Chico's Retail Services Cancellation of mail delivery of item ordered in store

On August 30, 2023 an order was placed at the Chico's store in Stuart, FL for mail delivery of Alabaster Neema Eyelet Crop pants, Style #[protected], SKU: [protected], Order Number: L000300830230010016600100.

Email received on September 2 confirming the order had been processed. Upon later checking on line, the order did not appear.

Contacted online Chat and was informed delivery would be up to 14 days from date of order.

On September 7th the order was arbitrarily cancelled and a refund put in place.

Why was order cancelled when it had been processed 5 days earlier, and confirmed by Chat on line?

I have been a Chico's client for 30 years, and am very disappointed by this cavalier treatment.

Chico's Retail Services Faulty material

Over the past several months I purchased several tee-shirt type tops. Almost every one developed holes n the Same spot on the front after the 1st or 2nd wash. It is not the washing machine as other people I know are having the same problem.

Several people told me they have had the same experience. I also spoke with 3 diffevent managers at the stores who know of the problem.

I just took out a load of clothes and there are holes in a Chicos shirt I wore twice.

I am 4’ 10” tall with a short trunk. Chicos has been my main store for years. The quality has dropped severely. Chicos is one of two stores I am able to buy clothes that fit. I have spent several hundred dollars on shirts. Can you offer any compensation for a problem with the clothing you are having made overseas?

Chico's Retail Services Customer Service

My aunt is coming down to visit. I wanted to surprise her with a shopping spree for 8/6/22. I was told to go online and schedule the appointment to have a employee personally help her shop. I went online and booked for 9 AM. It was accepted and I later received an email, so I called the store because of the email. I was told the store doesn't open that early. (Well why is that an option of time?) So, then I was told they could accommodate me for 9:30am. (The woman had an accent) I called today 7/31/22 to ask about a time change. I was then told no because there is a fashion show. I then preceded to ask if 9:30 was still good and Diane said it would not be good because she will be tied up with the fashion show. This is terrible customer service because when was I going to be notified of this? What would've happened if I showed up expecting to get the services I signed up for? Desired outcome: I would like a response about this. I'm not even sure if I want to step foot back in that particular store.

Chico's Retail Services Store Manager Diane Miner

While recently working at Chico's at Town & Country (store 203) on Saturday, July the 17th I was doing a return for a customer. The transaction indicated that the customer would be receiving a check. Since this was an online order, it was perplexing. Diane Miner (who was working the other register) asked what was wrong when I told her she called for the closing manager Stacia Rabia to come help. When Stacia approached the register to help and explain the problem, Diane Miner rudely interrupted and told me to get out of the way and ‘go play’ she said this in front of the customers and left everyone quite appalled and uncomfortable when I approached her about her behavior, she said: “well it's better than telling you to go steam”.

I know that Chico's has its employees do training related to such behaviors, so I'm not exactly sure why Diane felt it was in best to humiliate me after taking such training classes and in front of customers. I was so upset I had to leave for the evening and have not been back for another shift. I told her behavior was rude and unwarranted. As a manager she should train her staff rather than humiliate them. I do not believe this type of behavior is part of Chico’s management training, so why is Diane allowed to behave in such a way.

Desired outcome: I believe Diane Miner needs to be reprimanded for her behavior

Chico's Retail Services Chico's Online Order System

I placed an order with Chico's online and when the order processed, I noticed the address was my old address from where I had recently moved. I IMMEDIATELY hit the online chat button to contact them to change the shipping address. I was put in the queue and waited about 30 minutes for a customer assistant. When I told them I needed the address changed or that I wanted to cancel and then reorder, I was told that any changes had to be done within 30 minutes of placing an order. My closet is FULL of Chico clothes; however, I can reassure you that there will never be any more added. So Unprofessional and not customer-oriented.

Desired outcome: Make the address change or cancel the order and refund the money.

Chico's Retail Services Charged twice for the same item.

I feel I was charged for the same item twice. I purchased a Jacket, pants and tee for $302.33. Paid $302.33 on 5/11. Then on 5/13 you charged me $151.18. I did not purchase anything else. I feel you charged me twice for the jacket?

