Coles Supermarkets Australia false stealing accusation

Hello
I'd like to make a formal complaint about the duty manager at the Coles in Ardeer/West Sunshine in The Avenue. I was away for my daughters calisthenics on the weekend and so asked my husband to get a few things on Sunday 16th September. He wrote on a paper all the items I requested and proceeded to shop taking the list in and out of his pocket. This took place around 12pm in the afternoon. He said the next thing the manager on duty approached him saying that a customer said that he was putting items into his pocket. My husband was shocked by what he was saying so he showed him that it was a list and turned his pockets inside out. He was wearing a tracksuit at the time so he even showed him inside his pants (now don't mistake this for underwear. It was in between his pant and underwear there was no flesh shown!) because he was quite angry by this stage. When my husband did this, the manager just walk away with no apology or anything. So my husband went to anther employee and asked for his name and explained what he had just done. As he was discussing this with her, another customer decided to butt in, so my husband asked him if it was him to accused him. By this stage my husband was irate so he paid for his things and came home.
Now we have been going to this Coles for over 10 years and being a small store the employees all know of us. I even have family working there so most employees know us well. In fact some even know my parents and my sister as we all go there all the time. And so in saying this, I went in on Monday night and asked one of the employees who knows me the name of this duty manager as he is quite tall and of Indian appearance so it wasn't hard to describe him. His name is Raj.
To be accused like this by this duty manager really pisses me off. The fact that he didn't apologise when he was in the wrong really pisses me off. Now my husband is of African appearance so to me this is a racial matter. I know that I've described this manager as Indian and can be taken the wrong way but I'm Indian too so I know my fellow country men and am not impressed of the way he approached my husband without any proof and belittled him in front of other customers.
Now I expect some sort of acknowledgement from Coles and an explanation as to what action they will be taking. If I do not hear from them, I will be escalating this situation to the Ombudsman.
My email address is [protected]@hotmail.co.uk
Yours sincerely
Mrs Barbara Abreu

Coles Supermarkets Australia false accusation on the coles facebook page

When someone on your Facebook page (Eric Voss) accused people of taking full trolleys through the self serve so they could steal things, I told him it was wrong to say that. His response was to accuse me of theft. Your page manager thanked him for his comment as though in agreement. I feel my reputation has been harmed by this exchange. I have never stolen from Coles. In fact, on at least two occasions when I was undercharged for an Item, I went back to the service desk, told them about it and paid the correct price. I would like you to publicaly clear this up as I was publicaly libelled.

Here is the exchange:
Eric Voss Thank you Coles for banning trolleys from self service! It's annoying when you only have a few items and someone's at the checkout with a bloody full trolley! Like, really? Can't tell me there not stealing a few items!
Love ❤ Coles. 😍

Coles Supermarkets Australia flybuys

On Thursday the 13th September, 2018 I went to Coles in Hervey Bay Queensland to purchase a Fly Buy deal for Gippsland Yogart buy on get one free deal.
At the check out I registered my fly buys card but the the item price did not reduce.
I was then forwarded to the information counter where I was told I could have a refund & I must be incorrect regarding the deal. The staff member was pleasant enough but did just give me the refund without checking. When I returned home I spent a whole hour trying to find a contact number to ring. I eventually rang directory assist and they informed me there was no direct line to fly buys but gave me the correct web site and I found the number to ring.
I spoke to a lady who again was pleasant but i still feel I need to put these points to you.
1. I have no issue with any staff members at Coles in Hervey Bay but they should be informed by Management as to the current deals with fly buys.
2. I wasted 3 hours on this if you count driving back to coles to get this deal which by the way only saved me $2.50.

Coles Supermarkets Australia online

Placed an order on Wed 12/9/18 for delivery between 8-9pm. By 10pm nothing received. Called to enquire and was advised that the truck broke down and groceries would not be getting delivered. Requested to cancel order as would go to the shop myself.
Then advised 3 to 5 days for the refund to come in.
Issue with this being- no contact via email or text or even leaving a voice mail to advise of no delivery. I had to chase up coles.

Waited till Wed 19/9/18 to receive refund. Nothing received. Called and was put on hold for 15 minutes to then be told the store could not be reached and to call back later (are you kidding!) asked CS rep to send me an email once resolved and i would call back as my cell reception at work is bad.
No call back received.
Called 20/9/18 and CS rep called store then advised refund was never initially processed! Was now done and would have to wait another 3 to 5 days.
Requested formal complaint be made as being a single mother with 2 young kids this has stuffed me up completely. I do not have the back up funds to be doing another grocery shop.
CS Rep offered $20 discount for online shopping. Not acceptable as u will not be using online ever again after this. To be honest i dont even want to ever go into a Coles again.
What poor customer service and follow up processes you have.

