Coit Carpet Cleaning / Coit Services unprofessional and money hungry

Money hungry liars. Unprofessional thieves.

Their technician used his feet to measure my rug. Walked all over it and quoted me an unreasonable price. They told my husband the price is higher than what we had paid for previously because we don't get a discount for being a returning customer (their own agent called me to offer me the discount -that's how they got the appointment to come in the beginning!). Everything they said were lies! They said to me when I called to complain "It's normal for technicians to measure using their feet" "we offer discounts to everyone" "we can't charge less than 145$" in their own words! My rug is 8x10' they charged me 10x11' based on his feet. The discount was never not applied!

I made another appointment, thinking maybe it was just that one technician or that one "Lisa" who are unprofessional and ridiculous. Then they cancelled my appointment without telling me.

I guess losing one customer means little to them.

Coit Carpet Cleaning / Coit Services Their TV ads

Date: This happens every day, many times when the TV is on. My complaint has to do with the sound that opens their current TV ads..it is a doorbell, and every time that ad comes up, my dogs race to the door, bark as if a terrible crime might be committed. Sadly, I always have to join them at the front door to quiet down this commotion...and so I find the TV ad very annoying, as do my guard dogs. Wherever I am in the house, I have to stop and manage the madness this causes. What can be done to have this changed? Please?

The technician came out to clean and was suppose to be 40%off special.the price was very very high but we already had our furniture moved and let him go ahead and clean 1 room instead of 4 room and glad we didnt get the others done.It looked good when he left and it was still wet, but look bad when it dried.it was an awful job, going to have to pay to get it done again.and was pushy about selling deoderizers and other products

Coit Carpet Cleaning / Coit Services Damage to sofa

I hired Coit Cleaners to clean three bedroom carpets and while they were at my house I decided to have my three year old sofa cleaned. BIG MISTAKE! They proceeded to steam clean my "solvent clean" only couch. My couch is now faded and covered with streaks. The technician asked if the couch had ever been cleaned before and I told them no. That didn't matter, they steamed cleaned it anyway. After my first complaint, they sent a second technician out who admitted that the couch should have been cleaned in a different manner and that the mat of the fabric would have been better. After the second tech left and the sofa dried, there was little improvement. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau but Coit insists they have done nothing wrong and that's how a three-year old couch should look. It was a pretty expensive sofa and I expected it to be better, not worse, when they were done. So disappointed with Coit. I thought they were a reputable company and I trusted them to do the right thing. Just didn't work out that way. We will be heading to small claims court...

Coit Carpet Cleaning / Coit Services Bad Customer Service

Called on a Monday to schedule my appointment for the following Saturday in the 4 hr am block they give. Arranged for and PAID my daughter to come to my house and let them in, because I would be out of town that weekend. Should not be any problem my daughter is 22. They called on Friday to confirm that they would be there between 11am and 12pm. At 11:30 am on the SATURDAY(the time they were to arrive) my daughter gets a call from Edgar that says" the driver for our rout called in sick and they could to come on MONDAY instead". My daughter called me and told me that she canceled. I called EDGAR and asked why at the time they were supposed to be at my house, did they just figure out the guy called in sick?! Edgar offered no apologies and felt coming on Monday was an equitable solution to them missing my appointment. The fact that I paid my daughter or would have wasted my time on them didn't matter! This seems to be a common problem with this carpet cleaner. If someone calls in sick in the morning and no one will cover the rout, I think they should have called everyone immediately and saved people some free time they lost on someones only day off. The old mainstay of the truck broke down is getting worn out, when the real reason is they just overbooked or decided to do the larger $ jobs. With the men in the Shinny Black up-selling every little thing . its no wonder they fall so far behind and have poor customer service.

I wanted to express my displeasure with COIT service. I have NEVER been so dissatisfied. I scheduled a carpet cleaning for my rental property, of which NO TECHNICIAN showed. To begin with, I received a call 10 min into the time period which the technician was supposed to show up from a COIT representative asking if anyone had arrived to my HOME address, I replied I am not sure if he was at my HOME address because he was not supposed to be there, he was supposed to be at my RENTAL address, the address I specified on my online order.l The service reporesentative said he would call the technician and call me back. NEVER CALLED BACK, POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I called COIT back about a half hour later and a different service representative informed me my order had be CANCLED! CANCLED, by whom I asked. Of course he could answer that and assumed it was by me. I then requested to seak with a manager, of which I was sent to voice mail. AGAIN NO RETURN CALL! He did however offer to send out another technician, but could tell me what time, as if I had all day to wait, which I DID NOT. Just note, the service was UNSATISFACTORY, and the customer service even more so. Will I utilize COIT services again, NO! Will I recommend COIT to family and friends, NO!

