In december 2007, I received a letter from chrysler corp offering an early lease termination of 5 payments on my chrysler crossfire srt6 if I leased a new chrysler. I gave the letter to urban chrysler in foothill ranch, ca and leased a new chrysler 300c. 2 months later chrysler financial began hounding me for past due payments on the old lease.in the meantime, the dealer has gone bankrupt and I am unable to retrieve a copy of this letter. This letter should be common knowledge at chrysler financial, yet they have ripped me off for $1860 because they know I can't obtain the letter from the bankrupt dealer. This is atrocious!

My complaint is with Chrysler Financial and their collection practices. I was one payment behind and when the came to repossess the car the other payment had posted. The rep stated that I was three payments behind and after our records we kept were pulled, it showed one payment behind and the other payments were there. Then I was told to pay a certain amount in order to keep the car. I called for the West Union number to send the payment, then the amount went up. The rep was very rude and told me to turn in the car or he would report the car missing to the police. I told him that I needed the car and was willing to pay the first amount that he gave, then he told me to turn the car in and hung up in my face. I called back the next day,and the amount increased as usual and decided to turn in the car peacefully. A loan was taken out for the full balance for the car within the amount of time they gave us and when we called back to have the money $12,000+ transferred to them, they told us that we could not get back the car. It was within the 19 or 20 days that it was told to us that we could get the car back. The very rude rep told us that the car auction date was a month away and we had to pay the balance.

THEY HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO HAVE THE ENTIRE AMOUNT WITHOUT AUCTIONING OFF THE CAR. We had bank statements showing the entire balance in the account. They then tried to sue us and collect $6000+, and they finally won because I had a personal emergency and could not make the court date. WHY TRY TO COLLECT $6000 WHEN YOU COULD HAVE HAD THE ENTIRE BALANCE $12,000+? It is called poor collection practices by reps who only was interested in ruining someone's credit report and collecting their commission checks, versus customer service skills. Please be careful when signing these type of contracts with finance companies.

Chrysler Financial is not a finance company. Leases are prepayment aka paid in advance and are based on good credit. Chrysler Financial is a service company that only accept payments and is suppossed to service the lease agreement (?). Both, the dealer (Lessor) and customer (Lessee) are assignors to CF (assignee), but CF is only interested in money and screwing the customer out of more money. I bet CF isn't incorporated as a finance company...check their article of incorporation. CF is a front company in bed with the dealers, courts, and any other illegal entity. CF goes under numerous names and their entire operation is ILLEGAL. Pay your state taxes CF!

I am having the same problem as all of you. I was never behind on my payments and Chrysler called and called and sent me a repossession notice. My car is paid off and they still want 460 dollars. I asked for a copy of my account history to find that they changed my contract purchase date and due date to 1 month earlier and I have my western union confirmation letters that clearly show them double charging for western union fees. There were too many notices with the wrong fees to be an isolated incident. There were other problems with their accounting practices as well. I'm currently fighting this. Call western Union and obtain copies of your confirmation letters if you paid by phone and get a copy of your account history...Chrysler is a mess

Apparently, Chrysler Financial is going under, or actually having someone else assume all their debts and ranting customers. GMAC is projected to take over at the end of 2011 or beginning of 2012.
Customer service is awful, and I am referring to the "superviors", not the reps that answer the phone initially and are in outsourced sites.
Just got hung up on by a "supervisor". Apparently, they did not have my loan set up to have extra payments applied to principle, although the financial manager at the Allan Samuels dealership told me it would be that way. "You don't have to write an extra check. It is automatic". So for the last 3 years I have been paying at least $100.00 extra per month, give or take 7 or 8 times, and all this has done has pushed my due date and balance up about 3 months. Chrysler Financial assures me that principle is being paid on with my extra payments. Duh, at some point you do start making a dent in your principle. But...not in the manner that was told to me at point of sale. So...to make a long story short, I will pay off my car a few months early. About 2-3. But I will have paid the same approximate amount for the car, only earlier. I am so tempted to take my savings and pay the whole thing off and never have to deal with their customer service again. I could have put the extra money I paid each month into the lowest interest bearing account and still have made more than where I am at now.
Oh, and get this one: one of the international reps told me that the reason that the payment was pused up a few months with a lower amount due was to ensure that Chrylser customers always paid their payments on time to help with their FICO score. WTF?! I called him on that one and said bull.
They really do not care about repeat business. Or that my local BBB has them rated at a F+. No pysical address to go to, just a PO Box or I would have already been there.
I am glad to see a direction to start with my Fiance Commision of Texas letter I will be writing them as the lady had done with her complaint in Maryland. It is hard to know who to write or complain to but her letter helped me get started.

