J.D. Byrider Harrasment

I bought a car from JD Byrider, and financed through CNAC in June 2009. The total purchase price was to be $10, 900. What originally lured me in was their constant advertisement that $299 down delivers. Well, once I got in the office, and spent 3 hours going over everything about my life, I left $1500.00 poorer than when I went in. As for purchase price of 10, 900. after a year of making payments of $360 a month, my total owed has just now gone under $10, 000. Also my payments are due every friday, and the office closes at 7pm. If i am not there by 4pm, they are calling threatening to take my vehicle. My insurance this month was due by the 17th, and i paid on that date. I just got a really *** letter from CNAC today(21st) about how my insurance has lapsed, and to contact them immediately. I went on my insurance providers website, and my insurance never lapsed even for 1 day. these people are ruthless, and dishonest. I was in a bind after an accident, and had to have a vehicle fast. My credit wasn't very good either. If not for that, I would have never gone there. I will most definitely not be going back

I bought my van a couple of years ago. Ever since then this company is nothing by unpleasant to deal with. Our payments were always made on time up until a year ago when my husband lost his job. For the most part they are still on time every other week when i get paid. My husband is fighting disability, and i have explained this to them. I havent asked for a lower payment, or anything else. I fell behind a couple of months ago. My payment is 306.00 a month, i pay 153 bi weekly. Well i was a payment behind. I have continued to make my regular payments and on opposite weeks i get paid have been making 50 dollar payments to get it caught up. Every single day for the past week. I have gotten 10 calls a day, on top of multiple text messages a day. I have asked them to call after 430 when i get off. They cannot do this. I have told them that i got in trouble at work due to my phone constantly going off, they still do not care. They are bullies, and very un professional. I do not recommend anyone buy a vehicle from them or have to deal with cnac.
This is ridiculous, and i have made complaints to the company, nothing is done. One worker even had the audacity to tell me i needed to work two or more jobs to make sure they get paid, and i should file for govt assistance. Ummmm i work for the county. So i should work 3 jobs to make sure they get their 100.00 that is still owed to them. Once that is paid i am filing a claim with the bbb. This is not how a company should conduct business.

J.D. Byrider poor attitude

On April 17, 2010, I purchased all the materials to build a 30' x 16' deck attached my house for $2, 124.00. I hung the joists and found that I could use 6 more 16' 2 x 8 boards instead of some boards that were delivered.

On Saturday, May 1, I made arrangements with my daughter to get am pick-up truck to return lumber and excess hardware. I returned the following;

2- 2x8x8's, 3-2xs8x14's. 2 stair risers, 3 stair treads, and 8m pounds of assorted nails. Then load was heavy. We unloaded the lumber onto a cart and wheeled it into the Store.

When I got in the store, I realized I forgot my receipt. I talked to a clerk who ID'd herself as Lynn and explained that I forgot the receipt and that I didn't have the credit card that I purchased the deck stuff with. She explained that I would get less of a value on my return without the receipt or the card. Lynn was very polite and courteous. I told her that I lived no farther that 15 minutes from the store and could get the receipt if I could leave my return goods on the cart at the return area. She said that she couldn't make that decision.

I asked to talk to a manager. Lynn pointed to a guy. I said "excuse me, " and he rudely said "I'm the Manager". Lynn told me he was called "JD". He must have been listening to the conversation between Lynn and I. I re-explained the receipt situation and asked him if I could leave the stuff on the cart while I went home to get the receipt. With no verbal recognition of my explanation, he walked around the counter to look at the load on the cart. He came back to me at the counter and said; " I have other customers here to be concerned about and he was rude! You have to load it back on you truck and take it with you when you go to get the receipt. That stuff was heavy and I'm a recently recovering cancer patient. I responed by saying; "That's ridiculous. I'm a customer too, am I not?" My daughter was also irate and went to look for a general manager with more authority. I left the load on the cart and drove home to get the receipt.

My daughter came back to the return desk with a GM, who told her that JD handled the situation improperly and poorly. We are customers and should be treated as such. The GM had conversation with JD.

Seriously, JD did use very poor judgement and consumer service skills. Saying that I had to load that stuff back of the truck was ridiculous! He needs some training on people skills.

I've been a long time customer of Menard's and always pleased with your products. My wife and I spent around another $900.00 yesterday on lattice materials to finish the deck and on a 4 piece patio furniture set for the deck. In '93, we built a sun room on our old house with all Menard's materials for about $18, 000.

J.D. Byrider trouble with car after purchase

After I got home from buying my 2000 Jimmy I found a few things wrong. A bad noise somewhere, cruise control didn't work, and a wiper blade that was in shreds. I took it back in like the told me. They fixed all problems with a smile. I had a wonderful experience with the service department. Everything was under warranty and didn't cost me a dime.

