Either I or may Bank made a mistake, and sent my mortgage payment of 774.52 to Comed, and my $48 electic payment to the mortgage company. So all I asked was Comed to give me bakc the money that was mistakenly sent to them. This happen on 2/13/2009. Comed was notified on 2/20/2009 when I found out from my mortgage company about the error. As of today 3/17/2009 Comed has not returned the money I no consider it stolen. I have been on the phone with them several times. After hours of being on hold, I am told I have to prove it was a ligimate mistake. I faxed the infomation they requested on 2/20/2009. Next I am told I have to end my budget rate plan, and pay everthing build up, even though the orginal bills was $48.00, and I have never been late with my Comed Bill. The budget plan is suppossed to keep rate at the same rate though out the year, so some times I owe them, sometimes they owe me, in the end it balances out. I end that plan like they requested a bout a week after the first call. Next I am told they will not issue a refund (It's not a refund, it's money they stole) untill 30 days after the end of the budget plan. I have tried to talk to supervisors, they are never there, I have ask for call backs I never get. I got one voice mail saying the same thing as everone else. How is this legal? One I told them it was an error, they should have sent the money back immediately. If they had sent me $726 dollars that wasn't mine, I would be in ail by now. I they were any other company I would have told them to go to hell and never ever use their service again. But because there it no other electric company, I am stuck. This company's officers should be in jail.

There is a ComEd automobile that has been parking in our lot for most of several days per week. It is not a resident's car as it does not have a resident sticker on it. He is here at least 3 to 4 days per week.

We would like you to look into this because if he's supposed to be working, he's not.

In November ComEd sent me a bill 1000% higher than my normal bill and they claimed that it was because they put a new meter in my apartment in August. So while normally I paid $20 for my bill, this was now $200. All of their representatives swore that that I had used 1500 KWh of electricity (impossible for a 500 sq foot apartment and for 31 days) and ultimately I was able to explain their own faulty billing system to them and concluded that they had used an actual balance minus a understated estimated balance to calculate my usage. I demanded that they told me my actual meter balance for October since they had the new meters but they said they had no way of knowing. So we agreed that we would skip November and take the december usage and apply that same usage to November's, effectively doubling my december bill. Now I got my december bill and that 200 previous balance was not adjusted to what was agreed. Their logic was that they are within their rights to adjust all of the bills I had already paid since august to take in the new meter readings. They essentially took that 1500 usage and spread it across those 3 months even though technically they were unable to give me the balance back in November. On top of that my normal bill went from $20 to $80 which im not happy about but im not fighting either. My case is that if they had actual readings in August, then I should've paid the bills correctly then and it's not fair to backcharge me for their faulty meters after the bill was paid. The worst part is that they gave me the actual balance for August and the usage still does not come close to the 285 dollars they claim I owe.

I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR A REFUND ON AN ACCOUNT THAT WAS CLOSED IN 2008.

IT IS NOW SEPTEMBER 2009 AND TO THIS DATE STILL WAITING FOR REFUND.

WISH THERE WAS ANOTHER ELECTRIC COMPANY BUT UNFORTUNATELY WE DON'T HAVE ONE IN ILLINOIS.

If this was Comed sending a bill for $10.00 rather than $100.00 they will for sure make you pay it right away, no questions asked. They are good for bullying customers all the time. They do have a monopoly in placed supported by state and local government. What a shame!
