I have Using your CITI bank Credit Card since 2007. (CITI Bank Credit Card No. [protected], in the Name Of R.Veluswamy). But i Couldn't make the payment for the last 2years i have explained my suituation to their executives and manager's, they planed and offering me to settlement of for Rs. 8000/- on 10/05/2010.(here i have attached the settelement Letter copy, pls find the soft copy), i made the payment on 11/05/2010. (here i have attached the bill payment copy, pls find the soft copy). and now i have received the a statement like received cash payment of Rs. 8000/- on 12/05/2010. and still showing payment over due pending...

Citibank fraud

Find Below my complaint to Citibank and the issue basically my father had an NRE account with my mom as a Nominee when he passed away we went to Citibank Connaught Place branch to transfer the money 1. to be welcomed by the most pathetic Manager who didnt really care and couldnt do her job 2. she informed us that there was no nominee on the account to later on find out from another branch that my mother was the nominee... Makes you think CITIBANK = FRAUD ... nonetheless to say that my complaint letter didnt get much attention...

I am writing to you regarding my dad'... NRE account
My dad passed away on 11th January 2010 and had my mother as a nominee on the account in case of death. I was amazed to know how your staff in your Connaught Lane branch (Connaught lane, Connaught Place, Delhi Indi) treated my family.

The branch manager or the person who takes care of those issues (whosoever it was), was RUDE, not polite and misinformed them about the nomination stating that no one was nominee on that account. Couldn’t even do her job properly and check things the right way.

The second thing which amazed me is your customer services I called them 5 - 6 times for information regarding the procedure to follow and each time was advised a new procedure it show how well your customer service representatives are trained regarding your products!

It is your responsibility to know your policy and procedures. It took us an incredible amount of time to solve the matter and a lot of stress and I am sure you can understand that this is the last thing one need in those circumstances.

From this incident this is the impression Citibank left me:

- Very poor customer service
- Staff fails to know their own products
- Staff with questionable ethics and integrity

I look forward for a coherent explanation on how this could happen and I am hoping that you would take some action with the person concerned in your Connaught Lane Branch.

Citibank overdraft fees

Beware of the high overdraft fees. I was hit 3 times with $29.50 each overdraft fees, and they don't let you know about it either. I spoke with a manager named Brian there to see if I could get a couple of the fees waived as I think I should be charged one fee, and not 3 since I wasn't aware of it, and they didn't notify me, but he was so rude. Go to a bank that would treat you better. Try Northstar, there rate is 4.01% vs. the sorry 2% at City Bank.

Citibank rip off

I opened a Christmas club acct with National City in 2008. I didn't deposit any money in it. In 2009 Dec. the bank called and said that I owned them $1, 172.52. in overdrafts charges. I was supposed to deposit money in not be charged over draft fees. Now I have a collection agencies calling at work and at home for the money. I told the collection agencies to stop calling me at work and I'm not paying them anything. I just hope this is not going to stay on my credit report. The bank should be ashamed. I know I have trouble with my banking acct. but not to be charges this much for a Christmas Club. Only my overdrafts was so high that I whole paychecks was gone, I couldn't get any help from the bank. They said that it was my problem I overdrew the acct. The bank charges 8.00 a day for overdrafts and 34.00 for overdrafts checks or items.

Citibank unetthical practices - bullying

Back in 2006, I changed my address on my Citibank credit card account on the day the payment was due. "The system" would not allow me to make a payment for 2 days, forcing me to be late. Even a call to their call center did not help, because "the system" would not accept a payment for two days following an address change. As a result of them forcing me to be late they increased my interest rate.

In late 2008, we, like many in AZ fell a month behind on our mortgage and sought a loan modification. Although we paid Citibank on time, they jacked up our interest rate. The practice is now illegal.

I stopped paying them. They are now trying to haul me into court after refusing to remove those inflated interest charges.

Citibank is a pack of unethical thieves. Corporate bullies. I will never do business with them again, and I would warn anyone else that they may be Citibank's next victim!

make your payment with more time to spare. You CAN make it before the due date you know . You willingly defaulted on it...which is gonna make the balance a lot higher. You dont get to pick and chose which bills you pay because you 'get mad' at them

Citibank I haven't received any favorable reply on my concern from customer care

This is in reference to one of my compliant logged with Citibank on 9th Nov, 2009. A ILLEGAL ONLINE Transfer (through NetBanking) of RS 55000/- happened on 03/11/09 from my CITIBANK Salary A/c to ICICI Bank. This transaction happened without my knowledge & permission as I didn’t shared my login details, TPIN, IPIN with anybody.