I recommend J D Byrider to anyone that has credit problems. They let you know everything they are doing step by step. No surprises. I will recommend them to anyone any time

J.D. Byrider solicited sales of reference list

After telling our local JD Byrider that we weren't going to pay $11k for a $4k van they called us 3 times a day. After the first the messages claimed that they had good news for us! No news from them is good! But what finally tipped me over the edge is when 3 of the people I listed as references began getting phones calls "to come on in and get into a new car." Had I known JD Byrider was going to use "my" reference list as a tool for them to solicite their business, I would have walked out with all my paperwork. Beware of JD Byrider, they are only trying to scam those of us trying to get on our feet, and any information you provide to them they will only use to what they hope is their gain.

You can't complain about your own stupidity. If you actually read the terms at the top of the reference list, it specifically says "Further, I/we give my/our consent to J.D. Byrider to solicit the persons listed below for the purpose of soliciting vehicle sales. This authority shall expire when the account is paid in full." You signed a contract that says you give them permission to do this. And my experience with them has been great. And they are not giving you just some car. You get a car that has passed a 150 point inspection, comes with a 3-year 36000 mile warrant, and reduced price servicing at their location, which have never had to use in the past two years I've had my car I bought from them.

Same thing happened to us. Fill this out with references. 2 days later we are getting phone calls from people we put as references. they said they got a call from our salesman telling them we just bought a van and should come down and get a great deal too. I called the salesman and explained we did not agree to a referral list and stop calling people on the reference list. of course a week later, I find out he is still calling and it is making some issues with friends and family! I spoke to someone else and they said it would stop. We will see? I wish we never bought this van. I think we make a huge mistake. But my husband says we needed a warranty...

J.D. Byrider Repos car from Military Veteran

My husband's unit had just returned from Iraq the begining of February. As of then, they had "laid off" many of the returning soldiers. He happened to be one of them.

Ever since his active duty has been up, he has had job interviews at local corrections offices, restaurants, and convenient stores. He is also still waiting for unemployment to start coming in. Because of his income last year, we do not qualify for any kind of government assistance.

His car payment is now 9 days passed due, and hes tried many times to cooperate with CNAC. For the past two years he has had his account set up for automatic withdraw for his car payments, and they NEVER took the payments out when they were scheduled to. So while he was in Iraq they would call me twice a month wanting the payments... HELLO they were to be taking them. So because of "technical difficulties" they were experiencing, his history shows many late payments.

Today is friday, his unemployment is coming monday, and they are trying to repo his car by 7:30 pm tonight.

I understand a contract was signed, and we should keep up with the payments, but things do happen. They are acting as if he is three months behind on payments.

This is the most HORRIBLE financing company I have ever experienced. I wish he would have found these reviews before he bought the car and we would have gone a totally COMPLETELY different direction.

J.D. Byrider avoid them

I bought my car in 2007. I have never missed or been late on a payment. I still owe 4100.00 on a piece of junk, while still under warrenty they had it in service like 4 times and nno they do not off rental car's or a different piece of crap to drive. Cnac did reinburse me for a rental however now that the warrenty is out the car is about to just die but guess what, I can't even trade it back in to them. They say I need to pay it down to 2500.00. I said it will not make it that long but they just don't care. If any of you have any brains in your head, avoid this dealerships at all cost. No other car dealer will take this piece of crap from me either. They are dirty dirty... Low lifes avoid jdbyrider.

