They have charged $12.95 a month out of my checking account for the past two months. I DON'T WANT A CREDIT REPORT SERVICE! Just looked into free credit report to see what was entailed, and all of the sudden they are taking out money every month. Don't need it..don't want it. How do we get rid of them?

I did not authorize any funds to be deducted from my account and cancelled the credit report before they should have billed me... I was charged 14.95 and think that my money should be refunded

I tried this credit reporting agency, which stated that the service was free for 30 days, the company was notified 10 days prior to expiration was trial period. I was Debited $12.95 from my checking account with no approval by me, what plan of action is there for me to get my money back, this theft that this company has committed. Advise smb!

In an effort to clean up her credit my daughter signed up with Triple Advantage to get free credit reports. She did not register for any extra benefits and should but since that time has been getting monthly charges on her debit card. She has twice called the company to request that they stop charging her, they have agreed to do so each time, but continue to charge her account each month. This is the worst! Totally unfair to take advantage of people who are attempting to use their services to get their finances in order!

This company has been billing me since Feb. for services I didn't want. The phone# on my credit card shows up exactly as above [protected]) with 1 digit conveniently missing so I couldn't contact them. I think this company is ripping me and other people off.

I just noticed an unauthorized charge of $14.95 to my card and called the bank to reverse it. I see that many others have had this occur, but unlike some, I never signed up for a service or gave them my credit card number. I am somewhat disturbed by this, as I am unaware as to how they got my credit card info in the first place.

My wife had something similar happen with another company just within the last two weeks. I hope the economy hasn't kicked off a rash of bogus charges by unscrupuous companies on the unsuspecting public with the hopes that most won't notice. I will be checking my account daily from here on out.

When I signed up to receive my free credit report, I originally applied for the Triple advantage report. After I decided I did not want that service any back in February, they have continued to bill my checking account every month for $12.95. I would appreciate it if someone would check into this matter.

Thanks

I recently got charged also for the amount of $12.95 by FreeCredit Report.Com/CIC Triple Advantage for a service I never actually signed up for. A lot of people have been scammed for the same reason and the same complaint. But what I don't understand is how did this company got hold of all my bank details and VISA debit card number and charged me $12.95.

They have done the same thing to my fiance'. Lucky he caught it within 3 moths of the first charge. He called and cancelled and then raised a little hell until they refunded the last charge. Then he disputed the other 2 moths with his credit card company. I found it funny that when he gave the name on the statement to the costomer rep. she immediatly knew it was free credit report. com, without even looking it up on the computer! She immediatly refunded the other 2 months and blocked CIC from charging him again. Looks like Bank of America has dealt with them before...and I wouldn't be surprised if they have sued CIC. My fiance' did some checking on the net and found that there are lawsuits against CIC in 6 different states already! I just want everyone to know that if you stay persistant with CIC and your credit card company, you can get ALL of your money back.

Contacted center through internet trying to find my credit score. After being told to cancel and not charge my credit card again, they are still taking 14.95 off my card monthly.

I went to a website to get a free credit report. I completed the information, and never saw anywhere that indicated I would be automatically charged each month, but that is what happened. I called and requested my name be taken off their list. One month later, mine was taken off the list and my husbands was still being charged. Again I called, this time it took 15 minutes of hassling and listening to a woman tell me this didn't happen unless I had subscribed to the credit report. This is a deceptive process, and apparently a somewhat shady way of doing things. If something says FREE, that is what it should be! Now tell me, why would anybody want to pay each month for the privilege of seeing their credit score, it doesn't change that often!

These people withdrew 29.90 from my card without being authorized to do so... when i called to find out who they are or what it was for i was told when i viewed my "free credit report" i was automatically signed up for a recurring monthly charge. I tried to explain to these people that i never viewed my free credit report they said "oh well" we cant give you your money back because we dont have access to your credit card, funy they had access to with draw money but not to put it back. I had to cancel my card to avoid anymore unauthorized charges! Screw these people!