I expect this to be resolved and some sort of acceptable compensation or i will be going public with this as the whole experience was ridiculous.

Coles Supermarkets Australia register services

In the Bairnsdale store in Victoria 3875 I was served by a lady named Rhonda. I put my reusable bags up between items I wanted in the bags. I was very disappointed to see when I went through to put my packed bags in the trolley that she hadn't packed the bags appropriate (which as I said, it was really easy to see how I wanted them done.)
To have four 2liter bottles in one bag is just ridiculous. So now I have a sore shoulder and a ripped bags from the ridiculous amount of weight. And at the end she handed me bag 3 bags so it was not from lack of bags. Please please train your staff on how to pack reusable bags, and if people are using them to devide items obviously that is how they would prefer them packed.

Coles Supermarkets Australia lack of minis cases

I am a distraut grandma seeing my 4/5 year old granbabies cry because they cant find a case to put all their 30 minis you guys don't accomodate enough cases for all your loyal customers, now to collect all 30 minis we spent over $900 and to end up with no case is dreadful for the poor kids who miss out unless you go to ebay and people rip you off, so i suggest that when you spend your first $30 or more the cases should be enough to go round and limit one per person so if you have any cases available anywhere to purchase and not get ripped off i would like to know please.

Coles Supermarkets Australia champignons

I have been trying to buy a large tin of Edgell champignons from Coles supermarket in Lara for the last 5 weeks. The only champignons available are from China. Surely I should be able to buy Australian produce in Australia. I feel that this is discrimination in that Coles are trying to force me to buy products I do not wish to purchase. Cornetto's &Tea Cake Biscuits have also been removed from sale. There are too many home brands & not enough alternative choices. Let us see other brands on the shelves soon.

Coles Supermarkets Australia coles mini collection/unethical behaviour

I am writing to say how very disappointed I am in how the coles minis have been sold, I cannot believe that people could purchase multiple folders for the minis, my granddaughter collected all the toys an cannot get a folder to put them in, I thought this was done for children not for adults to take advantage of making a few dollars, I am disgusted that people could buy as many folders as they wished, there are a lot of children disappointed, I would have thought that there would be a ban on adults selling them on ebay-gum tree an other places for like $100 to $1200, I have had my say now its up to you as a business to do the right thing cause if not I will NEVER collect items from your stores again, a very disappointed grandma is very upset for her granddaughter, and I would trulely appreciate if you could come up with a folder for my little girl.

sincerely yours

Coles Supermarkets Australia customer service

I am a customer of Coles for as long as I can remember, being a coles shareholder, flybys cardholder and coles credit card holder. On Friday 14th Sept. I received an email with the week-end specials. On the bottom of the email it stated that until early October Coles will give customers 30 bonus points for bringing their own bags. I shopped on Saturday morning at Coles Store 4500 - CS Southport - Store Manager Dylan - Served by Assisted checkout - register 121 - receipt 214 - 8.35a.m. I asked the assistant about the bonus points and he said he had not been told anything about that. Normally the assistant would go out of their way to find out for the customer but this male assistant chose to ignore the question completely. This dumbfounded me as I did not expect the response I got and I am sure that Coles Supermarkets would not be proud of their "customer service". I am sending you this email to alert you that this has happened so that action can be taken to restore customer service values with your customers.

I purchase 6 bottles of Coles Ginger Beer 9o cents per bottle . I have been to 2 Coles stores this week only to find that there is none available . Today i tried again and was told by someone changing articles around that Coles have deleted it > How stupid can Coles be it is a very popular bottle of soft drink as sometimes there might be only 2 bolltle on the shelf. Another lady also a pensioner as i am said they had deleted her gluten free tea she also said thats it for me ill be shopping at Woolworths from now on i said so will i this is rediculous something sells well and you stop it . There was another item i was after the other week and the girl told me it was deleted i asked why when something sells so well she just shrugged her shoulders and said i have no idea i said how stupid. I have just found out that the reason Coles is giving is it does not sell well what a lot of crap i have been to buy it and it has been sold out yet the lemonade, orange, lime, lemom they are sitting there . Coles need to wake up or hire someone who knows what is going on .

I am very disappointed that whoever is in charge of decisions regarding shelf merchandise saw fit to discontinue Coles Brand Ginger beer. Not only was this drink 75 cents per bottle (a genuine bargain) but it tasted exactly the same as my neighbour's home made ginger beer back from my childhood days.
I would ask that Coles reconsider - in this case Coles ... you were wrong.

