Conn's Home Plus harassment

I had extra money and decided to finally pay off my account in full. I was on the phone with a specialist and she was giving advice what to do, and after that she had to close my account, which was never done!
Since then I have been getting tons of email and calls saying I had to pay money. Their customer service doesn't help me, they only send their apologies and do nothing. Please stop this!

Conn's Home Plus sales of refrigerator & improper installation

Purchased LG side by side refrigerator 07/20/17; delivered 07/22/17
I measured sides at store (it will fit). Unbeknownst to me (& salesmen) there was a 'hidden' 13" plate & wire housing on the TOP of refrigerator at the back edge (increasing height 1/2") - at the time of installation, I am totally unaware of this additional 1/2" plate on top. Installers simply SHOVE the electrical wire under the door of my overhead cabinet & SHOVE the refrigerator back to the point of almost breaking the electrical wire.
They left my old frig in my driveway, promising to return later that day to pick it up. The driver left QUICKLY & I then noticed there was 8 1/2" space between the back wall & the refrigerator. I called Conns & warehouse 3-4x on Sat & again 4x on Sunday to pick up old refrig & PLEASE push my refrigerator back to the wall!. " Yes" - they say they will have driver do that. Refrigerator is picked up 9:30 pm Sunday - driver did not call, did not knock - he picks up frig & leaves!
Five days later my son pulled out the refrig & we then noticed the silver plate & electrical wiring housing coming from the TOP of the refrigerator, totally preventing it from sliding properly under my cabinets.
The deliverymen NEVER mentioned to me that it did not fit! They purposely & intentionally shoved it in as far as possible & possibly damaged the wiring and SAYING NOTHING TO ME about the misfit.
Now - I'm being forced by Conns to pay a 15% return fee (approx. $147) in order to have this refrigerator returned. And If I want to exchange it, I'll need to pay an additional $80 delivery fee!. Had the salesmen at the store originally inform me about the 1/2" housing HIDDEN on top of the frig, I would have chosen a shorter model (but he didn't even know about it). I guess LG keeps that a secret. The height of the refrigerator is listed, however that is from floor to top of high door hinge, which wouldn't be going under my cabinet. It would have fit fine if the wire housing had not been there.
This plate/wire housing is normally placed on the BACK of refrigerators - NOT ON TOP!
We found nothing in the manual regarding a housing plate on top -
Who goes refrigerator shopping with a ladder to CHECK to see what's HIDDEN on top?
I want the refrigerator picked up at no cost to me.
I've emailed & forwarded pictures of the crimped wire to the store manager, but he informs me Conns store managers are UNABLE to make any customer service decisions -- all done by corp -- pretty sad!
Additionally, this refrigerator was $150 less at 3 other appliance stores, including free delivery. Conns refused to match their price.
There won't be a next time!

Conn's Home Plus refrigerator warranty

My refrigerator broke on Saturday July 15th.. Monday morning i called in a service request. Tuesday, a service guy showed up and said the control board went out and he should have it replaced by friday.. Friday came and i didn't recieve a call so after lunch i called to see what time they would be here.. the lady informed me that it wouldnt be until Wednesday July 26th.. i just called to see if that date was still good and now im being told Thursday the 27th.. when i purchased this warranty, i didnt think I'd have to wait 2 full weeks if something ever went wrong. You would think something as critical as a refrigerator would have top priority and be fixed within days not weeks.. is there any thing you can do about this? Help out in any way? Rush my part? Conn's Home Plus 43" smart tv by tcl

I purchased a smart tv from Conns last Semptember. The T.V. is still under warranty and has not worked for a couple of weeks. I've called the service department several times to only be told they ordered a part for the t.V. know one has ever came out and even looked at the t.V.. I know one thing for sure. I will not be paying another dime to conns until the t.V. is repaired or replaced.

Conn's Home Plus upright freezer

Purchase and paid off still under warranty and call you to service came out did nothing! Call again two weeks later because the same problem and more is happening and there is no sooner date to come besides July 4th with a leaking freezer and it's beeping and the freezer has about $500-$800 worth of food in it! The service rep suggests I just loose my food and file for loss food! What the hell? Conns has to do better? You all charge way to much money for yall products and sends all types of information to extend the product and want fix nor replace it. This makes no sense

i made a purchase about a year ago and lord knows i will never purchase anything else and will advise anyone i come across not to either i got an email saying if i dodnt pay 6 hundred some odds cents by the end of june that my purchase amount will be 1632 dollars i believe for a 700.00 stove that i have been making payments on since june of 2016 my heart hit the floor