J.D. Byrider rip off artists/scams/sells flooded vehicles

I have been dealing with CNAC and JD Byrider for the last 5 years. The first problem we had was a vehicle that they sold us that had a list of electrical problems, in which they stated it did not have, unfortunately the vehicle was totaled out in a car accident, in which JD Byrider forced us into anther vehicle, by the way was listed cheaper than the original one that we purchased with only 44, 000 miles on the car. But by the time all said in done we ended up spending more than $28, 000 for a 1998 Buick Lesabre which apparently was a flooded vehicle that JD Byrider sold that was involved in the hurricane Katrina storms. I have had numerous problems with the vehicle, we replaced altenators, starters, tensioner belts, fuel pumps not to mention, it have electrical problems as well, back in 2008 we had a problem with the vehicle cutting off and not starting, I contacted JD Byrider and was told to bring the vehicle in which I could not due to it did not start so we had to spend $289.00 for towing. Upon JD Byrider looking at the vehicle they have determined that the heads were cracked on the engine, (in which we still cannot understand why when the car only had 44, 000 miles on it) and they stated that they will repair the problem by rehauling the engine, but in reality they only blew out the engine and did a temporary fix, they had the car approximately 3 days and charged me another 279.86 for labor (in which they stated that the vehicle warrenty just ran out at the time of the repair). Since that time we have continued to have problems with the vehicle and every time we tried to contact JD Byrider the phone numbers were temporarly out of service, the car lots have been closed and we have given the run around. But, it is so irronic they know how to be available when they cannot recieve a payment. Now to bring it up to speed, the vehicle finally died, in need of a whole complete engine, apparently antifreeze have been backing up from the radiator to the motor, the motor have cracked heads, gaskets and much more wrong, I finally dug arround enough to find a person to contact which is located in Chamblee GA (the only JD Byrider around now, why is that?) I explained to him what have been the issues with the vehicle and JD Byrider and he tried to find my vehicle repairs in his PC sysytem and stated that he did show repairs done to my vehicle since March 2007 which is completley untrue. Stated that the person that I gave my vehicle to at JD Byrider was known within JD Byrider and CNAC to be a scam job and that he was no longer with the company, (as if that have anything to do with me, their employee their responsibility.) He also tried to sound compassionate and stated to allow him to correct the problem (because I threatened to take this public to the news, radio & ect) and stated he can repair the car for $39.00 per hour for labor plus parts. Which I feel is not acceptable. I started digging around and found vehicle reports a total of 34 of them on my vehicle alone and on one of them it was listed being salvage due to flood. (which in reality it was not salvaged, or either JD Byrider sold it anyway). I decided to look at my vehicle to see if I can spot flood damage, and wow was my finding suprising, Molded carpet padding under the carpet inside the car and in the trunk, pinestraw and dirt was also evident and you can see rust on every piece of metal in the bottom of the car and trunk. I informed JD Byrider of this and was told that the vehicle reports were wrong. (which I seriously doubt). I also have filed BBB complaints and I am in the process of going to the Attorney General Office to file Law suit. I suggest all people that purchased from JD Byrider to find out about the vehicle history, and just a note Carmax is not a good source to find it, they only provide partial reports. I have had several certified mechanics to look at the vehicle and stated that it was a flood vehicle and said that was the reason why we had so many problems with the car and stated that is why the car had low milage. File a complaint with the Attorney General Office, BBB, and The Consumer Affairs office in your area, take it public to the news, radio and ect, if they get enough complaints we can get a standing to get what is owed back to us as consumers. Do not stand by and let this company get away with the things they are getting away with. It is time for change and I am starting my process of change today. Please begin to start yours. If you need more information on how to get your vehicle reports (of course they are not free like they are advertised, they cost anywhere from $19.99 to $49.99 depending on how extensive the report is) Feel free to contact me personally at [protected]@gmail.com

@ GUY WITH GOOD CREDIT I DO WORK AND I HAVE 2 JOBS BUT I NEEDED A CAR TO DRIVE TO WORK UNTIL MY DIVORCE WAS FINAL AND THEY WERE THE ONLY ONES THAT WOULD LET ME BUY ONE UNTIL MY ASSETS WERE RELEASED AFTER THE DIVORCE. SO YOU NEED TO STOP BEING A ###! And they are a horrible company i started with a 2 year pay off date that has turned into a 3 year one over nite and i have never missed nor ever been late with any payment. So stop with the mean remarks. You may have good credit but it sure doesn't appear to me as if you have good sense you idiot.

I guess you're saying that because my husband was away serving the country in Afghanistan and I was naive about buying my first car alone that I deserved to get ripped off by JD Byrider?
@GUY WITH GOOD CREDIT
You don't know what you're talking about obviously because not everyone who goes to JD Byriders does it because they have horrible credit and don't work and sit on their butts all day eating bon bons. But no, actually I was able to refinance for 10% interest from Navy Federal Credit Union opposed to JD Byrider's 21%.
Unfortunately I was young and stupid and knew nothing about interest and that a 2005 Chrysler Sebring did not cost $18000 (with interest.) That's highway robbery I don't care who you are or how great your credit is.
The only blame we have is on ourselves for being eager to get a car and stupid for not actually listening to the facts and the contract because they know they're going to walk away with their car when it's over. So to a certain extent the consumers are to blame, but nobody can deny these sub-prime mortgage lenders like you are doing absolutely nothing to repair anyone's credit!
You go into it knowing you're going to rip us off, and we go in there knowing we're getting ripped off (usually afterwards!)
However that doesn't make it ethical. These people have bad credit history, so you give them a huge payment to make not once a month but every two weeks? You already know they're not going to be on time every time! All companies have at least a day or two of a grace period. You just want them to hurry up and default already so you can further ruin their credit and auction off the car and sell it some other unsuspecting soul. Sick.
And the sickest part is we're allowing it to happen. We all need to be responsible and look out for ourselves these days.
You look around at places like this and wonder what happened to integrity.
If they wanted to help people with bad credit they wouldn't be selling them cars for double what they're worth with interest. That's not HELPING. If you want to help, be fair. Or call it what it really is.

