Circle K poor working environment

I was employed with circle k up until yesterday when I was to the point I had enough of the poor working conditions and poor management. I worked days shift with assistant manager that would not assist in helping with checking customers out instead stayed in office while I waited on long lines and upset customers complaining that things were not filled, out of this and that cursing at me and when she came out is when I said maybe the manager here will come out and fill whatever needs done since I was unable to tend to the grill the coffee trash . The employees have no access to a phone since it is in the office and management locks the door. We our a high volume store and seem to always run out of stuff. We have had such a turn over since I started there eight people have quit or got fired I walked out because of the stress of being unable to step away from the counter long enough go to restroom and no help being left to attend to very long lines and hostile customers. For one week we had trash so bad overflowing in the dumpster that we were stacking it in the hallway in the store. Drug addicts shooting up in bathroom that employees have to use fire exits blocked with stock exposed wires in storage room . Drinking in parking lot by homeless people solicitors hanging around. I need someone to get back to me regarding this matter I will be consulting an attorney for aggrieves against this store located at 1100 North kings hwy Myrtle Beach SC store 8111 please contact me at [protected]@gmail.com.

Circle K standing outside

Every morning from 5 to 6 am there are 2 guys that stand outside of the circle k on Gilbert and Juniper. There are only 6 parking places at this store and they take up two of them. As you know that is one of the busier times for circle k. The also stand out there and smoke and it stinks bad every time I walk into that store. I have noticed them out there for the past two years and they are there just about every day. I thought that you guys had a no loitering policy. If you could please address this situation I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you very much.

Circle K unfair working conditions

I am currently an employee with this store and I go to work and do the job I was hired for. so I am getting told by my store manager that I do not do my job. I was also told by my store manager that I am being taken off the schedule for this week and when I come back I could either do my job or find something else. I honestly think she doesn't like me because I don't gossip about other employees behind their backs like the employees at this store seems to do. I also believe that the other employees aren't doing there job that they are suppose to do and blaming it on me. I took a 100 dollar bill and followed all procedures for taking it and inspected it and was called some time after my shift by Sharon Dunham and told I took the 100 dollar bill and was also told it was fake and she didn't call the police to have them come and confiscate it. she made the gentleman come back to the store and pay the 100 dollars back and kept the fake 100 dollar bill and it still remains at the store. I would really appreciate a transfer possibly within the same vicinity of my home. you may contact me directly with any questions Cell [protected]. Home [protected]. Circle K they only care about money

Circle k has to be the worst company to work for. Even during a natural disaster all they care about is money. The market mgrs, the corporate big wigs. Only care about money. They have employee's that have lost everything in the floods a week ago. And the company has done absolutely nothing to help their employees. Who work like slaves for 7. 25 an hour. Circle k. Is a horrible organization. They recently cut the mgrs pay without them knowing and denied it the entire time. The market mgrs are no better because they lied to their store mgrs. To cover up the pay cut. I would not ever suggest anybody work for circle k, they promise things they never plan to deliver. They work their store mgrs like dogs. And even when they are off the clock they still have to deal the those crappy ### stores. They put those people lives in danger everyday. The customers are rude. They are spit on cuss at and sometimes even attacked. And circle k will fire them if they defend themselves against a customer because they would rather lose an employee rather lose a paying customer no matter how rude, violent or disrespectful the customer is. All they care about is money. But circle k you need to remember those are the same people who work like dogs to make you money. The same people you treat like crap. They should all walk out on your company. See how much you make then. Circle k. Is the cheapest. Company ever. Wanna keep it all for the big wigs. I will never spend anymore money with that company. And i'm suggesting my family does the same.

Circle K general service and rude staff

This applies to circle k on e thomas rd, pheonix.

I spend a lot of money here. I'm getting tired of the complete rudeness and righteousness of staff who clearly think their job is to police the public, instead of provide easy service.

A new, rude young worker by the name of dillon - nearly put me in tears last night with his appaulingly brutal and entitled attitude.
I was given the wrong cigarettes and 'warned by staff' that they wont exchange it (Excuse me? I order the same pack every day - and you failed to listen).In fact, generally - they all seldom listen. A fat girl, who thinks she can speak to 30 somethings like we are meek children. I am a professional. I don't need this rudeness and resistance. Another girl who looks homeless, and constantly complains about her life to me. This is not why I go in.
I'd like to know, why in a country that reveres services - it is okay to have a full staff that are untrained, rude and believe they are better than others?! This is ridiculous.
I'd like a response. A reprimand for dillon. And some compensation for my emotional pain. These people are bullies. Never attentive. Not supervised. I have lived all over the world. This particular vendor is the worst place, I have ever experienced.

It's simply not good enough.

