Colon Xr Charges to credit card

Shame on these people who advertise FREE...just pay shipping. I actually returned a near full bottle as I had a reaction in the specified time frame. I have sent (no kidding) 8 e mails now - they respond with all kinds of responses. The last one being my credit card declined the purchase - I have the American Express bill showing the charge, the reference number, their company name...I think these people should be investigated for fraud and misrepresentation. I will not leave this alone until I get my $78.00 credited.

I ACCEPTED TO RECEIVE A FREE TRIAL OF THE ACAI BERRY PRODUCT COLON XR. THE ONLY THING I HAD TO DO WAS ONLY PAY $5.00 FOR SHIPPING. FOR MY SURPRISE THIS COMPANY CHARGED MY DEBIT CARD $78 WITHOUT MY CONSCENT. I CALLED THE NUMBER THEY LISTED TO TRY CANCELLING THIS RIDICULOUS ORDER AND THE PHONE DOES NOT WORK.

Colon Xr fraudulent billing

I placed a "free" trial order for Colon xR paying only shipping charges of $5.95. I cancelled within the trial period on Jan 7, 2009. At that time, I was told that nothing else had been charged - only the $5.95 on Dec 12, 2008.

On Jan 14th, 2009, I received another shipment along with a charge of $84.79. The invoice was dated Jan 3, 2009, but the ship date was Jan 8, 2009. Immediately called the customer "service" number [protected]). The man I spoke with told me that the order had already been processed on Jan 6, 2003, and that the cancellation had not processed in time to halt it. (Funny how the charge date was the 3rd, huh?)

He then told me that he had filed a "request for refund" on my order. When I asked to speak with the refund department manager, he first told me that they only converse in email. When I insisted, he gave me the "refund and fraud department" number [protected]). I asked him who I should speak with and he said to ask for the team leader. Go ahead and try calling it. It is an answering machine and fax line. I left three messages.

I called the first number again (several times) as well as the number on my invoice [protected]) until I again reached a human. Fortunately, he was new to the scam game. He told me that the customer service number was only a support number and that there was no refund and fraud department. I said, "So the last person lied to me?" He replied, "Yes" - first honest answer I got today!

I persisted in the conversation - with about three holds - until I received a refund confirmation number. Who knows whether that was the truth. I WILL be checking my billing statement this week!

Re: Colon xR

In regards to the above, the exact same thing has happened to me! Right to a "T"! Even the dates ...rec'd trial bottle, rec'd a 2nd bottle & returned unopened and request cancellation & refund (still within the trial period). They billed my credit card and I have still not received a credit. They are now requesting a copy of my c.c. bank. stmt. showing the charge.
I, too, persisted! This company needs to be shutdown!

Colon Xr Misleading

Ditto to the above complaint. Don't sign up for any "free" offer unless you read every word! I ordered Colon XR for the free sample. I contacted them via website (as directed) to cancel my order. It took them 5 days to before I received a response that the website was not available...by then they had charged my credit card for $78.85 not once but twice! In addition, I signed up for Acai A Slim the same day. Similar situation, but I was able to have the charge removed from my credit. I didn't realize until today that I was also charged a fee for an online fitness website...didn't order, don't want...I called and was told it was in the "fine print" that I was to cancel within 5 days or would be charged for this offer...READ THE FINE PRINT! Lesson learned.

Colon Xr Scam..RipOff

Like a fool I ordered the Colon XR free trial offer for $5.95 s/h from the weather site on AOL and because of the recommendation of Ophra thought it was kosher. I tried to call the number [protected] to cancel and kept getting a recording saying that all reps were busy and to call back. I did call another number for Total Cleanse and cancelled but lady would not give me a confirmation number and said it would be e-mailed to me in 24/48 hours but never came. It has been 13 days since I ordered and no product yet but my credit card was charged on the 5th of Dec. I cancelled my credit card and have been trying to call the number again with no results. I clicked on the Terms and Conditions link and got an error message. Tried the live chat and only got an e-mail with more links that don't work. This is a Scam to get your money and Ophra should be sued for letting them use her name.

Ordered a trial period for 5.95 there was a 1.00 hold on my account for about 2 weeks. Then the 5.95 appeared. Wasn't told or sent any invoices that a 78.84 cent charge would be debited from my checking account. I called and asked to speak to a supervisor and Jeff the customer service rep. hung up on me. Tried both numbers from my home, and had problems connecting to these numbers right away, was getting a fast busy. Had to keep calling. This is illegal!

i ordered the free trial ( just pay shipping) of Colon xR. about a month to 45 days later i get a second bottle and statement that i was charged $78.84.Turns out on second page of ( FREE ? OFFER ) THERE IS A STATEMENT THAT IF YOU DON'T RESPOND IN --? DAYS YOU WILL AUTOMATICLY BE SIGNED UP FOR MONTHLY SHIPMENTS. i COULD NEVER GET A 'LIVE' PERSON ON THE PHONE BUT DID on the web get a live chat. they said could not and would not refund nor give credit on this because my order automatically went in because I DIDDN"T call and cancel.after an hour of talking trying to explain that i didn't place an order, i hung up and called my bank. the charge hadn't went thru yet so i canceled the card that i used. this is a major rip off, even IF the product works the way the company goes about the 'free offer' stinks. PEOPLE LOOK OUT AND DON'T ORDER !

On 02/24/09 I ordered Colon XR and Acai Berry Supreme. Both offered a "Free Trial" that could be cancelled within 15 days of shipment date. I received my email notifications from both companies that included order numbers and customer numbers. I received my orders on the 26th and 27th.