YOU PEOPLE WHO ARE MAKING THESE CRITICAL STATEMENTS ARE "LOW LIFES" I AM "NOT" ASSOCIATED WITH JD BYRIDER BUT I AM IN THE SUB-PRIME AUTO LENDING INDUSTRY AND ALL YOU RIDICULOUS PEOPLE THAT DO NOT KNOW HOW TO PAY YOUR BILLS SHOULD LEARN HOW TO BE RESPONSIBLE AND LEARN SOME INTEGRITY AND THEN PERHAPS YOU WILL NOT HAVE TO DEAL WITH A "USED CAR" OR HAVE TO PAY SO MUCH BECAUSE YOU HAVE TERRIBLE CREDIT. IT IS A "USED" CAR..."USED"...STOP CRYING AND MAN UP! BE RESPONSIBLE AND PAY YOUR BILLS AND YOU WILL STOP HAVING EXPERIENCES LIKE THIS... I HAVE "PERFECT" CREDIT BECAUSE I PAY MY BILLS...AND I HAVE NEVER HAD AN EXPERIENCE LIKE YOURS BECAUSE I HAVE INTEGRITY!
GET A JOB...PAY YOUR BILLS...STOP THINKING SOMEONE OWES YOU SOMETHING...YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOURSELF!

JD ByRider's associates are the most dishonest, sleezy associates I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. If you are a single mother, they will sell you a deathtrap lemon that will put you and your children at risk. The same goes if you are older, younger, healthy, sick, it matters not; they will sell you a deathtrap lemon car and steal your money. Their automotive (repair) department is filled with ignorant, dishonest flunkies that will "bandaid-fix" your vehicle until the warranty runs out. They will not work with you to resolve the issues satisfactorily; they are all mouth and no trousers. JR (the ring leader of all the sleeze) is a linguini-spined COWARD. He does not return calls and does not care if you break down on the side of the road. All they want is YOUR MONEY! Our vehicle had to be taken back to their grease flunkies close to a dozen times in one year, sometimes every two weeks, and the issues (bad brakes, bad electronics, bad suspension, etc) still remained. DO NOT STOP AT JD BYRIDER IN CHAMBLEE, GA! They are THIEVES, they are EVIL, and they have no problem putting you and your family's safety at risk! Even if you die, they still have your money. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY, DO NOT GIVE THEM ANYTHING! We have had to get an attorney to fight their dishonesty (and yes, there ARE Lemon Laws here in Georgia that apply to used cars!) and we have a good case against them. They can burn in hell as far as I am concerned.

WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOOOOOOOTTTTTT BUY [censor] FROM JD BYRIDER IN CHAMBLEE, GA! SEAN IS A RIP OFF ARTIST, THE ENTIRE CREW! THEY WILL SALE YOU A LEMON AND THEY WILL TELL YOU NOTHING IS WRONG WITH YOUR VEHICHLE WHEN TEN PLACES WHO DO NOT KNOW EACH OTHER CAN TELL WHY IT IS FALLING APART. THEY SALES JUNK AND YOU ALL CAN PAY FOR IT BUT I AM NOT AND THERE ARE OTHER PLACES YOU CAN GO AND MUST HAVE MAYBE TWO GRAND BUT YOU CAN GET A BETTER CAR LIKE NATIONAL CAR SALES IN MARIETTA WHO WILL AND DO NOT SALE LEMONS AND I WISH I HAD GONE THERE FIRST BUT I DID NOT RETURN MY CAR SO EASILY IT WAS [censor]ED UP ROYALLY WHEN THEY PICKED IT UP AND I MADE SURE OF THAT. THEY CAN KISS MY [censor] AND I HAVE A BETTER CAR NOW AND CREIT ESTABLIED ELSEWHERE. I DON'T NEED TO DEAL WIT THESE PARASITES. I WILL SAY THIS. YOU NEED CASH UP FRONT TO GO ELSEWHERE IS YOU MADE A DIRE MISTAKE AND GOT INVOLVED WITH THESE [censor] BUT ONCE YOU HAVE CREIT ELSEWHERE THAT IS ALL THAT MATTERS AND EVENTUALL JD BY[censor]ERS WILL FALL OFF. I [censor]ED THAT CAR UP SO BAD SO THEY COULDN'T QUICKIE FIX IT AND RESALE IT TO A SAD SOUL. I HAD NO PROBLEM WITH NATIONAL CAR SALES AND I BOUGHT A SUPER NICE LOW MILEAGE CAR WITH NO NOISE JUST WORKED WITH ME BEAUTIFULLY AND WHEN YOU MENTION JDBYRIDER EVERYONE LOOKS BEWILDERED AS TO WHY THE HELL YOU WENT. THE [censor] THAT OWNED IT HE DIED IN A PLANE CRASH AND HE DESERVES TO BURN IN HELL. THERE IS A PLACE IN HELL FOR PARASITES LIKE THAT. I BOUGHT A GREAT SADAN AND HAD NO PROBLEM. IN FACT IT WAS GOOD THAT I HAD ESTABLISHED CREDIT ALREADY AND THEY JUST ADDED ON THE LOAN AND AFTER I GOT INTO ONE WITH THEM WHICH IS NOOOOT WHAT YOU NEED TO INFORM THEM INITIALLY THAT IS WHEN I [censor]ED UP MY CAR AND TOLD THEM WHERE TO PICK THE [censor] UP. YOU MAY NEED TO TAKE A SECOND JOB FOR TWO MONTHS TO SHOW ENOUGH INCOME THAT YOU CAN GET APPROVED FOR THE SECOND LOAN AND I CAME WITH TWO GRAND SO THAT GOT ME IN RIGHT THERE. THEY ALSO REPORT AS JDBYRIDER DOES AND MY NEIGHBOR TOLD ME ABOUT THEM. EVERYTHING WENT WRONG WITH MY CAR WITH JDBY[censor]ERS. WHAT KILLS ME IS THEY WON' TELL YOU. YOU KEEP HAVING THEM INSPECT IT AND THEY TELL YOU YOU HAVE A GOOD VEHICHLE WHEN IT SOUNDS LIKE IT IS DYING! THEY TELL YOU THEY TAPPED OFF THE FLUIDS WHEN THEY DID THE OIL CHANGE WHEN THEY DIDN'T AND THE TRANSMISSION IS [censor]ED! YOU THINK EVERYTHING IS FINE UNTIL IT FALLS APART ALL AT RANDOM AND THEN THEY SAY THEY DID NOT KNOW THAT MY CAR WAS AND I DO MEAN WAS ALSO A FLOOD VEHICLE FROM KATRINA! IT IS A HARD LESSON LEARNED BUT THEY DIDN'T GET ONE MORE CENT FROM MY [censor] AND NEVER WILL. ********NEVER DEAL WITH THESE [censor]****** IF YOU DO HAV A LOAN GET OUT OF IT AS I DID.