chrysler should have gone under...bottom line, I wen't into a dealership knowing what i could afford...a 22, 000 dollar car. they ran my credit through dcfs and told me i should buy the car that was 41, 000 and i was approved on the spot. Luckily i know what my disposible income level is and i told them no thanks the one that was 21, 780 was fine. 2 managers later, i walked out. I coulden't believe that they would push so hard to sell that crappy ASPEN! Truth is, it's a combination of chrysler financial and the retail sales force pushing to put people to the brink of their finances. The Gov't bailout gave them huge testicles to go chase all the risky loans they knew would probably fail. Practices like these are what gets financial industries in trouble. To make a long story short, I bought a used and loaded jeep rubicon through a local used car lot and used a local bank! I think I made the right decision every day i look out the window...It's only a matter of time, bad business can only go on for sooooo long!

This person sounds like a real piece of work. Chrysler has never offered me an extension and when Ihave been brave enough to ask for one, I am am told lets make arrangements on this payment and if you need the extension, we will do it next month. The person is probably a "Boiler Room" call freak that makes minimum and his big prize is the commission if he collects.

We work hard and hit hard times like everyone else, recently Chrysler came upon hard times and received a government bailout, which is something that we didn't recieve. Chrysler didn't follow collection practices with me and Ihave proof. If I can, I hope to have an attorney file a class action against them for their unfair practices then we will see it the government bails them out again. This company is a wart on the nose of good business' and offer nothing.

Balooga or Blair, your day will come and this will hit you hard. Just because we hit a rough patch, doesn't make us deadbeats you idiots. We are human. Chrysler hit a rough patch and was bailed out, what does that make them in your eyes? Get real! It is ### like you that have attorney's scrambling with class action lawsuits against questionable practices. Which is why most debts from thrid party collection companies get erased. You can not threaten someone. People, call your state Attorney General and I will guarnatee you people like Balooga and Blair and their companies will be stopped.

So, essentially, you lost a letter from the dealership, which is now bankrupt, proving that you did precisely what you were supposed to do, with all the important information on it, so that you would not have to shell out any more money.
Is that about right?
So, why is it the finance company's fault that you lost a letter from a franchised dealership? The company that built the car is NOT the same as the franchise that sold that car. Neither of them are the same as the company that financed the car.
Think of it this way: Levi's, bought from K-Mart, with a Visa card. Levi made the jeans. K-Mart sold the jeans. Visa paid for the jeans. If you go back to K-Mart because you have to return the jeans, and you don't have the receipt, that all-important piece of paper, what will you get?
Exactly.

We have a Dodge Durango and over the past year my husband has lost his job and I have had a pay cut of almost 10, 000. We have 4 children and are on no kind of welfare at all and are trying to keep it all together. Even if I am one day late they start calling me at work and some times will call up to 3 times a day at my work even though i have told them I can not have calls like that at work. I have been late on several payments but always make the payment including the late fee and they treat you like you are dirt every time you call in. Today I called in to make my payment because the past couple months have been bad we were two months behind on the 29th of october I called today to make the sepetember payment and they didn't want to take it unless I paid both payments and told me that even if I paid the one and didn't set up another payment that they would come and repo my car! can they do that if you are only one month behind? I will never finance a car thru them ever again it has been like this the entire loan and no one there wants to help you at all, they just want to chastise you for being late and treat you like you are dirt even if you are trying to give them money. You would think with the way the economy is they would take what ever payments they could get but I guess that doesn't matter.

