STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS!

I put in a claim on Friday because my furnace stop working and the smell of gas. I called Washington gas and they red tagged it and shut it off. Contacted choice and they only could arrive on MONDAY...They sent a contractor out in a Volkswagen Jetta to service me. Naturally he just looked at it and said there were 3 parts that needed to be replaced..Still stuck in the cold (25 degrees outside) I later got a call and was told a different Technician will be out on Wednesday because the first one refused to do the work WTF! today is Tuesday and I'm in the cold waiting for a second Tech to come out on Wednesday only to probably do the same thing...Diagnose the problem and come back to fix later...I called and spoke with a SUPERVISOR "ASHLEY" and complained and she responded "We are not into the emergency response business" WTF! These guys have been shady since day on of dealing with them. I tried to give them a chance.. Also I had filed a claim for my overhead microwave last year. They deemed it unfix-able and offered me a low end version of what I had and left the installation up to me to pay for by a company of my choice...WTF! Bottom line STAY AWAY FORM THESE SHADY GUYS PLEASE! My actual rating is a NEGATIVE 10!

Choice Home Warranty im attempting to file a claim for my washer,

I called on today 1/23/19 to file claim for service to my washer. Received call back from a vendor (ars) that they will be here on 1/28/19. I called back and spoke to belinda about the extended wait time. After speaking with belinda and asking her to call their vendor back she advised that was the earliest they have. Belinda advised that someone will call me back. After awaiting about an hour and 1/2 no one called me back. I called again and spoke to allison and she had all the details that it was the vendors fault. I asked allison to speak with a supervisor and then she needed to know the issue to forward to the supervisor. After sitting on the phone for 9 minutes and 30 seconds, sal comes on the line and then admits he is not a supervisor ; he is a case manager and that is the highest that I can speak to about my lack of customer service. Sal advised that someone will give me a call back — again to no avail. I advised sal that my monthly charge is always on time and i'm not asking for an additional 6 days to pay for my service. Sal made mention that all their vendors was extremely busy. I have not had a call back and it is now 7:30pm.
I've looked at all the reviews for choice home warranty stating the prompt, quick service. Where is that found? I also seen where the customer service is great. Where is that found?

Choice Home Warranty no heat-no help

Jan 20, 2019 the coldest day of the year we had no heat. Choice told us it was not considered an emergency since they were a maintenance company .After nine hours they advised us they could not find someone to service us and we could have someone repair it but they had to call them to get approval. Company we found would not call the Choice since they said they don't work with any other company. We were without heat 24 hours Why take on a client if they have no one to service them. I believe they should reimburse us for what we paid out of pocket. $397.00

Very disappointing experience with Choice! They approved our claim, I have an email document authorizing and approving the repair for furnace repair but 5 days later, no repair! 6 days in they sent another technition and 5 minutes later they denied the repair. No repair, no heat, no service for the money we paid. Terrible business practice! Are there any class action law suits pending? What they say they provide isn't what they deliver.

Choice Home Warranty terrible service

I've been waiting over two weeks for them to respond to an electrical problem. Someone needs to light a fire under their rear ends.

I talked with the electrical contractor who is scheduled to come out. First, he said he was available on a Wednesday. Choice Home Warranty said he would come on a Monday. He also said he stopped working with them in the past because they were slow to pay.

I've had a different problem in the past. We had an emergency plumbing issue. I was only reimbursed about 10% of my out of pocket expenses. Rip off!

I'll never do business with them again.

I've talked with them on the phone and emailed them trying to get a resolution. Nothing changes.

Choice Home Warranty a.c. problem

When we talked to the choice rep on the phone they told us...if it breaks or goes bad...we replace it...well...our HEAT doesnt work...so we call...viola...EVERYTHING CHANGES...now we're told that theyll have a guy come look at it...to the tune of $65(not mentioned in the sales pitch)...and had to go with their guy(air zone)...well IMMEDIATELY...he says theres bad news and more bad news...ddnt think there could be bad news...if its broke...they replace it...sounds pretty simple...not so...the guy says we're almost out of coolant...in order to charge it they have to test for a leak...heres the punch line...CHOICE DOESNT COVER THE LEAK TEST!...but its ONLY $225!...well...another surprise that wasnt mentioned...yay...so we ask...what happens after u run the test...wait for it...they submit the results to CHOICE and they decide if theyre gonna cover it or not...setting up ANOTHER SURPRISE...U KNOW...A WAIT AND SEE MOMENT...well...pretty sure the answer would be no...they dont cover it...because NO INSURANCE WANTS TO COVER ANYTHING IF GIVIN A "CHOICE"...and everything that has transpired is all about giving THEM the "CHOICE"...This company is crooked and WILL screw u over!

