Coles Supermarkets Australia fresh mint denture paste made in china

I would suggest someone checks one of these toothpaste tubes. All seems normal, cap unscrews, then nothing. Turns out, about 1/4 inch down the tube there is one of those silver stops, the sort you usually see when you open a juice or other product. Why on earth? Definitely a design fault.
Okay once you realise what the problem is, then get a skewer or even a toothpick and pierce the silver stopper.
Most of the people who wear dentures, are like me, senior citizens. We don't care about the flavour, it is washed off before the dentures go back in where they belong. What we do care about is easy access, as often we have arthritis and especially in our hands.
I would suggest a wider tube would also be a design improvement as what comes out is very narrow. But that could be just my choice.

Coles Supermarkets Australia customer service

I was at Coles Woy Woy Fri 5th Aug approx 5:30. I went to the Deli and asked for some Mortadella to be sliced. The lady at the Deli said to me sorry but one slicer is already cleaned and the one is nearly done so she couldn't. When I looked over at the slicer it was no where near clean as it still had bits of meat all over it. It was clear to me that she just couldn't be bothered. I would give you her name however she didn't have her name badge on. Also why is that a store that closes at 11pm is cleaning both machines to be put away, I myself thought it was a bit early. I'm not usually one to complain but I was rather looking forward to some Mortadella but because of her laziness and I don't care attitude as it was so obvious she just couldn't be bothered I missed out. I should have said more at the time but as I said I don't really like to complain. As far as I'm concerned the machine was out as was the Mortadella still sitting in the window so there was no excuse. What happens to those who work until 5 and can't to the store before 5:30 do they have to miss out because of ones laziness!
Hopefully the next time I go I'll get my Mortadella after all :(

Very rude, young female staff at the checkout counters at Coles in Woy Woy. They spend too much time gossiping about the activities of their weekend with each other, don't pack all of your groceries and are blatantly aggressive to customers. Management needs to train their young female staff in customer service so that they stop transferring their ignorant and schoolgirl behavior towards the public. I have to also agree with the other comments. Woolworths have much friendlier and mature staff so will be shopping only there in the future.

Very rude and unhelpful, mainly at ciggerette counter a lot of the time the staff are having conversations with each other and after 10 minutes I have to interrupt them so I can purchase something, but sometimes I walk away and spend my money elesewhere.
I feel like I have walked into a strangers home and am not welcome there!

Very rude staff in Coles Woy Woy! Especially, Robyn. Acts as if she is the Queen of England instead of showing respect and good manners to customers. Not coming back. I prefer Woolies: the staff there is always friendly and attentive. Maybe Woolworths can run some staff training for Coles.

I am a very loyal coles customer. I shop regularly at my local coles which is: flinders st & wiluna street

On thursday 7th july 2016, I did a quick shop at coles which included my absolute favourite - coles licorice mix 750gm (please see attached photo)
Bar code: [protected] @ $4.00 (please see attached coles receipt for this licorice mix).
My favourite part of the bag are the 100's and 1000's coated licorice which is clearly displayed on the packaging as being part of the licorice mix.
However, in this particular packet, there was absolutely zero of these 100's and 1000's coated licorice.
I am on a permanent disability support pension and money is very tight.
I buy a bag of this licorice mix once a fortnight when I get my pension. this bag has to last me 2 x weeks so you can imagine my disappointment when I opened the bag and found my favourite missing.
I would like to be compensated in the form of a coles credit so I can buy another bag which hopefully will have all of the described licorice mix inside. thank you.

Coles Supermarkets Australia service received at chadstone check out this evening

Tonight whilst doing our weekly shop I received exceptionally poor service from the check out controller named Barbara.
She was extremely rude, unbelievably impatient, and visibly angry. Her packaging was as rough as she could make it.

She clearly has no interest in either the business that she works for, or the customers she served.
We routinely spend in excess of $400 / week in the store, and her service tonight makes me wonder why I shop there at all.