chrysler financal you wonder why customers wont come back? i was in a jeep lease for 27 months only put on 24k miles on the 27k lease, vehicle always maintained and clean. turned in, never ever smoked in, no accidents, salesman said they would have no problem selling it. at 19 thousand miles i had to get the front calipers replaced at 400 plus dollars and chrysler would do nothing abt it. payment was always on time and never late. after turn in time im faced with a 450 dollar turn in fee. in calling the credit company there is very little wiggle room and they want the money now. i ask for what service am i paying for and they say its a turn in fee for cleaning etc. i feel im jammed up a bit with this as i paid for things like brakes that should have been warranty covered. so the lesson is truly dont buy chrysler, no matter how much they tout american etc they in this economy dont care. its a take it or leave it and we ll jam you credit if you dont pay. chevy and ford and honda do not have a turn in fee. so be aware. my thanks.- gfjs pt huron michigan

I have GAP insurance through CHrysler. I totaled my truck while trying to avoid an elk during a storm. THey sent me 6 pages of instructions needed for proof of my total. In the meantime, I bought another car a Jeep., It has been almost 60 days, and Chrysler still hasn't started the GAP payment, though the paperwork was finished several weeks ago. They say it will be the customary 90 days, no less, before they will release the funds. In the meantime I will lose the vehicle I just bought. Yes, they are a bad company to do financial business with. It is no wonder that they went belly=up. I wonder how much their CEO got as a bonus this year. I think it was many millions. Probably paid from the Stimulus Bill.

LETTER OF COMPLAINT
The Commissioner of Financial Regulation- Mr. Simmons
500 North Calvert Street, Suite 402
Baltimore, Maryland [protected]
[protected]
_____________________________________________________________________________
September 14, 2009

