As with everybody else, I started getting these persistent pop-ups stating that my computer was in danger. My PC just froze and would do nothing except show these pop-ups. They claimed to be Microsoft and were offering this anti-viral program. I fell for it and they charged my Visa card $49.95. But I can't find the program on my computer.
Of course, I can't contact them either, and my card refuses to do anything until I attempt to resolve the dispute with them. It's a scam. Disgusting!

On january 30 i got a message that said it was microsoft windows telling me that my computer was in danger of worms and viruses. CHrpay .com/prna company was going to fix if i downloaded it right away. i tried for 5 or 6 days to get rid of this. they kept bothering the heck out of me. my computer was in trouble! not from viruses or wormsb but fron (CHRPAYCOM/PNRA) they are the problem! i gave them 49.95 from my visa. i can not get ahold of anyone from these scammers to cancel. my new problem is that these scammers have my visa numbers! my visa card people tell me that they have to check with them now. what is next? i hope the law deals with these scammers soon! gts

Not sure what happened... kept getting pop ups saying somone was trying to get my personal information, my norton antivirus had ran out, seems they know when your virus protection runs out. My computor froze up. Tryed restarting my computor a few times and some how they got through. Emailed them with no response. Think its a big scam and they may very well be the ones sending the virus to get your money. Received charge of $94.85 on my visa card statement, will call my credit card company and dispute the charge. John.

I got a simular pop up for system guard 2009 which it made me feel i had to buy it to protect my computer yet in the back of my mind i was thinking if i have a virus why didnt norton pick it up? And today i just noticed that going on line and its saying i have an antivirus 360 unregisted and wants me to register it. So i look for this antivirus 360 on my system dont have it. I no do have a bug and cant do much online i luckly found something on yahoo that helped. I recommend only using software they actually sell in a store.

For the last few days the same popup you are all having happened to my computer. Immediately after purchasing the illegal software I noticed that on the e-mail that was sent I only purchased the license of the software? not the software itself! I called my stepson immediately and he had me order a 15 day free subscription to Norton's internet antivirus 2009 software since I had left my subscription run out and hadn't renewed. I then followed the steps they required to install the free introduction and on the one page they ask you to purchase the software after the 15 days is up. Click "buy later" and continue. Follow everything and then custom scan your computer twice and Norton will remove anything of antivirus2009 on the harddrive. I went to the bank and took everything out of my account except the $49.95 charge as it was still pending. Monday morning at 12:01 A.M. I will call my banks customer service and if the pending is off and the amount has not been removed from the account I will then close the account and transfer the $49.95 into another account I have. This antivirus is a worm and a virus! It attaches to mostly pictures sent and can skip over people who have Norton Inernet antivirus protection but keep going on something you send to someone and so on. Stupid me thought this was microsoft or a windows update or warning. computers have crashed because of theis! gGood luck to all. From Dave

SAME HAPPENED TO ME, THIS POP UP KEPT APPEARING ON MY SCREEN AND COULD NOT DELETE IT OR ANYTHING AND NOT ABLE TO USE MY COMPUTER. IT WAS SO PERSISTANT OF COURSE THOUGHT THIS WAS SOMETHING I HAD TO DO AND WAS AFFILIATED WITH MICROSOFT. PAID FOR IT BY VISA CARD AND WAS ON MY COMPUTER FOR ONE DAY ONLY AND THEN LOOKED AND LOOKED AND THEN IT DISAPPEARED TOTALLY. THIS IS OUTRIGHT FRAUD AND TO ME THIS SHOULD BE A CLASS ACTION SUIT AND DEFINITELY TRACED TO WHOMEVER DID THIS AS THEY HAVE ALL OUR MONEY. I WILL CALL MY CREDIT CARD TO TELL THEM THIS WAS A FRAUD AND ALSO REPORT TO STATE OF FL AND TO MICROSOFT AND STATE ATTY'S OFFICE THIS WEEK. I WOULD ASK ALL OTHERS TO DO THE SAME. I HAVE A FRAUD ALERT WITH MY CREDIT SO I KNOW I CAN GET MY MONEY BACK AND THEY WILL DO THE INVESTIGATION OF THIS.

Same thing happened to me. Pop-up would not go away until I purchased the protection $50.35. Looked at my bank statement and charges are on there but no program ever downloaded. Not what are My options?

I was using my computer when I received a pop up saying that it detected spyware. The programme Antivirus 2008 kept popping up until I decided to purchase it to alleviate the problem. The programme did not download and I was charged 64.33. I e-mailed them for support but received no reply. What can I do about this?