Coles Supermarkets Australia special price tags removed prior to end of special ending

Hello,

I usually shop at Coles and just don't bother looking at the catalogue, however, today I had a chance to sit down and view it. I went to Coles after work, which was on Tuesday, and purchased some frozen boxed meals that were on special. Then later that night I went back to purchase more before the special ended. This is because I know that the next catalogue 'specials' start on Wednesday. When I went back to Coles on Tuesday night I found that the special price tags had been removed. I had to enquire about this and was told that they must have been removed early but the special price was still active.

My concern is that I do shop sometimes on a Tuesday evening and I maybe missing out on specials because staff have removed the price tags early. I don't think that this is fair and reasonable to the shoppers.

I think most customers would agree with me on this complaint.

Coles Beechboro please only remove the price tags when the specials period has ended...that would be greatly appreciated.

Coles Supermarkets Australia service refund

To whom may cornice's
1/8 /16 about 2:15 pm I went to Coles at Redbank Ipswich to refund some pork bun and pork dumpling but the lady in there did not let me, she said that due to the frozen nature of the pork dumplings she couldn't give me a refund. She said the pork buns was soft but she got no experience about products. The buns, after a few minutes, become soft when it defrosts . Why she not complaining about pork dumping its hard like rocks but she didn't refund them! When I got there I waited for service it look me a few minutes and then waited for her to make phone call, another 15 mins, plus my own personal travel time, of course it will become soft!
I work in a food preparation shop, of course I know how important it is if food isn't keep at the right temperature, when I was travelling there, I keep them in a freezer bag and it took me only 5 minutes to drive there.
From what she was saying, those products are not fit for me to purchase, take home and consume! I wanted to return the products because a friend had bought the wrong ones and I didn't like the flavours of those type, my friend didn't know. I understand where she is coming from, but the way she explained, she should have better training to explain issues like this instead of making lame excuses like that! I'm a consumer not an idiot!

Coles Supermarkets Australia my payment not processed

Saturday 16/7/2016. I shopped at the new store for the first time. Payment processed without me pay-passing my card. Store manager explained that they would check their records and call me if the payment did not show on their records. I left my phone number. Happy customer at Coles for years.
What resulted was a barrage of calls, one message accusing me of leaving the store with groceries without paying my bill (I received two voice emails but the store advised that they called at least 8 times in three days) These calls were made by a customer service manager called Rebecca.
I live in a zone without mobile coverage (not near the store) and work long hours during the month of July.
I called the manager on Thursday 21st July and voiced concerns about the treatment I had received. I advised I had intended to make a special trip to the store on Sat 3rd July.
I arrived at the store and found smirking staff ... mostly directed towards a check out operator with a badge Rebecca (not right spelling).
I conducted myself in an honest and fair manner and was treated like a thief. So disappointing. It takes such a lot of marketing to convert a loyal customer and one or two untrained staff to turn them away. Awful experience.

Coles Supermarkets Australia unethical behaviour

I will NEVER shop at your supermarket again. Coles has lost mine and soon other people's customers. I spend between $150-$250 a week and get treated with such disrespect. I moved house and are still moving into my new home and with all the stress and moving I lodt my store receipt on it had my vodafone recharge. I NEVER asked for a recharge I simply asked if they could take my bank card I used and search and give me the shooping receipt because vodafone so kindly was going to recharge me through the store receipt. How easy and is that YES VODAFONE are very helpful and had no problem sorting this out for me. I was in tears and this is not the first time COLES in ENDEAVOUR HILLS has refused a request last time I had a receipt and wanted to change a product and I had to call Head Office to help me. ALL OTHER stores can and have done this for me taken my card and scanned it and it showed up what I had spent and purchased. I was crying and the person who works at Coles showed no care, no patience and NO RESPECT at all and said no she will not do it. My Father Inlaw works for SBC and they will soon air how poorly I have been treated. I have lost money and have shopped at that store for over 15 years no more. I will take my business and money to Woolworhts and Aldi now COLES I will no longer shop at because of such disrespect shown towards me. Imagine moving house and all the work, stress and so much more and to loose your shopping receipt with the recharge attached to it and to get no help how I feel is to much to put into words. This is not acceptable.

