How responsive is Circle K's customer service?

Very poor 🤒
We don't know much about how Circle K handles customer complaints outside ComplaintsBoard, but what we see here, on our website, is quite disappointing. We think there might be reasons for the company's actions (like not knowing about the complaints), and we would be happy to see them among customer-focused businesses that easily solve customer problems. But until that happens, we ask reviewers to be cautious when dealing with Circle K and using their services, and to carefully read the experiences of other customers on ComplaintsBoard, because who is warned is armed, you know! 💪

Circle K Market manager negligence.

Isolated Employee's without proper Safety Awareness Enforcement, while working alone over night. The Manager Cassee who was brought into action March 2015 at store#7509, had been bringing in loyal extra business from her old career location a block away at 7-11. There are Numerous return customers that followed Cassee and became Circle K Customers naturally boosting sales and even becoming the #1store in Red Cross Donations. Cassee created a high demand for work hours and employees to handle the growing customer fan base. Extra Customer Service was needed more than ever to accommodate a prospering location #7509. August 2015 Cassee then brought a Customer Service Expert and Store Caretaker Employee named Jacob Simon also from 7-11 to her new Circle K. Now Cassee was guaranteeing top notch customer service with a clean and organized store not just during the day, but round the clock by plugging in Jacob over nights. 2 weeks after Jacob's arrival September 2015, store#7509's Safety and Customer Attention was pushed aside by Nazeg King. What was once 2 employee's over night is now cut down to 1, in doing so, the well oiled Circle K Experience Cassee created for Customer's and her Employee's was forced to be compromised at Store #7509. Cassee the manager reluctantly typed a memo to her Employee's stating they were being force down to single coverage and we were going to now have to roll up our sleeves and attempt to stay on course. The emotional stress put on night shift to watch for theft, on edge while stocking front facing cleaning ect. The rattled nerves to meet Nazegg King's task expectations of 2 employee's, handle Core Mark deliveries 2 times a week, keep vendor's from waiting to be checked...all the while wanting to be 100 available to every costomer that rolls in the parking lot and doors. Consistently stopping in the middle of production and tasks every night and morning, to take a look around and out the dark tinted window for any potential danger or possible customer assistance. In turn this anxiety was felt and experienced by all Customer's when expectations coming to store#7509 were suddenly made to be unsure of a consistent pleasant and safe visit that brought them to retuen in the first place. Market Manager Nazeg King's Refusal to give a thriving upcoming store adequate amount of work force to keep positive growth while promoting and protecting Circle K's Employee safety. Taking in consideration that night shift is the backbone to ensure successful morning shift jumpstart into the day shift. Our safety is overshadowed with overwhelmeing stress we now get from unsatisfactory check lists Nazeg regularly started writing for us creating even more work occupying precious opportunity to roll up those sleeves and press forward. September 2015 one week following (what Jacob personally calls) the Safety and Store Growth Sabotage - cutting down to single night coverage. These lists Nazeg wrote more frequently focused on night shift duties only 2 workers could accomplish safely. For example, Cooler organization which is a time guzzler away from the sales floor and safety phone. Cleaning grass and dumpster area that has trash, Taking care of back stock room, pulling all beer cases forward ect. Mentioning all of the sudden, customer complainants from the already obvious long lines as a result of growing customer rates. Snail like Slow POS system during checkout that keeps customers as impatient as they were waiting in line. Night duties on her list that were unrealistically given an opportunity of natural time for a single body to mathematically and scientifically accomplish without an extra set of eyes and hands by the phone, register and cutomer veiw. Factoring in the new level of emotional stress and worry about safety and fear of unsatisfactory reports with punishment of a write up if not completed in time. Even with months of repetitive begging and asking to please protect our Employee's Safety and Asking for Store # 7509 to please go back to 2 workers over night? Vendors noticed a difference in productivity and organization when the store cut a valuable worker over night that serves so many mandatory and important roles for Safety. Majority of concerns are still coming from Local Law Enforcement (Polk County Sherriff) who know the potential dangers of the growing armed robberies happening to local Circle K stores in Lakeland Florida. Which these stores that were arm robbed are also under the supervision of Nazeg King and very close in location to #7509. September October and November of 2015, Jacob Simon expressed concern about this safety issue numerous times to Employee's, Manager's, Market Manager, Circle K Maintenance, Circle K Auditors and Help Desk, no support, concern or action was given. Mid November 2015, Out of pure desperation, Jacob Simon expressed this Safety Matter to Circle K's "Security Wave Check" via phone to an employee named June calling out of Indiana. Given the facts from constantly outraged local law enforcement about Safety Endangerment, Mr. Simon asked June if she would allow her daughter to work at store #7509 and her reply was No! Elaine a single mother working over night during Jacob Simon's 2 days off was getting most of the sympathy from local residents. Elaine is not only vulnerable to all the hardships, stress and dangers that Jacob faces, but her Safety is more so compromised by the added threat of a sexual attack. Thinking logically and responsibly Miss June typed an Email to Corporate about her and Jacob's conversation to ensure someone would listen to what residents have been trying to say. June informed Jacob of a phone call that store #7509 would be recieving. Unfortunately 3 days after that conversation between June and Jacob the only phone in the whole store comes up missing or lost... the Market Manager had managed 3 unexpected store visits and managed to create another unsatisfactory check list. Still on 3 days after June and Jacob's phone meeting, newly Welcomed and Prospering Manager Cassee, was given minutes notice by Nazeg King to pack up and get transferred to the Circle K up the street at the Walt Williams location just recently robbed last month. The Suspect who used an AK-47 is still at large and unidentified. All of that First Hand Awareness and Understanding to her Employee's Safety Cassee takes with her. The frustration, hard work and the stressful emotional rollercoaster Employee's at #7509 have been through is now transferred to another store. Twenty-five percent of American workers will be victims of a WorkPlaceViolence incident.. Each day, more than 5, 000 WPV incidents occur in the United States, with only one in five incidents being reported I Also in the United States, 20 workers are murdered each week. The average cost to an employer of a single episode of workplace violence can amount to $250, 000 in lost work time and legal expenses. If we have good employees, we want to keep them. We don't want them injured. We want to show them that we care about them, Safety to #7509 and all other similar Circle K stores who may relate need to honor AT LEAST 2 workers working together as a buddy system. We ALL wear the same logo on our uniform, lets start going to bat for our own and have each other's back. Our Employee's Safety is step one for adequate leadership and supervision requirements.