J.D. Byrider Worst reps ever

CNAC Customer Service Reps are the worst. I'm one month shy of it being 1 year since i had my car I never been late paying my bill but my last t

2 payments was late and I called them and let them know why I was late, but regardless of me calling them and letting them know they will still call and harass you anyway. it's time for me to shop around to get my car refinanced. Not only have this man called me about my own account with madness but he has also harassed me about someone else that have an account with CNAC that put me down for a reference.

J.D. Byrider beware

Upon applying for a car from JD Buy Rider I found out that they are big rip offs. They tell you how easy it is to buy a car from them but the are ripping you off. They charge you 3 to 4 time more then what the car is worth. Example a 2001 ford focus in my area with 111, 000 miles is worth 4350. They want 11, 995.00 for the same car. They tell you the higher cost is to pay for the warranty on the car. Then they tell you that the finance company they use is right in house. But when you ask what the interest rate is they don't know. They also tell you the cars are road ready, well try again I took a car on a test drive and it was a joke it was worst than the one I was trying to get rid of. So buyer beware they are worst than a loan shark.

In June of 2007, just a day before my daughter's first birthday party, a very desperate, stupid me was escorted to JD Byrider by a car salesman from Chrysler whom couldnt get me in a car.

I was told that this was the best of the best car companies and he they would treat me good. seeing as if the car salesman was a personal friend of my boss, I thought I was at no harm.

Well I shouldve known that this was a shady deal because they videotape the contract and make you sign tons of forms that say you can never sue them no matter what! You must take them arbritration court.

I had met the owner and he was honest and upfront with me, he told me that the cars were from auction and they werent the best cars but the service department would always be there for me with my 18 month warranty. (he told me they were some of the best guys in the business) I was hesitant because I was paying over $10, 000 for a car that was in perfect condition and low miles was only worth $3, 000. But I was ensured that whatever problems may arise from the car would be taken care of asap. Thats what I was sold on; was the fact that they would always work on my car no matter what!I was given an emotional speech on how improvng my credit would help me, and to think that the money I was paying was priceless considered to how this new car would affect my credit score. My credit score has barely moved in 18 months of on time payments.

I needed a car extremely bad and couldnt risk losing my job, I could afford $175 every 2 weeks because I had been renting cars for almost 7 months at this point. and was paying almost triple that. I thought I had nothing to lose.

I drove off with my new used car; not even 12 hours later after getting the car, it cut off on the freeway. They made me pay $50 to get it towed back to them. It was Saturday so the service department was closed. The salesman stuck a dealer tag on another car in the lot and allowed for me drive it until Wednesday of that week.

