I had similar bad experiences with Chinavasion. Product was dead on arrival and looked like it was secnond hand anyway. It was a solar laptop charger. Their email replies were slow and ignored my issues. The telephone support number in china came up 'number does not exist' in both chinese and english. Now they want me to send it back at my expense, but I don't want to lose ore money as some other people seem to have done.

This is my worst experience yet with online trading.

Be careful with Chinavasion!

Ordered a Lenovo wireless mouse. Vendor sent it with “signature required” and I was never home to sign for it. I have no car to go to the post office so I’m assuming it’s on its way back to China. AND they charged me for it. I want my money back from the Vendor.

yes they arent big on refunding.
That is probably my number one complaint with the company.
In saying that im a chinavasion fan however.
Yes ive had a few issues with faulty items but i've had many more good purchases.
If i was you i'd keep trying to argue the point with them for a refund and if they still wont play in the end, take the credit.
Surely a credit is better than keeping a faulty item.
Just wait until you see something you can use that wont be as prone to issues.

Chinavasion refused to repair a faulty smart watch still under warranty for free. They broke their promise. Do not trust their warranty cover.

lol, after 7 months you expect a company in china to give a full refund for a shoddy camera on a phone?
Bahaahaa
Oh they only offered 30 euros of a 60 euros purchase, after you'd caned it for 7 months.
As if you wouldnt have accepted that tightarse?
I really dont understand why you people would bother buying from an online electrical retailer/dropshipper such as chinavasion?
You give me the poops.
You expect big brand name quality, with all the service and rights afforded to you by local bricks and mortar stores, but you want to pay discount bargain basement prices.
Same with many ebay buyers these days.
They want all the perks and retail rights (try buys and similar), the best quality but want to pay nothing for it.
So red hot you could light a smoke off them

Beware of bait & switch...

I tried to purchase 10 phones from this company. my card was charged and I thought all was well. then I receive an email stating the phones were not available they only had 4 of the 10 I ordered. they never offered a refund for the purchase, they offered me a 4.5"in place for the 5.5" I ordered then offered me a 5"instead of 10, they offered 12.

4 of the 5.5" and 8 of the 5"they forced on me to take was no name.

They told me if I didn't accept the offer, my money would just be placed on my account on hold for my next purchase? so I took the offer, because I was in a tight spot.

I received the order and the 5.5" phones were not as I ordered either, they were wrong! and the 5" phones were not as good as the phones I initially ordered in regards to brand, size & quality.. the all arrived dead, not working & some were used and damaged... I was very much disappointed in the process. customer service was responsive, but obviously they wasn't going to lose in any way to make this right. they offered to take a return if I paid for the shipping and a restocking fee. wow! really?

then I offered to please purchase more so I could keep a steady flow of business and keep a reputation of good product... I felt a discount would be right in regards to make up for this... I made several offers to make this right, they denied every offer... the best they said they could do was make me a gold member for two purchases? but that wasn't fair at all... considering the way it was handled, what have lost... the time and money that was lost on my end it was really bad. as well as their prices are a lot higher than competitors, considering the charge for shipping anyway, but the shipping is fast... I have shopped with them three times. the 10/12 phone purchase was my largest purchase because I was testing the waters with them on a mission to work with them longterm. I was really hurt behind this. for the amount of the purchase, it is sad the wanted to lose more losing me as a long term client. it would cost a lot less for them to just fix this. this was awful dealings, bait & switch.. wow... hard to trust a company that realizes they are wrong and admits it, but isn't willing to make it right to benefit the customer, it was all about them! I told them just imagine if I was spending $10k with them... my order wasn't that expensive, but if they're that petty over a small order, I cannot imagine how it would be on a larger level... yikes... I was disappointed but moving on in a different direction...

ummm, so a company sent you 10 or 12 dead phones, none worked you stated.
Yet you were prepared to do more business?
Your either a liar or just not very bright.
I suspect liar.
So HURT werent you? but you offered to please purchase more?
You wanted a steady flow of these dead phones hey?
bahaaha, what a load of nonsense.
Do you have a similar business as chinavasion? lol
Bait and switch?
Puh=lease!

I use this company all the time with no problems. The only thing is Christmas delivery can be very slow----I suggest you have it shipped via DHL, if you want your purchase in time for Christmas.

