I worked @ circle k for 3 mos. From the very beginning, i'd had problems accessing my money on a pay card issued instead of direct deposit or a regular all american check. Asked manager to look into it. Her comment, "there's the number you need to call" as she pointed to a bulletin board that was chalk full of stuff dated from the 80's on up! As a new employee, I had no clue what to look for. I finally got hold of the card company and they continually emailed me codes in order to access my money. The card co. Issued verification to reimburse my decline fees, etc. Great! I thought. Nothing doing. I gave he email to the mgr. With directions from card co. To circle k h / r dept. I waited, waited, and waited. Nothing! I called mgr. Of store she wouldn't answer the phone and avoided me. I called circle k in az. "we do not do this sort of transaction."

This is bull! All the card co. Wanted was permission to access my account to reimburse me. Circle k refused.

Companies like circle k don't deserve to be in business... Don"t patron these rip off covienince stores and always check your exp. Dates!

Also, my mother is in very bad health. I didn't have anyone to stay with her and let them know at least 12 hrs. Prior to my next shift. I was told," sounds like a personal problem. "they knew i'd almost lost her prior to christmas. I liked to have...! It's not like the girl who's"daddy baby got thrown in jail" excuse. I wound up covering half her shift on top of mine! And was expected to work again that night! She didn't want to wake her mother to keep the kid. I literally had to quit a job that kept me sick with upper respiratory infection the whole time I worked there. And on top of that... To keep from paying me the over - time i'm supposed to be paid by law, the mgr. Went in, clocked me out, and then clocked me right back in! Labor law broken right there!

Hey circle k>

Sure you're not owned by a politian? Or maybe a c.E. O.?

I live and go to our local CIRCLE K / 76 GAS STATION AT 3002 NE SUNSET BLVD, RENTON, WA 98056 (STORE / DEALER NO, [protected]) quite often. On January 27, 2014 I went in the afternoon for one item and was told it would be about 10 minutes to ring me up because he was on phone. I have been inconvenienced by this before and I, and many others were not happy. you’d think a large corporation like Circle K / 76 Gas Station would have a system in place that would not affect their customers! Then, I was walking in Circle K / 76 Gas Station and trying to buy a pack of cigarettes and handed him an I’d card and he said he ( BILL – MANAGER) couldn’t sell me my cigarettes cause it had no expiration date and state ID’s don’t have expiration dates.
I told him he was being rude and he threw my money at me and told me to get the f*** out of his store nor wouldn’t sell me gas before walking out, what he had gave me by speaking on the phone after getting corporate number extremely rude and was unkind to his customer’s, and was giving me wrong numbers when calling trying to get Circle K / 76 Gas Station corporate number by giving me a run around numbers.
You are also requested to please give me updates for my complaint by e-mail.

When I started working at my old job we were owned by an awesome company. . Then our owner died and the company got sold to circle k. . It has since went to ###. . I left after 6 months. . I couldn't handle them constantly changing the schedule last minute and never having enough people working. Then getting in trouble for stuff not being done. . . I will never work for that company again. They are shadey and the higher ups don't really care about their employees. . They fire you and make up reasons just because they don't like you or you actually try to do your job the right way. . So many of my old regular customers tell me they do not go there any more. . Bad company bad customer service and bad employee treatment. .

ps i owned a corporation myself sold out to a partner and moved to florida! i would never treat my employees as i hear and have experienced the way this corporation does. mind you i had a small corp with only 20 employees but still they were people working for me. they were honest and hard working in my image. i worked with them not against them. very sad how our government would allow these corporations to come from other countries and disrespect our codes of ethics pertaining to employees. if you respect your employees they will respect you and work harder and more honestly for they would not want to disappoint their bosses. cumberland farms was pulling this ### on their employees and were brought to federal court for accusing their employees of stealing to the point they were locking them in closets until they admitted it! stand strong and together and file your complaints in federal court. lawyers love it corporations dont. they will research every complaint. i hope you win! go get them!