This was only the start of my problems. I never drove that car 2 weeks without it cutting off, smoking, or not starting. The service department would keep my cars for days, whenever i called to get the status on my car, coincidentally Mike, the service manager always picked up and told me that his best guy was taking it for a test drive as we spoke. No kidding every time I called I was told someone was looking at my car or taking it for a test drive, as we speak. I have fellow family members whom work on cars but I never let them touch it for fear that I would lose my warranty. Whatever Mike and his employees were doing to my car were only minor things to last for a few days to a few weeks. I was told several times by several passer byers on the freeway, gas stations, or wherever my car would break down the issues that my car had. I would call Mike and tell him, he would have my car towed, I would get a rental, he'd keep it for days, I'd get it back in a few days, and maybe 2-5 days later my car would have another problem. Ive been told that tape was used to patch things up. I cant beleive they would put my child and I in such danger!

Supposedly they have put a new engine, replaced the gaskets, fixed leaks, pipes, brakes, tubes etc. And my car is a ticking time bomb. I have never missed a payment in 19 months. Even when I was out of work for 10 weeks! I even pay an additional $50 every month just so i can get rid of it quicker. If you dont make your payment by 5pm, they send the tow guy to your home and work looking for you. Mind you the payment window closes at 8pm.

They stay right on top of your payments but not on top of their so-called guarantee. The worst thing is I shouldve done more research. I was just so desperate! Ive read horrible stories all over the internet. One involving death. But guess what? The contract you sign, says they can use deadly force to take the car if you miss just one payment!

Ive paid over $7, 600 for the car since Ive had it, they havent fixed my car which is now out of warranty. I havent driven the car since August. Im still making payments on time. i still have active auto insurance on it. My mom uses the car occasionally to run errands or to take my grandmother whom has alzheimers to appointments. Last week I paid them $60 to fix the heat. They didnt! They put tape on the engine and messed up the fuses in the car so nw the trunk wont pop for my grandmother's wheelchair. They need to be stopped! This is not the kind of business we need around praying on those whom are trying to repair their credit and have families to take care of. We need reliable transportation!

This story is all too common with this company. They are ruthless liars. I too kept up my payments like clockwork and in return received several calls a week reminding me of the next one. I did tell them to stop calling, they didn't. It finally got to the point I went to the dealership to speak with the General Manager. His response was "if you don't like it go ahead and take us to court, I'll be happy to show up". I replied with an equally sarcastic remark and this nut case jumped out from behind his desk and started yelling "get out of my store" at the top of his lungs while waving his arms all over the place. These are the kind of [censor]s they put in charge so it's no wonder there are literally thousands of complaints against them. I have steered several people away from them and will continue to do so for the rest of my life! You have to be a real low life to sell vehicles for J D Byrider, that's for sure!

I found JD Ryder co. in Downers Grove Il, to be a den of thieves. For 2 weeks I spoke to a Joe (salesman) and told him exactly what we could afford, what our budget would allow and what we wanted to pay.Joe said sure we can take care of you.None of the cars there were not only NOT in our price range, but so overpriced that I actually started laughing in his face.Mike the fanance guy told me a different story than Joe did.Tey lied the whole time to my wife and I.These guys are BAD NEWS! Do not deal with them!

J.D. Byrider Harassment

I have been on Social Security Disability since December of 2005. In 2008 I attempted to return to the workforce. In order to work, I had to have a car. My credit is very bad so I had to look at the Buy-Here-Pay-Here type car dealers. JD Byrider "seemed" to have the best deal. My CNAC account manager's name is Jesus. He would call me the day before every time a payment was due. Yes the interest was high and I had to pay a down payment of $1, 355.00; my car payment was set up to be $161.85 bi-weekly and Jesus moved my monthly expense numbers around to make it look (on paper) like I could afford this amount. CNAC would deduct 94 bi-weekly payments from my checking account.

So, not really having a choice (due to credit issues) I purchased a 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier for $11, 403.13 from which CNAC deducted the "down payment" from for a total of $10, 048.13 plus finance charges putting the total sale price of the vehicle at $16, 568.90. This vehicle is nowhere near worth that much. Kelly Blue Book puts the car's value at $4, 880.00 for a vehicle in excellent condition. This vehicle had damage to right rear bumper and right rear quarter panel, as well as, numerous other dings, dents, and scratches. The car was only in fair condition.

As I stated earlier, I was attempting to return to the workforce. In August of 2008 I got a position with a company that provided behavioral health services. I was only able to hold this job for 5 1/2 months before I had to quit due to my disability. In March 2009 I attempted to work in an office setting which had been my work history experience. I was only able to hold this job for 2 months. As a result of my disability I cannot work. I called CNAC and spoke with Jesus, informing him I was not working and could no longer afford to pay for the car nor the car insurance and wanted them to send someone to pick it up. Jesus refused to send someone to come pick the car up. After numerous attempts to explain my situation, CNAC agreed to take the car back, but only if I brought it in to CNAC. Again, I should have known better. I took the car in; I explained the situation again to Jesus. He would not take the keys to the car so I asked for his supervisor. The supervisor finally came into the office after making me wait about 1/2 to 3/4 of an hour. I attempted to explain the situation yet one more time. He threatened wage garnishment; I reminded him I was on Social Security Disability and that they could not garnish that income. He said this would hurt my credit. I explained that as of right now, my credit was the last thing I was worried about and that I needed to be able to pay my rent and buy food for my family. We went back and forth with this then the supervisor stated that if I would attempt to find a job, they would "hold" the car for me, regardless of my insistence that I would no longer be able to afford the car.