BOY OH BOY, JUST READ THESE REVIEWS. LAWSUITS AGAIN PEOPLE CLAIMING OF HOW THEY WERE WORKED OVER BY THIS COMPANY. If I stopped there that would be good enough for anyone to know NOT TO have anything to do with this warranty company.
Do you think that these people just make up these stories? Sounds like the government doesn't it? SCAM ARTISTS NOT GIVING INSURED MONEY PAYING INDIVIDUALS WHAT THEY SAID THEY WOULD DO! Their line is WILL REPAIR OR REPLACE, not give you a consolation cash offer of what they say but repair or replace it. NEVER, NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THESE SHYSTERS. Just read these reviews, something wrong for sure with ALL THESE people complaining wouldn't you think?
This company loss a lawsuit a few years back HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS
PAID FOR THERE DISHONESTY ACTS OF BUSINESS. CHW YOU NEED TORE UP FOR YOUR LOW LIFE ACTS! I WANT THE REST OF MY WALL OVEN MONEY. CHW gave me $ 500.00 for me it wailer in for my $1800.00 wall oven. And then told me, Well think about it...you at least got your initial warranty money back. WHAT A BUNCH OF PIG ROLLERS! Don't do it!

Choice Home Warranty contractor

Nonpayment from choice home warranty for all the jobs we contracted with them and completed when they said 30 days payment from their office.

Those 30 days turned into 45 days - still no payment.

We are now in 60 days - no payment.

Could I please have the corporate telephone number for chw or a contact to receive payment before getting a lawyer.

I already reported this to vendor relations, customer relations, and authorization department.

I am very upset with CHW because they find various reasons to never pay for appliance repair or replacement as stated they will in the contract. This is FALSE ADVERTISING and a SCAM. I am quite sorry that I have paid out so much money for this fake warranty and depended on it to help out when appliances needed repair or replacement. I have made two claims that have been denied. The first was a hot water heater that leaked all over. I was told it wasn't covered because I didn't call them first before replacing it. Really? My basement was flooded from it and we needed hot water within a couple days. The second was my furnace which has a cracked heat exchanger. They refused to pay because it had, "a corrosive build up on the outer shell and rust which creates premature cracking." Really? Wow! Now I am without heat and it is 32 degrees outside. I"m so glad I wasted so much money on this FAKE WARRANTY COMPANY.

Choice Home Warranty holding money

We contracted with Choice Home Warranty to perform plumbing repairs for their insured customers then they shut down our account and said they would hold our funds for 365 days, they also stated we would receive payment net 30 days which they did not do they are very nast people who are condescending to our company and they act like there's nothing anyone can do about it they think they are above the law. They should be made to pay what they owe people what they are doing is theft. Martha Williams

Choice Home Warranty home warranty

On 11 Dec 2018, I filed a Better Business Bureau (BBB) complaint against Choice Home Warranty for failure to properly service my A/C system. The technician they sent was incompetent and failed to properly diagnose the problem. Choice, as a result of that technician's analysis, denied the claim and I had to hire another contractor to repair the system. Turns out the problem was only a 24 volt switch not a reversing value has the previous technician had diagnosed. The Choice technician had torn down my condensing unit and allowed all the Freon to leak out and Choice refused to compensate me for the cost of replacing the Freon. Choice did provide $200 after they originally denied the claim to quote "help cover the repair cost." Unfortunately the cost to fully restore the system was $763 far more than the $45 service fee Choice advertises. I filed a BBB to try to get them to comply with their contract but that was a futile effort. However within the Choice response to the BBB on Dec 12 2018 to the BBB complain was a phone number 1-800-816-2534 for Choice Home Warranty's "Retention Department" who I could supposedly call to terminate my contract, which has another 2 1/2 years to go. That number is bogus and switches from a survey for medical devices to "you have dialed a number that is not available in your area. The resolution I want for this complaint is termination of my contract and return of my prorated fee! I paid $1750 for a five year the contract leaving $875 remaining on the contract that should be reimbursed

Choice Home Warranty repair a heating problem

on 12/30/18 I called Choice home warranty in regards to my heat not working. They sent a plumber out to look at it and it was diagnosed as needing a new motor. They submitted it to CHW and they were to order a new motor for me. I have called at least 7 times now and it is now a week later and I am still without heat in my home. The motor still has not been ordered. It's my 1st claim and I'm ready to cancel already. It is the middle of Winter it is 19゚ out and I'm sitting here with no heat.