i was hired at a store around kissimmee. i was so happy i finally got a job period! the managers were nice at the time. they made me go to longwood fl for training 50 miles away from my home. no problem. I raced there for they say youre late youre fired. walked in the door with relief i was on time. i raced with my gps on chinese language but had no time to change and still made it there on time. i walked into the training room ask if this was the place and the wench at the desk was cocky and says well it depends what you are looking for. i said training. she rolled her eyes and told me you have to work with customers you know. i looked and she asked me what my problem was i told her im just here to learn and assured her i capable of working with customers. i owned my own limo sercvice and knew dam well i was good at customer relations. my previous customers loved me. and when i say customers im talking from ceos from aig to little old ladies. well she demanded id and i gave her my ss card and license . she gave me the look of death. these are not acceptable do you have your birth certificate? of course not im 55 not a child needing to cart around my birth certificate. she was such a dictator. she had control over my life and she was happy to conduct her sins on me! i called my supposed manager susan and she called her manager john she even said strange. well i had to call them back and the response was john said you dont have the job. the end. social security printed out anne m ### and my name on my license was annemarie. that was it. on id that has given me clearance in airports federal check to let me pick up in ny mass and nh! but for a lousy 7.50 an hour it wasnt good enough! they have killed me i needed that stupid job. but now i read these comments and believe there really is a god!

I had work for circle K for about two years putting up with verbal abuse harassment, touchy feely manager..just prayed and went on. i loved my job and my customers, i should have reported it but i thought it would pass..i was wrong..my mother became very very ill she was dying. i was taking care of her she needed me most.but of course my circle k manager had to come by my house to see if i was lying...hmph...wow right...i worked all three shifts one day just so i could be off with my mother the next day. i was very tired. i did not get to spend as much time as i should have with my mother because my circle k manager needed me more is what the manager said i was the strong one so they told me. i bent over backwards for my job..no appreciation. My manager was rude. always picked with me. asking inappropriate questions.it just goes on and on. but i stayed. i stayed. i do not have many regrets in my life.. i do not regret working for circle k. they should treat there employees better. stop abusing the good ones.any-hew. i do regret applying for employment at that store. My manager had the worst people skills ever. i had to deal with customers who were having an issue. i had to check in all vendors if i was not busy handling customers. i just do not understand why would Circle K. Have such unprofessional people handling there business?I really hope someone from corporate reads this. just send your DMs out see who are really interacting with the people. Which managers have good feed back from the customers. I am not bashing..i mentioned no state and no specific store or manager..Can we just treat people better..I Am A hard worker.(Hard Worker)I Deserve..

Husbands company was bought out just over a yr ago. He's leaving and taking a large pay cut because this company has no concern for their managers or employees. He's had 1 day off in almost 9 months. Working long hours and even going in sick. Market Manager keeps saying their working on getting him an assistant but hasn't even stepped in himself to give him a day off or pull someone from another store so that tells you he doesn't care. My husband got to keep his month paid vacation but obviously hasn't been able to use any of it. Of course he was never given a handbook so we don't know if he'll lose it or get paid it when he leaves. They have a manager training program that stated in the book itself that it was 6 wks but when Circle K took them over they gave them a crash course in about 10 days. MM constantly texts orders at all hrs with no regards of the managers having to work all kinds of hrs so even if he can get out at a decent hr to get sleep to work another shift he gets woke up. MM sends texts needing coverage at other stores & says if no one steps forward he'll pick someone. Constantly ends texts with do this or you'll be written up. If you're considering working for this company as a manager I would seriously reconsider unless you like to be overworked and don't want any kind of life outside of the store. The managers are considered exempt salaried employees so you'll work your butt off and you have no legal recourse, we've checked.

