None of them barely speak English, the products suck and even though they say they will return the products, they will not. In order for them to return anything you have to bring the products to them. How are you suppose to load up a sectional couch? I asked them to come and get it and they refused. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Go to someone who is reputable and who has great customer service.

Ordered from a retailer and from the catalog. Prices were excellent. I'm a professional decorator. When the furniture arrived, on time, it was way beyond expectations in terms of quality and appearance. Haven't been able to test it for use though as it's brand new. So far, it's far exceeded anything I could have purchased retail at more than twice the price. If it holds up I'm a permanent Coaster customer.

I bought a beautiful chair, its heavy. Looks awesome,
but hard as a rock! NO COMFORT! 0 FLEXIBILITY!
I Got It From Joss&Main, So I'm going to see how dependable they are to work with on returns!
Hope they are reputable #comegetthischair/rock...

I took delivery of a Formal Dining Room China Hutch. The craftsmanship was horrible. The local store ordered another one. After almost 2 months they delivered a replacement which was just as bad as the first. Do not waste your money on Coastal. The table is beautiful but it has major quality issues also.2c224

I bought a bunk bed from canales furniture about a month ago. Still haven't received it. The weather had a little to do with it. But they are not professional at all! I was asked if I wanted the delivery before 3 pm or after 3pm andI said before 3 pm. They just called me to tell me it will be from 6pm to 9 pm. They are running a business and should be accurate about deliveries. I had plans that are now cancelled. Unless I want to wait until the next week! They also said we were purchasing the bunk bed for 699 with the mattresses included. Then until were signing papers we see that its 699 plus 300 for the mattresses. It ended up being over 1100. Big difference. We wont be purchasing furniture from here again. I bought it from the gran plaza

Forget this item. The company who produces it is very poorly managed. Your shipment will never arrive and then they will charge you ridiculous charges. Fraud alert.

My review is from a business stand point so please read the entire post before replying. As with any company I am sure there are some pieces that are better quality than others and unfortunately that is just business. With that being said and after reading some of the complaints when spending money on something that you are going to look at everyday and want to have a warranty on, do a little bit of research first. Unless you are a retailer you can not buy from Coaster directly, so of course they are going to direct you back to the "authorized" dealer, because that is their client, not you. You might be able to order replacement parts or something small like that, at your own expense, but if you are looking to get your money back or have something replaced for free then yes you have to go through the dealer. Unfortunately what a lot of people don't know or don't think about is that just because there is a furniture store that has a Coaster product in it does not make that store an "authorized" dealer. Many of these places buy customer returns and re-sell them as "new". If this is the case then there is no warranty because the original customer has all ready received their replacement piece or money back and the authorized dealer has received the same from Coaster. If you find furniture that you really like at a good price make sure that the place or person you are purchasing from is an authorized dealer of that brand so you know that you will be covered. All you have to do is an internet search for the brand, I would put quotation marks around some of the words to make sure you get the brands website and not stores that offer that brand, and on the site there should be a place to locate authorized dealers.

As for why don't you complain to the BBB they will notifiy the company of the complaint and then see if the issue is resolved, if not they will mark in their records only they have no true power unless they get massive complaints ie over million then will notify the state attorney general who may or may not start an investigation on the company. they have a warrenty policy that states u have to go to the store you bought it from for warrenty if you want results complain to the company the BBB and your state attorney general when buying furniture check out the MFG Warrenty policies also nuy only from stores that have been in business for a long time check their BBB rating and the MFG BB Rating im about to get in a fight with them for a motion sofa that as failed whitin 9 months of use my exception is I know people in the newspaper business and will take out full page ads showing their products deficiencies and their warrenties also note when trying to claim misrepresentation with the state attorney general you have to show proof and they require you to send full documentation with your complaint before they will do anything document everything I wonder if coastercompanyfurnituresucks.com is available do full page ads on internet showing the companies lack of service and practices the loudest voice will get results Trust me its hard to put a business out of business but it can be done! most companies don't like massive bad publicity on their products

I want to share my complaint with Coaster Furniture...I am a consumer of their products purchased through 2 different furniture stores online. The first one I purchased a nearly $5000. The wood is cracking, finish is blotched, night stand applied crooked, glue dripping, mirror frame cracked. They have NEVER EVER replaced or contacted me back to do anything about this. The store is closed now and I am stuck with this dream bedroom set only to cry every time I look at it! They told me they would send a furniture repair to look at it to see if it can be repaired NEVER have heard a word from anyone! Second I purchased a recliner just TWO weeks ago from another store online (whom by the way I recommend My Pigsty Furniture to EVERYONE, they are an amazing company and stand behind all their products 100%) and the recliner has now broken on this inside. I contacted the furniture store whom in return said that all Coaster Furniture said they would do is send out a furniture repair to see if it can be fixed! HAHAHAHA as if I haven't heard that before right! I am disgusted and angry and appalled by this companies so called warranty or 100% guarantee they claim to stand behind and attach to all their furniture. It makes me sick to my stomach and I will NEVER EVER purchase another piece of furniture from this company again! I have a horrible bedroom set and now a broken recliner and I am still paying for all of it with interest on my loan for the next 3 years! How can anyone do this to someone and get away with it, I wonder? I sure wish I lived close to their facility I would dump it all on their front door step!

