Coles Supermarkets Australia customer service

I have just tried to get through to customer service no go got hung on 3 times. I shop at Geraldton Coles. Today served by usual checkout lady just as she was about to serve me she pulls out a dirty tissue and proceeds to stick her tissue covered fingers up her nose then blows a large amount of mucous into the tissue. She then puts it back in her pocket and proceeds to touch my items. No hand sanitising agent was used even though she had some on her till. I went to cigarette counter to ask if the lady there could remind staff to use sanitiser I way told I will try. But personally I would Never use it. When I said how would you feel she replied I don't let anyone touch my shopping. You have even just lost a valued customer. Be thankful I have not posted this on Facebook.

Coles Supermarkets Australia service flybuys misleading marketing

Hi ! My name is Kajaal. I am a loyal customer of Coles. I have been following my emails about flybuys quite often. I got the 1000points offer on my flybuys a few days ago. So, I went to do my groceries at coles maylands yesterday. I purchased around $57 . But unfortunately it was bonus 1000 points on online shopping only. I was very disappointed and read the mail again. It is so misleading and confusing. I like coles but ut just broke my heart.

Thank you.

Coles Supermarkets Australia ant rid... lack of supplies in tweed mall and tweed city shops.

I live in a multi-story block of flats in Tweed Heads- nearest Coles store is Tweed Mall. At the very first sign of rain, my flat (first story) and other flats are invaded by thousands of ants. From my previous experience with the problem the only product that gets rid of them is Indoor Ant Rid Liquid (50mls) which the ants feed on and then take it back to the nest, where it kills the queens.
Unable to acquire supplies from either Tweed Mall or Tweed City, I wrote to the supplier- Henkel Australia Pty- Laundry and Home Care, who thanked me for bringing it to their notice and advised me to speak to the manager of the area where the product is usually shelved. I did that but was advised to contact Coles direct.
It is difficult to understand why a product that is obviously in demand, is not available.
Please advise

Coles Supermarkets Australia meat department

Hi we bought meet chuck steak on 10th Oct which due date was 12th Oct when we opened it we noticed it absolutely stunk and noticed the whites were discoloured. We were most upset and shocked that such a thing can happen at a supermarket of that stature even worse that our family of five could of become sick if we had of consumed it especially our children not to mention that we had to take it all the way back to store at 6pm and miss dinner as we did not want meat from the same place

Coles Supermarkets Australia coles brand brown rice and quinoa

Hi,
My name is Alex and tonight I bought a packet of the Coles Brand Brown Rice and Quinoa, after removing it from the microwave which I set on the correct time for, I looked into my rice packet and there was a significant amount of the contents that were completely covered in mould, the smell of the packet was almost unbearable. The use by date is still valid for the 19th of October so I'm unsure why I have received this sort of product. I would appreciate some sort of compensation, as this is just not acceptable and a risk to my health, or if I was serving it to others.

I bought a packet of 6 Coles bakery hotdog rolls. When I got home to prepare them for dinner, there were only 5 rolls ☹. I selected no receipt when I went through self service.

Coles Supermarkets Australia customer service complaint

I shopped at your Lynbrook store today to purchase fruits and other items. I proceeded through the self service area and scanned all my products and when i scanned 2 mangoes they came up as the incorrect price. I picked up the mangoes from a tray that clearly indicated a price of $2.50 each. But when i put it through i must have hit the wrong mango and it scanned it at $4.50 each. I called the assistant “Natasha” over to assist with an override and to submit the correct one. She advised she could not do it as she doesn’t have authority... so she called for a price check and after waiting for 2-3 minutes or so, no-one showed, then i said to her “ it’s definitely $2.50” she said well it could be that someone put them in the wrong place... i replied “no, i just pressed the wrong type of Mangoes, you have 3 varieties’. She insisted that she couldn’t override it and needed approval. However this other assistant comes over and I say would you like me to take you where i got it from and she says “no” however “Natasha” has attitude and walks over and overrides it... just wasted 10 minutes of my time only to override it, without the authorisation and then had the ordasity to have attitude with me. Then she walks away and not tell me that she had override the product and place in the amount I initially said. I called out after her and she turns around with attitude and says “ i’ve Override it”. Confused I just looked at her and paid for my items and walked out. That is the most disgusting customer service i have ever received in all the time i have shopped there. Seriously for 2 mangoes? The resulution would be that this does not happen again and hence a compensation of your choice for this person wasting my time.
Not happy at all.

