Old heat pump a/c unit installed in new home
Our home was built in May 2004 and a RUUD heat pump system was installed. In January 2016, the blower motor went bad and had to be replaced. I contacted RUUD for warranty service and was informed that the serial number of the Air Handler unit showed that it was manufactured in 1999, and the Heat Pump was manufactured in 1998 - both out of warranty, since they were already over five years old when installed. Discovering that Contempri Homes installed old units in my home, I initially wrote to them in February 2016, requesting that they replace the system with a new one. After two more letters, as well as eight telephone calls* to their representative John Perry, they have given no indication of addressing the issue, nor have I received a reply with any offer to resolve the problem.

I have many issues in the house
Bought a home from them in 2011, wish I would have reviewed them first. Local Builder they use turned out to be a hack. I have many issues in the house still. When I called them about their responsibility to do repairs I get the "Thats out of warranty". Don't know how these guys sleep at night. Please do your homework before buying from anyone, and learn from my mistake.