Circle K gas pump #7

Proceeded to pump gas and the station started hissing. There was gas coming from the line that is connected to the nozzle and gas coming from the bottom of the station all running down the slope and under the car next to me. I ran inside to get the attendant. The numbers were going really fast on the pump and the attendant pulled the nozzle out and it showed that in 30 seconds l received $18.00 worth of gas at 10.408 gallons. The attendant called mgr Anisur and he offered me a $1.00. While standing in line trying to get an answer another customer told me that pump #7 did the same thing to him. Two weeks ago! Mr. Anisur hung up on me after l said that a dollar was Bull crap.I know that cussing doesn't get you anywhere and l also felt that being a female didn't help. There's no way I pumped that much gas into my car. Majority of it was running down the cement.

Circle K manager called my work place cussing me out.

The manager at Circle K on the Outer Loop in Louisville, KY had a coworker come into Subway where I work, and order her a sub sandwich. Apparently, she wasn't clear on what she wanted on her sub, I made it according to her coworkers orders. When the coworker brought her sub to her, she saw that she didn't have the extra meat she wanted. She called my work place and cussed me out, she was very rude and verbally abusive to me, threatened to get me fired, threatened to call corporate, and made me cry. I'm only 16 years old, I'm New at my job, and I filled the order according to what I was told to put on the sub. There was no call for her to do that.

Circle K wages and disability benefits

I am on fmla and I had surgery on Oct 26th 2015. I have been there 14 months my year was on Sept 10th. My boss supposedly put my raise in. Well I didn't get my raise on my checks for 7weeks and I still haven't gotten it and I'm on medical leave. My last two checks before I left had 8.35 and that is not what I was told I would be getting I was told 8.50. They didn't fix it and I don't believe they will... And they want to tell me I'm not eligible for short term disability benefits I think something doesn't sound right but im going to get to the bottom of it. Any advice?

Circle K charged twice for same gas.

Concerning circle k#5126 shell 8700 rivers ave n charleston sc 29406 retailer id [protected] shift 2 cashier allison 5677 #861237. On 9/28/15 I received 5.221 gallons @ 1.919 and was charged both $10.02 @ 1.919 and $15.00 with my bilo $.58 discount as a prepay. (Invoice 861344 and 861252 @ 7:22 and 7:26 pm. So I paid $25.02 for 5.221 gallons. My car only holds 10 gallons. The cashier placed my discount on pump 1 while I was parked at pump 2. The manager, suzy said it was my fault that circle k took my money. The manager offered me a free car wash. There is raining and flooding in charleston sc. I do not need a car wash. I needed my money back or the gas. As an accounting technician I have to ask, how are they balancing their accounts? I will not return to any circle k and will tell all of my family and friends concerning this scam.