I did attempt to obtain a job but was not successful and all this activity was doing was adding more emotional stress and anxiety which interfered with my disability. Jesus has called me at least twice a week asking if I had found a job yet. I had to keep telling him over and over again; no I had not found a job. He would even go so far as to suggest places where he thought I could get a job. He stated he had also discussed my situation with his wife (which is illegal according to privacy laws) and that she gave him a suggestion of where I might be able to find a job. This is extremely inexcusable.
I have discussed this entire situation with my Case Manager, my Psychiatrist, and my Therapist. All have directed me to no longer accept the phone calls from CNAC; to write CNAC a definitive letter stating that what they are doing is harassment and that due to my disability I cannot work, and that since CNAC already has the car they are NOT to call again. Along with this letter, I am filing complaints with the BBB and other web sites where others have submitted similar complaints.

J.D. Byrider We have to stop them

Did you know that BBB processed a total of 5 complaints about jd byrider business in the last 36 months.

Of the total 5 complaint closed in the last 36 months, 2 were closed in the last 12 months.

The only way to really have our voices heard is to go through and file a complaint with the BBB. I was shocked to find my jd store had a A+ rating. We have to start now! I see a lot of complaints here but we must make them feel our pain.

If we flood there site with complaints like we do here thay will surly do something about this wild company.

In Customer Complaint History BBB processed a total of 0 complaints about the CNAC company in 2237 E Victory Drive Savannah, GA [protected]

If we don't do it, nothing will stop them.

J.D. Byrider don't trust

My mother bought a 2001 Ford Taurus from JD BYRIDER shortly after moving to arizona to start a new job after years of struggling she had finally a good job with a bright future the car was overpriced and we all knew this but my mother figured with her down payment amount and credit history she had no one else that was even going to consider her.

She has had the car about 10 months now with the warranty on it and decided to come back to colorado for a vacation on her first highway trip in the car she got a lil more than 100 miles out of phoenix and blew the head gasket called JDBYRIDER and they said if she paid to fix it she would be reimbursed for the whole repair bill since she had warranty she did so and returned to Phoenix and went to claim her money and they took one look at the reciept and told her it was a fake reciept she spoke to the supervisor and he told her to give him a few weeks to figure it out in the mean time she had a payment due and decided she couldnt afford it due to the fact she had put out 1500 to fix the car.

Few days later they came to repo the car and they couldnt get to it becuz it was in the garage so they called my mom askin for the payment she explained the situation and that she would make the payment when she got paid for the repair, the guy then told her she would be getting a check next week for $800.00 becuz they were takin her car payment out of the money they owed her, well the car payment was $300 shes gettin $800.00 that adds up to $1100.00 she still got screwed out of $400.00 and now the alternator went out...DONT BUY A CAR FROM THEESE GUYS WORST MISTAKE ANYONE CAN MAKE...by the way we still have the car and have yet to see a check.

J.D. Byrider taking our car for an honest mistake

We purchased a 2002 Dodge Stratus from this place because my husband wanted to rebuild his credit. Well we figured it sounded good and we needed a vehicle. Our payments were automatically deducted from one of our banking accounts, well on our 3rd payment I had by mistake forgot to account for a 8 dollar check that I had written, well our payment was 100 dollars. I was short 2.54 cents. We called them and told them our mistake and gave them my our other account to take the money out of. They called and said because we were late and didnt have enough money they were going to take our car. We told them we could pay them that day and they would not let us, we had the money and were willing to pay them but they saidmy husband wasnt working with them and he never gave them his account number. My husband travels a lot and needs his car, but they said they had to pick it up. They would not even work with us and they wanted the car back, we were going to pay them and they would not let us! If we were a few months behind I would understand, but we said we would pay them and they would not let us! So my husband had to tell them to pick it up because they said if he didnt tell them his address he would call the police on him and issue a warrant and take him to court!

I understand your issue.
Fact is that the court proceedings and warrant and repo takes weeks, if not months depending how busy the courts are.
It's not a criminal case unless it's clear u never intended to pay for the vehicle.
This was a civil matter that would have taken weeks to get the car back.
By then I would have depreciated it's value by the amount I payed into it 8-) if it really happened this way and they would not work with you at all and u never missed a payment before then.
I am sorry you didn't know the laws and the way the system works at that time Ms, I am sorry for your husband and anyone else this effected.

Better luck in the future.
It's hard to know the laws, but it's easy to ignore them at your own convenience most of the time as long as your not hurting anyone.

