Circle K cashier

I am at a Shell Circle K and I have gift cards purchased from a grocery store for $50 a piece. Typically I don't ever have to use more than one at a time because that's quite a bit of money and I only have a small Focus. However this time one of them ran low so I wanted to finish that off and then use some from another card. The cashier did not know that it was not possible to do that on the same transaction or if it is possible they certainly didn't know how. Never mind the lack of knowledge, what really was bothersome was when I said just do it in cash I don't have time for this because he couldn't do simple math to take the balance out of my cash, he rudely pushed my bag off to another cashier and said he's going to cash you out. When I asked why I'm trying to give you my money so I can go I really don't have time for this he became belligerent. I am so furious at the lack of customer service in the absolutely rude cashier that I honestly will be coming back to speak with his manager I want him fired. Never in my life have I seen someone so crass and horrifyingly bad at basic math and basic customer service. What a poor standard this has become. I will be finding another location until this employee is removed

Yay for punctuation. My words to the cashier were, "Take it out of cash, I don't have time for this". Forgive the punctuation issue but the comment after that (because he couldn't do simple math to take it out of my cash) was an opinion on here. It was not something said to the cashier or anyone else.

Your comments about me being rude and bratty are incorrect and out of line. I did not give this person any reason to treat me so rudely.

Thanks for your comments.

My comment about not having time was about me not actually having time, not about his abilities. If you were there for the context you would understand that. I do contend, as I did with another comment, that people can misunderstand that. However, that comment was made at the very end when the guy was already being rude to me without cause. It wasn't about pennies either. The balance on the card I wanted to use was almost the entire total of the transaction. The difference was about $9 which was nothing compared to the $30-plus that I was spending.

You are for some reason assuming that I treated this cashier poorly. He was rude to me the minute I was at the counter. I imagine he must have been in a bad mood from something but simply asking him to use the balance from one card and pay the remaining total from another was enough for him to be angry at me. There isn't anything wrong with using multiple forms of payment either.

I wasn't being obnoxious in any way and I didn't treat him as though he was incapable of his job. After I left the store and left my comments, yes I did state that I don't believe that he's capable because I don't believe that he is capable. I do not believe that he was trained properly. The reason for that is because while I agree that machines these days can go nuts oh, he didn't even try. He honestly stared at me like I was in his way and causing him trouble by being there to pay for my services. When asking how much to pay and using the balance of the card he couldn't figure out how to put it in and even admitted to not knowing how. It offered to pay the balance out of cash rather than a second card to try to help because I know that is a more common transaction when paying with multiple payments at any place of business like this. Since he didn't know how to enter the amount from the card and use the card first, I offered to give him the cash part first. He waited for me to calculate the difference in the transactions for him because he didn't know how to do that so I had to pull out my phone and do the calculation that way.

If I'm being perfectly Frank, the entire time that we had this interaction I acted as though it was normal for him to not know. I didn't become irritable or rude or belligerent towards him. His co-workers apologized profusely for his behavior because they didn't understand why he was being so rude to me. I didn't do anything to provoke the negativity from the cashier. My comment about not having time was at the very end when I said then just take it all out of cash because I don't have time for this. But even then, I didn't say it in a condescending way or in a rude tone at all. It was a simple basic statement that I didn't have time so use the cash instead.

I get that other peyote may not understand the context and world assume several things based on the main complaint. Unless I did a play-by-play of everything, a lot of this stuff could get misunderstood. However, it is not typical for someone to post a complaint and for other people to start attacking that person. I never treated the guy poorly but because of the way he treated me I will not return there. That's how poorly he treated the customer.

You were rude to him so you had it coming to you. You had no right to insult him by making a comment about his math skills and that rude comment about not being bothered. He has every right to refuse to serve you if you are going to behave like an arrogant brat. Not all people are good at math. Maybe when it comes to math he has some sort of learning disability? I hope one day you have a child with a learning disability and that that child is bullied just because of that. I hope that that child comes crying to you everyday because of bullies like you. I agree that he handled it wrong. What he should have done was slapped you across the face. But he is a better person that you are so that is why he did not give you what you deserve. He has every right to refuse you service. You want respect you treat others with respect.