Choice Home Warranty failure to pay contractors as agreed and withholding what they owe

We have found a great attorney in Jersey. They have went over the contract and Choice is indeed in violation. The contract states net 30 on payment which is 30 calendar days not 30 business days which means due tho their violation they can not enforce any portion. Choice Home Warranty warranty coverage for an electric range

First the good points….. Choice Home Warranty responds very well and promptly to service calls. Additionally, . The service technicians are prompt, courteous and have the technical expertise needed to fairly assess the situation. They also promptly report the results to CHW and CHW responds rapidly, usually within 24 working hours.
Now for the disappointments…. This service call resulted in CHW determining a replacement of my electric range was less expensive than the repair. Initially I received an email offer for a $349 cash settlement that was less than half of what a equivalent replacement item would cost. I declined the cash settlement then the real frustration started. I soon received a call from the CHW representative assigned to this claim and she immediately said that all that they can offer only offer the initial low settlement which I previously refused and pushed me to settle for that using claims and quoting the contract and also stating that CHW does not actually arrange to replace the item and that the offered amount was what CHW would pay for the like replacement because CHW does not buy retail as I would have to. She also said that the unit was 20 years old (it was actually about 15 years old) and was insinuating that the replacement should be pegged to the value of the item back over 15 years ago. So, I said that, if HCW can do better on the price for an equivalent replacement please do so and arrange for delivery and installation. She refused to do this again stating CHW doesn't actually replace the item, that the consumer has to do so.
Thus, I pressed for a better settlement telling her that, if it was required that I replace the item, I would have to buy retail and CHW policy provides for an equivalent replacement and it costs double the offered cash. She kept going over the same comments refusing to address the actual replacement of the item and its actual replacement costs. She frustrated me greatly and I was becoming angry…I told her so and asked to speak to her supervisor. She said there were no supervisors. I asked to speak the Vice President in charge of her section and she seemed to ignore this request. She then cut me off and said that she could only go up to $589. I thought it over and given the frustrating 15 minutes with her I accepted. She placed me on hold for about 5 minutes and came back telling me the money would be sent in about 30 days. I asked for this in writing and she refused say the conversation was recorded. I tried to insist having this $589 settlement in writing and this was entirely to no avail and I thanked her and hung up. Even with this offer I will be out of pocket around $200. What kind of games is CHW playing and what kind of replacement coverage is this and why such poor customer service?

Choice Home Warranty sump pump

I am still awaiting on my refund for repairs that you initially denied. This company is not very reputable at all. The incident occurred in late October 2018. My sump pump was not functionally, they sent an incompetent tech who did a poor job. Within a few weeks the system stopped working again. This time, however, part of my basement was flooding which resulted in mold formation.

CHOICE HOME WARRANTY INTERPRETS VENDOR REPAIRS TO SUIT THIER POLICY EXCEPTIONS TO AVOID PAYING FOR AGED APPLIANCES, HVAC AND ELECTRICAL ITEMS. SHORTLY PUT, THEY DENY PAYMENT ON REPAIR ISSUES that come with usual wear and tear. THEY ALSO send out unqualified and unreliable service providers
Claim Determination #[protected]
CHW use service provider photos and interprets the service provider's assessment of the damage to exclude payments under the policy exceptions. Mainly, on home repairs with appliances or HVAC, or electrical items 10years aged. Most important when you get a policy you are not advised to review the policy exceptions which is critical nor or you given an option for service level coverage. Plainly put, they DENY payment on damage due to normal wear and tear, the inevitable. THIS CLAIM EXAMPLE, a recent microwave claim. The service provider stated the microwave was not heating because the metal was burned causing the megaton or mag to not heat and not reparable. The insurance determined that interior lining is damaged causing the microwave to arc. There is nothing in in writing about arc. The service provider told me it is not THE ARC, but subject to the policy interpretation which is “excluded” under section D number 9 terms and conditions. This happened on a previous claim May 2018 for the air conditioning where they denied claim payment due to rust. The service provider for the microwave also told me this type of damage happens to every other microwave which means they are not paying payable or claims or just not paying my claim. I NEVER RECEIVED AN INVOICE FROM THE SERVICE PROVIDER.

