I accepted this trial for looking over a service for travel and savings for the family, I think it also had to do with free credit report as a bonus feature.
Anyhow~ I called to cancel and threw out the information about it. Well on my last months statement I was charged a $12.95 fee which is a monthly charge. I called the bank and also looked further into finding a phone number, but no as of yet is one available. I have most of the numbers but the last 4 are missing as was confirmed with my bank as well.

Beware!

CIC Triple Advantage has been charging both my husband's and my bank cards for services we have not registered for. Each month they charge anywhere from $11.95 to $14.95 for EACH card. To date, they owe us $123.55 as a result of these fraudulent charges. A claim will also be filed with the BBB. CIC Triple Advantage does not have any contact information available in order to stop the charges to my account.

I went online to get my husband and I credit report at freecreditreport.com and they charged me $24.95 for each. This was less than 6 months ago. Now they just charged my account again in two installments of $12.95 each. What is going on here? They said it is a yearly fee for there service and to cancel at anytime. What service? I haven't received any of there services! It is not free they are a scam! Watch out for them.

I knew nothing about this until I received my monthly statement. Found out that they do this when you request a free credit report. It is nothing but a total scam and they will be reported to the Attorney General in Florida and California.

I signed up for what I was lead to believe was a one time free credit report with CIC Triple Advantage in December 2005. I just realized that they have been charging my account $12.95 every month since December 2005 without my knowledge. I never requested a monthly credit report. I canceled and was reimbursed this month only, June 2007. I never authorized these monthly charges. I was never even notified that I was receiving any type of monthly credit report. This has been going on for over a year without my knowledge.

There are numerous complaints regarding this company. I did get through to the customer service department. After explaining that I didn't sign up for any membership, the operator explained it was spelled out in the offer. She canceled it for me, but I won't be getting the money back. This is a scam!

I went on-line for a free credit report. Now I am getting $12 charges on my credit card each month. I never ordered anything that required a monthly charge of $12. My credit card company has removed the charges but a new $12 charge has appeared on my current statement. This is fraud! This company is unethical. These charges must stop.

For at least 3 months now, CIC Triple Advantage has been charging me $12.95 for a service I did not request, do not want, and have not received.

CIC Triple Advantage has charged 12.95 from my checking account without authorization and there are no numbers to contact them and inquire why? If you are experiencing the same problem contact your bank and start a internal investigation.

I did the free credit report and I have now been charged months later. I tried to get a number to cancel the charges and could not find one. I will call visa and dispute these charges.

I paid $24.95 for my 'free' credit report and have now been billed $12.95 from my checking account. This monthly charge was not authorized by me and I need to find out how to stop it.

Beware people!

I had no idea when I signed in to get a free credit report on freecreditreport.com that they would start charging me $12.95 per month on my credit card. It certainly was not clear on the website what I was getting myself into, but I think that was intentional on their part. A more responsible site would make it clear that by having a report sent to you, you would incur a monthly charge. What a scam.

After reviewing my credit report on Freecreditreport.com I started receiving charges that I never authorized on my credit card. The monthly fee was 12.00. I told the company that what they were doing was tatamount to slamming a technique long distance companies did years ago. I have filed a complaint with my credit card company in hopes of receiving five months worth of charges. This company is a scam and needs to be shut down.

CIC Triple Advantage
Unauthorized charges!

I thought i was signing up for a free credit report and now for 3 months they have been charging my bank account almost $20.00. I do not use it and feel I should get my money back. I cannot even find a phone number or even a contact me or an e-mail. I do not have the money for it and I do not even use it. Like i said i thought i was getting my one time free credit report.

Very much the same. Mine was something I just noticed 6 months later at $12 per month.

Thank you,
Martin Gruber

They have been ripping me off for over six months. I’ve called several times to have my “membership” cancelled for a service I never signed up for to begin with and I am tired of being manipulated via telephone. Each time, I was told it was cancelled yet I am still being charged monthly for this service that I do not use.