I ordered a bed over two months ago through a local furniture store I have used before (family members and several friends have used the store before too--so no complaints with the store's 20+ year record). The bed was supposed to arrive in 3-4 weeks. It has been around 10 weeks with no word from Coaster. I email them and receive no reply, and then email them again asking them if it is easier to connect with them through Facebook or Twitter. I received a rude reply but still no information about my order. I agree that Coaster is slow, and their customer service is terrible.

I agree with all the complaints. The dining chairs I ordered took forever to arrive. When they did they were small, almost playhouse-looking chairs, made of a lightweight, cheesy wood, uneven and slipshod staining, raw wood with no sanding in some spots, and contained extra drilled holes which served no purpose. We call those the "mystery holes." It took me so long to receive them that I just would like to return them and order from another company all together. Coaster furniture appears to be cheap, sloppily assembled and they provide terrible customer service. Nothing redeeming except the photographs of the furniture. Nice designs in the PHOTOGRAPHS.

Wow, the lack of care this company exhibits is unbelievable. I ordered a Palmetto Roll Top Desk from Brookstone. The desk arrived 3 weeks later with only the top part of the desk, it was missing the 4 legs and the hardware to put it all together. I called Brookstone because Coaster makes sure you can't call them, they request you call the store you bought it from with any complaints. I waited 2 more weeks for the legs and hardware to arrive only to discover that the three support pieces that connect to the legs for support was missing. Are you kidding me? Is Coaster that stupid? Yes they are. So, I call
Brookstone again to lodge another complaint. I'm not complaining about Brookstone, their representatives in their call center were very nice and understanding. Brookstone refunded the shipping costs and is sending me a gift card. But it remains to be seen if Coaster can get their head out of their butt long enough to understand what pieces go with a Palmetto Roll Top Desk !

We bought a bench through Amazon from Coaster "Fine" furniture. The workmanship was extremely shoddy, there were parts in the parts bag that weren't even for the bench and one of the allen bolts did not have a recess in the top so you could not use it with the allen wrench to insert it. The instructions were terrible and the pieces were made of cheap wood. The stain was missing in spots and the dowels were much too small for the dowel holes. I cannot figure out how they have the gall to say they make "fine" furniture. They don't.

After reading these posts, it seems that the retail outlet that many of you purchased your furniture from failed to provide professional customer service starting from the assembly of the products to delivery of the products and follow up service of any issues after delivery of the products.
It is basic retail customer service that you are all really searching for.

I am dealing with them now on a two year old kitchen set ($1400) and two chairs had legs bust over the weekend, my daughter on one who has scratched and bruised ribs and I sustained a lot of paint (from the chair) and scratch damage to my wood floor. Sunday eating breakfast my front chair leg went and I have injuries to wrist, back ribs, tailbone/hip. I had one person at this company tell me well it is two years old! 6 chairs used by 2 people 90% of the year, our girls are out of the house and visit several times a year as they live out of state. We won't sit on the chairs now, its crazy the wood just splintered and a front leg gave way with no warning, they didn't wobble seem weak or anything like that. Waiting for a manager to call now but doubt I'll have any better luck then with the person that answered and kept saying its over a year old. No customer service here and for sure I will make sure to never buy Coaster again.

I wish I would have researched this company before making the purchase! I bought a Coaster futon from Rooms Furniture in Houston, biggest mistake. It smells, and within the first week one of the springs fell. (we are not heavy set people, nor do our children jump on our furniture). Rooms furniture will not take responsibility for it, and after reading all this I guess Coaster furniture will not either. They are very misleading, this is not "Fine Furniture", there is nothing fine about it. I will never purchase furniture from a catalog again!

My brown microfiber sofa started falling apart not even a year after purchase. The stitching was extremely weak and the cushions are completely deformed not even 3 years later. I cannot believe I wasted my savings on this p.o.s. Never buy furniture online and make sure you get paperwork. I didn't receive any and now I know why. I was scammed!

