Citibank service

I am extremely disappointed with the service i received today July 24th 2018 2:05pm today at the CITIbank located in Lynbrook, Long Island, NY.

I went to cash a personal cheque at that branch and the service from the cashier was very inexcusable and unprofessional to say the least, I presented my ID and the cheque to be cash, the cashier decided to look at me then the cheque about 4 times before then asking me for proof of my address, which i have never done before seeing i am a non-client to the bank, i only have to on many occasions just write my address on the paper they provided and my number from other branches.

The cashier called another cashier and after reviewing the account, notes on the account indicated that i had changed cheques from that account before but still, she refused to changed the cheque, she waiting about 3mins looking at the account still, then got up from her post when in the back of the office then returned and told me that, they dont change personal cheques for that amount of money and also that the payto column writing does not match the other hand writing on the cheque so go back to the person that wrote the cheque and get them to write yet another cheque but with all the same hand written,

I left the bank, called the client that wrote me the cheque to clarify if anyone from the bank called to verify the cheque so it would have been approved and changed without incident, the client told me no one called from the bank, i decided then to call back the CitiBank in lynbrook to speak to a manager or a supervisor to explain to me why if previous cheque written to me with my name in the pay to line and they reminding parts of the cheque has already been sign by my client have been verified and change without all this runaround, why the hassle at this lynbrook location, that was my biggest mistake the supposed to be supervisor i was placed to explain my grievance too, ignored all i was trying to say, over talked me and to make matters worse decided to laugh while trying not to be listening to and even place the phone out of her hand while i tried explaining myself to her.
All that cashier needed to do, was to call the person on the cheque like what have been done in the past at other branches, speak to the person to verify that the cheque and all information was true and not fraudulent and asked any questions she had to validate it before cashing it, she did none of these things and the purpose of the cheque being written to be was to purchase equipment for the client to start a job for them.

If this is truly the way that Citibank in lynbrook has been taught to handle non-client customers this is one branch i will never be going to again and taking this matter further as the treatment i receieved was uncalled for and extremely unprofessional even after i called back and tried to get better clarity on the situation which occured in the bank,

Citibank unethical behavior

citicard has sent me repeatedly" act now before its too late"preselected offers. actually have 3 in last 3 months.so after much hesitation I decided to apply . only to be denied therefore lowering my credit score by increasing my hard inquiries! I have been trying to improve my credit score 648 right now, not lower it! thanks a bunch Citicard .why bother sending these?

Citibank general banking

On 07/14 my wife Yulia Loginova applied on CitiBank account in San Pablo CA branch. There was some question about her Permanent resident status and Citi manager (first name Florina) wanted to submit Yulia's documents to Central office for acceptance. Florina promised to reply ASAP. She called me back on Monday (07/16) and mentioned that the answer was not ready. No communication since. I called twice to the San Pablo branch this morning (07/18) and each time clerk promised me to call back. Never happened.
If Citi wants to refuse her application I will be glad to know the reason. And understand why clerks from this branch do tot keep promise to reply. I have to involve third party for this dispute because Citibank doesn't communicate.

Citibank rollover ira

I have rollover IRA with Citibank RPS in San Antonio, Texas. Since June 11, 2018 sent via certified letter corresponding closure of the account and check sent. I returned to USA from deployment; discover on July 6, 2018 no check was sent. On July 9 Spoke with several employees mainly female all alleging "do not speak any English or very little English and could not help me."

More so spoke with male supervisors could not help; only relief cam from female, supervisor who expedited my request for payment over a week ago but still have not received a check. It appears each time my request was made to expedite the predominantly Hispanic workforce or employees delayed the payment, alleging documents not legible, can no hear you on the phone, do not speak any English, laundry lists of alibis to numerous to mention . I have escalated to corporate my complaints with police report Citi "improperly withholding" funds is retaliatory conduct.

