Consumer Trust Financial - Unauthorized charges from checking!
    United States

I received a notice from my bank that I was overdrawn and went on to my online banking and found a charge for $149.00 I never authorized anyone to take money out of my account electronically. Now my checking account is overdrawn by $200.00. I am going to my bank, but I doubt if anything will happen.

Consumer Trust Financial - Unauthorized charge!
    Consumer Trust Financial
    United States

I applied for a payday loan online and was denied. The next day my checking was over drawn $149. I never authorized this transaction. My bank, Bank Of America, was very helpful. They put a stop payment for Consumer Trust, even though it went thru so they couldn't do it again. They didn't charge me for the fee. Then I filed a dispute and in about 7 days I was refunded and credited for the bad check fee. If this happens to you. Call your bank and put a stop payment on the charge. If it's still pending you have a good chance of getting this stopped, and hopefully your bank will waive the fee.

I was checking my online banking one day and saw that $149.00 had been taken out,but I had nothing.. So I called these people and they said I would have to send in a written statement requesting a refund which I did,but never heard anything, so I contacted my bank about this. They were excellent and did deposit the $149.00 back into my account.. But then consumer trust continues to take out 2 different charges the first one is 58.93 and the second one is 49.95 and they want stop.. And there going to get in trouble for this, because they have been told to stop and this is now being considered as unauthorized charges. They were plainly told to cancel anything that had my name or my spouse's name on it and to this day there still trying to take money out of my account. So BEWARE!!! Stay away from people like this! Things like this is what will keep you overdrawn at your bank..

This company is the biggest scam! I did to find a charge for 149.00 on my online statement 2 weeks ago. I did not authorize this charge. I filled fraudulent charges with my bank, they investigated it, and refunded me the money. I also closed that account, so that they would not charge my bank again. NOW, they are calling me everyday, threatening me asking about my next payment. I think NOT! Now, they have no way of getting my acct info. Be very careful when applying for payday loans online. That is how they get your information. I have called the payday companies that I have dealt with in the past, and they said they were not affiliated with CTC. They do need to be investigated and shut down!!

The same thing just happened to me on 11/06/07... the office hours that they give you are from 10 to 6:30 pm.. nice hours for someone who works there... They'll tell you what they told me that someone called the number and you now have a credit card with them and its their one time membership fee... As of yesterday I was unable to reach an understanding with them... hope you have better luck!

This company took $149.00 out of my account and I did not authorize it. I called them and was on hold for about an hour. They make you flip through burning hoops to get your money back. It has been over a month and I still have not received my refund. This stupid company even had the nerve to send me there credit card after I told them to cancel out this unauthorized account.

I have had the same thing happen to me after filling out a pay day advance and paying it off. I don't understand how they got my info when I didn't received an e-mail or anything? I have called my bank and they will credit me back . Thats what they say, but we'll see. This company needs to go down for causing so much trouble for so many people.

Consumer Trust Financial - Unauthorized debit!
    United States

I checked my account the other day, and I saw that there was a $149.00 debit. I did not authorize this deduction, and I am going to get to the bottom of this. I expect to get a reimbursement from the company, or I will hire an attorney.

I called my bank and will file the forms that i needed to disputing the money this company took, its the second time. The 1st time i had to close my account so now they do it again. I cant keep closing accounts, why cant we all somehow get with each other, i mean i write to each other and file a class action suit against these people for fraud and theft. Can we do that, sue them even if we are in different states? Lets do it, anyone that wants to let me know...

I had received an email from Consumer Trust Financial saying that "funds would be debited from my account..." after applying on line for a payday loan. I hadn't heard of Consumer Trust Financial, and certainly did not give this company any of my banking information! There was a number listed in the email to call if I wanted to cancel before funds were withdrawn, so I did, and received a cancellation confirmation number. Two weeks later, the money STILL was taken from my account! That was when I investigated who they were and how they got my information and why they were able to access my checking account?! I called Consumer Trust Financial and was on hold for 1 hour, then spoke to "Alan", who told me there had been a "glitch" in their system, and noted that I DID in fact cancel and the funds should NOT have been taken. He told me they would be calling me back the next day... that was last week, so far, no call, still no $$, still overdrawn!! And getting madder by the minute! I have contacted my bank, and told them all I know of this scam, and now am waiting for the bank, or someone to get back to me and refund my money AND the 200.00 in overdraft fees. Are the payday loan companies giving out our banking information?? Are they someway related to this SCAM?? I WANT TO KNOW!!

I received an unauthorized charge on my credit card yesterday for $149.00. My Bank has given me a toll free phone number to call and I can't get through. My Bank will dispute this for me but was told can take 10 business days.