I took the day off work to do this, NO SHOW! So another day off to have my carpet cleaned. Believe me it definattely won't be COIT this time.

never again was referred to coit said they were the best !(wrong) the service call and service was so bad I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT first would not show me the price before the 35% discount, he wanted to argue it was only 30% #3 did not run sweeper before he started ...#4 then a hose broke in our bedroom got everything wet from furniture, fax machine, computer, copier, dresser and clothes in dresser #5 paid $89 for a chair that did not gt a 35%discount and over and above that was not totally cleaned... could not even read the paper work ...#6 then he said he was going to scotch guard the carpet and chair he took a bottle of ? sprayed here and there not doing the entire carpet or sprayed the chair 3 or 4 times but not the entire chair #7 the came the deodorizing that was a real joke sprayed around had us and the dog causing us to gasp to breath ...NOW I ASKED FOR A REFUND... THEY WANTED TO COME TO THE HOUSE AFTER... I HAD TO DO OVER ...THEY WILL NOT GIVE US A REFUND SO DO NOT CALL COIT IF YOU LIVE IN GREATER CINCINNATI OHIO OR NORTHERN KENTUCKY AREA ...Jordan's

I was scheduled to have COIT come out and stretch and clean my master bedroom. They assured me that the technician would be out at 1:00 this Thursday 12/3/2015 at 2:30 I called and said no one has arrived Sara tells me that she was going to call me to inform me that the technician that does the stretching called in sick so they could not do it. I was furious I spend three hours in the morning tearing down my COPENHAGEN bed set that comes into a million pieces and dragging every thing out of the bedroom for this. I also have new bedroom furniture being delivered in the morning. I asked her why did you not call me early, I know that the technician did not call in sick at 1:00 in the afternoon, you could have called me early in the day so I could have figured something else out. Also I asked her so you weren't even going to have someone come out and clean the carpets you were just going to blow me off? Sara kept saying that people get sick, I was furious at her that is not the point I said you should have called me how unprofessional is that. Sara said that they would try and get someone else out today to stretch and clean the carpet TRY I said. I called another company they came out that day and did both the stretching and cleaning I cancelled my appointment with COIT I will never use them again. ...

Imagine answering the phones "Thank you for calling Coit, how can i help you?" ALL DAY LONG... to all the other stops on their route! They make the "Money" stops top priority and will leave small or lower income area stops until last or reschedule them after they wait all day. They make bonuses on each upsell and will loose the other customers to get the most money they can that day, sadly most of the managers know it and condone it for the same reason. Coit is not the kind of employer, quality people work long term. If you last, , You Are One Hell of a CUT THROAT...

wow! I was looking up "oriental rug restoration" and the first thing that popped up on my computer was Coit Cleaners...Coit Cleaners is the reason I need oriental rug restoration! While my husband and I were away, we were having our gorgeous, very large, very authentic rug cleaned at Coit...we were assured by them that they were every bit as good as West Side Cleaners which was out of business. I see people compaining about Coit not showing up...I WISH COIT HAD NEVER SHOWN UP! They took my beautiful rug and destroyed it; pull ing it through some sort of machine or something and tearing it apart. My son called us in California after unrolling the rug and he said, "mom, what did they do to the rug?!" When I saw it I could have cried. Restoration will cost 2, 000.00 dollars. the only reason I was getting it cleaned was because of a visiting puppy but all I really had to do was take it outside and wash the pee off and let it dry. Please do not call Coit!

Do not use COIT. We used their Houston service for the first time in March 2011 and NEVER AGIAN. We have lived in our house for over 8 years and have had many service providers through to provide mostly excellent service. After the COIT visist we found an IiPod Touch was missing. Their management was extremely aggressive and rude and will not take any responsibility. I have filed a police report and will also now sue. They will not get away with this and have picked the wrong person to pick a fight with on this issue. We have managed to steer at least 15 potential customers away from them in the last few weeks and will continue to do so. When talking to their management one quickly realizes there is not much there (at least one of them is bordering on illiterate) and they are too stupis to figure out that 15 customers and counting has cost them much much more than the replacement value of the iPod. This is especially true when you consider that the life time revenue from these potentila customers could be substantial. COIT's cleaning process is also no better than any other. My advise - stay away from this dishonest organization.