Citibank service - follow through/ extremely poor customer service

On May 22, called Citibank due to possible fraud in my account. After speaking to dispute department they blocked card and opened an investigation. After doing more research on my end I realized this was an error on my part so within 15 minutes I contacted disputed team back and cancelled my dispute. This was a transaction I made for reservation to hotel. I was told disputes will be cancelled but new card had to be re issued. At this point I assumed and was assured by the bank that there would no longer Be any issues. On Friday, May 25 my account was debited for my reservation and assumed all was well. On Tuesday, May 29 my account was credited back. I then received a call from the hotel I was staying at saying the bank asked for a charge back. I called the bank again and told them the situation I was told that I should call the hotel back and provide the new card number as the funds were sent back to my account. On June 11 the funds were deducted from my account and thought all is well. Then in June 15th another debit for the amount was taken from my account. I called th bank back and then spoke to supervisor josh whom seem to get it and reopened my investigation as the funds were linked to the other card but both cards are from the same account. I was again assured at this time that all was well and the the investigation was reopened. We even contacted the hotel and they advised that yes they see two deposits for me. I was given a provisional credit on June 20 and was assured that all was taken care of again. Then here we are now in July and the funds were then again debited from my account. During this time I spoke to numerous supervisors first Mihca whom was extremely rude and did not want to listen to my situation. At this point I was frustrated and spent over and hour trying to explain to here the situation. I had to force her to listen and tell her about herself having to use curse words because she was adamant that she was correct and I was not due anything. I made her call the hotel and they too said they have two deposits from me. One from the first card and second from the new card. I filed a formal complaint about her because she too promised and assured me she would follow through. I called her numerous times and the associate assisting me told me that she would call me back in 30 minutes. And never did. She never called the merchant because I called them directly to confirm and they said she never followed through. I spoke to josh whom seemed like he understood but a month later I'm still battling this issue. I spoke to another supervisor Cristina who too promised and assured me she will follow through and call me back with updates. That never happened. I spoke to supervisor Lourdes today and she put me on hold to speak to Cristina and then hung up on me after she too would hand hold the situation and follow up. Not a call back. Lastly I spoke to anither supervisor Ella who too said she is in contact with Josh, Cristina and the disputed department on getting my situation resolved and let's see if she follows through. This has been an ongoing situation that has been occurring since May 22. I have a mortgage payment that is in process and with their error it puts me in the negative. Absolute disappointment, the worse follow through and customer service. This has been a nightmare.

Citibank corporate account opening issue

me and my business partner traveled from europe to california to open our corporate account in citi bank. we visited a branch in sherman oaks twice in may 2018 to open our corporate account for [removed], our us edtech company.
we provided all the required materials to lucie derohanessian, a citi bank employee, a banker. we were ensured all was good by lucie [removed] and left for europe
since then our emails and phone calls to lucie [removed] and the branch have been ignored and the importance of the account opening was totally disregaded.
we request the account opening as soon as possible. all the information provided by us to lucie could be verified via yellowpages.com as lucie requested. would you be so kind and help us finish the account opening, please? we have been kept in the dark for more than a month now. thank you so much. have a great day. looking forward to hearing from you soon. Citibank minimum payment amount

This is me Rohis Sangroula. Actually, I have a account in Citibank, both debit and credit. But, since I was unaware about the monthly minimum payment due. So, I couldn't pay the due on time. I thought within a year I have to pay all the amount, but I was so totally wrong, which I didn't realize before.And, now the minimum payment I have to pay is around 270$, which is way too much, though I'll pay it some time later before due date. But, for now can you please reconsider about the minimum payment due, I don't have any other complaints but this. So, I would be really happy and satisfied if you only reconsider it and give me a chance to prove myself.