On 03/03/09 I called Colon XR to cancel my "Free Trial". I was told that there was no record of my order. I was told my order number and customer numbers were not valid. I argued with the girl for 30 minutes -- I was looking at my email the company had sent me and it was ludicrous for her tell me it did not exist. The conversation (argument) ended with me clearly stating that I will file a fraud claim if my credit card is charged. She said that she would watch the account (funny there was no account to watch according to her) and she would make sure there were no charges and she would send me an email confirming my cancellation.

I then called Acai Berry. I was prepared to go through the whole experience again, but was surprised that I was immediately told my trial was cancelled and then received an email confirming the cancellation.

Yesterday, 03/10/09 I tried calling Colon XR again since I still had not received an email with the cancellation confirmation. After many minutes on hold- a voice came on the line and said they were not accepting calls at the moment and I need to call back. At first it sounded like a recording, but then I realized it was a live voice. I asked about following up on a cancellation and was told she could not help me.

This morning I went to online to look at my checking account. There is a pending charge for $78.64 for Colon XR! I called the company and went through the story of my first and second attempts to cancel. The girl kept saying the same thing over and over.."I'm sorry mam but our records show this is your first call. We will cancel your order but we cannot refund your money." I flipped out! I threatened to file a fraud case..so then her answer was..."I'm sorry mam but our records show this is your first call. We will cancel your order but we can only refund 50% of your money." I kept demanding to speak to a supervisor and each time she would say "hello?, hello?" as if she couldn't hear me.

I was livid at this point and told her I was calling my bank, police, and anyone else who would listen about this scam! She then said..."I'm sorry mam but our records show this is your first call. We will cancel your order but we can only refund 70% of your money." I went ballistic. I told her if one dime came out of my account there would legal action. At this point she offered a 100% refund that would take 7 - 10 days. I told her NO money better come out of my account. Period.

An address given to me from a live chat with the company:
Edryll-PH: Our address is 1630 NW 82nd Ave, Miami, FL,
Edryll-PH: 33126

I also fell into this mess. I ordered a free 30 day trial of the Colon XR for my husband. It wasn't free! My mistake was not reading the fine print. Since I didn't return the product in 14 days they charged my credit card $78.00. The good new is they did refund my money. I called1-[protected] to cancel the membership and ask for a refund. I had to argue with the customer service rep but it all worked out.

Not sure if this is the correct address or phone number, Very hard to track these folks done once they start fraudulently hitting up your back account with charges not authorized. My guess is they get as much as possible before you are forced to close your account. BEWARE and make a complaint to the State Attorney's Consumer Fraud Division. The more complaints made, the more they will be forced to investigate and possibly shut them down.

Specific instructions to cancel any further debits/shipments and return of original product to no avail. $78.84 has been deducted from our account and telephone calls are unanswered. Our money is tight and the debit to our account created havoc in our budget. We are concerned this debiting will continue every month as this company responds to ZERO complaints.

unauthorized charge to my account would not give me a refund even though I had called to cancel the order. The customer service people were totally uncooperative stating they had never talked to me but I have phone records proving I called them within one week of receiving the product.
This is the last time I order anything on the internet.

Ordered free trial of Colon rX. Subsequently charged $76 for my 'free trial'. Unable to contact via web address provided in my trial order receipt but did get through by phone. I was disconnected just at 2 minutes about 15 times. I finally reached a 'live' person who couldn't hear me, nor could they locate any record of my order and insisted I had called the wrong number and/or company. This company is a scam. BEWARE! The real trick is how to stop them from continuing to charge your credit card.

Colon Xr Refunds and Customer Service

Got thru to Colon XR the companies name is Global Net Pharmacy. The customer service dept is in the Phillippines. To return items for a refund, can be sent to 127 N.W. 13th St. Suite #4, Boca Raton, FL 33432. She stated that there will be a 30% restocking fee and that someone from that department will call me back. I canceled my subscription, but I do think this company is unethical. Their number is [protected]. You should dial it a number of times before you get thru. Don't give up and Good Luck!

I didn't research enough about this product and also Got scammed, By colon Xr They charged my account the 5.95 for the shipping the next day I got a phone call from the representative confirmming the order I confirmed it then they told me they were chargeing me an extra amount of money to send me more stuff I said no and they said they were going to anyways, I told them I just wanted to try the product so that I can see if it works because not everyone is the same she got mad yelled at me and hung up I tried calling back and every time I did the call got cut off within 6 seconds of the call... Needless to say I feel stupid we are watching to see if they put any charges on our accout and we are going to dispute it... The Acai Formulas I have gotten have worked great though!

Do not order this product...please. I did and I'm sorry.

This is just ONE of a few companies online now who offer 14 day free trials for their products. The part they don't make clear is that if you do not CANCEL in that 14 days, you are going to get charged anywhere between $30 and $80 for their product. (Usually for the trial product you rec'd) There is a negative option associated with these products - meaning - if you don't cancel, you agree to the terms.

The hitch comes in when you DO try to cancel. They are impossible (or nearly impossible) to get hold of by phone or internet. You are going to get charged whether you want the product or not.

There are many complaints filed with the Better Business Bureau. Most of these companies have hundreds of complaints and get an "F". If you aren't ABSOLUTELY POSITIVE that you want these products forever, don't order.

If you are like me, however, and got involved with one or more of these companies before it was known they were fraudulent, the thing you must do IMMEDIATELY is call your credit card company or bank (if you used your ATM credit card) and cancel your old card and reissue a new one under a new #. Otherwise you are going to get stuck with future charges. If you have current charges, fraudulent ones on your current card, make a dispute. You will usually get refunded. There is enough information on the web now to prove that you are not the only one having this problem. The companies rarely respond to the disputes and in not doing so, you usually get refunded.

Good luck everybody. I'm anticipating a refund of $79.63 in 10 days.
