JPMorgan Chase forced foreclosure

In October of 2005, my father who refinanced with Chase Home Finance, passed away. Unfortunately he passed away intestate. He had made a payment to Chase the day before he died. After the his bank learned of his death, they froze his accounts. Money could go in but not out.

I had spoken to Chase from day one. Sent them close to a dozen death certificates. The mortgage was not paid for the 3 months I awaited to be appointed administratrix. Finally in Feb/March of 06 I was appointed administratrix. During the 3 months the mortgage was not paid. Phone calls to me were on a daily basis from Chase. I would receive anywhere from 4-10 calls per days. I told them over and over that I had to wait to be appointed before I could access my father's bank accounts and pay the mortgage.

April of 06 I made a payment from my personal account. Chase accepted it. Upon accessing my fathers account and closing it, I opened up a new account and put that money in there. I went online to chase epay and logged into my fathers mortgage account. I made a payment of 11K and change. I received and email stating that they had received processed and applied the payment to my account.

The money was taken out of my account. Later that same month, I made another payment to the mortgage, this was debited then returned to my checking account. This went on until July of 06. The phone calls kepts coming in multiple times a day. Depending on who you talked to it was yes we see the 11k payment or no we dont. All depended on who you spoke with.

July of 06 after attempting yet again to pay the mortgage, Chase called and said, unless you're going to pay all your back payments, stop sending us money, we will just return it.

I have filed a suit against chase due to their incompetance. They have tried around 4 times to auction my house and each time I was able to stop it. Chase has done nothing but bleed me financially, physically, and mentally. I have yet to scatter my father's ashes and put him to rest due to this on going battle with chase.

JPMorgan Chase home foreclosure with lien filed by cach, llc. this year.

I am in the midst of a foreclosure with J.P. Morgan Chase Bank, NA. on a home I own is Cincinnati and noticed on the court filings that CACH, LLC. placed a lien on my foreclosed home in February of this year 2009. Realizing I just signed up for Care One Debt Consolidation with my credit cards in February and knowing I have no contractor or second mortgages on the home, it came to quite a surprise this company had filed a lien against this property. I find this completely puzzling. I have not had a chance to contact my legal counsel handling my debt consolidation and don't really know if they can help in this but I find this completely inethical since this is a debt collection firm managing Chase accounts place a lien on a property that is under foreclosure. Do you have any advise or can you help?

JPMorgan Chase awful bank

I had been a customer for 12 years without a late payment. I didn't receive a bill last month and was popped for a $40 service charge and interest on a card I had paid in full for 12 years - no late payments. I called customer service and was told that neither the first person I spoke with nor the supervisor could waive the late fee - supervisor even hung up on me when I asked him to repeat that he did not have the authority. Was told it was "policy". Went to a branch and they said if I had another account they would try to help but without another account there was nothing they could do. This is the way they choose to do business I choose not to do business with them - a pity after 12 years. I guess they get enough of the taxpayers money they just don't care to keep customers who pay the bills...

When I left went to move from chicago to Virginia I closed my Chase account. I had no fees owed and no outstanding checks. TWO ENTIRE WEEKS LATER they reopened my account to pay an comcast bill which was autodebited but should not have been, as I had moved AND canceled my account with Comcast. Then after paying comcast out of my closed account they proceeded to charge me a daily fee for being negative... Well I got to where I am and was using another bank account I have in NY to live off of, when I tried to open a bank account in VA months later I was told that I owe Chase 2000 dollars, as they have been charging my re-opened account 5 dollars a day. WOW. Talk about sucking!

I bougth my 1997 geo Metro from bank one years ago i was getting ready to sale my car when I lost the title the dnv told me i would have to go down to chase and have sign lein release form, now mind you the car was paid off over ten years ago chase took over for bank one i went there and they said they would not sign a lein release till they checked in to see if i owed them any money could not find any thing on the car and they still will not sign, so again i went to the dnv and told them they said it would take around two months but they said they would notify chase ask them why they cannot help people with this problem i wish somebody would close chase down

Greetings,

I have a little different story to tell about Chase Bank as someone who has been banking there for just about 4 years. Chase purchased Bank One where my accounts were located and I decided to leave my banking with them, now I had horrible service from Bank ONE, I had a supreme dislike for that operation and had been investigating other Banks to transfer to when Chase took over. Since day one of Chase Bank's ownership there has not been one problem that I can recall, I am very pleased to say that Chase has a perfect record with me. I recommend them to everyone, but I will say this about banking with ANY financial institution in 2009; do not live beyond your ability to pay cash, OR at least be able to pay off your revolving charge cards each billing cycle. Whenever a balance is carried, then added to for months and years heartache is bound to occur in that Bank to customer relationship sooner rather than later, first people resent paying interest on their debt's, 2nd they do not like repaying their debts especially if they are having difficulty staying current because fees, and penalties add up rather quickly, it really does pay to wait and pay cash for what you "THINK" you need.