I am quit disturbed and disgusted by what I am reading here. How could you treat another human being like this. It does not matter if he is "used to it". You have no right talking to him like this. Also don't worry about having a child like him, because once a man gets to know you he would not anything to do with you. NO man is going to have a child with someone as ill mannered and disgusting as you.

We do not have to worry about her having a disabled child. No man will ever stick with her long enough to have a child with her. What s disgusting person. Even before she made that comment calling him an idiot I was shocked at her behavior. WHat a disgusting person. I doubt she will be missed. Must be a lonely person to go and harass a person disabled or not like this. I wonder if she was brought up this way. I feel bad for her parents knowing how she turned out.

Unfortunately, you are not allowed to do that. It is illegal to endanger people with seizure pranks. Even if the person is a disgusting human being. They have a right to safety as well. Though if someone were to get a seizure the OP would be the first to laugh at them and bully them. Though if you did manage to give them a seizure you can claim you are doing good far mankind. Especially the poor cashier that this person is bullying. I know if I had a child that was disabled I would talk to the manager and make sure that the customer is banned from the store. Since the customer is already banned from the store (by herself) this would not be an issue. And if possible I would have her charged with harassment and a hate crime. This is pure harassment. Posting about the employee in this manner both in the original review and comments is harassment.

I accept the comment about the "I don't have time for this" statement. Simply put, it was a statement about my time and not about his abilities but I'll accept that people can misunderstand that even though I didn't say it in a condescending way to the cashier. I didn't tell him use two cards as partial payment. I had told him "I need to use what's left on this card and the rest I'll put on a new card, however you would do that" (I've never worked for circle K so I don't know how their system would work regarding multiple forms of payment).

He couldn't figure out how to get it done and instead of asking for help from the guy next to him he got angry at me and told me that he can't do that because he doesn't know how. That's when I said to just take it out of cash because I don't have time for this. And that's when he shoved all my stuff in a bag and gave it to the other guy. The other guy honestly looked at him with one of those looks that says 'why are you doing this?' He asked him "why won't you just cash her out?" Even to his co-workers, the behavior was uncalled for. The guy that did cash me out was there for the entire transaction and kept apologizing for the other guy's behavior.

The statement "He probably doesn't" would help if you used context. I had said "I never said he had a learning disability. I don't know if he has one. He probably doesn't" in defense of everyone telling me I had said he had a disability. I didn't and I really don't think that he does. I think he wasn't properly trained. Why would that statement bother anyone? There's nothing disrespectful OR cruel about that. It's quite the opposite.

Not once was I disrespectful OR cruel.

Simple math is referencing the fact that he couldn't (or wouldn't) try to calculate the balance I would owe if I used the remainder of the card that was low. He actually waited for me to calculate that for him.

Simple customer service is referencing the fact that the only thing that went awry during the transaction was the fact that he didn't know how to perform the required action and became angry at the customer for it. I'm well aware that customer service itself isn't simple. I work in that field and know quite well what a headache it can be at times.

PS: I believe my learning disability would be related to internet searches and posting on the right forum... 😂

If you're talking about the "I don't have time for this comment" then read it again. I already contended with the fact that people can misunderstand how that was intended regardless of how it was actually said.

But when was it ever the customers job to provide better customer service than the associate that was supposed to be doing their job and wasn't?

You were rude when you made that time about him not being able to do simple math. He is only human with feelings like you so he gave you what was coming to you. He was not being rude to you. He had every right to refuse service to you when you made that rude comment. DId your parents not teach you better? You want good service and respect, you have to show it yourself. I agreed he handled it wrong. He should have given you a good slap across the face. But then he would be in jail even though you deserved it by behaving like an immature brat. You are rude yourself. Trust me you won't be missed. You need to work on your own people skills before criticizing others. I hope one day you have a developmentally disabled child and that child is bullied everyday in school because they cannot do simple math. THen again this will probably never happen because I doubt that any man would lay down with you and help you create a child. Grow up. Have you ever thought that maybe he has a learning disability in math. You started this while situation by poking making a comment about his math skills and making a rude comment. The only reason that he did not give you what you deserve( a slap across the face) is because he is more of a person than you are.