This letter is to inform the State of Maryland Office of Commissioner for Financial Regulation that I am requesting their assistance through this complaint. I am a 69 year old widow, the recent lost of my husband has cause some delay in my personal affairs. With the assistance of my family, I have been able to re-organize my affairs with their overseeing. I intend to redeem my vehicle back and I have contacted Chrysler Financial for the process. The information that has been given to me on more than 3 conversations has not been consistent. I feel their collection actions are taking advantage of my age and lack of knowledge for the law. Please assist me in protecting my rights for I question the actions of Chrysler Financial and the storage company MCN-MC Recovery 7517 Belair Road, Baltimore Md 21236.
September 10, 2009 at 12:00pm, a tow truck entered the driveway and removed my vehicle. The next day I noticed marks left on the driveway due to the van being pulled. September 11, 2009 I called Chrysler Financial to discuss the repo of my vehicle. At this time it was confirmed that the car was taken due to three past due payments. The representative at Chrysler Financial stated no information was available at this time, to call back tomorrow to get the figures for reinstatement or payoff.
September 14, 2009 I placed 3 phone calls to Chrysler Financial, on 2 of the calls I had a separate representative on my behalf on the line during the conversation. The representative was asked to assist me and witness the conversation. The Chrysler Financial reps were told of her presents. The following is the documented information that was given to me from the 3 phone calls to Chrysler Financial.
9:00 am placed call, spoke to Chrysler Financial representative Ms. Alexa.
• I asked if she could share with me the information that would be needed to redeem back my vehicle. A this time she stated I would need to wired the past due payments over, give the names and phones of 6 people I know, show a current paystub, bill with my name/address on it and proof of insurance coverage.
• I questioned her about the redeem options and she told me their are 2 options reinstate or payoff. We discussed the figures for both options; she stated the cost for storage of the vehicle was separate at a rate of $350.00 day! I ended the call in disbelief and contacted a 3rd party for assistant and help with the process.
12:00pm I along with my representative placed a 2rd call back to Chrysler Financial and spoke to Representative Paula Tan. I informed her that a 3rd person was on the line to assist me with the process. I again questioned my options to get the vehicle back because I was preparing to send the funds and necessary paper work. At this time the representative stated I had 2 options, reinstate or payoff.
• The amounts that were given as of today are $1393.69 for reinstatement –with a good through date of Oct, 4th 2009. Payoff amount of $6369.17 as of today – with a $2.23 increase rate daily until paid off.
• Car would go to auction for sale on September 28, 2009 or sooner, she was unsure on the timeframe and could not be clear.
• Requested written documentation about my rights for redeeming the vehicle back. Asked about the Required Notice. She stated it was mailed out on the 11th. At this time I confirmed my address had recently changed and give the new address, and requested for a certified letter to be resend out. I questioned her on the timeframe and she stated it would take 7-10day. I asked if it could be faxed, she stated it would take 7-10 day.
• Towing fee of $370.00 was included in the amounts stated above and the storage fee was separate. The company that is holding the van is called MCN-MC Recovery # [protected]. The representative stated she could not give information on the daily rate they charge. She told me to contact them because Chrysler Financial doesn’t handle the storage rates. Contacted MCN-MC Recovery a worker, that would not give his name stated, “we don’t know the rate and will not give that to you until Chrysler Financial faxing the release over. At that time they will tell us what to charge you!”
2:00pm placed call back to Chrysler Financial with the assistance again of my representative to share the information the storage company had given me. Spoke back with Chrysler Financial‘s representative Ms. Alexa.
• Called Maryland State Office of the Commissioner for Financial Regulations to file complaint and get assistance.
• Ms. Alexa confirmed that the address charge was in the system. My representative questioned her again on the storage rate fee ($350.00 a day) that was quoted to me earlier by Ms. Alexa. She stated that was not correct but she didn’t know what the rate would be, it may range from $10.00 –$ 60.00 a day. She again referred me the Storage Company to obtain that information.
• Questioned her about how to move forward before the 7-10 day timeframe to resend the certified letter to new address. She stated, you can fax the documents over that we have requested earlier. I questioned her on why I needed to provide the names/phone numbers of 6 people this was a privacy issue of their information. I informed her that I receive Social Security benefit Income and awaiting deceased spouse pensions. I do have current proof of insurance on the van and the funds to reinstate the vehicle.
• Ms. Alexa stated I would need to send this information in or fax it before the car could be release. I wrote the fax number down and her name as contact. Would fax as much of the information I could over on September 15, 2009.
• Called the storage company back again to request the rate, spoke to a supervisor named Sandy. She stated the daily rate was $30.00 a day.
September 15, 2009 contacted CF to confirm the payoff amount and city code for western union wire of the funds. When I questioned the rep about the additional fees like storage he again referred me to MCN-MC Recovery. The following conversation took place with the individual that stated she was the office supervisor “Sandy”.
• During the call I asked for my representative to be present. I told Sandy that I give the representative permission to speak on my behalf. Sandy stated- you can’t do that with us we are not Chrysler Financial. She then stated you need to speak for yourself Mrs. Griggs, what do you want. I asked if the car was still at this location because we are making arrangement with my towing company. Sandy stated – I don’t know hold on.
• She returned to the phone and stated where is Mr. Griggs, why is he not helping you in stand of this representative. My representative stated he is recently deceased, how unprofessional and ignorant of you! My representative stated Mrs. Griggs is a 69 year old widow, left to handle her affairs without the assistance of her spouse. Individuals in this age group consult with the Department of Aging and other organizations all the time, due to unprofessional ignorant business practices like this! My representative asked “Sandy” what was the age of her mother and would their not come a time that she may need assistance? Have you ever heard of the word “Lawyer”?
• Sandy stated, what is wrong with you Mrs. Griggs? If you can’t handle your own phone calls, how are you going to drive this vehicle? I stated to her can you please just answer my question, why would I be obligated to discuss this with you. Sandy stated, it’s here and I don’t know for how long. I asked what the rate per day was and do you charge for weekends. She stated yes and you can call Chrysler Financial about the cost not us!
I am very shock about the unprofessional, disrespectful conversations that were hold with both companies. Had I not asked for assistance from a 3rd party, who knows what type of rude misleading acts these individuals, would have taken? If I were a male or 30yrs younger would this type of treatment taken place? I worry about the “Senior Population” and their ability to handle business tactics like this. Chrysler Financial stated they are not responsible for the information given by these individuals or the handling/ damage of the vehicles while under their care.