Lower your risk for dissatisfaction that is what I was taught... The world looks better that way..

I just spoke to a Chase rep. and she talked over me the whole time treating me like an idiot. I was calling to dispute a charge on my account and she was trying to tell me that I had not read the fine print...which I had. She told me to call back when I had more info and they might take the charges off if I could PROVE I had canceled the order. Another problem I have had with Chase is that after always paying on time and alot more than the minumum payment due, they lowered my credit line, almost to the balance on the card and raised my APR to 19.24%. I have a beacon score at almost 800 and have never been late on anything, neadless to say I will not be using my card again even when I get it paid off.

I have been a Chase Bank customer for 20+ years, from NBD to Bank One, and that freaking Chase Bank bought them out. I never had any issues until this past week when they sent me letters to close all of my accounts: checking, savings, credit card, IRA, and investment accounts without any logical reason/explanation.
They only said "We have the rights to close your accounts without a reason".

What a freaking idiot!
You guys need to file a class action lawsuit, and I will be the 1st one to sign it.

Ohhhh chase will sue you trust me. I went through it for a 2000.00 balance. They will and you wont win if you do what genius before me is advising you to do. But hey hurt your credit and get your wages garnished or what ever :)

Yep! They're not the only ones to do that. Capital One tried the same thing to me. $15-dollar "late fee" for a paid off card. They'd posted my final payment FIVE days before it was due. There was no interest due them.
Each month, they would send me a bill. Each month I sent it back to them unopened. To do this: Write "REFUSED" on the unopened/offensive thing & place it back in your mailbox. They will get tired of paying double postage on that bill and they will also get the message that you have no intention of paying it. They will not sue you...it is not worth the lawyer and court fees. More importantly, you are in the right. Four months later, they stopped billing me. A year later, they sent me offers stating they "wanted me back." Those were "REFUSED" as well,

JPMorgan Chase eorbitant overdraft f

I never was behind paying my bills, but I had to go onto Social Security Disability a few years ago, and that is the only income I have. I got a checking account at one major bank, and a year ago I switchd to Chase. In one year I have paid about $3000 on overdraft fees and though I tried to discus this issue with them several times, they have been cold and heartless. Obviously, when I have to pay these fees, I can't pay my bills, and I am more behind than ever.
Even if I am overdrawn by $5.00, I get charged $35.
I really hate the whole banking system, but I have no choice but to have an account. Though my story is not unusual, I feel like we are all victims, and I resent that they are "bailed out" but they won't give their clients one break.

I feel bad for your situation, but lazulite is basically correct.

Also, nearly every bank has a similar overdraft policy.

But Chase has gone a step further.

They've taken over our WaMu account, and we received a letter last week saying that they will now start charging a monthly fee (since our balance is below their enormous required minimum - well, enormous to my family).

Of course, we decided to cancel our account and switch to one of the many other banks that offer free checking (we've already opened that new account and are very happy with it).

But Chase had a plan for that also. Apparently a lot of people had the same plan - - so Chase will now penalize customers who try to close their accounts by taking a sizable percentage of the balance if you try to close your account.

It's every person's responsibility to keep track of what they spend in there checking account. Your given a transaction register to keep a running balance in to that you know how much you have to spend. If you get a joint account with someone you have just as much right to the money in the account as they do, and just as much responsibility for any overdrafts. If you read the discloser booklet you come across something called "right of offset." This basically means that if an account goes negative the bank has the right to transfer as much money out of any other account the account holders may have in order to make that account negative. This prevents the bank from losing money on someone who has a positive balance in one account and spends it before fixing the negative on another. I recommend asking a teller for a list of all your accounts. There are also email alerts, text message alerts, mobile, telephone and online banking to help you balance your checkbook.

Basically don't spend money you don't have, and be pro-active on checking all your accounts.

OMG i am having similar problems with Chase! My ex husband and I had a joint account, I thought my name was off. I opened my own acct at wamu which is now chase. ITs been 2 years. Well he overdrew his account and racked up Overdraft charges... not my problem right? well I noticed yesterday that my account was $500 negative? I just got my check how could this be? Well they decided to take over $750 out of my checking to cover my ex's account... but it didn't cover his overdraft completley... he is still in the hole for $100 MEANWHILE... all my stuff came in (gas, food, atm, ) and they charged me $33 in overdraft FOR EVERYTHING that came in... which totals over $300 in overdraft charges... I tried to call customer service... but they refuse any assistance. My Ex is an honorable guy (thank God) he promised to pay me my $750 but what about the $300 in overdraft that Chase MADE me accrue? All they did was make my account in the negative and they racked up massive overdraft fees. I don't understand the reasoning for this. They made my account negative for no reason, it didn't make my ex's account square. I am going to call corporate but I seriously doubt they will help at all. And as soon as both accounts are in the Plus.. my ex promised to take my name off (chase said he has to close the account compeltely to get my name off) and I am changing to a credit union where chase will never get my money again... I hope Obama makes them pay for how they treat customers while they steal our money and take bailout money... jerks!