Hey genius. Read the post. I never treated him poorly. On my post I was upset and said that I feel like he couldn't do his job. I never treated him poorly but I did ask him to take it out of cash since he couldn't take it out of the card. Instead he threw my stuff to the other cashier and told me to get out. I didn't even raise my voice or say anything rude to him. I never once treated him less than respectful but here you are taking out on me when I'm the one that received bad customer service. You need to get your facts straight. I never made a rude comment to him. I posted on this site that he couldn't do basic math and that he couldn't get his job done. I never said that to his face. I never even got angry at him, raised my voice, or said anything rude at all to him. His coworker (the one that he gave all my stuff to so he would cash me out instead) even looked at him and asked why he wouldn't cash out my transaction. Even his co-workers had no idea why he was being so rude to me because I was not rude to him. Don't assume that I said anything to him. You literally created a situation where people are bullying me online because somebody said something terrible to me! Why are you doing this?

Well I suppose if you actually read everything then you might understand the situation a little bit better but I don't expect you to put in that much effort when you're just trying to bully people online. I personally tried to leave the coworker is out of the original post simply because I had thought that I was posting on the Circle K complaints website not a public complaint website. In that I had expected that the Circle K management would be looking at this and not some [censored] like you. That being said, the co-workers had done nothing wrong and I wanted to leave them out of it if at all possible. If someone decided to contact me then I may have brought it up if they asked but otherwise would have left it alone. It isn't sad to be defending myself when you guys mostly got angry for a misunderstanding on your part. I seriously didn't do anything wrong to the cashier and did not deserve to be treated like I was somehow doing something wrong by trying to pay for my services with a smile and a polite attitude. The comment about not having time at the end was after a 20-minute attempt for this guy to take payment and me being late for where I was going. If you want to take that out of context then by all means do so, but I didn't do anything wrong so kiss my [censored]

Besides if he has a disability his mother should have aborted him. I hope this idiot dies. People like him should not be allowed to live. He possibly had a learning disability and mommy should have drowned him. He is nothing but an idiot. He is stupid. People with disabilities and those who cannot walk should be drowned or aborted. Don't be selfish people. If I had a ret#rd like him I would drown him or have him put up for adoption. I talked to the manager. How are you to call someone immature when you are not even mature yourself? You need to grow up. Wishing something like that on a innocent unborn child. Why? It gets to be punish for something its parent did? You don't see the wrong in that scenario? That's the future of the world and you are wishing it to be a none functional person. And ppl wonder why this place is fully going to [censored]. How can anything drive and prosper when it's full of failure right from the begging. Wouldn't something like "I hope you fall and smash your head so hard you get amnesia and brain damage yourself to the point of your mentality being that of a baby. You have to be a functioning adult now but as well have to learn every little thing you even knew all over again." Idk seems a more legitimate punishment to me. I don't think you would be pleased if tomorrow you were all of a sudden being punished, maybe even to the point of death . For something your great grandfather did 87 years ago. Just saying.

Well there i a difference in Kneelfest wishing death on an unborn child and the OP. The person in question is stupid. He is disabled. He is so stupid and should have been aborted. But like the OP said his mother is too stubborn to abort him. The cashiers life should have ended before birth, or just after, or when his mother found out that he has learning differences. That is different. He is being immature by defending this reject. Why this person is so stupid that instead of paying him to do cash and wasting my time by not having simple math skills because he has autism or something they should use him as a coat hanger. Have all the employees use him to hang their coats on him. If this reject died no one but his mom would miss him. No one lives him. He is too stupid to find a girlfriend. The difference between I wishing death on the cashier and kneefirst wishing death on me is that I not a hopeless reject that is born stupid. That was born slow and idiotic . This is why I am taking the OP's side. She is right, you guys are wrong. The OP has every right to a life, but the cashier, is a total idiot. He was born an idiot. He should not be working. If he is they should pay him ten cents an hour to be a coat hanger. Then again maybe the idiot is too stupid for that. All he has to do is hang his hands out and use them as a coat hanger, but since the manager told me that he was disabled I am sure that he will mess up being a coat hanger. He should have been aborted because he is useless. There is a difference.

Traveling to Walla Walla VA Hospital, stopped for fuel. Restrooms had out of order signs that looked like they had been there a month. Pretty sure restroom available or at least Anna could come out of office and explain. Cashiers looked sheepishly embarrassed.