I worked for Circle K for nearly a year and I was recently fired for "confronting a thief" even though I said nothing to him. I recently found out I was pregnant and week later, after advising them of my medical status, I was fired. I was never late for a shift and I performed all my duties. I worked the 10 p to 6 a shift alone and never had any support. My manager was near tears when I was terminated. They recieved a call from Gavin Zindel the regional Manager in Tucson AZ demanding my termination. On a side note I was robbed at gun point back in November and the Market manager, Becky Glenn, never told me I could go home due to my distressed state. She said I had to tough it out. Rough crowd huh?

Circle k is not owned by a manufacturer of products. They are a retailer of products. They can charge whatever they want to for a manufactured product unless they have a contract with a manufacturer that states otherwise. However in my experience circle k has the same or a cheaper price than most other convenience stores.

I worked for Circle K for almost 4years, and recently was terminated. Id just came back from using my paid vacation to have time off to deal with my mothers death and finding out i wad pregnant when they terminated me. I gave them documentation about my pregnancy and mothers death i work 1 day and they completely took me of the labor schedule without notice or anything. I am pregnant, single mother and a loyal employee for almost 4 years for them to refuse to pay unemployment! I did everything for this company right or wrong, worked when ever needed if and 24/7 so i suggest that anyone who works there get out while you can they don't give a crap about anyone who works for them and the pay sucks for what your expected to deal with.

My daughter worked there for five years. They never cared about her well being and treated her like she was of no importance. She busted her butt there and all they did was pull out the whip and gave her orders. I will not buy no gas there and either will my family. We will keep spreading the word about the mistreatment of this company to their employees. They are treating them like servants and have not empathy for the employees! As far I am concerned a mob should be pickiting the stores about unfair wages and treatment.

I am the same guy who worked at Circle K in Ohio for 4 months and got fired. My store got robbed while I was working 11 pm to 7 am 5 1/2 months ago. They had a girl who was pregnant with her second child at 18 working my nights off when I started . After the store got robbed, the girl quit and they hired a girl to replace her. That girl wound up going to noon-6 pm and 5 pm -11 pm and a guy who worked 5 pm to 11 pm took her place on 3rd shift. I guess since I got fired, the fat girl was put back on 3rds. I just read in the paper where she'd been working at the other Circle K here on 3rds and she got robbed for $60. I'm of the opinion that Circle K was never worth working for on third shift...no differential pay and no raises when you bust your ### to get work done before the coffee rush so you can ring up customers and make the coffee!

I started working at a Circle K in Ohio in August 2012. I was a part-time 3rd shift cashier, working 11 pm to 7 am. I was supposed to have been trained by the girl who worked my days off. A month after I started there, I was robbed at gunpoint. I had to call another employee back in who had been working with me and was supposed to show me how to fill the creamer dispenser and the chili and cheese dispenser, which I never did by myself due to incompetent ###s supposed to be training me. I was also supposedly slow at making coffee. My manager was drunk when she finally arrived at the store and she provided little help or comfort for me the night I was robbed. I stayed there three more months until I was fired 12 days ago, supposedly for customer complaints and cursing out a customer who was being an ###, because like a previous person said, CSR's are cashiers, stock people, cooks and janitors at the same time. The ### I worked for would not give me a raise and told the assistant manager not to because she wanted her to put me on probation after 90 days (which was not done). When I called off on a Sunday night I was fired the next morning. The manager called me and did it over the phone. So I told her, "f*** you and go to hell, you stupid ###!" and hung up on her. I am 2 years older than she is and I am 45. With a college degree unlike her because she dropped out of college. I took my uniform shirts and name badge to the store and threw them over the counter along with my name badge, and a male employee who is not a manager followed me out and was threatening me. So I said "f*** you" and kept walking. I worked with ###s there. So there has to be a better job somewhere.