JPMorgan Chase late fee fraud & otrageous apr increase

I had a credit card with Washington Mutual for over a year and a half. When WaMu went south, I took my money out of the bank and opened up an account with Wells Fargo. I kept the credit card, which was taken over by CHASE. Well, I had not missed a payment in over a year and a half. The payment date was changed and because I pay bills online, I happened to miss the payment date by five days. When I looked at the bill I decided to call CHASE. I explained that as a loyal customer to WaMu, I was not currently working could they waive the late fee of $39.99 off of my bill.

Long and short. I talked to four different customer service reps. Each one was a supervisor of the last one I spoke to. I explained my situation and that I had never been late, could they waive the fee. Each time I was told that the Terms of their Agreement are clearly stated and they do not under any circumstance waive fees. At this point I am steaming mad. I then look down at my statement and see that my APR went from 14% to ARE YOU READY FOR THIS - 29.99%! Are you f-in kidding me?

I then remembered that the nice gentleman at the bank just last week said I was approved for any credit card transfer for a 0% fee for six months! So, I proceeded to let them know that "when I hang up this phone, I am driving down to my bank and giving my bank my business, because what you are doing is a FLEECING of AMERICA! This is a LATE TRAP! Told them I work in the media and I was going to take part with the rest of American's to boycott and tell the world that CHASE is a FRAUD! I'm making every effort to make my payment on time and the ONE time I am late because of confusion on my payment date - THEY RIP ME OFF!

Went to my bank where the nice representative Lana helped me to transfer my balance to a card at my bank. It took me all of 20 minutes to hang up my phone, get in my car and drive to my branch...smiling the whole way.

Then as I come out of the gym, I see a guy holding a sign at the Corner of Topanga/Ventura that says something like this "CHASE doesn’t keep promises" with a website...

Target Visa added late fees on top of late fees resulting in overlimit fees on top of overlimit fees when they knew I was unemployed with no means whatsoever of making payment.

I told them I have charged-off their account and will not pay them, I've written them of as a non-payable debt and they will never be paid.

Thay tried next to file suit but could never locate me, as I was not legally required to identify myself, I simply said I was not the person they were seeking, they went away indicating "incorrect address".

Case was dimissed with prejudice due to unserved status on complaint.

Dumb jerks. I recommend everyone refuse to pay them, not much they can do.

Also after this hassle, never, NEVER use your real SSN# on credit applications. Make one up. As long as the name and address is correct it's legal as you are not stealing someone's indentity. There are duplicate SSN#s in existance, therefore making one up is fine. This can help protect you from the crooked credit card companies later, as an example, they can not find where you work if they do not have you real SSN # because you are legally ONLY required to use your real SSN # for bank accounts, employment and govenment taxes.

You are NOT required to use your real SSN # for credit applications and after the abuse by Target, I will never use the real SSN# again for a credit card. I recommend everyone do the same. Turn the SSN # into something useless for the credit card companies.

Listen to this folks:
I am not only pay chase card payment early but I paid extra for each payments, in another words, I have credits with chase credit card. On March 2009, chase mailed me a check $379 dollars for over patment which I normally payment them $500 dollars each time for later use. Because they my payment back, on April 2009, I had late fee charge for $15 dollars. I called telephone center spoke to account supervisor to reversal the late fee, and she said "NO". I told her "Chase doen need me anymore, $15 dollars is nothing. I had a bank account with WAMU with $95, 000 deposits which now is CHASE. I went to CHASE bank close my bank account. I called tem to close my credit card and send the credit balance back. "Goodbye to CHASE" I will not to have business with you any more. In fact, I had mortgate with CHASE and I paid it off 15 years ago. I have been with Chase 25 years, till this happened.