Circle K customer service

This store in 24 hours. There was a sign on the door that said day close back in twenty mins. I waited 30 he still hadn't opened the door. When he did, I told him what happen to twenty mins. He then snaps. I snapped back. He then called me homeless and get out his store first. I'm not homeless. He always does this crap. I go in that store all the time. The other lady who works doesn't do that and is very nice about the process. He is rude as hell. He does this every time he works.

Circle K customer service

I went into the circle K store having a good day because it was my day off I bought a three pack of Budweiser and when I got to the counter I was asked for my ID understandable I had forgot my ID so I left the store. When I came back to the store with my ID because I only live 2 minutes away I was reading with a attitude by the customer service rep by the name of Celina. I told her I bet you didn't think I was going to come back here did you I said but I'm not one of those people I actually do have an ID she rolled her eyes and I said it's fine just bring up my items and she said I will I'm refusing to sell to you.. I could not understand why because we were not arguing in anyway shape or form when I did leave the store the first time she's gel twice have a nice day have a nice day which I did find a little rude but I just shruged it off . The problem is is that she was intentionally trying to ruin my day which is not okay in the customer service industry in Associates should not be permitted to refuse service to anybody especially when I am a regular customer there. It was embarrassing the other people in line looked at me like if I was some sort of scum and I felt low I never wish anybody to have the experience that I had today at the Circle K on the corner of montwood and Zaragoza I left that store location and drove to Murphy's and received the best customer service and I did all day. I will not be returning to that store

Circle K cashier

Visit this location often, at least 3-4 days a week. I was thrilled it was being remodeled and couldn't wait for it to reopen. Now, I will avoid going there until the young male cashier is gone. Don't know his name but he was working today, 4/13 at approximately 3pm. I have had this same experience with him numerous times before. He is the only employee there and he is slow. There is a line almost going out the door. He is slow and doesn't care to rush because he is also taking a bite out of his sandwich in between ringing customers up. He also chit chats with customers, very nice but not the appropriate time when there is a line going out the door. I seriously pray he's not there when I open the door and he usually is. Won't be visiting this store until he's gone. Can't waste 7-10 minutes of my time to pay for items while he eats, drinks and takes his sweet time ringing up customers.

Circle K lack of leadership, open hostility, sexual harassment, fear and intimidation

So how many more great managers does circle k need to lose due to a hostile work environment perpetuated by your market manager, Elmer Gomez? Constantly threatening store managers jobs, retaliating if they even mention HR, openly favoring "Applebee's" type looks, directing managers to only hire good looking employees directly saying in a meeting they need to hire "Applebee's " girls...just investigate you may be amazed. 3 managers currently in place without 1 day of MIT training, openly biased toward LGBT, tells managers they can't hire/promote someone due to looks.

Circle K violation of oklahoma state law

Good Morning,
My name is Matthew Higgins and I'm a veteran wanting to speak to someone who can help resolve an issue that put my mental and physical state in danger. At approximately 12:50 am I walked into the store that I had traveled several miles with my service animal that has been granted to me through the VA and was told in a very disrespectful way that I had to leave and when asked why, I was informed that my animal could not be in the store, I informed the clerk politely that it was my service animal and witch she replies. "NO it's not it doesn't have a vest you have to go now" at that time I asked her to please Google Oklahoma State law on service animal rights and she told me to go very unprofessional and in Front of several customers witch caused me to have a sever case of anxiety and embarrassment so I left with out the items I needed to take my medication and provide water for myself and my animal who suffered from dehydration and without transportation or a cell phone was forced to continue my walk home and suffer further health and mental anguish, I expect to have this situation taken care of in a timely manner and to be compensated for damages and if not I would prefer to not have to seek the professional help of the Oklahoma News and Disabled Veterans association and an attorney to further my problems.
Respectfully
Matthew

Circle K buying gas!