I'm not sure what else I can from here.

In December 2007 I received a bill for $14.95 from CIC Triple Advantage. Didn't even know what that was. Have been working for 3 months now (into March) to have this charge discontinued. This was totally unauthorized and fraud claim was served through my credit card company. I'm having a heck of a time getting anywhere and can't even cancel my credit card.

CIC has made deductions from our checking account for 12.00 and 12.95 for the last 2-3 months. I called them 3/25/08 and asked them to cancel this because I did not order and do not want and more deductions from my account. They assured me the account was cancelled. Well, on 3/27/08 another charge came thru my account for 12.95. I called them back and they said they do not show deducting anything from my account since 3/21/08 and for me to call my bank. I called my bank and they will investigate, but they recommended we cancel our debit cards, which we did. Hopefully this will stop them.1

Recieved a so called free onetime credit report and for the last 4 months have had $12 taken from my account and twice in Feb. Please send me info on how to get this stopped. And get my money back and all charges I have incurred as a result.

I canceled my account in the 30 day free trial period, they charged me in 14 days of my registration, I requested a refund of 3 months of charges and they refused to issue more than one month of charges. I have to write a letter to the "customer Relations" division of the company to get the remainder of my $$ refunded.

I went to this site to look at my FREE credit report, and I ended up with a $14.95 a month charged on my account for 3 months. At first I had no idea what it was for, I thought it was some kind of service charge from my bank. I called CIC and they said i could only get one month refunded.

I went to freecreditreport.com which, as suggested by the name, should be free, well they ask you for your credit card number so they can supposedly look up your credit report, but what they don't tell you is that they will charge your credit card 14.95 every month until you call and cancel your service with them, that you never even wanted in the first place... my advice is don't get involved with freecreditreport.com... the number to call and cancel your service with them is [protected]).

Same as the others. CIC triple advantage has been billing me $14.95/month for a "free" credit check since January 2008. (This is what I can check and confirm). I never authorized the service.

The only complaint I have is that I'm being charged for something that I didn't order on this web site or anything. I have to pay an overdraft charge plus the 31.98. I will be talking to a lawyer about this.

I just noticed on my bank account that charges have been made to my checking that I did not recognize. This credit report company has been charging me 14.95 a month since April. This is ridiculous. Their name is so similar to one of the federal credit report websites that I never realized this was not a government agency. I am going to call tomorrow and stop them from charging my account. Everyone else seems to have had a lot of problems getting through. I hope I don't.

This CIC aka Triple Advantage (Subsidiary of EXPERIAN) has charged me for 7 months even after contacting them and making sure it was cancelled. They have been in multiple class action lawsuits and have even been taken to court by the FTC (Fair Trade Commission). It appears that they will stop at nothing to rip off the general populace! Perhaps it is time for another Class Action Lawsuit? Anbody interested in this possibility please write to [redacted]@think-computers.com STRENGTH IN NUMBERS is the only way to go against this multi-billion dollar company. The few dollars they are forced to refund to the few that complain directly does not even phase them. They need to to be STOPPED from doing this to those which are overwhelmed by the process and throw their hands up in desperation.

My husband canceled CIC Triple Advantage coverage over four months ago through the automated service. The next month the $12.95 charge was still on our account. My husband called and spoke to someone in customer service. He was told it would be canceled and he would receive an e-mail confirming it. He never did and this months here the charges show up again. Then I decided to call and talk to someone. They told me they could not cancel because I did not have the "OLD" debit card. (which by the way someone stole my number and used it and I had to cancel it!) I raised *ell with them until they did cancel it and when I asked about refunding my money for the last three months, well guess what, they don't do refunds. I WILL get my money back! I will go as far as I have to.

For several months CIC Triple Advantage has been charging me for service I never ordered. I have called them several times. Usually I am just hung up on. I have gotten several overdraft charges because of them. They don't care. By the way, they are heavy Republican campaign contributers. My tax dollars at work.