They are all the same. I am having the same problem with Target National Bank/Target Visa, will not give exact due date, say it fluctuates, then one time I paid it electronically and the date changed by one day and then they threw a 39.00 late fee on. I called and they said they would remove it one time and to pay my regular payment, which I did, but they never removed it and so they threw another late fee on the next month on the late fee they never removed. Currently, even though I have only had one payment late, by one day and was told they would remove the late charge, they are showing I have a balance due of $175, all late fees on top of late fees, no payments late or due. They are nothing but a bunch of immoral, unethical, sociopaths who would sell their soul to the devil for a dollar bill. No hope for any of them. Best thing to do is pay all your credit cards off and don't take out anymore, EVER. Also, would not hurt to sue the crap of them in the meantime. These people and their companies are trash, absolulte trash. I have two business degrees, my bachelors is from a Christian University, I would not work for one of these crooked companies for a million dollars an hour, I truely do not know how they sleep at night, ###.

Samething happened to me. Chase credit card customer reps are rude and useless. Unfortunately I can't close my accounts with them because I am in the middle of a mortgage loan process. But when that is all said and done, I will definitely be closing my accounts. I'm sure this is happening to alot of people. This can't be right. Someone should open a Civil Lawsuit against them.

The same thing happened to me. When I called I couldn't even get a supervisor to talk to me on the phone. So I did the same thing. I transferred my balance to another card with a promotional 0% APR. Then after it went through, Chase had the nerve to send me an e-mail saying I could transfer the balance back for 0%. I had 3 cards with Chase I am going to cancel all of them.

JPMorgan Chase change term of the account

We had a credit card account with Washington Mutual, which has been absorbed by Chase. We have always paid in an excellent manner. When we did not receive the March statement, I went ahead and scheduled a payment through online billpay. Anticipating that they could possibly change the due date, thereby putting me late and enabling them to change the terms of my account, I paid the bill 6 days earlier than usual. I received the statement today to discover that they did change the due date to 7 days earlier. So, I was one day late. I was charged a late fee and my interest rate was increased by 11%.

I called them and asked them to review my account with WaMu. If they did so, they would have seen that we have an excellent, long term payment history with them. Also, I made reasonable attempts to avoid this situation. Chase responded that they did send a bill and since there was no banking error, nothing would change. While on hold for a supervisor, I googled the situation to discover that many of those who were a part of the conversion did not receive a statement and the same thing happened to them. The supervisor agreed to waive the late fee, but the interest rate would remain.

I am a chase visa credit card holder for over 20 years. I got a promotional rate offer of 3.99 % on a transfer amount as long as I agree to make a 2 % minimum monthly payment. I've been paying on time and I sometimes pay more than the minimum. In my September bill, chase increases the minimum payment from 2% to 5%. When I called their customer service and complained to them that I've never violated their agreement, why are they changing the terms of the agreement. They gave me 2 options. If I want to keep the same 2% minimum payment, they'll have to increase my promotional rate from 3.99 % to 7.99 %. Otherwise I'll have to make the 5% minimum monthly payment. They could not care less about my budget.
They blame the goverment, saying that it is because of some changes or laws the goverment undertook.I am shocked and distraught. What can one do in this situation.

I have been a loyal Washington Mutual customer for over 15 years. When they were bought out by JP Morgan Chase, I knew that there would be changes to their policies and procedures, but was resolved to not change banks because of the overall hassle involved. However, due to the policies Chase has enacted with both my bank accounts and my credit card, I am more than willing to deal with the inconvenience of moving my money and my credit to another bank, if only to make a statement about how horrible this company is to work with.

My boyfriend and I have 6 bank accounts with Wamu/Chase and have always kept them in good standing. Once Chase took over, they want to charge fees for us to download our transactions into Quicken. I find this ridiculous -- Chase already takes our money, loans it out to other customers and makes quite a bit of interest off of it and now they want to charge us $10 an account to simply download our transactions? It requires very little of the bank's involvement for this to be possible -- the greed here is astounding. So we're now pulling our fairly sizable accounts from Chase and moving those to a local credit union.

Now to my credit card. I use my credit card quite liberally and again, I have had my credit card with WaMu for years. I've never missed a payment, have never been more than one or two days late with a payment and have had my credit limit continually raised because I've been such a good customer. I used to pay my credit card off completely every month, but this last year I have needed to have more cash on hand for a remodeling project, so have been making a payment (well above the minimum payment due) every month.

I was making my payment online in July and noticed that my credit limit was about $1200 lower than what it used to be. I was concerned, but not overly so, and as I was leaving on vacation the next day, decided to deal with it upon my return. I received a letter detailing the lowering of my limit two weeks AFTER the decision had been made without any input from me whatsoever.

They claim that due to various credit factors, they unilaterally lowered my credit limit without discussion. I have no idea what they're talking about with regards to credit factors as I own my own house, two cars and have a very good credit score, but by lowering my available credit, they are actually DAMAGING my overall credit rating. Understandably, I am very upset. I called Chase and the incredibly unhelpful, unintelligent robot that answered my call insisted that neither he or his supervisor would be able to reinstate my credit limit to what it was before.