Citibank us money to euros

We converted 3092.00 us to 2500.00 euros came to the schaumburg branch in s sealed envelope handed to us not counted by teller and not gone over for counterfeit euros we are senior citizens first trip to Europe trusted the bank opened the envelope 2400.0o euros went back to the bank right away they counted came up to 2400.0o also spoke to the manager he went away to view a tape and went on to tell us they counted out 2500.00 very cold and said we can't help your have been a customer for over 30 years and that was how we were treated we went to the federal bank commission this is over their 100.0o mistake Citibank made we are waiting for a complete investigation this is a big problem maybe channel 5 can help us also but under the circumstances we will be considering closing the account and make sure we tell everyone about Citibank you have a thief working for your organization not good

Citibank misleading in giving the personal loan

i applied a personal loan of 5lacs, i received a call from citibank hyderabad to deposit rs 25000/ in fvour of hsbccanara ins ashiana, afterwards they demanded 30000/ 20000/20500/17100/10000/14500/24500/ in favour of hsbcobc insuranc ashiana, i paid the amount from my a/c, neither i received the loan nor the refund, oac nb 642137 and refund nb provided by the citibank is in2658citi, kindly solve as i am in urgent need of funds

Citibank blocked account

Since December last year, I have been receiving letters and notices that my account will be blocked if I do not contact the bank. I have been contacting the bank from December to today at least 2 times a month. And every time I called I spoke to a different operator and they all did not know what it was about and they had no record of all the times I got in touch with the bank for the same problem, and they all told me that there was nothing wrong with my account that was for me to disregard the warnings. However, at the beginning of this month, my account was blocked preventing me from accessing it for 3 weeks. I have been calling desperately all these days to unlock my account, but no operator knew what it was wrong, nor the supervisors knew to answer me why my account was blocked, I requested the immediate unblocking since there was no reason for such a blockage and even that they could not do, also did not know why they were not able to unlock. I have several accounts in automatic debit in my account that was not paid and is now charging me interest, I made a thousand dollar transfer to my account and the bank disappeared with my money. I demand that they take responsibility for all the fees and penalties that they will charge me and they say yes, but now upon entering my account I have seen that they are charging me the fees. This is absurd and a lack of respect for the client, I have never been through so much stress and embarrassment in my life and even more because I owe nothing to the bank at all. I demand a retraction and that all the fees and penalties that are going to be charged to me that the bank arises with all of them. Thank you!

Citibank trip delay protection

We pay extra for the aadvantage citicard to get the travel insurance protection. On may 20th 2018 my husband had a flight delayed 2 hours resulting in a missed connection, no flights out until the next day, his arrival was delayed 15 hours. The airline claimed it was weather related and did not offer any voucher or even a discount coupon for the hotel that night. Submitted a claim to the citicard insurance for the hotel room under the trip delay protection. The claim was denied because the first flight was not delayed 12 hours. When I pointed out he then missed the connection resulting in a 15 hour trip delay I was told the insurance does not cover missed flights. Not sure how they get away with this, seems like an insurance scam to me. On top of it all they insist a denial letter was mailed 2 weeks ago, we never received it. I called them 2 days ago and was told an adjustor would call me within 2 business days, did not get a call.

Do not count on the travel protection coverage on this card.

Citibank credit card payment

Hi Sir,

I am Selvakumar Ramasamy from Malaysia holding credit card. My card was terminated service during my oversea assignment . i wanted to settle full payment but ask for some discount. but Citibank malaysia Branch do not agree for any discount but maintain the month bill. I am unable to make the payment during the time due to need to travel oversea. but after i comeback, the citibank malaysia branch mention i have need to pay extra for the interest since i miss the initial date. Citibank most recent phone conversation (2:54 p.m. ct)

The phone recipient was very rude and dismissive. She was not a good listener. Too quick to say no to a request. She is not customer-centric. Her tone of voice gives the impression that she's rolling her eyes over the phone. Staff needs to be retrained with manners and patience. If I didn't advocate for myself, she would have never processed my request. She was worse than the service I receive at a DMV. If you don't know what that means then perhaps I will rethink about banking with Citibank. This is not the only time this happened. Another employee was also very rude to my mother who is a Citigold holder but because of her accent, phone person was plain rude, disrespectful in a manner in which her speech and tonality was delivered. Citibank needs to up their game in raising a culturally competent standard.