After noticing this problem I visited CITBANK (India) and submitted a written compliant. CITIBANK Team acknowledged & confirmed me that they will look into this matter. But sorry to say, I haven't received any favorable reply on my concern from Customer Care as well as from the person/team who is investigation this issue. Complaint Numbers: [protected], [protected].

Its more than 20 days now, and today they told me that its not Citibank fault & they cannot help in it. Hence, I would like to highlight this issue with the Citibank Higher Management & request them to act on my problem and help me in getting my money back.

Citibank deduction without intimation

Dear Sir,

This is to inform you that I am a customer of HDFC for A/c no-[protected] Account Holder Name Vijay Sharma, There is deduction of INR 3250.34 /- as AQD charges from HDFC BANK without any intimation, Which is very wrong as per customer service.

Requuest you to please make the credit for the same amount in my A/c with the explaination of this activity without any intimation.

Same is acknoweledge by BANK Also.

otherwise we have to do some leagal action towards the same.

Citibank loan modification fraud

There has to be something we can do. We are in a loan mod right now, and they change the way we pay, or something else changes. This bank is too big for it`s own good. They gave us an option in November to do a loan mod. We sent 3 payments in, then they sent 2 back saying there was no loan mod, They called again, this time more money was needed, and the packet did come. We have made 2 payments, now the last one is "lost". bs!.I have the cancelled certified check, and they cashed it. They are playing with all of us, no intentions of helping us. Misrepertation of the affordable housing act. We are the mouse, and they are the cat batting us around. We need to do something. Keep trying, I am. I am going to write to the newspapers, and the congressmen. Will let you know how it goes. Please keep me informed of any ideas, and a class action lawsuit sounds great!

They contacted me ten years ago and said that my loan had been figured wrong. it closed a year earlier. They also said my escrow account was short after the bank had just sent me overage from it requesting 1, 700 which I paid. The loan was my husbands and they asked me to sign his name under new terms that would increase the payment 200 per month. Like an idiot I believed them and the payment went from 686.00 to 886.00. I started getting notices from Citibank about loan modification fraud and figured it didn't apply to me since the word modification was never mentioned to me. Citibank hires crooks

i am also a victim during the process of loan mod from citibank, i put a lot hope on this program, but finally it got worst right now, igot notice of trustee sale on Feb 3rd after latest oral notice which a call from citibank on Jan 8, i just had a good time on new year because i got oral approval of mod about on Dec 28/2010, i was so happy since this third time application finally got approved, i was told that i would recieve this 3 month trail pakage with 20days.but only 10 day late, the citibank called me again
and told me denied again, and will forclose my house.so i have to start action, contacting nonprofit institution, attorney...etc, i almost decide to file bankruptcy to stop them auction my home first, ., , , , , , , ,

Sir, I require my friends latest dues statement urgently as they want to go for settlement of their car loan Account Number ; CEJ9961331452 . Please do it fast. Also provide the closer amount after providing complete concession. They have suffered huge looses and are not in a position to pay installments, Please please help them out.
Please send the all the papers directly through post to their adress or on mail. Please don’t send the papers through local people because they don’t want to get harassed any further. They were harassed to a level that they had decided to commit suicide.
We have already given a written complaint to the police authorities regarding this.
Since you are humans with heart and we can expect help in this connection from your side.
They are very good, helpful, human beings and are in real distress Please please help them.
We all friends have decided to help them

These banks really do not want to help. Unless of course its going to cost them more money by not helping. Obama should hav just forced the banks to give every loan a modification for 2 or 3 percent for 5 yrs, then it go back to the original loan period. None of this paperwork or filling out app. JUST ADJUST EVERY LOAN. These banks make you go through hurdles to get the mod. its not worth the trouble your just better off forclosing. Only then there ready to help because they are losing money.Unless your house is worth taking then they will take it. Dont forget these banks get subsidizes by the government for losses so there quick to help sometimes its better for them not to help.Thats why they should be forced to do every loan at a very low rate for they dont have the option

Citibank citi is obviously playing fast and loose with the truth in lending act

For Years we have been paying off our store credit card, through Citi for years. always paying on time when suddenly, we were hit with "Late fees". The bills were always mailed on time but Citi claims they were delayed by the Post Office and finance charges of over 3 times the payment were added.

Customer Service are useless and was not interested in any reasoning or proof of payment, And would only remove a small portion of the charges and then only if the entire charge was paid up front.