I am having the most horrible experience with coaster and its delivery company mercantila. I purchased a dinette set off line from zoostores on 11/09/12. The set was scheduled forr delivery on 11/26 but was not actually shipped until 12/5. It was scheduled to ship on 12/7 after the 11/26 shipping date was changed. I was out of town and since they don't require a signature upon delivery I was told by fed ex that my dinette set could have just been left on my doorstep. I forund a neighbor to place a note on my door forr fed ex so that they would not leave my set on the doorstep. Well I finally received the set only to discover that when I took it out of the box it was broken into pieces. I am soooooo upset and out of patience with this company. I called to report that the item was broken and unusable and they told me they would get back to me through email in 2-3 business days. It is 12/12 and I still haven't heard anything yet. On 12/10 I called back and was told to send pictures which I did but still no response. I went so far as to call coaster and was rudely told that i needed to deal with the buyer I purchased from even though coaster is the manufacturer. I will never ever purchase furniture on line again. I would ask for a refund but every review I have read abut their refunds says it takes weeks to months to receive. Meanwhile my children are eating meals on the kitchen floor. PLEASE beware of theses companies I have mentioned above. They will make your life miserable and their customer service really SUCKS. below are just some of th pics I sent them to evaluate if I should be shipped a new set. The whole piece of wood on the bottom of the table where the legs would connect is brocken into four pieces and completely disconnected form the table. This is how it was upon delivery! BEWARE

Has anyone purchased the Carson leather sofa and love seat. They look great and I spoke to a sales person and I can get it in a week. I'm looking at photos but I am going to see it in person at their store too before buying.
I'm concerned about their no return policy w a warranty w a third party. The major concern is the third party delivery company I've had many pieces damaged over the years by the delivery companies so I may get a friend to pick up with a rented truck...Any comments are welcome:)

To the last post...Pep Boys does not deliver parts initially, so your analogy is inappropriate for furniture circumstances. Furniture however is delivered intially so it's only appropriate to compare the return process to other furniture stores. I have bought furniture from over 10 places throughout my life and I have had to return furniture to 3 places; all 3 places picked up the furniture. If a company misrepresents an item, I have hard time believing that I should have to pay for their dishonesty. All 3 of those returns were for furniture that I only saw online; I highly recommend only buying furniture that you have seen in a showroom or store. Ultimately, if furniture is cheap...you get what you pay for. If you really want to save money, invest in better quality furniture and you will not have to replace it for 10-20 years.

First of all you wrote "none of them barely speak English" already that sounds like you dont even know the language. Second if you go to Pep Boys and buy a starter and its no good are you going to tell them to come and get it or are you supposed to bring it back? I bought a Coaster Ronan Sectional and so far its absolutely perfect, if you cant bring it to them im sure theres other alternatives to get it there like borrowing a friends truck or paying a company to deliver it, while those arent free its just not the manufacturers job to come and get it if it breaks. Just want to point those things out to the other readers.

I purchsed a dining room table from Loft Living made by Coaster. The chairs came damaged with scratches and the table with a huge chip and crack on one end. The furniture looks great but the wood seems very soft and obviously will not survive day to day use.

I agree with the quality statements above on Coaster Futons. They are garbage. Made in Vietnam and absolute junk! I had my first one replaced by the retail outlet I bought from and the 2nd frame broke again. The wood is not one piece. It is glued crap! The frame broke at a glue joint. I will buy something made in the USA now. I will not even waste my time with Coaster. I would like to dumb this piece of shi#&%&7867 on there front lawn thou! Stay far away from this crap for sure!

don't buy their futon, especially their wooden ones...they are junk and they will break. I tried to deal with them after the glue came apart of the frame and they just would not hear about since I was only 2 months past the year anniversary of purchase date. I would say NO to any other futon from them. The model number was 5137...bad bad choice if you go with them...check the picture below...pictures tell a millions words.

STAY AWAY FROM COASTER! I purchased a futon frame less than a year ago and it broke. I forwarded a picture to the store I bought it from and they told me that Coaster refused to replace it based on where the break was. They insisted that it broke because of "excessive force". I am not obese. I don't have kids. I didn't use the futon as a trampoline. There is no logical reason why it should break aside from it being defective. I contacted Coaster directly to bypass the furniture store who was useless and their "customer service rep" gave me the runaround and I ultimately ended up exactly where I started: NOWHERE.

This furniture is cheap. I should've made a futon frame out of cardboard. It would've lasted longer!

I purchased 2 swivel recliner chairs through Rooms by Us. The weld broke on the base of one of the chairs. Looking at it, it was only spot welded. This chair is used, not abused and the fabric should wear out before the frame. Called Coaster and was told to deal with the dealer.

I will be back to give an update. Glad I found this blog.

I totaly agree just recieved the coaster sectional suite same one, and it is small, made of cord. the only I purchased it from another on line web store.
its horrible. realy cheap looking im tring to ship it back but so far they havent replied, with a shipping number im going to be well out of pocket time i include the shipping and the 20 percent handling charge but guess what if i took a picture of it i would not be able to sell it on e bay.
I have also noticed the coaster company have pictured the suite with a wide angled lens so it looks much more bigger and better than the real item.
absolutly nothing like the westwood sectional that i purchased.