I am now in the process of transferring the balance of my Chase card to another bank so that Chase will not have any of my business, nor my boyfriend's business. They can say goodbye to the interest they would have received from our various accounts as well as the interest they would have made from my credit card. In addition, I have told numerous friends and family members about Chase's business tactics and to date, four people that I know have removed their accounts and credit cards from Chase. I will continue to tell people I come into contact with to leave Chase and will cross post my complaints on every web medium I can find to encourage other Chase customers to leave as well. In researching the possible repercussions to this event, I came across literally hundreds of complaints from people just like me in the same situation. What is being done to resolve these issues?

If this is Chase's way of increasing or maintaining their client base, it's an incredibly poor business model; one can only hope this will result in their eventual downfall. It's time that banks that are poorly managed and run on corporate greed realize the consequences of their policies: loss of customers and company failure, one that the American public will NOT bail them out from.

JPMorgan Chase grandfathered in bank one checking acct.

Bank One checking account holder for 10 or so years before Chase bought them- so account holder for about 15 years now. I was assured at the time Chase aquired my account that it would be grandfathered in with zero changes. The account is 100% totally free checking, no minimum balance requirements, no direct deposit, no monthly service fees, no spending requirements etc. FREE in every essence of the word.

My accidental life insurance policy, which was originally offered and set up through Bank One is taken out of this account. This is the only thing I use the account for- nothing else. $16.50 auto withdraw every 3 months- $20 deposit every three months to cover it.

Evidently Chase was unhappy with not making monthly fees so according to them they notified me in January 2009 on my statement that the account would be changed to a $500 minimum balance account or a $10 fee would be charged. I never got that notification as I get online statements- I am requesting a hard copy at a local branch today to see what the alleged notification actually said. But just because you are notified doesn't make it okay to do anything they want. Years of account history informed them that the account would not have $500 in it nor would it have more than the one transaction every quarter.

The account had $3.40 in it when they wanted to take the brand new $10 monthly fee out in February. So they took every last penny in February leaving a zero balance, it was just days after my auto withdraw had hit- otherwise they would have gotten their $10 and I would have not had the funds to cover my insurance. I am sure that would have triggered massive overdraft fees etc... After 60 days of a zero balance, the account is automatically closed. I show up to deposit my $20 for the life insurance policy and am notified that I no longer have an account.

After going in and talking to the c/s rep and and asst. mgr.- the bank manager calls me to inform me that I can have the account back as is for the $10 per month or $500 minimum balance or I can 'upgrade' to a new account for $6 per month. How is it an upgrade from $0 per month to a $6 fee per month? I guess in her mind that is better than $10, in my mind its still $6 per month more than I had been paying.

I told her that I was getting royally screwed for $120 per year or worse for $72 per year. She didn't agree that changing an existing free account to a fee account out of the blue is screwing anyone. So after 15 years, Chase has zero monthly fees from me (other than the $3.40 they took) and one massively unhappy ex-Chase customer vs. the option of zero monthly fees and a happy Chase customer. No wonder all the banks are having so many issues, they all suck at serving their customers. They all only think of the fees they can bleed from each account holder.

What recourse to we have? What can the little people do against the greedy giant banks? I guess this is the only thing we can do- warn each other that they are scheming, money hungry, heartless, fee charging machines. I highly recommend not using banks at all, but definitely not any bank with the name Chase on it or that has Chase as a parent company. It will only be a matter of time before your specific raping will occur. As found all over the internet, Chase is evil and cares nothing for those that keeps it in business. Good luck to you.

JPMorgan Chase getting the run around and the 3rd degree

Well let me get started by saying I agree with all the other opinions the other people have given, they are the most rude people in the business of car loans or anything else for that matter. I was just on the phone with chase today for about 2 hours, I kept getting put on hold for everything which thats understandable. When a rep finally spoke to me they were telling me the opposite of what another rep said to my wife. we need to get a deferment, my wife and I have fallen into hard times with money and we have allways been ontime making payments every month.
Well this lady named Valirie was telling me I can not have a deferment due me being unemployed but I get unemployment pay each week so I have money to make the bills every month. She gave me the 3rd degree and lectured me like she was my mother or worse actually, really demoralizing me. Thats not their problem if I'm unemployed all that they should just be concerned with getting their payment when I say I can make the payment, she kept telling me I was a low life with everything she was saying in a nut shell, so I hung up. I called back to speak with someone else my call kept getting passed around from person to person, each person I spoke with couldn't help me because they said they don't handle that stuff. So finally I got to someone else who spoke with my wife which he was extremely rude to her telling her to put me on the phone, my wife has all rights to the account so he shouldn't have been so short and rude to her, anyways He started to talk and was pretty much yelling at me about why did I call back when I have spoke with someone allready about the matter, I asked for a supervisor, he straight up said no! and hung up and re- routed my call to Washinton mutual bank. Little later my wife calls and gets a supervisor on the phone, he asked her if she was in employee she said no I'm a customer the guy said sorry I can't help you and hung up right away, his name was Steve. Thats where I'm at with chase the rip off bank.