Circle K terrible customer service

On Wednesday, 8/10/16, my son entered the Circle K at 5600 Auburn Street in Bakersfield, CA 93306 to purchase soda and chips. He was hot, tired, and hungry after a whole morning of marching band practice. His school is around the corner from this store. He casually dropped his $20 bill on the counter to pay for his snacks, and the clerk (who is apparently the manager?) took great offense to it and accosted him, accused him of being disrespectful, and told him to get his "fat a**" out of the store. He said he could go to the back of the line until he could be respectful. Unfortunately, my son did not simply leave the store without buying anything. He went to the back of the line, and when he got to the front again, the clerk said something like, "Are you going to be respectful now?" My son is a very respectful and obedient young man, and a 4.0 student who has won multiple academic and musical awards. He's sensitive and would not want to offend anyone. This treatment was entirely out of line. He was shocked and upset. This clerk/manager is blonde with a blonde beard. Unfortunately I do not have his name. When my husband went to the store this morning, the manager was "not available" and he didn't see the man in question. I've posted this on several sites and have contacted the school administration so they are aware of the incident in case it happens to other students. If this kind of treatment is given to students who truly are disrespectful, they could retaliate and the incident could escalate to vandalism or worse. This store has a reputation in the neighborhood of poor customer service. There is no excuse for this behavior.

Circle K bad customer service

I went into the Circle K on Temecula Parkway (Ralphs shopping center) to pay for gas with dollar coins and was told that they don't take them because they cant get rid of them. Rosa the cashier then told me to go deposit them in my bank and come back. Really, its not like its a $100 bill. She insisted that she wasn't going to take them. I asked for the corporate phone number and was told that I can look it up. I will pass on getting gas from this station and will advise my family and friends to do the same until someone acknowledges my complaint. There is a Chevron gas station being build on the same parkway. Maybe its time to make a change.

Many places do not take rolled coins or handfulls of pennies either. Businesses are allowed to decide what currency types they will take. Go elsewhere.

Circle K lottery tickets

I bought a $10 lottery ticket 7/31/2016 around 11:35 am give or take a couple minutes as I walked out of the store I realize that there were scratch tickets play area for the great deal of what was underneath I went back and ask about it and the clerk quickly asked me if I wanted to exchange for another one, I wasn't sure what to do at that point so I hesitated and another clerk came up and said no we can't exchange tickets. I photographed the ticket outside standing in front of the door and then went to my truck and photographed it from all angles. Later on that day at 5:16 PM I bought another one but pretending to be preoccupied with my phone I video taped the clerk as she got it out. You can see clearly by the video that she pretends to be ripping out a new ticket but exchanges the next ticket in the role for one she fishes out from underneath The stack. You can see it from several different indicators. Later that day I called the lottery office security and told them about the problem in a message. Monday morning I got a call from the office and they told me that I should bring the tickets or mail them in that they would look at them and decide whether to start and investigation. I ask if I would be reimbursed for the tickets which I had not scratched in order to keep them just as they were and he said no promises made. After some thought I went ahead and scratch them . The second one that I bought at five was a loser, the first one I bought in the morning break even $10 $10 ticket. I have all kinds of evidence of the fraud and tampering but the lottery doesn't care. what now? I'm out $10 bucks and no body to turn to. the circle k at power and southern .

Circle K cashier's very rude behavior

On the evening of July 25, 2016 I went into my corner circle k store to purchase cigarettes. I had six dollars in quarters. I put the change on the counter in six piles of four and waited for the cashier who now had her back to me and refused to ask what I needed. There a few other people in line behind me as well as a couple in line at the other register who where being refused service as well because they wanted to pay with change. Both cashiers had terrible attitudes and said they didn't take change. Last I checked quarters where currency. I was embarrassed and offended. I will never return for anything again.

Circle K cashier behaviour

To whom it may concern,
I have been a customer of Circle K for many years and have never been treated like I was treated on the night of 7/24/2016. I went to the out side window to purchase 1 can of beer around 11pm. I stated that I would like a 22oz bottle, the cashier stated that the 22oz bottles were out, I said ok I'll take a 24oz can. Standing behind me was a relative of the cashier and she told me to leave, and for her relative (cashier) to call the police. I asked the cashier what would be the cause for the police to come. She could not give me an answer and told me to leave. I paid for the 1 beer and left. Around 12:40am I went back very calmly and the cashier was talking on her cell phone with her relative when she came to the window and said that I could not purchase any, before I even stated what I wanted. I asked if I could get 1 can of beer and she said no. I said to her " is it because of the time" and she said "no i'm selling beer just not to you!" I've never been a rude person and I do not appreciate the attitude of this cashier. Please have a conversation with your cashiers.