Chico's Retail Services Return

May 13 at 3 pm I went with a friend as a witness and costumer to the Studio City California store to exchange a gift of 2 items for a total of $189.85 I talked to a sales lady that. gave me the amount. A fortunate you’re inventory is very low and in 2 items not my size and your sales person not very nice said they had problems with the computer and she can’t check if they were available in other stores So I ask for my credit that could not be given to me because of problems with your computer so I went back home to Beverly Hills that is almost an hour drive and on top of it been. taken care by an sour face lady. For sales people like that you close many stores. I am a merchant and she should have a solution to please a costumer trough the phone with a head manager and not saying nothing I can do.

From Me to Chico's Customer Service on 12/31/2021
I sent this return back in mid-November. According to your link from your email (see attached copy of page 1): The label was created on 11/14/2021 and package was picked up by the shipping agent on 11/16/2021 at 11:47 am in Montgomery Texas.

The Newgistics tracking number is 7251077316013737021022114320. The USPS tracking number is 420569019202390100709202868530.

When I look up the order via My Account at Chicos.com it states: "We are sorry, but your order could not be retrieved at this time."

I have been a Chicos customer for a long time and want to continue to do business with Chicos. However, this return package must be found and it is Chicos responsibility to find it and issue me a refund of $369.00.

This is the 2nd incident in December 2021 that I have had to spend my time researching an issue with Chicos in order to get a refund. I'm afraid these type of incidents erodes Chico's reputation.

PLEASE RESOLVE IMMEDIATELY!

Chico's Retail Services Shirts that were makes the wrong size. No real refund of money.

I was sent shirts that were either way to big or way to small. They said I could have a refund but when I tried to get the refund they would always jack me around. Now they are not even answering my messages.

Desired outcome: I want my money they owe me and only in the form of a check.

Chico's Retail Services Rudeness of an employee (store manager)

I have been a customer at Chico for 50 years and love your styles. I have never been treated with so much disrespect. I will admit that I did not know that your policy was "No reimbursement for items washed"

I was surprised because I had the receipt and that policy was not on the receipt. The manager came over to confirm that info. I was upset and pushed the blouses across the counter and told them to keep them both. The manager began yelling that "she did not have to take abuse loud enough that people came out of the dressing rooms. She told me to leave the store, she was calling security and the police." She took my arm and walked me out of the store yelling. I told her she was out of line and to take her hands off me. She has no business being a manager. She was rude and over reacted.

Chico's Retail Services not honoring my 40% coupon.

On 9/26, I purchased the Purple Velvet Ruana. With my 40% coupon and my passport discount the the original price of $139 came to $83.98 including tax.

I returned the item on 9/28 but proceeded to purchase the Colorblock Floral Poncho priced a $109 assuming the 40% coupon could now be applied to this item since I returned the item that used the coupon. Imagine my surprise and quite honestly, anger, that the sales clerk would not apply it . She told me it had already been used. I said, yes, but I'm returning it and plan to apply it to a different item. She told me it could not be reused, which makes absolutely no sense since I was not trying to use it twice on two different items. I would essentially, still be using it once. Consequently, I walked out of the store without purchasing another item. That is exceptionally bad customer service for your customers who are loyal and regular shoppers.

Chico's Retail Services discrimination

I went in to the store today (Sept.3, 12018) at 3:30PM at Firewheel Town Center, 275 Cedar Sage Dr, Garland, TX 7504 only to be completely ignored by the sales women that were too busy having their little conversation by the cash register. Three minutes later another lady walked in and they had no problem stopping their conversation to greet her and welcome her to the store. I immediately called my husband to tell him to tell his mom not to buy me any more gift certificates from Chico's for Christmas because apparently they don't care to have my business and I explained to him why. The two emmployees never even bothered to apologize to me for their behavior, I know they heard my conversation because I was standing by them, they just continued with their conversation. Finally and elderly employee, Pam, came from the back and apologized for taking so long for helping me...even she heard my phone conversation. Is it your store policy to treat Hispanics as if they are not as important as other customers that walk in? If I could return the gift certificate and get my in-laws money back, I would do that in a heartbeat. For this kind of treatment I would rather go back to shopping online with Coldwater Creek.