We are in the same boat. we live in a town of 8000 people and rely on factories to keep us employed. 4 out of 6 of our factories are no longer in operation and i lost my job in july of 2008. I purchased a brand new suv 3 months before i got laid off. Chase financed my car and i thought i was getting a good deal. I had no idea that i was going to lose my job or i wouldnt have gotten a new car. Chase told me that its not their problem that i lost my job and when i asked to speak to a supervisor they told me no that a supervisor cannot help me. Can they really refuse? We are in good standing with our loan but the lady told me that they will still come get my car even if its one day late. I am not high risk and for them to tell me that really gets under my skin. They have always been rude to us and make us feel like we asked to lose our jobs. They dont care because we are paying for their paychecks. My fiancee even asked one lady if chase bank took the bailout and partied it up with us taxpayers money and she had the nerve to tell us they didnt get a bailout HA! Chase bank got billions and billions to help them out (i believe it was 25 billion) and no one can help us out? we are the ones that payed for that bailout. I love how the government tells us to keep putting back into the economy but even when we scrounge up the money to go out and buy something, we get nothing in return

Chase Bank did the same thing to us. They were rude and mean . They did not care that we lost our jobs through no fault of our own . We tried to explain to them that their is no jobs and my payments have always been paid on time . They would not listen . All they are doing is making people declare BK.

JPMorgan Chase loan modification

Is anyone familiar with Chase Residential Solutions? They are a Loan Modification Company in California offering assistance in 50 states and apparently the
business is handled by attorneys for a Flat fee with a money back guarantee. I am trying to locate them in California business records. I know nothing about them
but a friend is talking with them. Just want to make sure they are who they say they are.

I hear complaints and I hear great things but does anyone have a number or name of anyone, an attorney, a group, that can help if we are being scammed by chase, we have gotten the run around for our loan modification, its in plain black and white, on paper, all facts, anyone can see that they are pulling one over on us. I just need to know from anyone, is their a hotline? A attorney or company who is familiar with Chase 's scare tactics. I do not want to be scammed, I would like to work out a deal with chase but they are back peddeling and refuse to even look at the documentation that them themselves had sent to us. I just need someone to help me get in contact with someone at Chase to sort out each detail of this loan . We cannot get ahold of anyone, they are denieying that fact the previous paperwork we have ever existed, its a mess. Who do I call to help? Any suggestions, I will lose my home if this is not resolved asap. This has been going on since 2009, we just recieved a letter that we are 6 payments behind and that by the 1st we need to make a payment or we are done for. This letter does not support anything they have been telling us in writing or verbally for the last year...help Thankyou

Do NOT do business with MLC, Haglund Law, or anyone else associated with these people. I hired them, and paid them in full and up front, to handle a loan modification for me which they told me I was "Pre-approved" for before taking my money. After over a year and a half, my loan modification was declined. I ended up have to handle most of the paperwork and correspondence with the bank myself. Their customer service is horrible. Their performance is terrible as they didn't do what they promised they would. I have been trying to contact them for months now and I can't get a response from anyone. Again, DO NOT do business with this company!

I'm very unhappy with the comments of this so called "cousin" of mine. I don't have any cousins Moreno Valley or that go to this church in Moreno Valley. My parents and uncles both dealt with Jared and Sally of Chase and they regret it and eve reffering anyone to them. They were victims of Saving The American Dream and went to Jared and Sally hoping they could help. Jared and Sally were aware of my situation and my husbands legal status before they started working on my mod. THEY wrote my letters to the bank for me and THEY told me what to write on rent receipts and letters... they even made wrote up rental agreements for me. As for this cousin calling me out, it sounds to me like this may be a lame attempt by Jared and Sally to discredit me and make themselves look good, because I never told any of my family about my mod or how the process was being handled. The only ones that knew, were Jared and Sally who were advising me on everything... If you go through Chase, I really hope you have a better experience with them than I did... Hopefully you'll have differnt agents than I did... I never got a plan from them... My mortgage was $4600 a month... And we paid it for 3 years until it got to be too much... The only think they ever did was work on my second mortgage...