Circle K unauthorized gift card charges from gift card

On 06/12/16, 9:45 am, purchased gas from station using a Shell Gift Card purchased at the Harris Teeter across the street ($40 for a $50 card) and it worked fine, $8.01, Invoice # 857268. Week later I tried to finish using the same card, there was no balance on the card to use! Zero! That was $41.99 that vanished from my card. Same thing happened to my wife 2 months ago, Matthews NC.

That is the second time it has happened. I always check to make sure there is no 'scanner' at the pump so this does not happen.

What is going on?

Circle K employee

Recently I had a bad experience at Circle K on Maryland/Charleston with an employee named Tanishia. She was clearly training an employee when I approached the register and I was told "I'll be right with you ma'am." Another gentleman approached and waited behind me in line, impatiently huffing and puffing. We both waited for over 5 minutes, then she called the gentleman forward. As he came forward I stated, "Wait, I was waiting too." She made eye contact with me, ignored me, then continued to serve the gentleman. I came back later to get her name so I could point out how rudely I was treated. I frequent this location and she is always in a foul mood, never smiles or greets anyone. As I left another woman standing in the parking lot commented how she is the worst employee there as well!

Circle K employee abuse

A friend of mine works at a Circle K. She frequently is the only one working there for an 8-hour shift. She gets no breaks at all. No time for a meal. She pops a few nuts in her mouth between customers when she can. She can't even go to the bathroom! She has to hold it for the entire shift and therefore, drinks very little liquids. She also has to lift 50-pound containers to refill the drink machine.

Even though her health has suffered since she started there, she has a positive and friendly attitude with customers. They always give her excellent reviews.

How can a company get away with such labor practices?

i work for circle k also. and youre told when you start the job, you will be working shifts alone. and can take breaks when you can, but there are no scheduled or mandatory breaks at all. ive ran a 16 hour shift bymyslef, with no breaks or overtime.

I work at a Circle K, overnight, 8 hours, on my own. We're instructed to lock the doors when we use the restroom. They can't tell you that you can't use the bathroom.

Suck it up buttercup. If you gotta pee, go pee. Otherwise, how old is your friend that one, they can not do their own complaining, and two, that they can not do their own research into the labor laws of their state?

Circle K 100 oz. cups

Several months ago I made the mistake of purchasing a 100 oz.cup at a Circle K in Yuma, Az. I drive a taxi cab and it seemed at the time to be an excellent way to keep me hydrated throughout the day without stopping over and over again for refills. Everything worked fine until two weeks ago when Circle K commenced charging DOUBLE the price for refills! Now, here's the thing. Frankly I can see why the price should be higher but that wasn't the case at the time of purchase nor for quite a while afterwards. It seems to me that if the cups were sold initially and refilled at a certain price that it is tantamount to fraud to arbitrarily raise the price to DOUBLE the price. I was sold the cup under the impression that I would be getting a deal on the refill, got accustomed to paying said price and then am suddenly dealing with an unannounced price increase! The cup is large and unwieldly and frankly the only reason I bought it was for the agreed price of refills. Now it is cheaper to buy bottles of soda and pour it into the cup and that is not in line with the initial purchase. I am considering locating other customers with this complaint and filing a class action suit as well as contacting the BBB as well as any other consumer groups including our local news stations. Circle K poor employee treatment

From the start I was bein treated like ### tbh... I was there doin their dirty work and thats it... Lol and im only laughin becuz I think back to wat my aunt would always say they are treatin u like ### well she was right. They managers and the company dont give a ### bout their employees and all they care about is theirselves and the customers. Which when its comes to the customers I understand but when it comes to the employees its not right at all and doesnt make it a very good environment to work tbh. This needs to be fixed or yall are gonna eventually get a big time law suit for it js. I was lied to bout gettin full time and was hired part time when at my second interview my district manager eva thrasher said she would hire me full time but never ever put it on paper. So thinkin I had I full time job I quit my cleaning job which was for sure full time to go to circle k. They never gave me my 90 day raise :/.

Circle K management

Hello I would like some advice on dealing with my boss. I've been with ck a long time and try to do my best. Yet it seems like sometimes what I do do isn't good enough. Today I come in to work after being off a couple days and get chewed out because an area of our store was in a mess. Instead of listening to my explanation why I've not worked on it she chews me out and threatens to start cutting hours if stuff don't get done. If she would have took a minute to listen to me she would understand why I've not worked it.  She had other people working it while I was working, and then on Fri 3rd of the month I was training people, then I worked sat over nite  couldn't do it then, then I was off for 2 days.  This isn't the first time she's chewed me out and cut me short instead of listening. And it really hurts my feelings. Enough to where I'm ready to throw away 10yrs of my life. Can I get some advice please. I'm sending this anonymous cause I have to work with her . Just sign me frustrated in the midwest