J.D. Byrider - repossessed car

I have a question and concern. I am not here to bad mouth that not what God want me to do. I just need some answers. 1. My car was repossessed because I was aweek late paying. Can they do that? 2. When I walked to J.D Byrider to get my car back, I asked what do I own? and how late was I ? I was told that I was a week late and that I own $164.00 for the car...

J.D. Byrider ripped off

I purchased a 2002 explorer on 4/27/09 with a 500.00 down payment. I was required to pay 2 deferred payments of 300.00 by 5/23/09. JD Byrider now has 1100.00. My contract payment was due on 6/7/09 for 180.00 (biweekly). I called and said I can't pay it until 6/12/09. cnac said, you have to come in discuss this matter for not having the payment on time. The out come is I lost my car, my money, and cnac said, I don't have my suv any longer, for not making my payment on time. Remove your belongings from the suv. There I was in the parking lot with my daughter in disbelief. I called the attorney general and he said to call DMV. DMV said they can do that. So whats my rights? They kept my money and kept my car. I want people to beware of this shady company.

J.D. Byrider automotive

Well JD Byrider got theirs when they messed with 18 year old high schoolers... The local JD Byrider dealer decided to send a couple con artists to my sons highschool. Well my son came home and showed me a business card he was given and he said the salesperson said he could get a car eve though he didnt work or have credit. It was towards the end of the school year so all the seniors were 18 except for a few. Well I get calls from a few parents that their child purchased these vehicles that had a blue book value of [protected] and they were sold to them for 12, 000+ at 23-24% APR. The reason they told me is because I am a Federal Judge. So I pay that dealer a visit and tell them I didnt approve of their "shady" dealings. I didnt tell them my occupation though. The manager comes to me and says "They are 18 and they need to take their diapers off". Well I left and told them "You are going to be sorry you ever did what you did and said what you said."

I make about 10 calls and my people spring into action... Fire Marshalls, Building Inspectors, Zoning Officials, City Council, Mayors all bombard the dealer. FInally the "owner" of the dealership finds out I am the onee behind all of this and he calls me. He says he is taking all the cars back and voiding all the contracts from the 5 or so cars that were sold to the seniors. So i personally see to it that all contracts were voided... But wait ha ha. I never called off the wolves and that dealer got destroyed with various fines and violations.

I think that's good what you did. Now I'm not sure if you look at this or not, But I have a question...I got a car from them back in Dec. 2009 and since then I lost my job and now only make about 400/month. I asked them if I returned the car would there be any repercussions and they said I would still have the voluntary repossession on my record, and I might still have to pay the remaining balance. Well, the reason I need to give the car back is I might lose my house if I keep it. I recently found out that they put wrong information on my paperwork. You see they make up a budget to work out the best payment plan for you. I pay 500 in rent and at 100 to my utilities each. They put down that I only pay 250 for rent and 40 for my utilities. Well I guess what I'm trying to find out, is Can I void this contract for false information? If you read this please let me know as soon as possible. You can e~mail me at sarahsleeper2007@yahoo.com I need to try and fix this, because I cant lose my house or I lose my son. Thank You for your time, if you read this.

J.D. Byrider Shady car dealer

Bought a car from JD Buyrider. The car broke down about every 3 or 4 months and I could not afford repairs so they had me bring it to a specific mechanic and then added repair costs to my loan. After paying off the amount of the loan I checked on the balance and still owed more than the original loan was for. I could not keep it up so allowed them to repo the car. Now 10 years later they want to garnish my wages for twice the amount of what the loan was originally.

I purchased a vehicle from JD Buy Rider which was financed through CNAC. I had been current on my payments since I purchased the vehicle in September 08. I had always made my payments on time. Until I had a minor set back. CNAC picked my vehicle up after 17 days past due. I immediately went and picked my vehicle up and paid the 539.42 for them re poring my vehicle. After to making the payments and contacting my family members from the West Coast and from South Florida the issue was resolved and I got my vehicle back. Eight days later my vehicle was once again repossessed by JD Buy Rider giving some excuse that my payment was eight days past due and that is why they repossessed my vehicle again. I feel that CNAC is a big RIP OFF and that they are taking advantage of the little people. I can understand if I had never made a car payment on time but to keep re poring my car for the own personal sanctification. JD Buy Rider Statement is "Good Cars For People Who Need Credit" Well I needed good credit and wanted to reestablish my credit now they have just destroyed my credit. JD Buy Rider is a company I will never purchase another vehicle from them they are very shady and do not communicated well. I never received anything in the mail that I had missed a payment or that the payment was not posted to my account they came like the theifs they are and took my vehicle for what? I was a loyal customer until these events happened. If you are purchasing a vehicle from JD Buy Rider...BUYER B WARE IS WHAT YOU NEED TO TAKE HEED TOO. THEY ARE SHADY...