Chase Residential Solutions is a great company that has helped many families such as ours. We have had great success with them and the process can take any where from 30 to 90 days. They are able to help people who are in foreclosure but the process is different than some one who isn't. But give them a call and I am sure they will be able to answer you questions and guide you the right way. I am sorry for what has happened to your parents as I know that Chase has helped many of those who were affected by Saving the American dream. Unfortunately they took advantage of many innocent home owners including memebers of the Moreno Valley Chruch! That is how I found Chase Residential Solutions, my friend referred them to me at chruch.

JPMorgan Chase mortgage fraud/scam

I have spoken with a lawyer friend and done some preliminary research on the internet regarding my situation with Chase Home Finance, LLC and I believe I am victim to Fraud. After reading all of these complaints, I can see I am not the only one. I am going to contact class action lawyers until I find one who will take this case and take them to court.

My situation is as follows:

Our mortgage was sold to Chase Home Finance LLC approximately 3 years ago. Recently we received statements where our payments had been increased without warning or any sort of written explanation. After spending about 5-6 hours total on the phone with them it turns out they have been draining our Escrow for some flood insurance they claim FEMA told them we need. I spoke with FEMA and that's not true. Then, when they'd drained the escrow, they increase our payments to make up for it. We tried to get explanations from them to no avail and didn't pay the extra money. Now they're demanding their money and threatening to Foreclose if we don't pay. They have also put past due marks on our credit report. We are not wealthy, but we have some money to hold them off. This, as I'm learning is a common scam. We will go through all the appropriate legal steps to attempt to communicate our position with them but in the mean time we are going to take legal action. We are also going to refinance as soon as possible.

Be advised this is a scam. Get legal assistance and do not let them take your home! Refinance if you can as soon as possible before they ruin your credit.

I finally provided Chase with proof that we are not in a flood zone and so their actions were basically illegal. My Class Action Lawyer friend provided me with the contact information for their General Counsels office in Manhattan. I cc'd them on all of our correspondence. I think this might have helped b/c they refunded my money and took the policy off my account. Now, however, they're trying to tell me I'm a month behind in my payments which is not true. I believe I've rectified this situation as well. My plan is to, as soon as I have proof this is rectified and they've amended my credit, to refinance with a different company, but I believe, and my lawyer agrees with me, that there definitely is a class action lawsuit here and I would definitely participate. I would have started one but since they refunded my money I don't have a strong case...

I really can't get any help from JP Morgan Chase and don't no who to ask for help .I have forced placed insurance on my property twice . then in 2019 i paid over 2.400 00 in Escrow and little over 4000.00 in Franchise Fee's . and then in Dec of 2019 they was ready for HOA 20.000 loan they keep . you pay back but it added to loan . Then you loose ever-thing you pay and home you payed for originally goes back .Mine was 69.000 then it to 86.000 i had 17 years left on my loan but i don't anymore. This was over a payment i missed in June 2018 i payed extra ever month toward that payment then in Oct after filling out papers for repayment they denied me instead put me Forbearance plan i broke the plan and keep sending more 550.00, 600.00 my payment was 480.86 i did this to the end of Dec of 2019 . Then it got worse for me In March of 2019 i looked on Statement online i was behind three months .Oct, Jan, Feb, I sent proof of payments by mail, FedEx, and secure message they never got them . And i screwed again i made two payment to stay out of Foreclosure what happen they took as Escrow the to Franchise Fee's so no payment was made. it went to Franchise Fee's and other payments did as well . So in March i they did it again i made payment on 4th 550.00 i called on 20th to post a payment they ran it will i was on phone for 600.00 so no payment for March .JP Morgan is fraud, My escrow is plain Fraud and they sent to me it goes back 2017 and skip to 2018 then little in 2019 to get a balance i owe i paid a shortage on ever month and each year went to insurance and taxes so i don't no where they got this or they think i am stupid. I never ran into so many lies

Verob, Thanks. Pretty much the same stuff I came up with. "Chase Home Financing" is the name Chase Bank allows these people to use. When I looked up the phone number that was on our initial "you don't have enough insurance" letter, it came up as a scam number. When we first called that number last year, the people on the other end had no idea what the letter was about. And I also tried to track down Gerald Clay, who does not work for Chase, as you found out. Subsequent letters came over other names (never a signature, of course - that would be too professional) and none of them come up as being employees of Chase, if they exist at all. So if this is not a scam, what is?

I am nearly certain that the people who answer the phone as "Chase Home Financing" answer other phones in the same room as other companies, depending on who their contracts are with. For all we know they could even be prisoners, because prisoners do this kind of phone work.

The bottom line is that Chase has given our information to a very unprofessional and shady third party and we have no say in any of it.