I went to Circle K to buy gas! You guy had the cheapest price in town so I decided to patronize your store. It was 1 am in the morning and I just left the gym and was on my way home! So I stopped at Circle K Store #6205. I went inside because I had cash. The guy working seemed really annoyed with me being there so he finally asked " Can I help you?" So I said yes I need 25.00 on pump #1 so he said okay and took my money and that's it! So I went out to pump my gas and pressed the regular button. It started pumping and I'm checking over my car in the process. Then all of a sudden it stopped! So I looked up and it was at 25.00 but it was selected "Premium" which was 3.49 a gallon and not the 2.89 I wanted. Needles to say I was not happy by this! So I attempted to go back in and he had locked the doors! This place is supposed to be open 24 hours! So I had no choice but to leave! I'm not happy and feel I should be compensated with at least a gift card so I can get my money's worth of gas and not the "Premium" fuel I didn't ask for!

Circle K slip and fall incident at the store

On 3/20/2019 my Aunt was in the store at approx 9:45 pm when she fell alongside an isleway where drink cartons were displayed. As a result of her fall she fractured her right wrist and sustained soreness to her right side shoulder and hip. We notified the store personnel and asked for an incident report to notify Circle K of the incident. There was no report form for us to fill out. I asked to speak with the manager, however the managers phone went to voice mail. We left contact information.
on 3/22/19 I called the Circle K Store and spoke with Manager Nikita She told us she had reported the incident to the Corporate office along wiith the video.
As on 4/7/19 we have yet to here from anyone representing Circle K

Circle K employee behavior

My friend and I went to Folley Beach for a beach day and out first stop was this circle k location. We needed water and also we got ibuprofen because we both were having menstrual cramps. The line was insanely long we waited almost 30 minutes, and because of this we opened our waters while waiting in line. We happily waited and just chatted. When we got closer to the front of the line I realizes that it was going so slow for two reasons 1. there was only one cashier and 2. she was going incredibly slow. Thats fine though we were not mad or worried at all. When we got to the front of the line the cashier rudely helped us. She had an attitude from the get go. We put out waters and ibuprofen on the counter and she scanned them. A few seconds later my friend picked hers up to take another sip while we waited for the card to process. Apparently her water hadn't scanned properly, but instead of telling us this and asking for the water back or even politely asking us not to open the water until she was finished the cashier grabbed it open out of her hands with her hands touching the opening of the water. That happened several times over and over and she would give her a chance to put the cap on. We still were just letting it all go just wanting to get out of there. While this was happening my friend accidentally dropped something and said a cuss word to herself. The cashier yelled "Hey Now!" and my friend said "what?" She didn't understand why she was yelling she did not even know she heard her. I (being from the south) said to my friend "we are in Charleston". Meaning southern people are more polite and don't like cuss words. My friend then said "Whoops". Then the cashier yelled "Are you two okay?!" We still did not react to this and just said nothing. So at this point the water had still not scanned and the woman was still holding the open water bottle with her hand touching the opening and refused to let her cap it. My friend said "Can I please have the water back so that I can put the cap back on so that you do not touch the part where my mouth is going to be" The cashier scolded her for opening it and said no. Now I would totally understand if she would have politely said they prefer we don't open the water before we paid for it and politely let her cap it while she held it, but her attitude and rudeness was completely uncalled for and you cannot treat customers this way. Also when you wait in line for 30 minutes at a gas station I don't think we can be blamed for taking a sip in line. So when the water finally scanned and after we were yelled at for having an opened water bottle I decided I wanted to know the woman's name because her attitude had gone that far. I politely asked can I please have your name. She shoved a name tag in my face (which didn't have her name on it) and continued with her rudeness. It was not there so I said I don't see a name and she finally told me her name was Leslie and I said thank you. She gave us the receipt and my friend started to walk away. I hung back to select that "very bad" service option that came up on the screen that was asking us how our experience was. The woman then yelled at the top of her lungs "thank you m'am have a nice day enjoy your hangover". Now everything else was one thing but this is completely unacceptable. First of all we were not hungover as I mentioned earlier we were both having menstrual cramps. I don't even drink I am here in Charleston working and wanted to go to the beach, but even if we were hungover she cannot speak to us that way. It was some of the worst customer service I have ever received and she embarrassed us in front of the entire store because don't forget the line was 30 minutes long, and for what? because my friend said a cuss word under her breath accidentally in reference to accidentally dropping something or because we took a sip of a water bottle waiting in a 30 minute line. I feel extremely disrespected and honestly she should be fired. If she can't learn how to deal with customers then she should find a new job. Also she couldn't even do her job it was taking so long because she was able to properly ring people up. I will not stop until I speak to someone about this matter because it honestly ruined my day to be spoken to like that.