Circle K cashier

Good evening,
My name is Diego and I'm a loyal customer at circle k. Everything I ever want or need is there. Employees are always helpful and nice. But this evening I encountered a very rude employee of yours. I've never been treated so badly. She's was stern and completely out of line. When I went up to the cash register I asked to buy some lottery tickets, I pointed out which ones I wanted and even said names and she said had said okay. I then pointed at another one not knowing the name, and she rudely raised her tone of voice and said I need to name them if I want them. I told her she didn't have to be rude about it and then she replied with, "well you don't even need these." That upset me, so I told her I didn't want her service and I walked out of the store. My wife noticed that I was bothered by that, so she went back in and was able to see her name tag. It read Cindi and titled assistant. I don't know if she's always this rude, but I won't be returning to that location anymore.

Circle K horrible bosses and work ethics

Worked for this company in az. Yeah, no way would I want my worst enemy to apply for this lame company.
They only have the camaras to watch the employees not the thieves! !
They have too many chief's and not enough indians. You ask a "fellow" employee for assistance, this [censored] lady asks another lady in spanish, when they both know english, for assistance. ... Are you f***ing kidding me?!
Let's not forget the ghetto boss that walks around the store eating everything in sight...
Yeah, not a good company at all!

Circle K employee abuse

After quitting after a year...and reading every complaint about this company, i have to say from personal experience that all the complaints are accurate. The list...they don't care if you are dying or a loved one...you better not miss a day. their pay IS 47% below the national average for management. You work christmas and they say you didn't do enough. This company has cancer. more regulations than any government. But the main complaint by everyone is the managers have no skills. no people skills ...no manage ment skills. They have no real power (they can't hire or fire) they are just over glorified stockers and the lawsuits going on state this. I worked till they MADE me become assistant manager. i got a 38 cent raise. You are a hard worker and all you get is what you didn't do. DO NOT WORK FOR CIRCLE K. I worked at three different stores and they all have the same attitude. they are really out to work you like a slave. read all the complaints. they are not disgruntled ...the're Accurate. I worked in the florida keys (3 stores)

Circle K rip off

Consistently shorting the amount of syrup in the soda pop machine. Also, frequently out of the vanilla flavoring. I work long days in mammoth. I will give the place a couple of more chances after this complaint has had a little time to process. I will test the soda before filling my cup with ice. If the rip off doesn't stop, i will stop going to that store in the future. 9/2/15

1st. They don't control how much syrup comes out.
2nd. Did you ever think the vanilla flavoring is a popular choice and it's kind of hard to keep in Stock?

Just cause it's a corporate store, doesn't mean they can always pay to stock extra.

Circle K won't go there again

Open until 2am yet closed at 1:30! Guess cleaning floors are more important than customers putting money in their store? Real tight and close apt complex here and it is convenient to go there. This shi - grinds my ### as when you do floors, cleaning you do it after the store closes! But then again what do you expect when they have a bottle return machine that from the 80's! Yet they install lcd's asking you how was your experience (Lmfao) another shi - hole corporation walking over a $100.00 bill to save $1.00 it speaks for its self and wont go there again.

Circle K terrible work experience

First of all the training was nothing like it was in the actual store. They did not train you on a safe. They do not properly stimulate the job on a regular basis in training. And when your training in store they'd much rather be little you on what you did wrong expecting that to help you.

The store I worked at did not have the paperwork they said you had to file on a daily basis for what you're suppose to do. ( How are the new employees suppose to know what they have to do and make sure they do it if they're told they will be provided a list and aren't even when asked to be given one?)
If you have 8 people playing store in training, at least have the person training them check them thoroughly, and if your not going to give them a safe in training at least give them a decent fake one that they can 'pretend'. The training equipment wasn't up to date in prices or anything of the sort so it wasn't realistic along with the lotto sales and wins.

Also managers have unprofessional habits, such as showing up at an employees house to berate them. ( if they show up again, cops will be called)

They said when I started they couldn't keep people I can see why. One employee had some sort of knife on him at all times, ( which isn't allowed). He also rung himself up for free drinks. (stealing).

