I am disgusted by the attitude and rude service of a lady named MANJU from Classic Removals Durban. All I asked was to a speak to a manager regarding a few queries I had about my latest statement. Instead, I had the phone put down on me twice, I was lied to about the presence of any management and was rudely spoken to. I have never dealt with a more rude person in my life. I have been a paying customer for months and the service I received was disgusting, especially from someone who is supposedly in the sales department. I trust that the management of this company will address this person accordingly.

We paid a large sum of money for our household goods to be packed and shipped from Singapore to Australia. An additional $3500 was paid for insurance. We were delayed in unpacking our stuff because our house was undergoing renovations at the time and we could not move in. The boxes were stored where the packers left them in a secure room that was not being renovated, so the builders did not do the damage. When we starting unpacking three and a half weeks later we discovered extensive damage had been done due to very poor packing and handling. The dining table had been dropped on both ends, my iMac had the screen smashed, the CD player was broken, several vases and picture frames were broken. Chests of drawers had been taped up with packing tape that peeled off the veneer when removed. My husband's tools were stolen as was my daughter's Xbox. Many small items that weren't listed on the insurance were destroyed and many items dented, such as the microwave and slow cooker. The insurance company is saying that because we informed Classic of the damage and impending claim 41 days after delivery, instead of 30, that they will not pay out. They are completely disregarding the fact that the delays were beyond our control and that our claim is valid. Both the Classic and the insurance company have ripped us off. I have files but far too many to upload here.

Got Classic Removals on Website while searching for furniture removal quotes, what a reasonable quote! Furniture was collected and informed us that delivery will take place the following weekend which did not happen and after enquiries delivery date was now either Monday/Tuesday. Monday truck arrived in city and we were informed that we now owed an extra amount of over R400 as the load was bigger and we never received any notification after collection. When questions was asked they reverted back and the amount was now increased to R998 & furniture will be stored at cost until payment was made. Refused to give storage depot address until payment. This has now become such a nightmare and we found 31 similiar complaints from people experiencing the same problem and some still without their belongings and no correspondence. How can such an untrustworhty unprofessional company still conduct business on a daily basis..how many more victims must experience this nightmare before something gets done! I refuse to be another innocent victim of their non communication dishonest and disrespectful so called service and will make it my mission to expose this company and prevent further losses and false pretentions for their own financial gain at cost of innocent victims

We moved down from Cape Town to Pretoria in December 2009. Everything was packed in record time... BECAUSE they stuffed as much possible into the boxes. They first had to load my home content. Firstly the truck was late. Then the workers loading the truck sat around for nearly a hour and a half doing absolutly nothing. I actually started to carry the boxes outsite as they still had to load our offices after loading my home content. Where my previous move down to Cape Town took about 3 hours this took Classic Removals the Best part of 6 hours!Finallly my home content was loaded, onto the offices. Once again I started carrying boxes etc outside as we where now past 4 o clock. The truck had to go and fetch the trailer that was scheduled to haul our office equipment down. This took nearly an hour and a half. Once the truck and trailer finnally pitched, the trailer was filled with somebody elses furniture. WONDERFULL! They had to remove some of the furniture to pack our furniture. A load that should have taken about 6-8 hours took them 12 hours to load. When everthing was offloaded there was some stuff missing which now after 4 months i am still struggling to get them to replace!

I used Classic removals to move my mothers contents to DBN this past week. I made payment in advance and was advised that it was received and nothing was owing by Christelle. Amount R1810. On Saturday when my goods are to be delivered, I get a call from Maria Saying I owe them Over R2000. I ask to speak to the Manager, Absolutely Rude! I told him i can only sort the difference on Monday and he says he will put my stuff in storage, that would mean I have to pay storage as well. They blame the customers for their miscommuniction. I will never use them again and would not recommend them to anyone.