Conn's Home Plus samsung washer and dryer defective

a bough a washing and dryer front loader, less than a moth, the washing machine it take at least 3 time to do it job and the dryer take 3 time to completely dry even in it high settings, read the instructions, call the service department they don't have time this moment to come and take look, until the 30th of next month, today is 5/23/17. the appliances are defective since the beginning, now i cant return it because is over 14 days to return, no one told me about this, i have read multiple problems that people had with this product, i am sure that cons know about this defective product but never care to about this, .
call Samsung and i explain all this and i have not receive an answer, i pent close to 3000.00 on this product, my next step will be complain to the BBB and hire a lawyer

Conn's Home Plus purchase and delivery

Conns has been sending me preapproved letters for 2 years. I went in to purchase an appliance after mine qent out and it has been rhe worst experience ever.
#1-first delivery day the appliance had so many nicks and dings to it was unreal. Not only that, the prong on the plug wouldn't plug in the socket
#2-the movers dinged my door, scratched my floor because they swurved rhe appliance around on thr floor without a dolly or quilt. Yes, they sent someone to fix it but it should have never happened!
#3 — after going over my paperwork, I realized conns credit department charged me $100 for running my credit which I was never told until I inquired due to a new law
#4-I was not asked if I had homeowners insurance and did not discover it until I went went back through my contract... They tacked on another $137.50
#5 — 30 days to get your food form processed, but be late with a payment!
*poor customer service. I will never purchase another thing from this store!*

Conn's Home Plus furniture

My name is Sandra my husband, &I bought a freezer, dinette set, computer we put in the order the 1St week in March the salesman delivered the computer to our house but we had to wait a whole month1/2 for the dinette set &freezer then upon the delivery the table was scratch and the delivery driver took a picture of it so did I. But, the table was a demo coming off the floor at the store where we placed our order at he lied and said it was coming from a different state, I tried calling him he hung up I tried calling him back his voicemail was filled the I text him and he never text me back just ignored me but you all have him a big commission I know that. He just got rude and disrespectful we never got any thing off our bill but, reduce the bill because we got our own renters insurance bringing our bill down from $158.00 to $155.00 really wow! I maybe64 yrs old and black not stupid, I have two associates degrees and to Masters degrees and I've worked as a paralegal in a law firm for 8yrs I know my rights don't get it twisted. So, now I am going to speak with the owner on Monday. But, rudeness, poor customer service and liars and you really want me to rate your company on a scale from 0-10

Conn's Home Plus customer service

I purchased a bedroom suit at the greenville sc store on march 18 however the dresser and mirror was not in stock all other furniture was delivered however the dresser was placed on a completely separate loan that bears interest just because it wasnt in stock so im paying extra because your store didnt have the dresser in stock then was told it would be in charlotte for me to pick up by the 28th of march i went to charlotte mind you i live in asheville nc it wasnt there they said the 9th went back to charlotte they told me i needed a pick up slip i drove back to asheville called conns sc they sent me an invoice said that should work went to charlotte again they said no i needed a pick up sheet called conns sc again and asked why i wasnt given one ever they said they printed a new one i would have to pick up in greenville, then drive to charlotte again to pick up my dresser this is three trips to charlotte and two to greenville and still i dont have my dresser im really angry it has been a huge hassle ive taken 3 days off work and waisted at least 100 dollars in gas all for your store not having my dresser in stock i dont think the customer should have to pay for the stores merchandise being on back log! At this point i wouldnt dare purchase another product or reccomend to anyone

Conn's Home Plus my sofa and loveseat I am trying to replace

I have been waiting on a repair for quite sometime. I was advised at the end of March the replacements were no longer available and was told to go to the store at my convenience and choose a new sofa and loveseat to replace what I have.

I went to the Plano store on Friday while I was off work and was there for hours and left very angry - with no sofa. I chose a sofa and loveseat right away and my nice salesman tried to help but could not get the computer to accept the replacement transaction.

Finally, after getting to the bottom of it the newer, well made set that I chose - the loveseat now ships in 3 separate pieces to be combined together at delivery, BUT, therefore having 3 SKU#'s rather than the one - even tho THEY constitutes ONE (1) loveseat. The Salesmen and Customer Service Rep said they have to "exchange 2 pieces for 2 pieces." I am attaching the picture to this email. I don't care if it comes in 50 parts when the deliverymen put it together it is one loveseat - I want this sofa and loveseat. Please make whatever computer entries that need to be made.

I would appreciate a call within today to resolve this matter.

If you notice on the add below it states - "SOFA AND LOVESEAT" it does not say Sofa and 3-piece loveseat.

