C&K Kustom Cabinets review: Poor and incomplete workmanship 3

We paid C&K Custom Cabinets in early August of 2014 for custom cabinets for our kitchen. After many delays and excuses, they told us to rip out existing cabinets on 8/31 as they would be coming to do the install that week. Based on the previous failures to follow through, I would not let my husband remove cabinets containing essential kitchen appliances. He did strip everything else out, and completely destroyed the original cabinets in the process. They did not show up as promised, and did not call to reschedule. Instead they arrived on 9/11 and did a partial install, and were angry that we had not removed everything on 8/31. They actually thought I should be without sink, stove, range top and dishwasher indefinitely while I waited for them to show up at random. They finally came again on 9/27 and installed more pieces. These cabinets were poorly made, and had numerous aesthetic and functional problems. They left a note saying they were missing molding, and we could pick it up the next day. We are still waiting for that molding, along with repairs for the pieces that are not properly made, and missing items on October 17th. Yesterday, they said they might give us our missing items "when they got around to it." Today they finally admitted they are never going to finish the job, citing the BBB complaint I made yesterday. As their work was not satisfactory, that is probably for the best. We are hiring someone else to finish the job. Using the photos I took throughout the project, the assessment on our home was reduced to 20k below the originally assigned market value. We definitely would have been better off with our original cabinetry. They insist on doing business on a handshake, and do not want checks. We insisted on checks. If you do business with these people demand a contract and do not pay the entire bill up front. They will not finish the job. They are also abusive and try to intimidate you into retracting your complaints with threats and other tactics. The photo below is just one of the poorly made cabinets.