You confuse common sense and the word NO with having no brains and being heartless. It is not heartless to tell you NO and it is not having no brains to tell you to keep up with your own property. Please do them a favor, and shop somewhere else. Or better yet, shop online. As for your manager boss, he also has a boss. I want to see this episode air. I also want to see you control where your friends shop.

I agree with you they should of provided you with a copy of your receipt this is lack of respect, support and care for loyal customers. I have also gone through other retailers WOOLWORTHS is one that has provided me with a lost receipt. This is poor on Coles behalf and they should look into how they treat those that spend money in their stores. Go ahead with your complaint further and ignore immature comments like the one above.

Coles Supermarkets Australia television advertising

Coles' "It's a down down" advertisement on television is obnoxious and annoying in the extreme!
Hopefully they are removed soon and the stupidity of making people think that you can brainwash them into shopping at Coles, by repeating an inane phrase over and over again in the song, is stopped. Personally it makes me want to shop there less!

Coles Supermarkets Australia mandarin

Dear management

On Saturday the 9 July 2016 my fiance and I purchased some Mandarins from the Wollongong Gateway store.

When opening the mandarin it was mouldy inside. We opened another and same result. This is my fiance favourite fruit. It is also an embarrassment to our country as she is visiting from overseas.

I made a report to on Duty Manager Aaron at 19:50 pm 11 July 2016.

I have frozen the Mandarins and have kept the package that they came in, The expiry date is 15 July 2016

It is the same here in VICTORIA but it is where you can see the rotton fruit and workers walk past them. When I went and told them they said they was on a break come on on a break almost every time I go? How can you have disgusting fruit on sale and not put a stop to this? Coles you really need to work on your manager's and tell them to get staff that are nit lazy.

Coles Supermarkets Australia customer service

I was at Glenfield Park Wagga Wagga Coles At the checkout I was greeted beautifully by Lee, I had paid for my goods but it declined. I checked my statement but it hadn't come out. They called the supervisors but they were baffled what to do. They then called Andrew the grocery manager who looked at me like I was an idiot. I explained what was happening as did Lee. He asked me to send him a screen shot of my personal statement to his phone. I asked for an email. Everything worked out l. Andrew treated me the whole time like I was invisible and was talking at not to the staff. His customer service was appalling and very rude. Having worked in retail for over ten years and knowing the standards. This is unacceptable from employees let alone Managers.

Coles Supermarkets Australia accused of shoplifting

My busband and I shopped at aldis but went to coles look for an item that aldis didnt have. Were walking around the beauty section of coles looking for the item, we did this a few times as we couldnt see it, just to make sure coles didnt have it. When we went outside a man ran up to us to stop us an accuse us of stealing meat. I had noticed this man watching us in the store but he was adamant we stole meat.1st of all if he was doing his job better he wouldve seen we didnt even go to the meat section. He swore he saw us take something but on looking through our trolley realised he was wrong & he didnt even look at the receipt we provided. We got no apology from this man only one from the lady he bought out with him. It was very humiliating as there were alot of people around. You need people with better eyes doing that job as he said he saw us take something but he saw nothing.. I feel we were singled out due to my husbands appearance.

Coles Supermarkets Australia Cashier named tafea

June 17, 2016, 5:30pm. Worst customer service I have ever encountered in life at Coles Deewhy NSW. My basket is full of grocery and very heavy, i have a sick baby hanging in my chest in a carrier. First the cashier named Tafea didn't even bother to say hi/hello as a normal protocol to a customer who's about to pay her grocery. I ask if I can put my basket on the counter cos its hard for me to keep bending down to pick up the goods with a baby hanging on my chest, no reply at all, as if i don't exist! When she finished with my grocery, she can't even be bother to put the bloody receipt in the bag, instead, she just rudely put it on the top of the register near her, knowing that I am on the end side waiting for it. Not even a "thank you" or have a bloody "good night", i thought thats a normal standard if you're serving a customer? Not in Coles i think? So irresponsible and inconsiderate woman to a young mother who has a sick kid hanging on her chest in a carrier! You just made my day unthinkably worst as it is.