Coles Supermarkets Australia customer service

Michelle from Deli.

Rude. Rolled eyes when seen me in front of the counter waiting to be served. Asked ‘what do you want’ in a very harsh tone. Continued to be unpleasant during the conversation. Avoided eye contact during ordeal.
I have never had a personal problem with this worker and there should be no reason she is acting this way. Quite rude and made my shop unpleasant.

Coles Supermarkets Australia coles brand penne pasta

Hello. I would like to give feedback in relation to this pasta after adding to boiling water. The pasta immediately broke into pieces as if the packet had been crushed. However this was not the case and the pasta shells were intact before putting into saucepan. I have a photo if you would like to see it. It was disappointing as l actually had a few people over and cooked 3 packets and all were the same. Thankyou Carmel

Coles Supermarkets Australia eftpos card charged twice

On Friday the 6th of Oct 2017 at 9.00pm I went in to make a purchase from the service desk at Coles The Entrance, my product was scanned and I inserted my card into the eftpos machine and was approved, but the register did not approve and asked for another form of payment and staff said to wait as my transaction had not gone through, even thou the eftpos machine said it had, staff had to take me to another checkout to re do the purchase, later that night I checked my bank account details and found that I had been charged twice and so I went into Coles on the following day Sat 7th Oct 2017 to seek a refund and was advised that I could come in on Monday to see the office staff but their advice would be the same as what Im giving you that Coles policy is that I had to go to the bank on Monday and organise a refund through the bank myself, I went into the bank after seeing Coles office staff and was told that I was the second person today that this has happened too, the bank did say that Coles is usually prompt with disputes so It could take about 5 days or the worst case it could take up to 21 days but why should I have to wait, when clearly Coles has the money and the error was on there part and what is worse that the register that is giving them problems was still being used as the manager of Coles clearly stated to me that this same thing had happened this morning.
It makes it hard when you are a single parent with a casual job and live from week to week and have to wait for a refund that was clearly through no fault on my part. Coles should have a policy in place that can rectify this kind of error and not leave it to the customer to sort out there own refund and have to wait for said refund

I went into Coles bought $97.79 in groceries through self serve, the till got stuck on pending, the girl came over couldn't figure it so called another girl. This girl waited a few minutes said don't worry about this payment I'll have to run your items through again this transaction will be reversed. But no it wasn't. I went to Coles they said go to the bank but because the stupid girl didn't ring one bag through it was 15 cents cheaper so my bank can't help either. I've showed Coles my statement but they won't give me my money back. NEVER AGAIN

Coles Supermarkets Australia coles brand mini classics vanilla ice cream

The ingredients listed are on the opposite side of the packet to the allergens listed, which are different to the allergens that have been listed in bold on the ingredients side. My child is anaphylactic to peanuts and we were very lucky to see the other side as the ingredients side does not mention nuts at all, only wheat, milk and soy. On the other side it says 'may be present: peanuts and tree nuts.' One could easily assume from reading the ingredients side, that all allergens were listed there.