Was in a rollover accident back in 2005 and totalled out my FORD EXPLORER so decided to go with a DODGE DAKOTA that was a good decision the bad decision was going with CHRYSLER FINANCIAL AS FAR AS GETTING APPROVED FOR A LOAN BELIEVE ME I WILL NOT DO IT AGAIN. Everyone I have talked to from customer service has been rude, uneducated, and cannot understand or comprehend what I am saying about getting LAID OFF FROM MY JOB OF 6 YEARS AND HOW I AM STRUGGLING TO GET BACK ON MY FEET AFTER MY SECOND LAY OFF FROM A TEMP TO HIRE JOB IN A MATTER OF 6 MONTHS mind you I am late on my payments and I did devise a payment plan for them that would get them my payment but also gives me alittle money for food, my son, and gas but they WILL NOT except it they want the full amount by the 30th of this month or they will start repo process and since my job is a temp to hire I cannot get a refinance I never had any problems when I financed through FORD MOTOR CREDIT AS MUCH AS I AM HAVING WITH THIS GOVERNMENT FUNDED BAILED OUT COMPANY

I had several accounts with Chrysler Financial over the past 12 or so years. The first two were ok, no problems. However, this last experience is one I will never forget. They called me up to two weeks BEFORE my payment was due! I never heard of this in my life. I would explain that I pay online and that if they would look they would see that I am never late and then explain that they would receive their payment online and on-time as always. Think that would be good enough? Think they would figure it out, here is a good paying customer...leave him alone. NO, next day...same conversation. Every day until the payment was made...never late, still harassed. I told one of the representatives to come over to my house and sit on my porch, then ask me where his money is every time I walk up to the door! He was pissed at that one, but not as mad as I was over their harassment. That loan is paid off and I am doing business elsewhere now.

Not all of their customers are dead beats... many pay the bills on time. Guess what...if you don't appreciate the business you have- you won't have any business. Business goes where it's welcome and stays where it's appreciated . Will I ever use them again or recommend them? That makes as much sense as calling a customer for collections that isn't late...

Steer clear of this company! You have been warned.

Interestingly the posters stating they work for CF are as rude posting here as they are on the phone. CF should be as generous with a "bail out" package for those whom have lost their income, as the tax payers have been with Chrysler.

CF call center workers,
You need compassion, and etiquette training.

With unemployment at it's highest in decades, it isn't that people don't want to pay their bills, they have to prioritize them.

Being rude to people that have been affected by the economic situation the world is currently experiencing certainly isn't the answer. Perhaps you'll understand that when your company desides it needs to "realign", and "restructure". Good luck when unemployment benefits aren't enough to put food on the table, and companies aren't adding personnel.

By law, Chrysler cannot discuss an account with anyone but the individual that the account is with. The ONLY thing they can discuss with a 3rd party is your location. Contact your state's attorney general's office. They will instruct you on how to file a formal complaint.
Keep accurate records of phone calls, conversations, etc. Include as much detail as you can with the complaint.
If it's legal in your state to record the conversations, do so, and let them know you're doing so (unless it isn't required to let them know).

I've had it with Chrysler. It doesn't matter what I've talked to them about...late payment, on-time payment, change of address - they've been incredibly rude, and are in direct violation of the FDCPA. I am currently behind with a payment. I called them two days ago, told them approximately when the payment would be made. I called them back about an hour later, and reiterated when the payment would be made. Yesterday they called and played a recording saying that they have been unable to contact me. Today they started calling numbers listed as a reference on the application, as well as neighbors (!), saying they had not heard from me.

We went through this several times with Chrysler in the past. I sent a letter letting them know which numbers they could call. In the past, they called my roommate, ordering her to go borrow the money and make the payment, even though her name isn't on the account. They call several times a day. They call before 8 a.m. They use abusive language, and make threats to everyone they talk to.