Circle K employees

The employees and citizens are making drug deals right in the parking lot. I have witnessed it many times all hours of the day. Have watched employees set in their car and do drugs. Smoking something from a pipe and have seen employee set in a vehicle and ingest something up her nose. Could also see white substance hanging out of her nostril when she went back inside to wait on customers. A lot of drug activity is happening right in your parking lot by the employees while on the clock. Many complaints have been made to the store manager about this situation. I know I am not the only person who has brought it to her attention. I have seen other people even complain on social media about this drug problem in your store.

Circle K awful customer service

I have been a patron of circle k for years. I get my coffee from there faithfully everyday. This was about my third or fourth time going to the circle k at 3289 avent ferry rd, raleigh, nc, 27606. Also my first time encountering this lady. The worst part is I believe she's a manager. My dad, my fiance and myself were there getting drinks. After paying for their drinks, they realized that the store had drinks that were colder in ice right at the front. The exact same drinks. The last began to get erratic and go off saying it's against the rules. So they said ok... But she tells them to go ahead and switch them. When they said they would just keep the ones they had. She went off.in front of multiple customers. Telling them both to leave her store! She's calling the police. I have never been so embarrassed and violated. This is my dad first time visiting me here. That was a awful experience. After I asked her was it really that serious and necessary for them to be treated like that? For her to call the police. The other customers that seen it were even disgusted. Some put their merchandise down and left. It was so bad that one customer gave me her name, number and even her receipt. Just in case she really called the police. That she was a witness. She was even nice enough to get me coffee after I was threatened by the police and told to get it of the store. I hate to say she was racist. But I don't know. I only she's evil for sure. She does not need to be in that position. She needs to be trained all over again.

Circle K cashiers

So I am a new mom with a small baby and I came to get gas and some candy. So I go inside and put $10 on pump 4. I pay and go on about my way to put my daughter back into the car and then pop my gas door to pump gas but nothing was coming out of the gas pump. So I look at the pump and it says "please pay cashier first" and it keeps beeping at me so I hit the "help" button a few times hoping they'll notice and fix whatever mistake they may have made by accident. Then I look towards the circle k building (the sun was out and the glass is crystal clear so I could see both cashiers through the window perfectly.) and they were literally laughing at me... So my initial thought is maybe the guy cashier put it on the wrong pump and she was laughing at him so I just kind of waited a few minutes by the pump for them to fix it again and nothing happened so I had to get my sleeping daughter back out of the carseat and close my gas cap to go all the way back inside and they were both just looking at me. And I was so confused holding my daughter I just asked them "what happened to my gas" and he continued to just look at me and said "what?" so I told him I paid for gas on pump 4 and he may have put it on the wrong pump because no gas came out. All he said was "well I put it on there"... So he continued to just not do anything so I asked him again to put the gas on the pump because I paid for it and he was just looking at me as if I was a liar? So at this point im just blown away by how terrible they are being to me for literally no reason and I ask him again to put the gas on the pump. He turns and doesnt say anything to me while he does something for a few seconds on the computer and then just says "ight its on there". So all I asked was "are you sure?" because my daughter is heavy and it is difficult to carry her in and out of the store multiple times and its also beating hot outside. And the female cashier is in the middle of helping a customer and snaps at me "um its not his fault though it happens sometimes so don't blame him" super rude, wasn't even nice about it at all. I literally just wanted my gas and a candy bar and these people played with my hard earned money, instead of helping they laughed at me while they seen I couldn't pump any gas, was extremely rude to me when I asked them nicely if they could put the gas on the pump, and all while I had my five month old daughter in my arms. I could hear them talking about me as I was walking out.. Completely uncalled for and I felt extremely uncomfortable, ganged up on, and discriminated against either because I was white and they weren't or because I was a single mother with my daughter just trying to get gas. Either way I hope they are fired or atleast retrained to be better to their customers. I work at wells fargo and circle k banks with us so I see the managers make deposits often, they are all very kind. I even used to work there myself so I know this isn't acceptable behavior for circle k employees. They really ruined my day and I don't think I will ever step foot into another circle k ever again.