It seems as though most of the complainants are from a foreign place as well, based on the grammar. Aside from that, as much as I hate to pass on the seemingly good phone deals, i will. Other people have advised against ordering from them so i guess ill be a believer and shop elsewhere.

keep these complaints in context.
Chinavasion are a massive company that sells hundreds of thousands of items worldwide.
A few forum pages or so of complaints over a 7 year period isnt really that bad.
I also note it is now 2017 and chinavasion and electronics in general have advanced a bit since 2014
I read these complaints and i think many are not justified.
Im not saying chinavasion are perfect.
I've bought hundreds of items over the years and dropshipped chinavasion items on my ebay store.
I reckon i had a fault rate of 2 to 3 in 20 items.
The return process is lengthy but it does eventually happen.
So all in all i think they arent a bad company at all for what they sell.
Be smart with what you buy and what your expectations are and its a great site.

I bought a phone from Chinavasion. One month after it arrived the screen is broken; not physically, but inside. The image is all white. It doesn't display anything, just white light. I've contacted them and all they can say is that it is all my fault, a bad use of the product. They insist I might have put pressure on the phone to break the led inside. I haven't mistreated my phone at all. All they needed to tell me it was my fault were a couple of photos in which one can see the phone is intact. Now I want to make a claim; I have asked them to tell me how but they just don't reply. Please, do not buy anything from them. I do not find them trustworthy at all.

I purchased many things from chinavasion, I purchased a camcorder from them and the battery was defective and they would not help me get a replacement and egnored my emails. I then purchased a set of walkie talkies, same issue, they worked for a week or two then they would not charge, contacted chinavasion for help and they acted like I never existed. they are terrible to deal with and I recommend you dont buy their junk because thats what it is and they dont stand behing their product which is sad to the customers. dont buy from them!

Thanks so much for the information everyone. I was about to order something, but for some reason, I thought I'd just do a search for complaints. WOW . . they are everywhere. I have bought many things from another Chinese company, Deal Extreme and have had all good luck with every purchase with them, so I have become too trusting. Deal Extreme even have free delivery on everything but delivery time is a few weeks so you need to be patient. And Deal Extreme DOES post negative comments, so it makes it easy to avoid products with problems. You have saved me a lot of grief. So all of you, please feel that some good has come from your personal misfortune. You have stopped them from getting my business and probably countless others that do not leave a comment of thanks. Thanks again very much for your feedback.

lol, that deal extreme is a dodgy company compared to chinavasion.
I've used both and deal extreme were hopeless.
They lie and tell you anything in emails, the shipping times are horrendous and the items look like seconds much of the time.
Na, sorry but i'd back chinavasion anyday before that and other mobs.

I too ordered a android 2.2 tablet phone from chinavision. the product id cvak-pc15. it costed me $149 & the order # is 1324300. I received the product in defective condition. only colorful lines are displayed on screen. as soon as I received I contacted their support. they raised a ticket & the # is dbi-602638. whenever I contact them, they say that I will receive a reply in 2 days. even after following up for several days, I did not get any response. I appeal to all, not to buy from this site. this site is fraud and ship only rejected stuff.

seriously buddy, that is rubbish.
I have purchased / dropshipped hundreds of items from chinavasion.
They are not a fraud.
Stop spitting the dummy and have some patience.
Email again and wait for a reply.
I had a fault rate of around one to two items in twenty (maybe three at most).
Remember you are buying budget priced, mass produced electricals. Many of which are relatively new technology with micro processors and components that require firmware.
It takes time to tweak the glitches in new products.
On the few occasions i had to organize a return it went fine.
Yes there can be a considerable turnaround time with correspondence, then shipping items back and waiting for a repaired/replaced item but it always arrives.
Stop being a scrooge and pay for the higher quality you insist on.
Or accept that cheap electricals can occasionally have issues and you might need to return it to be repaired/replaced.

chinavasion are great as far as my experiences are concerned.
I dropship their products on ebay and have hundreds of excellent results.
Whenever theres been a problem or faulty item they have always refunded or replaced the item.
As far as chinese ecommerce sites go, chinavasion is one of the better sires around.

i ordered an eclipse android phone from them. I got the package after 5 days not bad. After opening it up I found out that inside the box was only the batteries and accessories but no phone. The actual phone was missing. I contacted chinavasion, they said they will check it up after a series of questions, this is not my first buy, usually products are decent, so I am waiting to see what will happen... if nothing happens I try to open a dispute with paypal

chinavasion sucks. I gave them 2nd chance but they suck even more of my money. If can, don't even visit their website. You have been warned...

My story:
1) Purchased a touch screen phone from them, after a year it gave multiple problems. Try to search the same phone in their website, they have stopped selling the phone. Obviously it shows that it is a bad phone they are selling so they stopped selling it.