Well at the cicle k at cedar creek tx on highway 71 right across the mcdonalds at chevron, there is 2 hispanic looking cashiers that like to flirt with my baby's dad in front of me and in front of my child and in the mornings when he gets gas and coffee refills, that is disrespectful to us as a family, especially when we are expecting another child, i have asked for the flirting to stop but it hasnt, thats why im here now, it is very rude and disrespectful and unprofessional, i would really appreciate it if this mess stops, and one of the cashiers likes to talk on the phone while at the register attending customers
Thank You

My roomate worked for circle K for 6 years and has gone through hell and back. Recently she got fired by some new DM ### who didn't need the trouble or reviewing her case because she wanted to sit on her ### and let a good employee be fired. If this is what this company stands for than they need to clean house starting with all the DM's. We are going into the holidays and you are going to can someone what kind of un-american freak does that..! Circle K what else do you need how about keepingyour good employee's and better policies to truly keep people safe. Hopefully things will change in that company and it will bring couche tard to bankrupcy but untill then leave the good employees alone they work hard and bust their backs to make sure DM's and managers alike get paid so give them a break and give my roomate her job back.

I got fired from Circle K store #9802, the biggest in the district for refusing to work overnight by myself with the store open. I did work over night by myself for 2 nights, and in those 2 nights there was a robbery across the street and countless other crazy things. I informed my store manager MATT LEONARD after the first time I had to work alone, that there was a robbery and I didn't feel safe, he told me someone would be there Friday night. There was no one there, so the 2nd shift girl stayed until midnight and found a solution so I didn't have to work alone on Saturday night. Matt had 3 people scheduled on first shift, and when we called him to suggest one of them move to 2nd shift for the day, and the 2nd shift girl will work 3rd. He said HE HAD TO HAVE 3 PEOPLE ON FIRST SHIFT. This is horse crap to me. 9802 is located in area that there are no other gas stations opened past 11pm, but several bars and gambling rooms open until 3 and 4 am. Not really a store where you have a 5 foot girl working alone by herself. PLUS when I was hired I was told because of the tier of the store, I would NEVER be alone. CIrcle K does not have any concern for their employees, and I don't know about all store managers, but this store manager had no clue how to properly manage a store.

Hello my name is Jennifer I used to work for Circle k and they decided to fire me unfairly they did not suspended me like they should have for my first offense instead they gave me the boot then on top of that they did not train me right at all they where rude about answering my questions and concerns about why i was fired so my husband looked on the internet for there rules about fireing people and they did me the wrong way so now i am planning on suing the company for wrongful termination and before they fired me they had me wait for a month with out working to fire me so they are in big trouble...

In my opinion when you work for circle k your safety is not important and you must be willing to die for your company. I can tell anyone who asks why this is my opinion but suffice it to say I have worked the night shift for two and one half years and know what I am talking about and can back up these opinions with countless emails to district managers, division managers and finally to two different HR managers. I am seriously considering going to the press after I get an attorney.

I love reading about Cicle K because they seriously think they do no wrong at all. Managers are treated like dirt and are nothing but over glorified book keepers who shuffle papers mostly all day. YOu have managers who have no people skills and treat people like crap whether employees or customers just because they are kissing some corporate Ck's B**T. Cicle K will never disappear because we have customers that dont know any better...Cicle K will soon be knocked off by QT anyway. Dirty store...dirty people...unsafe stores.

How funny (not); you just described what happened to me, exactly. I caught my new manager thieving on camera. Looking out for the company's best interest, I called my MM and reported her. After the "investigation", I ended up being suspended for 7 days for insubordination, transferred to a different store, and then demoted upon the first mistake I made. My advice to the CSRs: if you get accused of stealing, not carding for a sale, etc - make them show you their "evidence" And, no, I myself quit after my demotion. And. yes, this is what they were aiming for. They hate paying unemployment.
Cover your own ###...I DO still have a copy of the video of my manager stealing.