Citi is obviously playing fast and loose with the Truth in Lending ACt and deliberately staffing their phone lines with incapable or obtuse personnel.

I for one have lost all respect for Citi.

Citibank citibank/expedia $100 offer

I was booking flight reservations on April 20th when I was about to pay for my tickets a screen pops up saying your rate can change from $482 to $382 apply now. I applied for the Citibank credit card to get this offer and it approved me right away and then told me to pay for my reservations another way and I would get my credit card in 10 days. I was then kicked out of the reservation screen and had to start over trying to reserve my tickets. I repeatedly called Citibank to get the credit card number and they said I would have to wait. I repeated ly caLLED eXPEDIA AND THEY REPEATEDLY LOST MY CALL HUNG ON ME AND WERE UNABLE TO HELP ME. I decided to go ahead and book and then get the payment transferred to the citibank card. Expedia refused to do this. It was bait and switch. I never should have used Expedia their customer service is awful. I never should have taken out the Citibank card it was a lie they did not give you the $100 credit. I will never use expedia again. I cancelled the Citibank card. EXPEDIA will never help you they are horrible you have to call them 10 to 15 times to get through when you need them they will not help you. Citibank and Expedia made the offer and it was a scam. My reservations are not cancellable and they screwed me. Do not let them screw you.

Citibank encountered several problems with their online system, fees, and blocking of my account

We open a Citibank Account a few months ago and encountered several problems with their online system, fees, and blocking of my account. But the worse yet happened this week. I received a wire in my account for 2975. I needed to withdraw 2200 from the account the next day. The day the wire came in, the account was positive and showing the available amount. The next day I went online, it shows my account blocked. They are saying this is because the wire is still pending. How can the wire be pending if it was showing available the day before. A payment I had come into the account was return that day even though the wire was in the account and they charged me $34. I went to the branch and the unblock the account and release the wire and the rep told me that because she had to unblock the account that day, the only way I can get the 2200 out is that I need to cash a check. I did not have a check so she give me a counter check, cash it and give me the cash. So all is fine. A few days later, I go online and my account is blocked again. I called up and asked why. After 30 minutes on the phone, the connected me to the local branch and I ended up speaking with the rudest and most arrogant person there. He insisted that I deposited a check made out to myself to my own account. I told him that I never did this and this is ridiculous. He said that the manager is out and I have to wait to speak to him and although he understood what I was saying, hung up saying that there is nothing he can do. I waited the next day and called the branch asking for the Manager only to be told he was out again. So I called the 800 number and ask to speak to a supervisor. A supervisor came on the line and reviewed the account and say she does not understand why they would block the account and that she does not see a deposit made and that the account is contrary to the notes of the rude branch personnel. She keeps me on hold and calls the branch again. She spoke with a teller there who said that neither the manager or the assistant manager is there (assist manager is the guy who gave me a hard time yesterday) but she is aware of the situation and the check for 2200 came up on a manager's screen so he blocked my account. The "supervisor" came back on the line with a change of heart and said that if a branch manager blocks an account there is nothing she can do and that I have to wait to speak with him. I ask so what happens if the branch manager is out for days, what happens to the clients. She said that is a policy. I asked how can a large bank like citibank give such autonomy to one person who is out and no one else can help me and I am left hanging out to dry. She said sorry, there is nothing she can do. Needless to say this is about a check they are claiming I deposited, which I did not, and they have no record of it on their system, but by some magic the manager has a "screen" that shows a deposit and blocks my account and then chooses to be away for days and no one else can help me, not even a supervisor. Worse yet, they returned 2 payments I had to make and charge me fees on top of this. I find this to be completely ludicrous and I asked her to close the account and mail me a check for my balance immediately, which she did. If anyone wants to take this matter up at Citibank, I have the ID of the rep I spoke with as well as the names of the arrogant branch asst manager and manager.

I too have been a customer of Citibank for a long time. I pay on time and have never encountered any problems until the past year. First off I was told my line of credit was decreased when I attempted to use my card and it was declined. After talking with an idot, I accepted the fact and life went on. Today, I made my monthly payment, online, my account showed I had a usable balance but when I attempted to use my card it was declined. Well I called the company and was told my account had been cancelled on 5/13/10 due to the credit bureau report. I was never informed of this and feel they have violated some kind of law. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Citibank they will not respond to any request to investigate fraud, remove fraudulent charges

After 6 months of trying to get citi bankj/sears to remove fraudulent charges we still have no results. It is ok to charge fraudulent amounts to your sears/ citibank credit cards because thery will drown you in paperwork, ask for the same information you have sent to them 3 times already, and in the end they don't act on your information. We had a company (worldwide grant university charge 6 differant amounts undert 6 differant company name totaling $240.00 and since march 2009 have tried without success to have them removed. Citibank/sears does not care if their customers get ripped off. They will not respond to any request to investigate fraud, remove frudulent charges and will hang up on you when they don't want to listen to your complaints any longer. I would recommend going anywhere else and you will get better service and maybe still have money that you did not spend or authorise charges for.

