BEWARE! COKER FLOOR COMPANY FILED FOR BANKRUPCY ON 9/18/08. AS OF TODAY, THEY HAVE LAID OFF ALL THEIR EMPLOYEES THAT RUN THEIR OPERATIONS DEPT DUE TO NOT BEING ABLE TO COVER PAYROLL. COKER FLOOR COMPANY IS STILL TAKING PEOPLES' MONEY AND PROMISING MATERIALS AND LABOR THAT THE CUSTOMERS' WILL NEVER SEE. DO NOT SHOP HERE AS THE OWNER CHUCK MASSEY HAS LIED OVER AND OVER AGAIN ABOUT REFUNDS THAT HAVE NOT BE DONE OVER 4 WEEKS AGO.

I contracted with Coker Floor to install tile in my recently bought home. Everything started off fine. Installation started and work was going well until they ran out of tile to finish the project. They got about 90% finished with the tile install and ran out of tile.

They tried to find matching tile from other stores around the country but none of the tile they found matched what was already laid. They contacted the original manufacturer and told me that they placed an order to have the rest made to finish the project but it would take 6 weeks to complete.

6 weeks later, I contacted them to see the status and they told me it would be another 6 weeks to ship.

6 weeks after that, I contacted them to see the status and they said they had no update for me and that the manufacturer was not giving them an update. I called the manufacturer and they said they were familiar with my project but were waiting for Coker to place the order.

I was told by the installation manager (Ryan) and the owner of the company (Cody) that they did place the order but they couldn't give me the purchase order or invoice for proof. I believe they never placed the order and purposely wasted 15 weeks of my time. Not sure what type of people would do something like this.

Now after multiple calls into their company to try and find resolution to this debacle they will no longer return my calls. This has been the worst experience I have ever had with any company in my life.

I will now have to pay to have someone remove the tile they put down so I can install something different.

BEWARE! THIS COMPANY FILED BANKRUPCY SEPT 18 2008 AND STILL IS TAKING PEOPLES MONEY FOR MATERIALS AND LABOR THAT THEY WILL NEVER RECEIVE. THIS COMPANY HAS LAID OFF EVERY EMPLOYEE THAT RUNS THEIR OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT DUE TO NOT BEING ABLE TO COVER THEIR PAYROLL. ANY CUSTOMER THAT ARE DUE REFUNDS STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED THEIR MONEY BACK SINCE THEY DON'T HAVE ENOUGH MONEY TO COVER MATERIALS OR PAYROLL OR INSTALLER PAYROLL. DO NOT SHOP HERE!

Well I would not listen to this angry woman above. I just spent around 22k on my flooring at Coker Floors which is located in Dallas, and they are not closed and not in Bankruptcy. I would not worry about them taking your money at all. If you have any questions regarding a company and complaints, call the company yourself. That's what I did, and now I am super happy with my floors. Thanks Coker!

Sounds like a bitter employee to me. Even if a company files for bankruptcy they will still complete work and deliver services as promised. Instead of avaoiding a company, talk to them, make payments after work is completed, or better yet, ask for referrals.