2) I gave them 2nd chance, by purchasing a new phone and some other devices. The shipping cost is $23. The item stopped by my country custom. Before I bought from them they said no problem sending the phone to my country, but once stuck (problem), they said I have to pay the return shipping fees too which is $40. Without getting or seeing the products I bought I had lost $63+ . The return fees is DOUBLE. I believe the sucks some $$ from the shipping fees.

3) Their support is very bad too. Usually don't answer your questions. After a few emails only you got 80% of the answer. Before buying already wasted $$ on the time...

For those yet to buy from them, please think twice. I have learned with the tuition fess of $100+ free for them.

I bought several items from Chinavasion to determine if it was going to be worth doing business with them. I tested all aspects from my customers' points of view.(Repeat sales are everything) I found that I could not stand behind Chinavasion, nor would I treat my customers to such abuse. I found that Chinavasion is only concerened with the point of sale and having a nice website. Anything past that and you can forget it. It doesn't matter if you drop ship one or a thousand units your customers will all suffer. Attached is some of the tests and results for Chinavasion products. If you choose to do business with Chinavasion you deserve what they will do to you and your customer base.

how come people like to order phone in china? China is famous of making fake phones. they make your phone in a remote country side in china with no quality control, so usually, keys might not seem broken at first, and it won't last, u might find it completely useless just after few days.

people in hong kong won't buy phones or batteries from china, coz there are incidents about fake batteries made from china exploded right next to the somone face or inside their pockets. it's all over the news. they also sell fake phones, like sonyericsson with the same app or interface, or even the same style, but u'll soon find out it's not real phones and it breaks very easily and amazingly fast.

we have a saying in hong kong about China. Everything is possible in China.. in a bad way. new creative scammers everyday, heartless, cold blooded business practice just to earn few more dollars in China.

i m sorry for people who have trouble with companies in China, but if u r dealing with products from China, I would suggest u only buy cheap stuffs, or inspect the product b4 paying the cash. consider made in china stuff really easy to break!

go to taobao and find reputated sellers, taobao has tons of sellers who have good reputation and won't screw u over or give u bad customer service. it's a site that just like ebay.

if you want to find out about up to date scam or unimagineable things happen in china. i have a blog bragcorner.blogspot.com. i will update it occasionally with some recent scams in China or other countries. some of them i find it amusing too.

En, maybe the products made in China is not bad as you talk.At present thousands of products are made in China because of the low labor force. And the products made in China whose quality are getting better and the price is suitable. So in China more and more companies wholesale their products all the world.

As to me, a few days ago I ordered one mp4 player from http://electronicb2c.com whose quality is nice. And my son loved it very much...

Good luck...

After my complaint posted four days ago (Augustinni ) I have at last had a result from Chinavasion. Following my email to Ms Rose Li, I have received a refund through my Paypal account for the total amount. It took them long enough to sort out the problem.

Be very cautious of Chinavasion. I would recommend anyone that even thinks about establishing a business relationship with Chinavasion to stay away from them. I started purchasing from them 3 weeks ago. Bought over 20 items so far and was thinking about purchasing until about 1 1/2 week ago. Their tiering system is complete ###! I've spend over $1, 000 already over 10 days ago to reach their level 1 tiering. And for 10 days they did not upgrade my tier level, the reason provided was they need to "wait until the system updates. The way they describe is their system automatically updates the tier once the product is shipped out with a tracking number." Well it takes them 10 days in order to package the product and ship out the item and get the tracking number. I told them I have clients waiting so I need to purchase so I asked to to upgrade me. Always receive the answer that they can not do it manually and have to wait for the sytem to do that. I was a little concern because does not make sence because if their tiering is base on how much you purchase, then the system should update your discount to tier 1 pricing at the time the product is purchased not at the time the product is packed and shipped with a tracking number. Finally today I found out that the system updated, but low and behold something else comes up. Yes, they've updated the system and show me as at their tier 1 discount...the funny thing is the price for products shows the "exact" same cost for regular pricing as for the tier 1 pricing. So these guys are a bunch of unprofessional thieves. Customer and management alike are very unprofessional and does not understand how business is done. Also this is just a big scam, I should have taken my business elsewhere but because I've reached tier 1 and some of the products I was not able to source elsewhere I kind of have to purchase it from them. Also another thing is 1/2 of the items they show on their product list, they do not have. So you will have people buying when you go to purchase from them you will find out that they have discontinued them. Overall my recommendation is to stay away from these guys. They are a bunch of crooks. I have many friends in this business and one thing for sure they rep is down the drain now. There are much better and much professional china wholesaler/drop shipper to do business with than China Vasion.