I have never had any deal with the CIC Triple Advantage, but they charge membership/service fee from my Capital One credit card which I never authorized or signed any membership agreement . I called twice to dispute that charges, cancelled everything, and asked them to inform me. My last contact with CIC Triple Advantage was 4/14/2007, and their representative RAZ told me call back again next day, or Monday, because their computer system is out of order and he cannot help me. That kind of attitude has nothing with normal service and looks like a fraud.

Please, help me to stop this imposed service.

The number is [protected] call this company to make your complaint, everyone of you needs to be stern, we need to get our money back from these thiefs. This is a scam operation. The government needs to know that this company is using false advertising and is enticing consumers into giving there credit card information online or over the telephone. Call your local radio stations, call your local tv stations, call your mayor, call your governor, this issue needs to be raised. This company is getting away with illegal procedures. There are thousands of you who don't give a crap about 12 dollars a month, but when the illegal wire transfers are taking your money from your account, it is SERIOUS. There are many more thousands of us who don't like being taken for fools.

Some time ago I entered into what I ultimately determined was an on-line scam to get on-line users to buy into different companies asking me to choose several different companies to go to and to fill out requested information. At the end there was to be a gift certificate for $500.00 given to Lowe's it was right before Christmas and I was broke so I decided to try it. The first section was alright and ultimately did not cost me anything but after completing the requirements for one section it would move you to another section each time promising that this would be the last section. In all I submitted to Blockbuster Video and recieving movies from them via mail, I was able to contact them and cancel the deal. Then several major credit card companies of which I was not approved and therefore not eligible to move past those sections it was impossible for me to reach the end. In addition was Columbia house video which would not except my cancellation and I am still fighting with. Then several on-line business oppurtunities one of which I contacted but after finding it to be a pyramid type set-up promptly backed out of but still recieve a minimum of two phone calls every other day from a George Jones [protected] and a woman of which I can't remember the name [protected]. In addition my e-mail has been bombarded with junk e-mail from differnet companies (FreeMusic Connection, www.victor.cubbitu.com/?, and others) of which no matter how many times I un-subscribe continue to send me more than sixty e-mails a day many of them duplicated 6-8 times and being sent at the same time. Of these problems only CIC CE has managed to take money out of my account. HELP!

To whom it may concern,

I have noticed a $14.95 charge on my credit card for the past three months. I am aware that I did request a credit report from freecreditreport.com. I never received a completed report and would like to cancel my request and stop this charge from showing up on future credit card bills.

How do I go about doing this?

This company automatically enrolls you in their "credit monitoring service" when you request a credit report through "freecreditreport.com". Unfortunately, the paragraph notifying you of this is in blue text over a blue background. After thirty days of enrollment (during which time they do not contact you) the company begins billing $12.95 on the 18th of each month.

On February 2, 2009, I was notified by HEWFCU that my account was more than 31 days overdrawn. Please make deposits suffiecient to cover all transaction and fees. After receiving this statement, I decided to contact HEWFCU in order to resolve the current negative balance. I was told that CIC CE Credit Report had debit the account on several occasion in the amount of 14.95. After speaking with HEWFCU - Branch Manager, I called the number provided for CIC CE Credit Report [protected]) the number instructed me to call [protected] which was not a correct listing for CIC CE Credit Report. I searched the internet and found information alongside multiple complaints for unathorize debit of charge accounts and correct contact information. I called CIC CE Credit Report a.k.a. FreeCreditReport.com representaive Liz employee #433 explain that the company was charged with monitoring my credit and with doing so there is a monthly fee of 14.95. I explain to Liz employee #433 this was being done without permission. I request to have the account cancelled and my charge account refund for the charged amounts. She stated the company do not offer refunds and besides it to your advantage that we monitor your credit "to prevent fraud". I responded well your company just commited fraud against me and I would like to file a complaint "can I speak with a manger" she replied NO, I can have my supervisor review your account or write to P.O 19729, Irvin CA 92623. I accept both and was told that my charge account will refunded in 7-10 days. This company needs to STOP deceptive business practice before it subjected to a lawsuit

I called the number provided to me in my account and talked to India, to where the young girl was very hesitant on cancelling my account due to some information that I will not be receiving in regards to my credit score. She wanted to transfer me to another extension and I expressed to her that I do not need the services provided any longer, she wasn't to happy, I kept insisting on cancelling my subscription. Finally the fouth time I expressed to her that I no longer needed it she reluctantly "cancelled" my subscription. I have received the cancellation notice.