Conn's Home Plus refrigerator

I purchased a refrigerator 3/20/17. Me and my daughter where tying it down and was told by a associate at the loading dock that he would do it, about 10 miles from the warehouse the twine that was holding the refrigerator down broke and it flew out of the back of the truck. Thank god i was behind it and no one else also we had gotten off the interstate to take a back way. i was told delivery was available for this reason, and there is nothing they can or will do. I told the lady i had food ruining and that is why i picked it up. I am a single parent an cant afford to loose everything i had in the freezer. Also i was told by several people this is not the first instance of this, even though they are not to tie anything down for you. i was given the run around and several stories by many people i spoke with on the phone. i was told to take it back to the warehouse and they would go through the protocol for insurance since i purchased it, then on my way to warehouse they called back and stated to take to the store, after i was already told the store could do nothing . I don;t think any of them knows what they are doing.

Conn's Home Plus accounts receivable

Have purchased at least $35k of merchandise form this store for me and my children and grandchildren. Have never been late.

I overpaid an account that I was paying off by $127.93 and they wouldn't send me my money back, they applied it to other accounts instead. I was pissed but I accepted the ignorance.

I paid all accounts as usual.In december I had a $109.87 balance on my account and paid it. Conn's refunded the payment by check, why I do not know. Someone called me 15 times a day but they never left a message once.

They eventually sent a letter stating that I was past due which I was not. So I paid on time and conn's sent a 30-day late to the credit bureau on me when I paid on time but they refunded the payment.

What should have been done was issue a stop payment of the incorrect check and put my payment I made on time back on my account. Instead, the totally inept personnel reported me to the credit bureau when I was not.

I am going to the store manager. I will file suit if I have to because I am trying buy a house and any late payments will mess up my rate and cost me thousands of dollars and this was conn's error.

I want that late report removed form my credit immediately and an apology for the ineptness of the person who did this and the person who approved it.

Conn's Home Plus washer

I has purchased a washer last year since having the washing it has broke 5 times. for the same reason . Conn's refuse to replace my washer but no one at Conn's wants to help me I have called customer service many times to have my washer replace it's always the same issue the mother board . still Conn's gives me different stoies that it's 4 times before they can replace which it has and now saying as long as they can fix the washer it's ok this past Sunday the washer started smoking I'm glad I was home, please some one help

Conn's Home Plus pillows

We purchase some pillows along with mattress set and a couch when we got home we notice that the pillows $200 worth were not what we purchase and called the store they told us they have a no return policy on bedding even tho they were still in the box and never opened but they would talk with the manager and see if there was something that could be done and call us back when we did not receive a call back I called again and the manager was not in but would relay the message still no response so called back again same response so we called main office and lodge a complaint they told us someone would give us a call back within 2 days well it's been a month and still waiting called store again and got same response no call back from customer service either never again will we deal with them very bad customer service and management, BUT GOOD NAME FOR THE COMPANY CONN'S SEEMS APPROPRIATE

Conn's Home Plus problems with multiple products

I opened an account at Conns about 2 years ago now. I initially purchased a stove and a chest freezer. The freezer has been working fine, but the first time I tried to use the oven it would not come on. I called service, and it was repaired; the digital control panel had to be replaced, but I was without an oven for over a week. More importantly, I feel I have paid brand new price for what is now, essentially, a refurbished stove. Still, I figure, things happen, they fixed it, no big deal. Total 2 service calls to complete the repair.

Later I purchased a computer. Again, no problems.

Later still, I purchased a washer / dryer set and a 55 inch television. Within a few days the dryer door does not shut. Again, service is called and a new door is ordered. I am without a dryer for a week or so and again, I feel I am paying new price for a refurbished product. Again, two service calls to complete the repair. Still not a great deal.

Finally, the straw that broke the camels back, as the saying goes, my 5 month old, 1000.00 television has power supply issues. Either it doesn't come on at all, or comes on by itself and will not go off. Again, service is called. First trip he gets the serial number and orders parts. A few days later, he arrives to do the repair, but has the wrong parts and has to drive about 100 mile round trip to get the right ones. He changes out the parts he has and they blow, and other parts blow along with them. Now he has to reorder more parts, and make a third trip to replace a very substantial amount of parts in my brand new television. Now I've got a refurbished television I paid new priced for.

I contacted Conns' service department and expressed my concern that I am paying full price for what is essentially now refurbished items and that to resolve the item they should either replace these items with new ones with new warranties or discount the items to what a refurbished items would cost, say 30% or so. I was told that only the manufacturer of the products could make that call. I rebutted that by saying that surely Conn's doesn't need the manufacturer's approval to keep customers satisfied. I was assured that they do. To add insult to injury, I was offered a credit of $100.00 as compensation for my inconvenience and for having to pay for refurbished products.