I contacted our state attorney's office once. They advised me to file a formal complaint. Tomorrow I will do so. And them I'm going to check into how to take legal action against them. This country has just given them billions of dollars. They pay their CEO'S, and then they file for bankruptcy? I don't think so. This is the last straw.

I must say I have had issues with them as well making promises and then 3 days later acting like they have no clue what your talking about. My wife lost her job and yes we did get behind, but when I called them they was very rude like everyone else states and he told me that if I made a payment they would fax me the extention papers. I told them that I got paid on Friday and this was Tuesday and would make the payment then. This was not good enough for him, so he transfered me to another rude person. I explained to him the same thing he said dont I have any friends to borrow the money off of? I said all my friends are in the same boat they cant afford to do something like that. He asked me about my parents and I told him that my mother had passed away in Jan. and he started making rude comments about my mother being dead. I told him I would see what I could do by the end of the day. I had borrowed the money from my company I work for and had the funds overnighted. They told me to call back after it was posted and get the extention forms. When I called back days later the lady asked for a fax number as she seen it in her notes. I gave it to her. Day went by and no fax. So I called them again. This new rude person states that I'm not eligible for an extention and she see's nothing in the notes stating that it was ever mentioned. They had all the info I explained to them completely wrong. I would get phone calls stating that they could work something out with me but when I asked about my original extention nothing could be found or they would call about my lease which I didnt have. This company's days are numbered! Your new vehicles are selling at 1/2 price and your checks can't even clear the bank as well even after you got bailed out by the government. I also have a Dodge Ram (not finance through chrysler thank god!) and within the first 10k miles the transmission went out. Now I have a friend that has been waiting a month for an engine to be replace on at 2500 that is less that 6 months old. Its not a wonder your going under. Without us your nothing, which explains the situation your company is in now!

I had three loans with Chrysler, the first two never had a problem with them...The third, I had nothing but problems...I submitted a payment (the same way I did with the other two) and they stated they never received the payment, I had proof from my back that they took the money...Next thing I know they started collection calls asking where my money was, I said, I don't know what you did with it...This went on for about a month, my bank called them, faxed them proof of payment, I called and sent proof of payment and never got anywhere...I was then told that if I send in a payment they would credit it back to the day the accepted the payment...I was so ticked off my bank cut them a check to payoff the entire loan...They NEVER posted any amount of the money back to the day they accepted my first payment...Wouldn't you know about a week later, I got a check from them for the full amount of the payment I initially made with them...What happened, they got sick of me calling them to find out my status of the payment since? What really ticked me off is that they had the guts to do collection calls on my money and never answered the question why they sent the money back when I got the check...My bank even called and asked why the refunded the guarentee funds that they sent them...No one never got an answer...I even email, and wrote them for the reason why they sent my money back, and they never answered...I will state, this, I will NEVER finance any more cars with this company...They do not know how to apply a payment to an account, and no one there keeps their promise of posting the next payment back to the date they originally accepted the payment.

first of all i have a loan with chrysler financial since 2005, never been late, mailed a check out jan 3 2009 for the payment, it supposedy got lost in the mail, first time in 4 years, i mail another check out right awy, a week later i get a call, no payments have been received, then i have to beg the person on the phone to get me an english speaking person, once this is done the conversation goes great or so i thought, received another call a fe days ago, no checks were ever received and they had no idea i have spoken to 3 people already by this time, low and behold chrysler tells me that they are involved in an investagation with the post office after realizing thats hundreds of checks were never received, then they tell me the check i wrote and send 10 days ago never was received yet. this conversation ended with " we at chrysler financial are going to extend the 30 day deadline for any late charges" well, mighty nice of you since its your screwup, then i was giving anumber to call back on the next business day, after i contacted the bank about the 2 missing checks. the bank then tells me 1 of the checks i wrote clearded 3 days before the call from chrysler.. again on the weekend i get yet another call, yes you guessed it, this guy have no notations on my account that i was one of the affected people, and hen i told him the check they said they never got as indeed received and cleared, of course they have no record of that and advised me to contact the bank again and get a copy of the so called clearded check... oh i will, beleive me.. i now have a major problem that the government used our money to bailout a company that cannot train their own staff on customer service. no wonder they are having problems, i do know that on the next business day besides the bank i am calling the better business bureau...