I had been with circle K for over 4 years. I started as a regular cashier, bumped to an assistant, and then got a manager job. I was thrown into management when my manager at the time was fired for stealing 900.00 worth of cigarettes and then tried to pay for them ( idiot ) anyways. I never had any type of manager training, no training on policy or procedure, no nothing.. thrown into and figure the ### out. So recently a former employee of mine decided she was going to rob me... Now, this was a Monday.. I had 2 deposites BECAUSE i did not have a lock depsite key for the bank... AFTER telling my market manager on MANY occasions i did not have one. So because he did not get me a key, and i got robbed.. i got fired.. Pure ### that was not my fault.. I could not control either situation. When i was a cashier and assistant i got a total of 2 raises in 3 years... I never got any raise after becoming a manager... This company is pure ###, liars, theives, unfair, uncontrolled, self worrying place. They dont worry about any of their employees unless ur high in management then they may give a damn. HATE THIS PLACE AND ADVISE NOT A SINGLE PERSON TO EVEN THINK ABOUT WORKING THERE UNLESS YOU ENJOY BEING A SLAVE AND BEING TREATED UNFAIRLY. AMANDA FROM ILLINOIS

I have to say you've probably suffered this terrible treatment during your employment as a result of what we in the "Corrupt Korps" (notice the hidden C K? I'm so clever, not!) call "he/she knows too much, we need to be rid of them fast!". Yeah I should know, I'm one of their top henchmen. Heck I may have even been responsible for firing or transferring you because that's what I get paid to do! A word to the wise CSR or Assistant Manager, don't ever, ever act as if you have a clue as to whats really going on at your store. Remain in a slightly catatonic state and just do what you're told. Make a move on us and we'll stomp your guts right out, no lies. We will go to any extreme to make your life miserable, even after we fire you. Why, hey isn't that you on the camera there? you know the one, its just like all the others in the store, pointed right at you. Sure its all fuzzy and there's absolutely no audio, but yeah its you and I think you look like you stole something. Guess I'll have to falsely accuse you of theft, fire you at the end of your shift, and have you arrested and paraded through the store on your way to jail. Such a shame, if only you hadn't been so darn smart. Yeah we are terrible aren't we? But hey when you're this good at a "sport", (screwing with your head, firing you, transferring you, humiliating you, duh!) why stop? Smoke and mirrors baby! Smoke and mirrors!

I have been working now as a floater for 3 months. That means I work at stores all around the valley(phoenix mesa area). Never had an issue at all until I was given a permanent store last week. First thing the manager did was write me up for not taking out the trash my first day. So I have been in ten or so different stores with no complaints at all. Managers have asked tio have me at their stores and were told no. "We don't want to let go of one of our floaters." Ok. ( or ten different managers love me because I work hard and don't just stand behind the counter like most Customer service reps.On the day I first worked at what is now my permanent store, I didn't feel well at all due to terrible allergies. And I told that to the store manager. So the next day when I came to work, she left me a letter stating she had written me up for not taking out the trash and such. I was not the only person there. And did the other employee get a write up? Hell no! So then a few days later, I get to work and immediately begin taking out the trash and making fresh coffee while greeting every customer that came in. The manager calls me over to where she is talking and laughing with one of the employees who has been there for some time now. She asks me why am I not greeting customers as per our corporate policy? I didn't know what to say really so I asked "Are you joking right now? Because I have greeted every customer." She states she is not joking and did not hear me greet one single customer. I'm like ok then. So I called our market manager who is her boss and stated I have an issue with working at her store. He explained he was in a meeting and would call me back. He shows up about an hour later at the store. I explained to him that I did not feel this store was going to work out for me due to the manager of this store and her discrimination of me. I also pointed out to him that I have been a floater for a while and that all of the other managers love me. And for this one to have an issue should say a little about her. He said he would speak with her. When he and her were ready they called me back and he completely took her side and chastised me for the littlest things including joking with customers which was never an issue before, I feel this company gives too much power to it's so called managers to be able to have this kind of sway over the lives of good employees.

I worked for Circle k for seven years and got fired for a 75 cent shortage? worked up to 16 hr shifts with no brakes is this leagal in Arizona? Absolutely no lunch or any other type of brake...not only were the customers abusive but the Management was too...they actually go to classes provided by the company on how to say no and be extra rude to their employees...it was like working in a sweat shop...pay benifits and everything else sucked! I'm so glad I got fired...I'm now an office manager and I love my job. My advice to any one working there leave...quit...get out! It is so not worth it. I had one manager actually come kock at my door when I called in with a stomache flu, he wanted to make sure I was as sick as I had said I was? legal?