Coles Supermarkets Australia plastic packaging

Supermarkets need to choose packaging that will sustain our planet throughout its life. No amount of profit can buy back a healthy planet and there is no planet b, where we can find asylum. Announcing to phase out single-use plastic shopping bags, removing styrofoam trays from the organics range while at the same time massively increasing the amount of plastic packaging in fresh produce, deli and packaged items sections and regularly making it cheaper to buy food in plastic is not solving the plastic pollution problem. Customers are purchasing plastic they don’t want because they can’t afford to pay the ‘fine’ for not using plastic. Placing self-help bags near produce that doesn’t need a bag influences customers to obey ‘hinted’ rules, so they use a bag. Also, with on-line ordering, if someone orders a single item, e. G.1 zucchini, it ends up in a single bag! They are telling/training their customers & staff to put tiny quantities of produce and single items in plastic bags and bagging it at the cash register again instead of waiting if clients really need a bag or ask for a bag. This needs to change! Such environmentally destructive behaviour is costing us our planet. We want #plasticfreeproduce! They could train staff to ask, if clients brought a bag. They should be embarrassed that smaller grocers and harris farm market are leading the way with environmental responsibility!

Coles Supermarkets Australia coles carrot cake

Purchased 5 days ago. I've been loving these single serve cakes from Coles. Individually wrapped for extra freshness and ease of popping in your lunchbox. So was super disappointed when I'd already taken a bite of one this morning, went in for another bite only to find it mouldy! There's only one thing worse than mouldy cake and that's mouldy cake you've already taken a bite of!

Coles Supermarkets Australia customer service

Dear Sir, Madam.
I was shopping in your bay city store recently. I attempted to pay for products by self serve, I could hardly hear the sound of the machine. Twice I had to ask for assistance, and both times she had a condescending attitude treated me like a child acted as though I asked her to run a marathon, not to mention no thank you or kiss my butt. Sorry, but that is how it was.
It is so sad that your store and others alike have staff that have no appreciation for having a job and look as though they hate the world. I have a son looking for work. He has a 4 year degree he works 20 hours or more a week of his own accord volunteering, he works harder, more passionate, has pride in his work, has respect for all types of people as it is quite challenging at times and all without pay, along with other volunteers. I just don't get it and that is why I shop at ALDI as much as I can, don't have to self serve and get greeted with a smile. If I receive bad service especially when I have to do everything myself I would prefer to go without than give you my hard earned money. I have worked in sales for 30 years, I would go beyond the call of duty for my customer, but I guess those days are gone. You would be surprised how many people have had this exact experience.
Now there is the Internet.
“ You will have competition”!

Coles Supermarkets Australia service

Coles Coffs Harbour has some of the worst service I have ever experienced in a retail business
They are so rude in the deli and service area and you can never find a checkout open and you have to go through self serve with no assistance
They constantly run out of products and have no care factor to try and help and it is always untidy
It really is appalling
I will no longer be shopping there

Coles Supermarkets Australia appalling treatment in store

Hi

I live in an area where there are 2 Coles supermarkets, one across the other. Even though there is a Woolies down the road, I go to Coles. Or used to.

On 29/9/17 I went into one of the stores and purchased some things. I went through the express checkout, and proceeded to put my items through.

I was, and will be slow, as I have suffered from a minor stroke almost 3 weeks ago. So I put my stuff through, and forgot one thing. One thing. I paid and as I stood there checking my receipt, the idiotic woman that was watching the area asked me if I was going to pay, and asked me to show her my receipt so she could check. I showed her and before I could even mention I was abit dozy and slow because of the stroke, she told me to pay for the item and go.

I felt so stupid, and so embarrassed around the other customers. I went to the front desk and asked what the best way to make a complaint was, and I was told to go online.

I have kept my receipts, so that I can post everything on your Facebook page and online, anywhere I can warn customers.

I am so appalled and disappointed. I have been living in the Clayton South area for almost 10 years. I go to Coles all the time and I get treated so horribly. I am going to speak to everyone I know and make sure they do not go into the store.

Let me know if you get this and care enough to respond. And look out for me in your Facebook page.