Hey Balooga - Are you one of the scumbalz that get paid $8/hr or on a commish only basis that work for Chrysler Financial? LMAO! You are a loser! GET A REAL JOB!
I have been dealing with the same Chrysler dealer for the past 25 years. I have 5 daughters who I have either bought or leased Chrysler cars from in addition to my wife and myself. That's approximately 7 cars every 3-5 years. As a matter of fact, my wife and two daughters were in our dealers showroom today looking to buy yet another Chysler. I have always paid them on time all of these years until I was laid off last year. I was a VP of Sales in the Pharma/Medical software industry. So it's not like I was a deadbeat. The very first time I was late after I was laid off, these ###s repo'd my car even though I explained my situation and told them payment was due for them to receive in two days. They repo'd and it took me more than a month for CF to answer my calls to them. I finally got it back after over $1, 00 in fees not including what I owed. Now because of my hardship I have paid every payment ON TIME until last month (1 year later). They called me again, nasty as can be, and demanded payment over the phone (no suprise, considering the uneducated monkey's they hire)! LOL! I responded that I paid on-line and asked if they ever to bother to check their own website. The monkey then got extremely NASTY and said " Oh! I don't know, let me check right now." She did and saw my payment and said "well that's ok but you owe us a $25 late fee." I'm TOTALLY done with C/F & Chrysler. I will pay the late fee but as I said to the monkey "Where is there customer loyalty after 25 yrs of buying so many Chrysler's?" and "How about some loyalty from Chrysler after us TAXPAYERS basically have BAILED OUT CHRYSLER?" She told me that was not them but Chrysler the motor company. OH, C'MON GIVE ME A BREAK! U R C/F but R owned by Chrysler! JEEZ! She also told me that they basically couldn't give a CHIT!
Personally, I don't wish any bad luck on Chrysler employees but I HOPE THE CHRYSLER COMPANY GOES UNDER! I will personally NEVER buy a Chrysler AGAIN! Bring back Lee Ioacoca and maybe.

We have a current account with Chrysler Financial. They double credited an payment today and refused to reverse the charges. We have lost both of our jobs during the last 10 months and we have done the best we can do. We were not even behind one payment and this causes us to be hundreds in the red in our checking account we have had for over 20 years( a good bank!) Chrysler almost repossesed our truck last month and gave us very little time to get current. We went all the way up to (a Supervisor) and each one was worse than the first person. Our date was changed for two days and approved and the other deleted. They called me a liar and we did get a confimation on the correct amount to be taken from our checking. They have now caused us late fees and utlities being cut off. We are over 50 plus living in Calif. no jobs no work. People who call us deadbeats are wrong. People out here are losing their jobs, houses and now cars, (which we do need if we can find a job) I have two claims out and I may have to get an attorney. Can any one help or other people in the same boat. The Ceo needs to be written to as now a payment that did not have to be made (we were working out payment plans. These people need to be kinder to their loyal customers and understsnd that people are suffering. I hope some can help. pattik

i don't work for chrysler financial, and i'll call you all (or most of y0u) deadbeats.

jesus, really? i mean, come on people.

i've had to go behind due to being laid off and i had no problems. they even offered me an extension and i didn't have to ask for it. i even had a job right away so i told them it wasn't needed and i could make up the past due amount in a week.

i have at least 6 friends who have financing with them and also have no problems as well.

im thinking that your time would be better spent looking for work so you can pay your bills (speaking because they will not repo your car until you are 2-3 months late) than complaining on a website. obviously you can afford to pay for internet...

It's very interesting that Balooga used the word "dead beat" since that is exactly the word thast Chrysler Financial used to me on the phone in my last encounter with them. That perrson obviously works for Chrysler Financial. Another woman I talked to told me that I had to make my payments on time or I would not get financaed by them again...I could barely hold my laughter. I told her that she ought ot start looking for a new job, because no one is buying and therfore, no one needs financing. They will get theirs eventually...these harassing practices are on the radar of the Attorney General. I have been asked to send in a copy of any conversations I have with them in the future. Trust me, I will.

