hi, my name is john kennedy, i reside at 21 sextant circle quincy mass 02169 cell781 267 6979 ihad purchased a pair of colombia boots and within a month the seams seperated, on the 27 th of dec, i went to exchange the boots but had lost my receipt, i also bought insurance on the product, all my info was taken at the time of puchae and i was put off when i was told by the manager of the store stated, there is nothing i can do, not even a store credit, i spent about 115 $ on product and insurance, at this point i became quite disturbed, i have an anxiety issue, that prompted the following, i, at the time all reason had left me, exchanged the boots myself, without regaurd to consequences, now im a theif, not by choice, if i was given the consideration and respect, when i informed the so called manager of my problem, i know things wouldnt have escalated into the incident it became, i am sorry for this but when i pay money for a quality product and it fails, i am entitled to due compensation, now, not only do i have a pair of boots that leak, i have criminal charges pending against me, i am willing to accept the consequences by law, but i am not willing to be beat out of a 115$ but someone not willing to do their job, when customer service fails, expecially when i buy, or used to buy all my foot wear there, i feel like ive been ripped off, and hope that there is someone in your company to help resolve this issue,

I just got $140 XTM boots. Just got them. It snowed today and my damn foot is soaked from inside the boot, I am pissed. I have wanted these for 2 years.

I have had the same problem. I took my boots into a shoe repair place. He said they can't repair them. He also told me that he has seen this happening for the last few years as a way to keep customers coming back, kind of a planned obsolescence. I just left a remark with Columbia on their site. I suspect I 'll be told they're sorry and they might even offer some stupid thing. But unless they are willing to repair the boot Doesn't interest me. I 'm very disappointed with Columbia I will not purchase no more products. going to find some other company to buy these type of products through. It sounds like there are many other people out there who have found themselves in this same predicament with Columbia hopefully people will start speaking up.
