with Coolcom my credentials don't work so i.e. my stored username and password don't work, and when I try to retrieve them that doesn't work either, so I have to do an emergency renewal which of course costs more. They are impossible to get a hold of, and this makes it very frustrating. I will look at gong through the expense of transferring my domain as I suspect it may be worth it