Coles Supermarkets Australia phoenix shopping centre coles store

I am complaining that this store is being closed down very soon and customers have received no notice.

It provides a valuable service to the local Spearwood community and those who live in the surrounding area such as myself in Fremantle.

It is very easy to access.

Why was this decision taken?
If it is based merely on money, as I suspect, it is very short sighted as people will go to Woolies for convenience.
I have shopped at this store for 14 years. Where is your loyalty to us?
It is a huge inconvenience to me and very much more so for all the older customers, especially those who no longer drive.

Coles Supermarkets Australia coles

Ian duty manager banksia grove, has a power complex issue. I've had an issue and argument previously as stated in last complaint. Freedom of speech. Ian seems to believe he can kick me out indefinitely, and tonight physically took the shopping basket with contents out of my possession and told me to leave I couldn't spend my money in his! yes he said he's! shop... I wasn't abusive or violent. I told him to call police he refused said I would be waiting a while as he didn't call. I was embarrassed by this duty manager and felt physically violated. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. And is becoming a burden to myself and my family and believe compensation is in order. The police have been contacted.

Coles Supermarkets Australia scam

I am a regular customer of Coles and I have a Flybuys card as well.
Coles's Mini Collectables scheme attracts us a lot and unfortunately today is the last day to collect the mini collectables so I thought to collect one more collectables today as I have already collected 4 earlier. So I went to your Brunswick West store (Store No. : 7794) Melbourne VIC today and purchased Crafts 25gr Blend 25Gram and paid $32.95 by thinking that I will collect one more as minimum value to spend is $30 however same item is cheaper outside anyways when I went to collect she simply denied that on tobacco product is not applicable. I just can't understand one simple thing that why you people don't publish all this in your advertisement and their behavior was not up to the mark.
I need my mini collectables otherwise you may loose one of your loyal customer.
Please refer the attachment.

Coles Supermarkets Australia I am complaining about bad grocery packing

On the 11/9/18 at 11.16am at Coles Campbellfield Vic, l was served by Linda at register 003. I was shocked to notice that she had placed my fridge-freezer items in one of my shopping bags instead of my insulated bag that l had. I asked her why wouldn't you put these items in my insulated bag. She looked at me stupid & continued to scan the rest of my shopping while l had to unpack & repack my cold items. while doing so, l found my avocado was at the bottom of heavy items! This isn't the first time l've had this experience. I suggest that you retrain your workers in how to pack groceries, especially the young ones.

Coles Supermarkets Australia st. remio coffee capsules

You will be aware that Coles now stocks only one brand of Caffitaly coffee capsules I.e as above. As a weekly shopper at Coles Kingston in Tasmania, this lack of choice has not only caused me some inconvenience but also caused damage to my Saeco Caffitaly machine. The capsules have jammed it rendering it inoperable. Therefore I now have no choice but to purchase my coffee elsewhere with better choice. I have read online blogs by other customers who have had the same experience with these capsules which are obviously inaccurate and vary in size.

I spoke with the Grocery Manager at the store and he suggested that I contact the distributors. He was always polite and friendly but I pointed out to him that as Coles is selling a product designed for a specific purpose and it does not meet the stated claim, it is up them to take it up with whoever and withdraw the product from sale until the flaw is rectified. As I no longer have the receipt he was not able to refund me for purchase so I left the packet with him as a gift!

My weekly shop with Coles totals around $150. I do not intend to shop there and then go to Woolworths for a packet of coffee so from now on will shop there for all my grocery, fruit, vegetables, meat, et al.

I believe that Coles should ensure that all products stocked in their supermarkets should meet specifications stated on the packet and not make inaccurate claims which inevitably cause damage to equipment.

I look forward to your response.

Coles Supermarkets Australia bread

My complaint is about the bread sold in the bakery section at Albany Creek.
I find it very unhygienic not to have the bread packed, as there are a lot of customers buying bread an I have seen a lot of people handling the bread and putting it back. I think this is really bad service, and i feel something should be done about it especially with so many diseases going around these days

Coles Supermarkets Australia unavailability of little shop collectibles; poor customer service and unwilling to assist to our concern

We shopped at Coles Midland around 7pm on Monday, 10th of September 2018. We were so disappointed when we saw the notice in check-out counter telling the queueing customers we are running out of collectibles. When we asked the store in-charge if we can claim it when it become available but she seems not willing to entertain our enquiry and she simply commented " it will end it tomorrow anyway"... it is very disappointing and frustrating especially when you spend beyond your normal spending just to take a chance to complete the whole set. We used to shop at woolworths for quiet sometime but this experience seems to push us back to where we used to go.