The reason why you were stood up was because of a little known fact with big buisness's like Coit. Here goes. Each and every day a "tech" (if you can call them that) is given his/her route. ( where they are going, etc.) and usually these people are loaded with more than four to five, sometimes six stops! So, whatever stop you are on his or her route will determine how fast they will get there. Even if they give you a "windowed time" such, practice is flawed with big buisness. The "tech" will have to work faster or slower depending on their mood, quality of jobs declines, you get a real horrid job if your "tech" is in a rush. You waste money and sometime's, like in your case, a no show! Until, Coit can pay their employees more and give them less job, will then only will you find your money has been we spent and your time well considered. On a note: Coit "techs" get paid commission so they have to rush in order to make their money. Can you imagine working more than eight hours, and only get paid the equivalent of ten dollars and hour? Also, "techs" don't get a bonus for all the "hard" work they put in-the upper Management, Managers and Corporate dummies do! Buyer beware, Coit will upsell you, bait and swich scam prices, and not honor the so-called 40 percent discount. It's a sham just ask any of their technicians.

Coit Carpet Cleaning / Coit Services never showed up

We arranged for COIT to clean the carpets of a home we were moving into. We set up a meeting for an estimate. They cam out and gave us an outrageous price of 300.00 for a room, then said there were no guarantees though their company always guarantees.

One The day of Service the scheduled time was between 1pm and 4pm, as 3:30 came around i decided to call them to see how long it would take. After being on hold for 15 minutes they answered the phone and said they would be to my residence before the end of the scheduled time. I reminded them that there was only 15 minutes til the end of the time. At that point the operator placed me on hold for 5 minutes.

She answered the phone as if i were a new customer, i reminded her who i was and she said the truck broke down a few hours ago and they were going to assign a new driver. and gave me the time of 5pm to 7:30pm for service. I reminded her of the contract i signed and asked why i didn't get a call from the driver when he broke down. Around 6pm i decided to go with another company and informed COIT that i would not need their service and they would not get my 300.00 dollars.

I found a private company here in southern California that i would gladly give their number out if you email me at [protected]@ymail.com, because i dont want the good company being spammed.

Nevertheless the funniest thing was the next day COIT called me up saying they had a truck on their way to my house (still wanting my money) and i advised them that their service was no longer and will never be needed. I also brought up the BBB and the Attorney General in the conversation to let them know i was not playing.

So ALL IN ALL, STAY AWAY FROM COIT.

On or about May 16, 2023 I hired COIT to do tile cleaning. I was not happy with part of the service and immediately text the COIT rep who stated he would get back with me. The back splash behind the stove appears to have been omitted or just a poor cleaning job To date after several attempts to make contact no response.

I was curious if there were any other bad feelings about COIT, or if it was just me. I had an estimate for our tile to be cleaned and sealed--the kitchen and two bathrooms. The technician told me about a special was they had for the granite--it sounded like the best thing since peanut butter and jelly. I was also having two rugs cleaned--all total over $1400 for two hours of work. Everything looked fine when the technician told me he was going, I did not know how closely I needed to stop and check everything. It was later as I was taking a shower and saw a little speck of mold that I had been unable to clean, but expected that a heavy spray of water blasted would take care of this and some of the other areas -- I expected to see a difference. I called and told the COIT office that I had some concerns about the work, and she told me that I could either have Friday or Sat. that someone would come out. When the technician came out I showed him some of the things that I noticed that were not done and even asked him if he had cleaned the total shower. He said yes yet I have my doubts. The wax for the granite is nothings special. I have a buffer. I could have bought a better grade of wax and used a buffer and did it for a lot less than I paid.It would have looked just as good. It looks good but it looked good before too. The salesman told me it was like some type of rainx and it would stay shiny and not have a dull finish when something is spilled on it. Wrong. But the capper--I had two rugs "cleaned"--they had to take them in. Well, when they called and told me that they were returning the rugs--only one came. They had to look for the other one--they blamed the guy that wrote up the ticket and said he didn't write it right. Finally the second rug was deliviered--it did not look clean. I looked at it and realized that the same dirt that was on it when I sent it out was still on it. I took a damp white cloth and started to clean a spot to see if it would come out when I realized all the dogs hair was still on the rug. I just raked the cloth across the rug and all this dog hair came up on the rag.The hair was not noticeable to the naked eye. It was only when I accumulated a palm full that you would know that hair was on the rug. The dog does not sleep on the rug, it is just the usual stuff that falls off of Golden Retrievers. I spent a lot of money--COIT does not accept AMEX--I can understand why--they would not have gotten a check--if I knew what I know now--that payment would have been stopped. Right now I am debating small claims court---I called and the technician came back out and I showed him the things that were "red flags" that he had missed things-- what I thought was going to get done -- did not--and I am still finding things that you would have expected to be "cleaned". I think it was just a lazy job. I have emailed the company, no contact has been made to me. I expect that I should get my money back for the rugs--I wish I could get a second opinion.