My name is david rabon. I'm 45 and have lived in the charleston, sc area my entire life. One morning, about 2 months ago, i walked to the nearest gas station, the kangaroo/circle k. I have been a loyal customer of this station (and others like it) for over 6years. I really enjoy the roo cup. This particular morning i had to round up loose change to purchase a 25 cent refill. 10 pennies, which where on the floor board of my wifes car, were covered with something sticky, so i rinsed them off with the outside spigot. Being in a rush and being outside, i didn't think to dry them. When i handed the change to the clerk, who is also the manager (Cindy), things got ugly. She belittled me in front of the whole store. She stared at me saying don't ever do this again. I was so embarassed. I explained to her that it was only water and i would do my best to not let it happen again. To which she replied that it better not. At this point of embarassment, I made a fatal mistake. I said that she didn't have to be a B about it. She then started screaming and raising her hands around as she walked towards me. I became a little concerned for both of our safety so i left. Problem now is she won't allow me back in the store and its to far to walk to the next store. I've been going to her store when she is not working. Several times she comes from out back and yells and screams for me to leave and never come back. Each time i apologized and asked her to reconsider my lifelong banishment. She continues to scream and flail her hands as if to strike me. Today was the third time. I only wanted juice for my wife and unborn child. I don't want Cindy to be fired, I just want to be able to visit the store since i live directly behind it. This store is located on the corner of trolley road and miles jamison road, summerville, sc. Can you assist me in resolving this matter? Thank you for your trouble. She has went so far as to banish others for no apparent reason other than they try to refill my roo cup.

Circle K gas station

I was at the Valero at 1 N federal highway in pompano florida 33060 on may 25th at approximately 8:30 am and I had an awful experience . I don't normally make a complaint against a worker but this can't go unreported as I had my daughter with me . first off the employee was rude and seemed to not care about his job performance at all. He smelled like cigarettes which I believe he had just came in from smoking since there was a line and this employee just continued to ignore the business, did I mention my daughter is severely allergic to smoke and no need to smell it at a place of business in the morning time . I have been coming to this valero for years and never had a problem before but in the last month or so my days haven't been so good here. first off this employee seems to not understand english or comprehend as I had to say to him 5 times what pump I was getting gas at and there was no politeness just rude nods from his head ...which to me showed lack of communication, there are many other gas stations I can go to so this attitude is simply not good as I am the customer and also in customer service if i talked to a customer or just nodded I would be fired no questions asked...I understand this man is a foreigner and not from this country, but you're in america now so please teach him proper etiquette. This man touched my hand and made me feel creeped out, also as I gave him my money for my gas which is harassment as I did not warrant this behavior . ok enough rant for now but I hope this doesn't go unnoticed and just get lost in the emails and go up in outer space or next letter I can assure you will be to the Better Buisness Bureau.

Circle K retaliation

Ever science I filled a complaint about harassment against a fellow employee
I have been retaliated against by store manager and area market manager.

I have had to work several days by my self because the area market manager would send our manager to other stores to help out. We are given no lunch breaks have to stand on flat hard rubber mats all shift cant go to bath room I litter had crapped in my pants one day because were so busy I couldn't tell customers to go out side so I could lock the door and use the restroom.
I repeatedly complained about being left alone.
Many morning I had to do EOD.. Have to check truck in and wait on customers at sometime. I was put on administrative leave because a raised my voice to the market manager

I have not heard anything back from them weather I was terminated or what.
I am thinking about contacting an attorney and seeing about my rights

Circle K manager pam at circle k store # 1633 south broadway

I walked into the store at Circle K on South Broadway and to get a soda it slipped out of my hand by mistake and fell on the floor a lady came up to me who was a manager named Pam yelled at me and screamed at me and told me to get out of her store because I dropped the soda and made a mess it was an accident it slipped out of my hand other customers was in there also this happened on May 23rd 2016 approximate noontime I would never go back to that store again she made me cry she made me so upset that I did not know what to do I was also embarrassed she made me feel low she made me feel down I would never go back again Circle K will never be in my store I will go somewhere else from now on like QuikTrip or any other places but never Circle K you lost this customer forever

Circle K credit card transaction cashier and untruthful $4.99 deducted from credit card without permission

I was trying to make a purchase for $7.91 and credit card machine went through and said approved the lady at the counter told me that it did not go through credit card statement shows the transaction went through for $4.99 customer behind me in line paid cash for my products or items to deliver to be purchased I was told my transaction did not go through by the teller but credit card transaction on credit card statement shows transaction went through for $4.99 customer behind me paid for my items with cash but I was still charged for $4.99 I would like a refund please
