Color C-Lector / did not receive order in a timley fashion
I helped my dad ( my dad is not computer savvy) purchase a Spkie IT Color-C-Lector from the site anglersupply.com which is owned by the company Fish Click. Fish Click also has a website FishClick.com.
First of all this purchase was made on July, 27 2008. My Father did not receive his order until Feburary 17, 2009. After Calling several times, which by the way when you have to go through a bunch of steps on the automated system to get to customer service, you finally reach it and an answering machine picks up and you have to leave a message for someone to call you back. The no one calls you back or answers your emails for that matter for weeks or even up to a month. Then they tell you that the order will becoming soon. We reported them to the BBB.
Another issue is that when you check the status online it doesn't even give you any information as to what is going on with your order.
When you put the tracking number in it just says that the item has been orderd. After calling for months and reinstating or claim again to the BBB, It seemed that they had updated their phone system because right before Christmas when I called I finally got to speak to a person. Either that or they just felt like answering the phone that day instead of letting the voicemail pick it up. Anyway, when I told customer service what had happened the guy I was talking to didn't even know about the order. I told him we had been waiting since July and he started to freak out! He put me on hold and then when he got back on the phone he said that if my dad didn't receive the C-Lector after Christmas then He should call and just ask for a refund. What kind of company tells the customer to ask for a refund? Don't they usually want to sell stuff? Even though my Dad was very angry he said that he would wait for it because he really wanted this product.
After Christmas came and we still did not receive the product so I called on Jan. 5 and was told that it would come with in the next couple of weeks. Then When Feb 2nd came I received an email from the company stating that it had been shipped. Then I could finally track it. And it was delivered on Feb. 17, 2009. What a hassle to go through. We know that if we didn't report this to the BBB that we probably wouldn't have even got anything and they would have just taken our money. So I just wanted to post this to save anyone who wants to shop on these sites the hassle of going through everything we did because the next person that does shop here online will probably end up being scammed and loose their money.