Chico's Retail Services thank you gift

I received a Chico's postcard 8/7/18 thanking me for my patronage and telling me they had a gift (garment bag or tote) for me to pick up at the store on 8/5/18. I arrived at the Cumming, GA store located in the Collections shopping center about 2 hours after the store had opened on 8/5/18. The sales associate and the store manager stated "Corporate sent 6 gifts and all were gone". They further stated "25 customers were waiting in front of the store before opening time to receive these gifts". I thought this was a strange comment coming from the sales staff so I telephoned the store in Alpharetta, GA in the North Point shopping center. The sales associate answering the phone stated "Corporate didn't send us any gifts". Now why would a registered NASDAQ corporation pay an advertising firm to send thank you postcards with gift promises and not deliver these gifts to the stores? Is this a SCAM? What a disappointment.

Chico's Retail Services postcard for a free thank you tote

04/05/18. I received a postcard for a free tote on Wed 04/04. Starting date for the availability was 04/02. I went to the store 04/05 of course we have none left. So the sales associate contacted the Ross Park store of course they did not have them either. The sales associate indicated oh you can call in and we can reserve you one next time. I understand while supplies last. Obviously the stores do not get enough for their customers. The sales associate says we can give you $10.00 off item. Really is this how Chicos does business. I am a loyal Chicos customer. This will make me think twice before I go back and make a purchase. Thank You

Chico's Retail Services the poorest example friendly and efficient online customer service

After realizing a recent online return had been shorted by two items totaling approx $60, I called Chicos customer service. What happened next is something that I have never experienced before and is a example in customer service of what never to do. As an avid online shopper, I have experienced friendly service reps and supervisors committed to customer satisfaction with every retailer I've ever called.

In contrast, Chicos online service reps apparently have no training in customer satisfaction; they are trained to offend and disappoint customers. It was shocking to me that Chicos told me they could not refund the $60 they owe me for the warehouse's mistake. They said I didn't call them quickly enough to report the mistake. I repeatedly asked, "What is the time restriction for customers to report your warehouse's mistake?" and could never get a direct answer. It's a judgment call as to how long is too long apparently. So, rather than take my word for it, considering I had an hour invested in researching and reporting the mistake, they told me to call American Express and dispute the charge.

I couldn't believe my ears. I asked the Chicos supervisor how it makes sense for me to dispute the charge that will ultimately result in Chicos being forced to issue the credit, and put both Chicos and Amerian Express through unnecessary dispute paperwork? He said that's how it had to be done.

So, rather than resolve their warehouse inventory mistake easily, Chicos is indifferent to losing a customer and would rather have me tell 500 people how they are failing as a retailer. Rather than concede the warehouse made an honest mistake scanning in the return or consider that maybe a warehouse employee stole the merchandise, they chose to take issue with my not asking for the credit I'm owed fast enough. For the record, no major retailer has ever had or will have a problem with a customer reporting an error 60 days later.

I'm guessing that the supervisor advised you to dispute the charge because that's what his superiors advised him. It's possible, even though they have essentially no chance of winning, that they want to see if AmEx will rule in their favor.

Chico's Retail Services Unethical behavior

I would like to report unethical, discriminatory behavior, I have observed between the Sales associates and management at:

I have been a long standing customer with Chico's for well over a decade. For the past 8-9 years, I have shopped at this store regularly and have had the pleasure of receiving the diligent, consistent, and outstanding customer care of your Sales Representative, Ms. Ondina Kadic.

A couple of months ago I came to the store and witnessed a new employee, Ms. Julie Clark, openly ridiculing her co-worker Ms. Ondina Kadic about her European accent in addition to making very inappropriate/offensive racial and political remarks about Ms. Kadic. To my surprise the Manager, Heather, stood by and instead of correcting/redirecting Ms. Clark, she smiled along and nodded her head to Ms. Clark, even when Ms. Kadic quietly expressed to management that she was not comfortable with these type of jokes and political comparison on her account. Management further went on telling Ms. Kadic to take it easy it’s all in good fun. Then a few weeks ago when I came to shop there again, this abuse toward Ms. Ondina Kadic was still ongoing.