Conn's is really big about promising top quality products and unparalleled customer service. Is there anyone there brave enough to carry through on those promises?

Conn's Home Plus billing services

I had 3 accounts with Conns and just recently found out that my accounts were all mixed up and payments that I was giving were not properly applied which caused one of my accounts to become delinquent and my credit score dropped because of it. The accounts were apparently fixed and applied and I was told my credit would be fixed with Conn's and with the credit bureau's and they were not. I go back to Conn's to purchase a TV because after 3 years my other TV also purchased at Conn's blew out, and they tell me I have credit approved but I have to give a down payment (which I never had to do before). for all the trouble I was put thru I should of not had to put a down payment or no interest for 1 year or a payment at least till January. On top of that they apply my new purchase account to one of my existing accounts and made it due on December, and that account didn't have a payment due till Feb 2017 because of all the payments that were not applied to begin with. what I want is a refund of my down payment, no interest for a year and the two accounts to be separated with the old one going back to being due in February. I think this is only fair for the mess you all put me in, for the years I have been with you all and the accounts I have kept up to date.

Conn's Home Plus yes money

Also be sure to check out their minds little locations because every story has diferent merchandise and I agree with Jared it's an Awesome little loop hole it does not effect your credit their are other companies and businesses that provide similar offers but nothing can compete with Conn's they found out a loop hole with tax ride offs I'm Nevada because state tax does not apply so that ts even more the profit. I feel he horrible for the people who actually pay their monthly payments . Some of Conn's employees will tell you the deal but upper management treats their customers by the book but ask around you will find the right employee to do go through because they all make commission so they keep you it upfront and give you the get up unlike their management who are all bitter because they are stuck on salary ... corporate robots

Conn's Home Plus yes money

My brother in law had told me about ab awesome way to get money that won't effect your credit if you don't follow up with your monthly payments and even if f your credit isn't that great your still eligible from r up to 5, 000$ within that day . I thought I was being scammed by him when he had told me but it is totally solid 100℅ so I gave it a shot I found hired m credit is horrible anyway might as well try so I got my yes money quote online and even with a credit score of 625 I was eligible for 3500 so I went to the nearest store bought couches a new 3d TV Samsung smart 3d TV that is and at that time the i phone 5 s just dropped so I got me and my wife one and to the this day I refered my best friends lil sis her husband my old co worker and my mom and none of them paid except mom of course but screw their interest rate but anyways no one paid including myself and for over three years nothing popped up on my credit and I was shocked and so I investigated . Conn's gets overstock of companies they are contracts with such as apple Samsung and Sony and they profit off their trash basically and both of the companies get major company and business development tax ride offs and also their employees make a huge commission of every business transaction. So try this out but remember you can you only do this but once unless of course you pay that full retail price in monthly payments on top of that insane interest and is included . Don't believe me see for yourself

Conn's Home Plus frigidaire upright freezer

Bought this freezer new May 15 with Conns Extended service plan. Did not place it in service to the end of July. It would not work. Called into the service center and they could not schedule a date for service for 2 weeks out. The day that they were to get here they called to say that they only had one service tech in Oklahoma and he was out that day. They could not and would not give me a date when they could come back. They finally got me someone out 2 days later, he spent two minute here and said he would have to order parts. Parts came in and the scheduled another time, 10 days later. The tech came out with the new parts and replaced them. They were the wrong parts, and now I have to have basically the entire working parts replaced on the freezer. Called Conns, keep getting a call center, no one has a manager I can talk to. I bought a junk freezer from the start and a very expensive service plan that isn't worth the paper it is written on. They will call the manufacture for me, and will not allow me to bring the POS back to the store.

Bottom line, here I sit with a useless freezer that I cannot use, do not really know if they have correctly diagnosed the issues correctly now. Do not really want to talk to another rude individuals at a customer call that center. Those folks wouldn't know customer service if it slapped them over the head.

Mean time, I have paid payments on a useless freezer, and no one at Conn's seems to care.

Very Dissapointed
I can see now the extended warranty is a problem.
I purchased a LG Side by Side refrigerator in June of 2016 and the other night it flatlined. I called as instructed and also put in service request online. The appointment is 2 weeks away and I do not understand how CONN's can offer a product that they can not service. This is like stealing. Look up how much the CEO make sure for this company unbelievable.
I imagine he isn't going without a broken TV, washer dryer, bed or refrigerator. I work hard and have a roof over my head just when my job asks me a question or I need to do something I ask how high and I follow through and I don't make near what Norman Miller makes.