My time there was short but I definitely do not recommend working there. The job is demanding, enough but when you aren't given the proper tools or training and answers, the job is nearly impossible. Everyone at the store I was at kind of did their own thing. When asked they'd go ' we're suppose to... but we don't.'

The safe drops we're unrealistic, they're so paranoid about being robbed they don't think about the individuals that want you to break 100's. They are paranoid about robberies but do not have a silent alarm? what.

Circle K discrimination

I come inside this store twice a day its a lady named fran who is always disrespectful rude and I have complained on her to corporate office as well as other customers when you call they already know who you are talking about. And nothing is being done because she's still there with a horrible atittude. Her sister is also there with her working with her I come there and see both of them working there and how I know she's there is because I know her car I've been coming there for a very long time and I have had an altercation with her sister eva even though she is a manager at her on store they are both very racist and I have other people who can vouch for this. And also family should not be working together why is it OK for them to work together WILL ANYTHING BE DONE ABOUT THIS.

Circle K bad company to work for

When Circle K bought out all the Super Pantry locations in Illinois, they promised that everything would remain the same. Yeah right. First they took away our free sodas and coffees while on duty, they took away the extra wages when working overnights, they took away the bullet proof glass, and took away the cash back feature. They also treat their employees like crap. Heaven forbid you try to make a customer happy by giving them a free cup of coffee or soda, they fire you on the spot. When you treat employees badly, it affects how they treat their customers. I will no longer spend a dime in there now that I'm no longer working there, I will spend my money elsewhere. There are plenty other gas stations that treat people better.

Circle K rude threats intimidation

I was threatened and intimidated by an employee named Diane at the circle k on first and ft.Lowell. she then began to yell scream and curse at me in front of others customers including children. I only asked to buy a soda to break a $100 and she refused me service and began yelling and screaming in my face. She refused to give me her name so I could file a complaint and covered her name tag and began to try to intimidate me by her threats. I left the store so the situation wouldn't escalate.

Circle K bad employee

I was taking care of a close friend who was on medications. Because she was acting strange I decided to go with her to the store. Once inside she walked over to the soda fountain and filled a cup. While doing this she said it looked strange. She then drank some and said it also tasted different than usual. I figured it must be the medication she was on. At the counter she decided to ask for cigs. I told her she had a carton of cigs back at her house. Plus i told her that she left her wallet and ID back home as well. I then told the attendant "Christian" that my friend was on some medication and did not need any cigs right now, and that she didn't have any ID anyways. I asked if he could just charge us for the 32 oz.. Polar Pop so we could leave. Christian then looks at his fellow attendant "Mary". She nods and he then goes to retrieve the pack of cigs. I ask him are you really going to sell her cigs without an ID? I then tell him that if he does I am going to make a formal complaint. He says my friend looks old enough and he can still sell to her anyways. At that point I asked for the other attendants name she replied "Mary". I told them that I was shocked that they disregarded my requests and would be making a complaint. I then left the store and waited outside for my friend to finish so we could leave together. Outside i sat and waited for her. After about 15-20 mins. I noticed her still standing out front. Walking up to her I noticed she had 4 or 5 receipts in her hand. Christian and Mary had charged her for 4 sodas and 4 packs of different cigs. She was complaining to them that they we not "real" cigs and asking for the owners name and number so she could call and complain. Clearly she was not acting rational. Upset I walked back in the store and said to Christian are we done? Are we done selling her cigs? He replied...Ya. Mary then informed me that my friend kept buying cigs crying and complaining about them and then throwing the packs in the trash. After digging through the inside trash-can for two packs and the outside one for two more packs we left for the night. I am shocked that people would take advantage of someone that they knew and was clearing told was on medications.

This is not shocking, they are not taking advantage of anyone. You are the one treating your friend like she is a four year old child. As an adult if they refused to sell her the cigarettes they can be sued for discrimination. I bet your friend was angry that you were treating her as if she is four years old. Also they generally only ask for ID if the person is under 40. You just wanted to control your friend and were angry that they treated her like an adult. How would you like it if someone discriminated against you and treated you like a child. You sure act like one so why not treat you like one.

Circle K hygiene of manager

I've been with the company for 8 years. My current manager is disgusting af. I have always had female managers and ever since the new male manager has worked at my store, he stinks. It's like he never showers and his work shirt stinks like he doesn't do his freaking laundry. And to top it off he's pissing me off because he is asking my other co-worker why we need the upcoming Sunday off. I'm like well, it was scheduled a month in advance so he shouldn't have anything to complain about. So on top of no hygiene practice at all, he mistreats his employees.