That's ok I can understand. That's why I am filing a suit in Virginia. I am charging them with incompetence for they are trying to withdraw funds from a bank account that has been closed (yes I notified them PERSONALLY) since June of 2010 and they have the new account number. This is the thrid time that this has happened in under six months. I have filed complaints with the better business breau and the FTC. I am also interviewing lawyers to take the case. I suggest you do the same and file a complaint with the FTC. Good Luck.

Citibank refund issues

First, I mead a mistake last year, I paid my balance two times in accident. So I called recently to ask for a refund. The representative was nice enough to send me the amount back to my checking account.

However, when I checked my account balance today for Citibank, I found out that Citibank has charged my checking account again, with the same amount.

In December, 2009, I paid 662.48 two times.

In April, 2010, I asked for a refund, and the representative said "Yes, you can have the refund!"

On April 15, the refund was transfer into my bank account, a total of 662.48.

However, Citibank charged 662.48 again from my account on the 14th of April.

So I overpaid my account, I asked for a refund, then the bank charged my refund again.

What's wrong with this?

If there's no refund for a payment like this, why doesn't the representative just say it, instead of secretly charging me another 662.48 while giving me 662.48 for a refund.

Is there anyway I can deal with this? I've talked with the representative for about half an hour and he believes that his math is correct.

Somebody please help...662.48 is enough to cover my monthly expense plus rent.

Citibank citibank credit card not received

Hi,

I am having salary account in Citibank from last 2 years on behalf of that one your executive (Vijay Kumar) called me up & said that my Gold Citibank Credit Card is approved, for that I need to fill the Application form will receive the card in next 15 days after filling the form. One of the executive came to my office & I completed necessary formalities. But, I didn’t receive the Credit Card till yet. It is almost 3 months now.

I complained the same on India Service [[protected]@citi.com] on 26th Feb 2010, I put reminder several times regarding the status. Now they are telling me that they have not received my application after more than one & half month stating that they have already reverted on my mail but I didn’t get any response from their side. In that mail they have stated that they tried to call me but I did received any call.

I just want to know where my form is & necessary documents gone, I have the customer copy of my application form. This is not the solution which I am expecting, simply saying that they haven’t received the form. This is a security issue for a customer because some of my important details are mentioned in that application form along with photocopy of necessary proofs. I sent the mails to their Nodal officers also but are also not reverting anything. Neither they have sent an acknowledgment mail for the confirmation on my mail. This is not the way they should react to their customers.

This is my worst Customer Service experience.

Kindly look into the matter ASAP or If you are unable to track then I have to take some legal action against this issue.

My name Syed Shabeer.A i have applied for the credit card and i have given all the documents to the executive around 3 months back ... once in 15 days im getting a call saying that my card is approved but again and again they are asking for the documents . They have taken my id proof and photo but so for i have not recived my card . Is there any body to look in to this matter...

Citibank legalized crooks

After having had a sears card for over 30 yrs and have never not paid or ever gotten near the credit limit, they have reduced my limit to what my balance is thus making a dent in my credit report. Lets all file a class action suit yes the attorneys will make money but hopefull c bank will have to make some changes in the way they do business. Citibank can stick all there cards way up there - - -, I am going to have a big fire tonight and burn them, not worth the plactic they are written on. I would hope sears which is sinking fast would step in and stop this abuse.

Citibank it was frustrating to experience such a disgusting thing for the money that they didn't owe

Comparing to the nice and neat experience with American Express about a fault transaction, I should NEVER NEVER open an account with citi. The process of dealing with a fault transaction with Citi made my outraged.

I had a fault transaction on my account. I called the Citi. They asked me to confirm with the company that charged me. I called and confirmed that it was a fault transaction.

Then I called Citi to close my account. I though it was done.

However, it turned out that I had to call Citi again again, and again to make sure they send me the form to claim a fault transaction. Those of you who had called citi know the disgusting process where they transfer your call from one person to the other.

It was frustrating to experience such a disgusting thing for the money that you didn't owe. And it lasted for over one month.

Sub: My Dispute Case has not resolved.