Coles Supermarkets Australia quality of the "fresh" fruit is pathetic.

I have only lived in and around Kununurra for the past 6 years, so I am not sure what the quality of the fruit sold by the Coles Supermarket up here, was like prior to then.
I know that Kununurra is in a very remote location, and everything gets here on trucks - but surely you guys can do better than you have been, to date !

The oranges are mostly very old, often smelly and on the verge of going bad - especially if you buy a bag of them. It's a lucky dip really as to whether or not they are either full of dried up segments, taste "old" or you put your finger through the side of them as they are going bad. Apples - all taste like last year's crop or older that have been in cold storage. Pears - I bought a container of them on Sunday and can honestly say that only one of the half-dozen has been edible. Dried up and tasteless best describes them.

I went to buy some passionfruit this morning - and there were about 20 there, but they were all shriveled up and on their last legs, so I gave them a miss.

Fresh flowers - would love to buy myself some but pretty pricey for what they are. Why not cut the price a little and get them all sold rather them having them sit there for a week and die completely - and throw them out.
This sort of thing also happens with the fruit - way too expensive for people to buy, and then prices only reduced when things are verging on being thrown out !?

Anyhow, I've had my whinge. Thank you, in the hope of receiving "fresh fruit".

Thank you.

Wendy

Coles Supermarkets Australia renovations at dalby store

My name is jennifer drover, I live at 15 new st dalby which is directly across the road from the store and i'm upset that we weren't notified of the noise we would have to endure all night every night for the past few weeks as it has caused many sleepless nights for myself and my family. It has been very tiring on us all as we have become rundown and unwell due to fatigue. My husband leaves for work at 5.30 and arrives home at 7.30 and sleep is very important. If we were notified we could have arranged other accomodation or at least had some idea what we were in for and how long it would continue. We have been loyal customers to coles for a long time and would expect the company to be more concerned about customers welfare. Very disappointed and it is important this complaint is acknowledged for future instances. [protected]

Coles Supermarkets Australia small trolleys not available

The trolley collectors for Coles at Belconnen seem particularly reluctant to bring in small trolleys. As I have bad knees and can't fight big trolleys I want to be able to use the small ones when I shop. This doesn't seem to be a problem at other stores but has been for years at Belconnen. If I make a point of complaining and the store says they'll speak to the trolley collectors, the small ones are available for a while, then after a while they stop bringing many in again. I have been there many times when they make multiple trips bringing in the big trolleys and no small ones at all.
Why do they only ever bring in a few small ones? Can you ask the management at Coles Belconnen to ensure that small trolleys are always available. I am not the only customer who prefers small trolleys.

Coles Supermarkets Australia express 12 items or less checkouts. mackay sydney street markets

Today my wife visited this store on her way home. She went to the express checkout due to time constraints. Once again customers in front of her had full trolleys, way over the 12 time limit. This is a regular occurrence at this store and in the express checkout lane. I also often use this store during my lunch hour and have experienced the same issues on many occasions. Most customers only have 30-45 minutes for lunch and it is difficult to get your shopping done and fit some lunch in during this short time period. I have verbally complained on several occasions, and threatened to write to management on several visits, but today was the final straw. What is your management at this store thinking? Customers need the express check out to be used appropriately buy customers, and monitored and enforced by Coles staff and management! If Coles can't get it right Both myself and my wife will shop at an alternate supermarket! Seriously, how hard can it be to rectify this problem? I would appreciate a written response with Coles intention on dealing with this very frustrating issue.

Alternate supermarkets are going to allow the same thing. People these days think the world revolves around them, and grocery stores cater to their whims to keep them coming back spending money. None of the employees are allowed to refuse to check the customers out. Instead of complaining to the management, who can do nothing because corporate will not allow them to, how about you say something to the customers in line with the full carts? I do when I am shopping. I speak up because I know they can't. Until customers start opening their mouths and saying something, this and other abuses will continue.