As a customer, I was uncomfortable and offended even standing by and observing this type of belittling, humiliating, and bulling toward an outstanding Customer Service Representative, such as Ms. Ondina Kadic. I was truly in disbelief that this type of behavior would be displayed by adult woman that are in management positions.

At first, I had decided to stop shopping at Chico's in order not to fund this type of political aggression and unethical behavior. However, after sincere contemplation, I was compelled to report this type of unprofessional, unethical/unacceptable mob mentality that went beyond any business ethics requirements in a civilized, sophisticated environment such as Chico's. I was certain that the Complaint Department would want to know about this incident and appreciate the opportunity to correct this type of behavior.

Chico's Retail Services Jacket

I received a jacket that I paid full price for. First time I wore it, one button fell off. I sewed it back on. The second time I wore it, two buttons fell off but I only found one. I have never even buttoned the jacket. Cheaply made and very expensive. Now I am missing a button on a jacket that I only wore twice. I tried to return it but it was over the 60 days so I was not able to return it. I requested that they send me an extra button but they said they don't have any. Chico products are very poor quality and their customer service is nonexistent. I would think twice before shopping there. Companies with poor quality merchandise have short return policies. Companies with better quality merchandise have more generous return policies. Chicos stuff doesn't last 90 days so return policy is 60 days.

Chico's Retail Services Return policy

I purchased three items before leaving for an overseas trip = been a Chico's customer for years. We were gone 6 weeks. Upon our return, I tried to take back two of the three items, but the store said "too bad, you kept them 62 days rather than returning them within 60 so no store credit and no return" Everything had their tags on them, I had my receipt, the items were not on sale and still in the store, and still no luck. I find this quite rigid. The date of purchase was 1/3/2107 and the transaction # was 8170. I tried doing the "chat" to get try to get some resolution but she was unable to help. I want people out there to realize that there is no flexibility in the 60 days policy. After shopping at Chicos for years, I will never grace their door again. With companies like Nordstrom who bend over backwards to help customers, why shop somewhere the touts exceptional service but does nothing to back it up.

Chico's Retail Services Coupon

I spent 260 dollars at the Cranston store on a friday evening, and then went to the smithfield store that same evening and spent another 80 dollars. When I went home that night I realized that I had forgotten to take a coupon that read 25 dollars off any 50 dollars spent except outlet stores. So the next day I went back to the cranston store and asked for the coupon to be applied. They said fine. In the meantime I looked around and spent another 195 dollars. Of this 95 dollars there was a shirt I was unsure of and cost 99 dollars. I told her I may return it because I have a similar one. Well she put the coupon on the most recent purchase in stead of the already purchased items. And heres the thing, when I went to return it, they would no longer give me the 99 dollars but only 83 dollars. I have 2 businesses and have worked in retail at Sears for many years. This is wrong. The coupon stated that I only had to spend 50 dollars. Even that reciept showed another 95 dollars spent on it after that shirt. I believe they know they are being fraudulent and are getting away with it. When I went on line, I saw many other coupon complaints for them. Most people that go there are weathly and may not even check the math, or don't care because they have expendable money. However, it is still WRONG.. I am not weathly, not yet, and I do shop the sales, and they are very snooty in Smithfield. The Smithfield manager is a B. NOT NICE... The place was empty and she will not see my face again. But she doesn't care. When I was in that store I called the Cranston store and they said they would take care of me. We shall see. If not I will post it and call the attorney generals office on them. Again they won't care but I will feel better. If you are the owner of this company reading this, shame on you. I predict that the smithfield store will close in the next year or 2. Fire the staff, or change your policies. You know it isn't only about the money, I feel scammed. I don't like being scammed.

The coupon was used as a courtesy. YOU forgot to use it, so it was used on the MOST RECENT purchase, the purchase you actually had the coupon to use with. What does it matter what sale it was used on? You still saved $25 either way. I am not getting your issue.