Citibank citi bank platinum debit card - fuel reversal of 0.75% not paid

I am using citi bank platinum debit card on IOCL petrol pumps for fuel purchase in India. Earlier I was getting fuel reversal of 0.75% on same fuel pumps but from 27th March, 2018 onwards, I haven't received the reversal
Already raised, 221806627 and nsr18031744 complaints via citi bank customer care. But, they say that those fuel pumps are not listed with citi bank.
But, on citi bank website, it's written that if we swipe citi bank debit card on any IOCL(indian oil) fuel pumps, we do get 0.75% reversal. There is no list mentioned as such.
I have swiped on few more petrol pumps but I am not getting fuel reversal from 27th March, 2018

Citibank citi double cash credit card

I have reported to Citi Cards that my credit card was compromised on May 18, 2018. Somebody stole my Citi Double Cash credit card numbers and made 4 fake transactions with the card. However, one fake transaction was not removed. I have contacted citi cards at least 5 times about this transaction. Every time when I contacted citi card customer service I was promised that this transaction would be removed from my account in 5-7 business days. However, after a month this transaction is still on my account. Now this fake transaction that was made for the amount of $166.57 from Quality Inn Hotel in Renton WA is on my Citi Card June statement.

I was charged a forgien transaction Fee, when I called to find what my options were the rep was not helpful nor was thier english clear. I've had the card for 31 years, I will be looking for another card, I am looking to change to a card with out a forgein transaction fee, I do not want to lose the Drivers edge points I have accumulated or pay a annual fee

Citibank telemarketing service

Received call from 03-2383 1100.. Cash loan offer.. The telemarketing staff talk with me with rude sound and and not politely.. Although the offer was interesting but i'm feel uncomfortable when chat with the staff.. Please check back voice recorders who's calling me (901221-08-5342) (016-5194479) at 12/06/2018 - 9.45am-9:55am.. Please advice the staff to speak politely to customer next time due she was telemarketing and the way she talk was so important.. Don't make customer feel uncomfortable and disappointed after pick up any call from 03-2383 xxxx. Hope to get a feedback from you soon.. Tq

Citibank terrible customer service experience

I have been on the phone with Citi Card representatives since 9 AM and it is now 10:54 AM and my issue was still not solved. I had to hang up on me after I asked them for specific information and rather than answer my questions they took time to review my account when all I needed was a due date so that I can make a payment. I originally called because I was locked out of my account I am still locked out of my account after three phone calls to assist me with being locked out of my account.

Citibank wire transfer issues

Hello,

I attempted a wire transfer on May 21, 2018. (Reference number 9F46W5K8)
The initial error was on my part - I entered an incorrect account number for a wire transfer I wished to make. I very quickly called Citibank to fix the error and was told that I would be able to adjust the account number immediately and the transfer would be fixed within a week. This was very important to me, as the funds had a deadline after which I would incur a fee. I was making sure to submit the money two weeks before the deadline and was assured the transfer would be done in time.

However, the bank had already returned the money, so the account number could not be adjusted. Citibank did not return my money to me and did not bother to inform me that the transaction had failed, instead sending me a notification that I should wait until I received further information. I checked my messages, contacted the recipient bank, and two weeks later the deadline arrived and I had no idea what was going on. I was finally able to get through to customer service, and only then learned that the transaction had failed weeks ago, and instead of informing me, Citibank simply held on to the money returned. According to the federal policy that was read to me when I first had to make an adjustment, Citibank is supposed to inform me of the results.

My biggest complaint is this - it should not take two weeks and my actively inquiring after the state of the transfer for Citibank to tell me that it failed. I should have received notice within a day of that occurring. I was also told that I could fix this error at no cost, and had two options - adjust the transfer at no cost, or cancel and send a new one at no cost. Citibank failed the transfer and I incurred a fee. When the transfer failed, I should have been given the option to cancel at no cost and send a new transfer, since it was within the original time frame and technically the adjustment was not, in fact, an option for me. At the very least, if the recipient bank will not waive the fee I do not think that I should have to cover it.