i know these are old posts but i cant read these complaints and not reply.
Seriously, some of the criticisms here is just whinging.
Did you bother logging in once your tier was upgraded?
Otherwise the regular pricing remains on screen.
To say they are scamming you is ridiculous.
This is a massive company, its not some shady little outfit with 2 blokes in an office and a phone.
And to be fair to a company this size, of the hundreds and thousands of sales you find a handful of buyers on sites such as this that had a bad experience.
I have been using chinavasion for years and had no problems whatsoever being upgraded through each tier.
I'm at platinum and enjoy decent discounts.
Thats not to say i havent had the occasional issue with faulty items.
You are buying discounted generic electronics.
Together with a selling platform like ebay that gives fussy and unscrupulous buyers all the power, it can be problematic if you are dropshipping from companies like chinavasion.
Some people just expect big name brand quality with all the service and rights of a bricks and mortar store but dont want to pay for it.
Many ebay buyers expect to do try buys.
I sold chinavasion items on my ebay store for a while and didnt have to many problems.
However, because of contributing factors like ebays policy of finding in the buyers favor on almost all occasions, together with a time consuming returns process and slow shipping times etc, even a couple of disputes can be a real pain in the bum.
I recommend you use chinavasion for your own occasional personal purchases.
I'm prepared to spend $150 to $200 on a smartphone with the specs of a $800 phone.
I dont expect the same cutting edge components or build quality as apple or samsung.
Use your common sense, if its sounds to good to be true and is ridiculously cheap, its probably not going to be brand name quality hey?
If you are determined to dropship, make sure you choose items that arent to technical and prone to issues.
For example i would steer clear of selling items like 2 Din car stereo systems. Way to many things can go wrong with items like this, especially with people self installing.

My first encounter with Chinavasion was the purchase of a PDA Touchscreen business phone in November 2009. It arrived with my customer within 7 days of ordering it.
Great service I thought but then the nightmare started. My customer emailed me to say the phone was not working and would be sending it back for a refund plus the cost of return postage plus the tax incurred (total of £129.40). I contacted Chinavasion who instructed me to return the goods for inspection which I did at a further cost of £15.26.
The cost to date, purchase of item from Chinavasion + carraige £78.76 + £129.40 +15.26 =£223.42 .

The returned item was sent by Royal Mail with a tracking number so I knew when it had arrived. It took Chinavasion two weeks to confirm its arrival and the item was faulty and they would issue a credit note. Six emails later, each one stating I did not want a CREDIT but a REFUND I am still waiting. I have not had the courtesy of one reply. I emailed Ms Rose Li in a last resort to solve my problem but alas I am still waiting a reply to that email. SURPRISE, SURPRISE.

Between the time of my first order and delivery of same, I ordered a Spy Pen. Guess what? That was faulty also . Two items purchased, two items faulty, even I can work out that percentage. Follow the words of Gordon Brown, "Take a long hard look" . Dont be caught out.

DO NOT ORDER FROM CHINAVASION! They are the worst when it comes to customer service. I ordered some Christmas gifts (2 items) in early December because on their website it states: "Goods are sent out from our warehouse stock typically within 1 day of your order payment", this is a HUGE fallacy! 5 days went by and I had to send them a support ticket inquiring as to why my order wasn't shipped yet! Within 24 hours of submitting my ticket my order was finally shipped...TO THE WRONG ADDRESS! They sent my order to a completely different state! Needless to say, I did not receive my order until AFTER Christmas. They were negligent in the handling of my order because we had an agreement that my order would be in my hands within 4 to 8 days of them receiving my payment (including expedited shipping fees) and they did not honor that agreement. I sent customer support tickets about 10 times asking them to refund my shipping fees and all I get are "Our apologies, we promise to be more careful in the future" responses. I tried to speak to management about three times on their "live" chat and all I get are generic answers like "we will email you a response on your refund request" and "management offices are closed now so there are no managers for you to speak with". I requested for a manager to contact me when they were in and all I got was a response saying "I will try but I can't 100% commit to that", which basically means NO! I am completely frustrated with them and I feel like I am going in complete circles. I don't think Chinavasion fully comprehends what customer service is intended for. I feel like if they want to do business in the US then they should adopt US standards of Customer Service in which we are accustomed to. In the US, if a shipment was misdirected due to the error of the company, you would easily get your shipping fees refunded. Not so with Chinavasion. I can unequivocally say that I will never again do business with them and I urge you to do the same to avoid the stress and headaches that you will receive from their customer service department should your order go awry like mine did. BEWARE! You have been warned.