All of these negative comments are hilarious!

I can tell just by the way these "stories" are presented that all you people have lousy credit scores and are making up all kinds of excuses.

If you would all just make your payments on time you would not have any of these problems.

I suspect you are all a bunch of dead beats.

It sounds like your lease was past due at the time of the accident. If you are past due three months and total your lease/vehicle - you still owe the past due pymts. Your insurance company and Chrysler will cover all else. They aren't going to pay something that was already supposed to have been paid.

Gap insurance isn't required on a lease. If the vehicle is totaled.. Chrysler takes the insurance payoff and covers the rest.

Oh my goodness! Chrysler Financial is the rudest company I have ever known. They claimed they "lost" an 859 dollar payment, and refused to look for it. Stacy Scott should be fired. She called me names, and repeatedly hung up on me, and then called me back, refused to answer any questions, and refused to look for the check that my bank said they cashed. I asked why we were treated so horrible, and she answered that because we had been late, not months late, but days late 8 different times, that gave them the right to harrass us to make a payment. They call literally every 2 hours, all day, even before our due date. I would go to the ends of the earth and proclaim to everyone how horrible Chrysler Financial is.

Avoid Chrysler financial. I leased a vehicle and aquired gap insurance. A person ran a red light and hit me and Chrysler wrote off my van. As there were no witnesses and the person says it was red it is a 50/50 fault. There was a balance owing was more than the write off and I was assured by my dealership my gap insured the difference. Chrysler financial is no longer owned by Chrysler and I spent weeks phoning an 800 number and getting a call centre in India. They had no clue what gap insurance was?
Finally a Canadian call centre assured me that my gap did cover the difference. They took a very low payout on my vehicle and I questioned this and received a verbal shrug. I said in my last statement to Chrysler Financial that I was surprised that they took so little but obviously that was their business as long as my balance was 0. They credit person mummbled you may have mileage or wear and tear and I laughed and said you wrote off my vehicle how is that possible? I did not receive an answer--another verbal shrug.
I signed off - they were paid out and a month later I received a bill for 2400.00 due the day after receipt of bill. They threatened to put it into collections two weeks later.
My Chrysler dealership says their hands are tied, and they are surprised by this but Chrysler financial is doing the same thing to them and its costing them business.
Avoid at all costs. They are very devious and do not think they are working on your behalf, as they should be.
I will never buy a Chrysler product again even though I love the product. I feel like they hung me out to dry.
I lost all the money I paid towards my vehicle- Chrysler Financial excepted way less the the black book value and are fighting with me to re-coup more money.
If they had fought for more, included my mileage payout - perhaps the vehicle would not have been able to be written off and I think they just wanted the cash. My opinion...but it is the only thing that makes sense.
I always paid on time...my credit is immaculate---I am fighting this.

Well then,

Yes Chyrsler did lease me a vehicle...I have made 3 payments 30 days past due sine March 2003. That is 62 on time, and regretably 3 late.

Once you payment is due, they put you on a dialer system. Your phone will ring from 8:30am until 9:00pm...they will call your work number, they will call your spouses number. Trying to explain your plan for making payments is one of the more frustrating things I have ever done. Today they questioned me about my job, my wifes job...and basically told me they could reposses the car at 1 day past due.

Watch out folks...If they come take your car, regardless...you are liable for the balance, and the difference from what they get at auction.

I will be sending a letter of complaint to the Fed's today...I believe Chrysler is going to step up their repo efforts in an attempt to screw the public. They know their cars aren't worth a dime once turned in after the lease expires.

My personal experience with Chrysler Financial has been an eye opener for me, it has cost me hundreds of dollars in being ripped off, but I am glad because I will never purchase or lease another vehicle or reccommend them to anyone, I have nothing but negative feelings on the subject so I hope they choke on the money I work so hard for, it will save me many thousands in the long run. Thank you you "### buckets" I will look forward to the day you go out of business and anything I can do to facilitate that will make me very happy!