Coles Supermarkets Australia product and lack of customer service

On the 7/5/16 I went into Coles Supermarket in Coburg and purchased groceries for a Mothers Day BBQ for the following day.
When I got home l noticed not one but two of the meat products I purchased were out of date, more specifically best before 7/5/16 which was today.
I returned the products moments later and recieved a full refund
however, the lack of customer service and care was a great concern.
One of meat products (lamb chops) had a rancid smell but yet was still on the coles shelves at full price nonetheless.
I went into the meat department again to replace the chops and sadly came across another 2 packs out of date 6/5/16 and the 5/5/16!
I informed both sales assistant and customer service and even spoke to management to which l was informed the 7/5/16 is not out of date even though he agreed had a foul odour, that they will be cleared tonight.
Unfortunately no mention by any of the staff members that they will check the meat department. It shouldn't be a customers responsibility to physically remove these products and inform staff of this health hazard. I would of expected given that we are referring to 2 day old meat with the potential to seriously harm or worse kill that someone would of checked the meat department ASAP and not wait til COB

Coles Supermarkets Australia service

To whom it may concern, I am not one to make a complaint nor do I think I have ever done so... However I feel it absolutely necessary to do so on this occasion..
On the 15th of this month my 5 year old little girl and I attended the nerang coles on station street... We got our groceries and proceeded to check out self serv... On the way one of your employees was standing there and I asked her if I could purchase tobacco from there or a different counter..
Immediately she demanded to check my bags and I happily agreed.. I begun unloading the shopping onto the little bench at self service counter and opening my coles grocery bags while she treated me like a criminal... I then asked why as my shopping was going every where.. She then called who I believe was the manager. She said "have you used these checkouts before?" I replied "yes all the time" she said ok and kind of helped to gather our shopping to begin scanning.
The lady who demanded bag search then accused me loud and clear "you were not going to pay for any of this shopping, because you asked me where you can buy tobacco from"
Meanwhile I was humiliated, my 5 year old was confused and upset, I replied "are you serious? You think I was going to simply walk out carrying filled up grocery bags and walk to the cigarette counter and buy cigerettes?" she said yes... I stated that she was falsely accusing me as I had not even gotten near the self serve check out where my little one and I were headed to buy the shopping as usual...
She was rude... I was embarrassed and actually begun having a panic attack and infuriated as I was a loyal coles only customer for many years.
Any how she and the other lady found out that there was nothing I was hiding... I purchased most of the items and left the others on the ground where they had to be unpacked according to your staff member...

My daughter and myself walked away whilst every one watched and stared... My daughter was crying.. I said to her hang on baby, I need to find out their names... My daughter was tired also from being at school and kindy, she said no mummy...
Then... This part is what has really set my blood boiling...
The "ladys" yell across the mall as I walked back saying
"you just hit your child" "did you hit your child?"
I calmly replied "you may ask her your self without me looking or coaxing her"
My daughter was crying still... And your employee stated she has 4 children and has never seen one of them cry... Now that is out of line for many reasons...
They both were telling me to look after my child... Be a real mother...
Now for one I never lay a finger on my angel...
2: they have both stepped way over the line... I wasn't aware that coles have trained "mothering discrimination and put downs with humiliation attached"
3. The camera's can prove all of this...
4. I pride my self on being an amazing mother to my little girl... She is my entire world... She is my angel..
5. _"if_" I or some one in the vicinity of coles were to smack their child... Are your employees allowed to yell and judge and tell some one and accuse some one of hitting their child?
6. I am immensely put off by this outrage... I will not only never go back there.. I am tempted to go public with this as I feel very strongly against how I was treated and wrongly accused then to be publicly accused and made out that I had been hitting my daughter...?
Clearly all on camera... Every part of it...
Then to be told to go and be a real mother and actually look after my girl...
Wow... I should not and do not have to say this but my daughter is never poorly treated, smacked or neglected.. Infact any one in the community will tell you that zarah is healthy, loved, cherished, cared for, respected nurtured and some what spoilt and showered with pure love and affection 24/7...
So for your employees to say and behave in the manner they did is discusting... And embarrassing...

So in all of that said I would appreciate an email back at your earliest convenience...
I would and I gather you would prefer this matter not to go to public.

I will be advising people to shop else where though than that coles.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Kind regards
