In my contact list four addresses have popped up on the "end" of my list. Basically, they are not part of my contact list-they are just on there and they are in bold type. Their names are SexyChickRoom, KinkyChat, DrunkGirlRoom and Chickcrazzyou. Any ideas on how to "dump" these from my list?? This is scaring me. They shouldn't be there. I hope u can help. Thanks Capt. John

Hi Captain John, do you use hotmail? I do.
I too had SexyChickRoom for a couple of days. Then a few minutes ago one called nakedchatshh showed up.
I've run my Norton 360, Windows Defender, etc. Nothing.
Finally fed up with it and having all my protection up to date...
These things were showing up in the pop up box for adding names to forwarding or sending new e-mails to. They had no address but I could click on sexychickroom and it would appear in the "To" field...
fed up, I sent it.

It came back to my inbox. I clicked on it and it took me to Windows Live Groups where I was able to decline entrance into that group.
Immediately after I was offered to join... nakedchatshh.
I declined that one also.
Finally I opened up a new e-mail, clicked the "To" field, scrolled down and they were both gone!!!
I am going to run another virus scan. If something bad shows up, I will post it here. It should take an hour.

I hope this helps and it does'nt look like a virus or mal-ware of any kind.
But once again, if something shows up in my Scan, I will be post it.

Post what you come up with. I'll be checking periodically.

I found the solution for it.
Click on the "Contact" on the left hand side of the windows
then click on "View Invitation" agin on the left hand side
Delete the invitation Sexychickroom and kink... or any other one
and they are not in my contact list anymore

deldr3 - Brilliant! Clearly and succinctly stated, and effective and easy to operate solution. I don't even use IM or belong to any groups (at least I think so), and I have accumulated three of these group invitations and several friend invitations - all with female names, by the way, except for the two from actual people I know. After declining each invitation I got the option to "Block this person and report as spam" - which I did, though surely these people are constantly moving on to new addresses. But at least for now my contact list is cleaned. Thank you!

these only showed up at the end of my blind copy list, no where else. just accidentally saw them, because I don't often go all the way to the end when i'm sending to my usual group email list.

Very happy to find this thread! I clicked "Messenger" right from my hotmail inbox page (the left margin stuff), then "Invites" and got rid of those groups. I only wish I could have flagged them somehow as unwanted to send them to MSN. All sorts of bad hacks have been happening with msn lately, and my sister asking me about 'kinkychat' after receiving my group email was pretty embarassing!