Mad
My husband has been working there for three years (Phoenix), he was given assistant manager two months in. Ever since he has been asking to be given management, given that we have two kids! They do nothing but preach and preach in training about how if you are a good employee and work hard and want to advance in the company you can. Bull! He has bent over backwards, worked that store up from nothing! Picks up slack for three managers! (thats how many the store has had since he got there!) and all the employees! Who do no cleaning or stocking! He does it all! the books, the cleaning, stocking, moping, sweeping, audits! You name it! He even ran the store four days a week when his old manager had two stores! Two store managers got awards and raises because of the cleaning and organizing MY HUSBAND did! because in the time my husband was there the store got that much better, THEY got bonuses! THEY got awards! The first time he asked to be in management his market manager (who promotes you) said he didnt have enough time with the company, so what did she do? Who did she hire? A flippin cook! No experience or time as a CSR! n outsider to the company! my husband had to help teach him how to run the damn store! So my husband thinks if he waits patiently he will get his managment position, so in seven months he asks again (while running the store EVERY WEEKEND! And doing all duties of every shift! And five out of six weekly audits!) she says he has to wait a few months, so he waits, but she gets demoted! So now they bring in a temp market manager, its been a year and half now now...my husband asks him to have a sit down talk about how the store is mis run, he is mistreated and wants his promotion. The temp market manager says he will talk to him in two weeks, my husband waits. A new perminant market manager is brought in, ok, my husband goes to him, asks again politley, patiently for a sit down. Well yesterday was the day and guess what? He told him he will get back to him with a time...wow! get back to him with a time? He has been waiting, taking care of and boosting that damn store for ### pay and ### credit! Everytime my husband takes care of that store and his manager gets credit its a slap in the face! All they do is abuse him! he is the best damn employee they have at that store I cant stress enough he literaly does EVERYTHING! He deserves his own store, better pay for the work he does! they treat their employees like ###! Ask anyone who has been there for a while they will tell you they lose tons of good employees because they dont listen to them or give two ###! I hate them, I truely do, they treat my husband like crap and all he is is a great employee. he is promised things then pushed around and brushed to the side. Upper management plays favorites and only care about themselves! look at the UCP donations! my husband, at his store was the only one asking he raised thirty bucks a day! Guess what? At the end of the UCP donation cycle they give THE MARKET MANAGERS a free all exspense paid trip to cabo...or some place like that...for what you ask? The stores in their district IE: the CSR's in their district who collected the most donations! HA! thats fair! the CSR's get nothing and the people who literaly didnt collect a cent get an all exspense paid trip! They need to ask their regulars who really runs the store! Who really takes care of them! When the employees at my husbands store or the customers (regulars) have a problem guess who they call? Its not their manager! Its my husband, the assistant, even though they arent supposed to call him in an emergancy they do. What does that say? that whole company is messed up. And just to prove upper management does not care. A few months ago my husband wrote to his district manager the one in charge of the market managers, he wrote a lengthy e mail explaining again in the most polite proper way possible, his desire to move up and how he has been overlooked, and the state the store is in due to his new manager, she shared the e mail with his market manager (which she is NOT supposed to do, given that he was raising a complaint about her) and proceeded to write only a one line note that said: I hire the market managers, so I trust their judgement. WOW! they dont know how lucky they are to have a hard worker like my husband, the slackers and a holes that work there get whatever time off and shedule they ask for, their job gets done by my husband and no one gives a damn about him. I hope they are bought out and taken over by a comapnay that actually cares about their employees!

Been working at my circle k for about 6 months now, still yet to receive my 90 days pay increase or even my evaluation for that matter. I work 3rd shift by myself with the door open in the middle of a bad neighborhood. And my manager asks me why I cant get everything done at night when I have 200-250 customers all night... Hmm... I think im busy all night.