Sir,
This is Surya Prakash Babu V. I am the credit card holder of citi bank from past 6 years. Till October 2009 there are no issues with my card and I am very clear on my payments. In the month of October 2009 (23rd OCT 2009) I did a transaction worth of Rs.100000/- in LEATHER CONCEPTS with my CITI BANK and the same day I did a transaction worth of Rs.120000/- with my HSBC card with the same merchant and ordered two Leather SOFA’s each cost around 100000/-. After this transaction I went to client place on my professional work around 40days and came back to Hyderabad. I made a call to merchant and asked for delivery of my SOFA’s. He gave a shock to me and he said I didn’t consider your order as my banker has stopped the payment to me and you will get the amount to your account with in your due date. I waited till due date and the amount was not credited to my account then I made a call to merchant and asked for the status. He enquired to his banker and he said it will take min of 45 days and max of 7 months. So I asked to merchant what I need to do now…He said, better to raise a dispute complaint in your banks. So I raised a dispute complaint in both CITI and HSBC banks on the same day that is DEC 2009 last week. I got the reversal of my HSBC transaction with in 45 days and I didn’t get the CITI bank transaction/dispute amount till today. CITI bank people asked me to wait max time till 1st MAR 2010. I made a call on 2nd or 3rd march 2010 and enquired about my dispute case status. They said till today we don’t have any updates so I asked to connect to your manager. They connected to NISHA (MANAGER) and she has handled this case. After two days she made a call and she asked the transaction cancellation letter from merchant stating that this transaction has not considered and didn’t deliver the goods to customer. So I collected the letter from merchant letter pad and faxed the same to NISHA’s extension. After few days she made a call to me and she said we are not responsible for this transaction and you need to re-solve or get your amount from merchant only. I said that this is not fair NISHA, if HSBC Bank people re-solved my problem why not CITI bank people will resolve the same problem. She said bank rules are differing from bank to bank. This is not the correct answer and I didn’t expect this response from her. Please help me out to get the refund of my transaction amount from merchant banker ASAP. Could you please consider this as my personal request and kindly re-consider my dispute case and resolve this issue ASAP. Merchant is not favoring or helping to me. I am expecting the help from you. Citibank irresponsiple customer service reps

Citibank NRI customer service representatives, each one of them have great ###ic ego, stupidest and least IQ in the world, got hired to handle their customer requests. Calling Citibank NRI customer service representatives, takes no responsibility in handling the task. Each one of them have some western names, disguising their true Indian names, there itself it feels like total fraudulent organization. When you ask they say their name some Tom, and you give all your details, argue with them for an hour, they pretend to know all and can not do anything, and will not transfer to anyone there with knowledge of the stupidest systems they are running business. Upon insistence eventually they will transfer to some another guy with fake name, and the story repeats.

Try calling them again and esquire about the guy you give all your account information and names they you got from your previous call, you will find they guy never existed in their system. now go figure.

I have no idea who gave Citibank permission to operate in US, hope someone monitor their operations.

Citibank bogus fees and interest rates

Citibank also hiked up the interest rates on my Citibank Mastercard to 29.99%! When I called them and asked them to lower their ridiculous interest rate, they informed me that there was "nothing they could do about it."

The payments were so high, I took a loan out from my credit union, double-checked the balance on the card, and paid off my Citibank Mastercard in full.

A few weeks later, I received a statement from Citibank showing zero balance on my account, but a charge of $97.54! When I called them to inquire about this charge, they told me it was a "pay-out" figure plus residual interest charges. When I told them it was criminal of them to try and get away with this, and that I did not intend to pay their bogus charges, they told me if I didn't pay the full amount by the due date, late fees would be added on, and would continue until this "charge" was paid.

The folks at Citibank are nothing but a bunch of crooks and extortionists. I will never do business with them again, and I will advise everyone I come into contact with to avoid them like the plague!

Few days back I enrolled for Ready to Credit facility provided by CITI Bank. After some days, I found that I am not able to view my actual account balance in Transaction slips of ATM. So, I called to CITI Bank on 020 [protected] and Talk to CSR for the same. I asked her to cancel my Ready to Credit facility. She asked me to follow the steps. I done as per she said. She asked me to GO to Fund transfer >> My CitiBank Account to Another Linked Citibank account of mine. And I confirm the same. She said me that The Ready To Credit facility will be closed for me. I was relaxed by now.

Now, today, when I login and found that my account is debited with 755.92 Rs. Talking to CSR for the same, said that its an interest for the amount. I am confused and frustrated. Beware!