Like most of the people here, I went to freecreditreport.com. I already get credit monitoring for Equifax, due to an identity theft problem. but Equifax only alerts me if I need to know something going to the other collection agencies, it won't give me a full report. So I went to freecreditreport.com to see if I could look further into it without having to pay, since I know you're entitled to a 1 free credit report each year. They claim that they only need your cc info to verify you, and you get a free 30 day trial. I put my info in, and it did not go through! I never got to use the service, and assumed the 30 day trial did not start since I got no confirmation email, a month later I'm being charged $12.95. I called them up, and the argued with me, saying that they did in fact send me a confirmation email and an email letting me know that the trial period was ending when I was going to be charged. Um, NO, I never got any emails from you and I was never actually able to use the service! I probably won't be getting the $12.95 back, but he did cancel the service for me, and I'm going to be checking my credit card bill closely to make sure he actually did cancel it, after reading other horror stories here.

Last year I signed up for a "free" credit check at www.freecreditreport.com. I entered in my information (which included my debit card number) and was told that my first month was free but I needed to cancel the account to avoid being charged a monthly fee. After looking over my credit history and score I immediately canceled my account through freecreditreport.com. This was last September. I occasionally got emails from freecreditreport.com telling me about my "new credit information" and I went to the website on two different occasions and both times it told me that I did not have access because I needed to start a subscription. Well, I just noticed today that a charge of $12.95 was taken out of my account yesterday from CIC Triple Advantage. I did not recognize the name. After looking through my banking history I noticed that these payments of $12.95 have been coming out of my account for the last 10 months. That is a total of $129.50! I googled 'CIC Triple Advantage' and everything that came up was all about this big credit scam. I immediately contacted CIC Triple Advantage and told them about the problem. I told them that after cancelling my freecreditreport.com account I could no longer access any of my information through that website... so what was I being charged for? The supervisor told me that I COULD access my information through that account, but I just chose not to. That is absolutely NOT true... I had cancelled my freecreditreport.com account the DAY I first signed up for it and was not able to access it at any time after that. I told the supervisor at CIC Triple Advantage that and asked him what service I had been paying for if I could not access the services at freecreditreport.com. The supervisor ignored my question every time I asked and kept interrupting me. CIC Triple Advantage STOLE that money out of my account for a service that I was unable to use! All I have found out about this company is complaints... why is this company still in business and still being allowed to steal hard-earned money from unsuspecting people?

After I made the free credit report request, my debit card was automatically billed $12.95 for a service I did not authorize or even know about. Bank will not reverse the charge and freecreditreport.com said it was not there fault. I was deceived and cheated by freecreditreport.com and CIC Triple Advantage.

I signed up for a free credit report through Freecreditreport.com. Then the charges began to roll in at $12.95 every month. I requested a cancellation of my account that apparently fell on deaf ears. After 3 months of charges, I eventually had to escalate my request via phone to a supervisor. The number called was [protected]. The hold was lengthy, but well worth it. I guess I'll see next month if the charge still shows up.

For the months of March and April, I have received unauthorized credit card charges of $14.95 per month. I ordered a "Free Credit Report" and typed in my credit card number thinking that this was going to show something about my credit, however I have been charged the 14.95 per month since I ordered the report. So I would NEVER enter my credit card on any site when you are ordering a "Free Credit Report".

Got free credit report online as a 1 time service. Elected not to sign up for monthly service and left sight. They needed card for proof of ID and said no charges. My bank statement shows a $9.95 charge on 6/27/2007. Can not find contact # to stop service I did not sign up for.

Beware!

I checked my credit report back in December. The CIC CE Credit Report sight said it needed a credit card for verification purposes and it would not charge my card for the free credit report. However, every attempt I have made to stop the charges have failed. I've gone on their sight several times and it gives me not customer service numbers or POCs to shut off the charges. To date I've paid $72.