Same thing happed with my Air Conditioner which they called a furnace. Technician they sent out was incompetent and misdiagnosed the problem. Result they denied claim. I hired another contractor who fixed the problem, a 24 volt switch, but noticed the system was without Freon. Since they had serviced the system in June and it was still secured when they fixed the switch, the only reason there was no Freon was because the Choice Technician allowed it to leak out. Cost me $763 to have the system repaired for a repair that should have cost me a $45 service charge. I have fought with Choice for 2 month trying to get reimbursed but to no avail. Do not every hire this company!

Choice Home Warranty dishwasher part

I have been waiting for over a month for a part to come in for my dish washer, and each time I contact your customer services department, no one can tell me anything as to when the part is coming in. I was told one time that the part was order, and the next time it is back order, but you do not know when it is coming in. I need to know exactly when the part is coming, I do not even get a call from customer services letting know that you'll still waiting on the part. Today I call December 26th, and I disconnected, I call back the representative could not tell me anything, so I need to know when this part is coming in or can you order from another vendor.

This Company Choice has the greatest system to rip contractors off and denial any claim they want the have ever cluse and rubbish to hustle there customers and the contractors and by millions of dollars. If anyone ever does a class action lawsuit against them please include me in. The have got me for way iver $5000 and I can't stand there lies and hanging up on you after you spend valuable time to get ahold of them they just hang up. The Rudest corporate people ever... Choice Home Warranty washer/dryer

On 12/2/2018 I called in a claim for my washer/dryer combo that had stopped working. a tech arrived and assessed the problem, and he told me that I would hear from Choice rep . A few days later, Choice sent me message online that they were reaching out to vendors. After days went by, I called Choice and was told that my claim would be submitted to a manager, and the manager would call me within 4 hours. I checked online to discover that my claim had been closed. I called again, and was told that my claim had been denied due to misuse/abuse, I bought the washer/dryer in 2000, so I don't see how that is the issue. The manager called, and told me that I could call another company to get a second opinion, and have that company notify them with their findings. Today is 12/12/2018 and I still don't have a washer/dryer to use. I want Choice to reconsider and fix/replace my washer/dryer combo. #[protected]

Choice Home Warranty coverage

A/C quit working 9/18. Contact Choice and they sent out rep who stated unit unfixable. (claim #[protected]) Est cost of replacement around 8 to 9000. dollars. Choice refused to approve and would only pay $700. which was sent.

I called the A/C people at Home Depot who replace unit at a cost of $9200. with a pending $800. rebate from Home Depot.

My contract read that Choice would repair or REPLACE a/c unit which they have refused to pay other than the $700.

If I don't get repaid for this A/C unit as contract calls for, I will lodge complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the Texas State department of consumer fraud.

My attorney suggested this one last request from us before other more aggressive actions be taken.

Yes, this company is really dishonest. They refused to replace my sump pump without giving me a satisfactory reason. So yes, please include me in any class action law suit as well. I will be taking some legal action at this time.

Choice Home Warranty heating/furnace

Sunday December 2, 8:35am. Filed claim. This has been assigned 3 times. Each time I called the company that was assigned and they declined the order. All 3 have had too many problems with non payment, under payment and just plain poor communication. It is now Sunday December 9, 8:35pm and I still have no heat. Claim # [protected]. I had a claim filed November 6 for the same problem but waited 5 days and when they didn't find someone to come out, I got pissed off enough to bang on a few things and get it working myself. All I get is excuses. Calling every day. Supervisor graciously offered to wave the $60 call fee. So generous.
I've gone more than a week now with no heat, in Wisconsin, in the winter, and all I get are excuses. Everyone this company tries to get refuses to work with them because they've been screwed on getting paid. This is the worst warranty company I've ever seen. They have their hands out to take your money but you're treated very poorly when it comes to using the warranty. PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS SERVICE! RUN! I SAY RUN AS FAST FROM THESE PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE!

on November 30th my heater stops heating I call and make a claim, they sent someone to check it out and the guy left by saying they will call back.
I received an email from Choice home warranty telling me that the unit was not well maintained therefore they will not cover it in fact I do have an invoice from an specialist that cleaned out the system on October 15th 2018 .
There was no way I could submit the document to show them that they are wrong, they took my apeal but never got back to me in the time frame they said they would.
My 85 years old handicap dad is sitting in the cold for several days now because Choice home warranty is not honoring their part of the contract.