Coles Supermarkets Australia rain check product

I went to Hoppers crossing Coles supermarket on Sunday (01/10/2017) around 10:45pm-11:00pm to buy cooler with rain check (expires on 06/10/2017). But girl on register refuce me to give just because of in raincheck item quantity were 4 but I want to buy 2. She said she can’t give me unless I buy 4. I explained her that in raincheck I can buy quantity which is mentioned or less then that but she strictly said that I can’t give because my manager tells me that I can’t give less than whatever on raincheck. She ask her supervisor but reply was same. And supervisor was buzy on doing what he was doing he dont even have time to come and talk. There were hardly 2-3 customers in store and still customer service was disappointing. I told her that I buy before with raincheck from other store less item than rain check quantity and she replied me to then go to that Coles. Coles is a big organisation and how rules are different in other store! Like one store give less item then mentioned in raincheck and other can’t. Definitely that girl and supervisor needs training. I’ll never go that store again to buy anything.

Work Experience, Coles - Hoppers Crossing.
My concern is how students doing work experience are treated. Just show the students how to stack shelves and leave them (why not the students don't know any better). These students are excited to go and interact with others on how it is like to be in any work force only to be put in an aisle all day and only when and only when someone remembers to give them a break (first day on work experience, the only break I got was 4 and a half hours later after starting at 9am). It's no wonder when children finish their work experience they are not interested or keen in finding work in a hurry, because their first experience is not a good one. A few parents have experienced this treatment with their child(ren). Why see students as a waste of time, but see them as students learning from the BEST. Treat us (students) with dignity. After all, I am sure some of the adults (working) have done work experience during their school years. My Mum was concerned and spoke to a staff member at Coles, Hoppers Crossing (speaking loud and upset) of how her child was treated only to be told if you are not happy send your child somewhere else. Again, treat students with dignity.

Coles Supermarkets Australia disgusting customer service

I have shopped at Westmead Coles since it opened and never had issues before with any team members. Today around 8pm I went with my family to get some groceries. Shopping was smooth but the checkout que was long in self checkout as well as registers. We opted to go to register. The girl on the register did not have any name badge, had to check the receipt to know it was Sania. Sania was extremely distracted by her own reflection on the window left of her. Greeted us but did not smile or no eye contact. She scanned the products and threw it in the bag making loud sounds and packed too many items on the same bag. I told her not to make it too heavy and she slammed my bag on the bench top. Then she kept the fragile chips and heavy milk carton together which I pointed out to keep it separate, she slammed it again as if I am wrong to save the chips from getting all crushed and crumpled. Some of the bags were so heavy that it broke while we took it out from the trolley to put it in the car. I don't know if she has been trained properly. She did not ask for my flybuys card. I wanted to complain to the service manager but there was que everywhere so I just came home and posting it (which will never get reviewed). Upon review please let your team members to do proper packing and dress neatly and if something is bothering her talk to her. She should not let her anger and aggression out on my shopping.

Coles Supermarkets Australia service

Just went to your lake innes PMQ store which I used the self serve checkout - twice the machine jammed due to 50 cent coins I had put in the machine (it was definitely a cash/card register) so the woman on duty took the coins out and sat them back on the register and walked away. So I asked her if I could put them back in In order to pay for the remaining amount due, so I did in which it jammed the machine again! prior to putting the coins in I had put in a $5 note, obviously there was some issue with that machine so I asked the employee if I could just have my $5 and coins back to I could take it to a non self serve check out. She sighed, didn't say a word to me, and pulled out a box of coins, giving me the change in which I should have received if the self serve machine worked, slapped the coins in my hand and walked off. She acted like I was such an inconvenience to her and really if anything it was an inconvenience to me that the machine didn't work. I totally understand machines can muck up sometimes, that's not my issue. The way this woman handled it was pretty uncalled for and I left the store feeling like I shouldn't have gone in due to the massive inconvenience I seemed to cause your employee (by no fault of my own). Just disappointing! :/