According to my research, it looks lile this person does not work for Chase but for ASSURANT SPECIALTY PROPERTY amongst other companies (talk about multitasking). Wasted, this is horrible. But I'm confused - did you not have to sign your refinanced loan? I'm nearly certain you would have to, and you should also have a copy of it. The loan papers would have outlined whether it was fixed or an ARM, etc.

Of course you know this now, but send everything you write to them or their agents with some sort of delivery confirmation. Also, nothing any of them say is worth anything. We found that out when we were told our "verbal authorization" that we had adequate insurance was enough, by one of their people who no one recognized when we called back the next day to request it in writing.

We got a letter just the other day objecting to our calling the whole thing a "scam." It's true that they are not a scam like the Nigerian racket, but it's a scam nonetheless. Chase have franchised various parts of their mortgage operation and allowed strangers to do things that never should be done. Thus we have a company that sells insurance telling us we need more when we don't. If that isn't a scam, I don't know what is. And the idea of Chase behaving in this way and then getting upset that we called them a "scam" is priceless. It would be funny if it were not so sad.

Good luck with Chase. And for the record I don't think any of the mortgage brokers are any better than Chase - but Chase is the company we have experience with.

We bought our home in 1996 and our mortgage was sold to Chase Mortgage Company. We paid our mortgage with this company for 10 years with no problems. In 2004, both my husband and I lost our jobs - but we were still paying our mortgage. In August of 2005, we received a notice from Chase Home Finance, LLC, stating that we were eligible for re-financing at a lower interest rate. We decided to take this offer as our current payment was going up to $1100 a month and our rate was at 8%. It was the worst decision we have made! From the very beggining, everything the agent told us turned out to be lies. Our interest was lower because he had our loan as a ARM after I told him that we wanted a fixed rate, he "forgot" to include our taxes in our monthly payment, and when I contacted him before the 3 days were up for cancelling, he told me that everything was staightened out and I still have his e-mails. Since the very 1st payment on this loan, we have been fighting a war with Chase. We started falling behind on payments, due to me not being able to find a job and have been hassled constantly. I've written to the higher-ups in the company to complain about this whole loan and the attitude of the customer service department, loss mitigation department and loan modification departments. This has to be the worst run company I have ever had to deal with. Not one department knows what the other is doing. After contacting a Mr. Tom Kelly, our loan was changed to a fixed rate of 5% and we were placed in a modification program. Guess what? After receiving two payments for the modification program, I mailed the final payment and they sent it back, stating they do not accept personal checks for modification loans. Ha - that's funny - because that's exactly what they did with the first two payments. I have been fighting with this company for 5 years and now our house is in foreclosure and up for Sheriff's Sale in August. Exactly five years! When I last talked to a person at the company - Sara - who sounded 15 - asked why we have not made a payment in 24 months? I told her to check her records and maybe she would notice that Chase was no longer accepting our mortgage payments, I have the returned checks for proof - because they now want a full payment of over $32, 000. Our original mortgage was for $145, 000, now it over $163, 000! Our house is worth maybe $125, 000 - on a good day! I have sent documents over and over and over again being told they did not get them, they must have misplaced them and now I am tired of fighting. This company does not follow the modification rules set up by Pres. Obama, they make their own rules! They have many, many complaints against them through the BBB, they have many websites set up by other people that Chase has screwed with and complaints are also being filed through the Department of Justice and HUD. I have sent complaints to all of the aboe and to my local Congressman. And now I am going today to file for bankruptcy! I have had it and Chase does not care! They do not work with you, they will not put what you own onto the back of the loan, they tell you over and over to send the same forms and somoen from the government should be investigating this company! But then again - it seems our Government is only helping big business these days, not the people! And if I ever get the chance to get away from Chase - I will run as fast as I can! If anyone finances through this company, you should do the same!

This is horrible, isn't it?

And we were told by our actual Chase personal agent that this company is allowed to determine for itself if our insurance is adequate or not, and then (get this) buy insurance *on our behalf* and *charge us for it* and there is nothing we can do about that process.

I never gave this company permission to do any such thing, of course, but in every document you sign with anyone you give permission somewhere in the fine print for their "agents" to do whatever they want to. That allows Chase, which is a rather reputable company (for a bank, that is) to decide to allow Fly-by-Night Insurance to use their name and extort their customers at will. How can this be okay?

I have been dealing with this same BS inadequate proof of homeowner insurance with both Chase and Bank of America. Now that I have sold one of the two homes I owned, I am only dealing with Chase. I have owned this home that Chase owns the Mortgage on for over 7 years. I have been insured with the same agent since the beginning. About 4 years ago, I they changed my policy to reflect the fact that the home was no longer owner occupied. Chase has been collecting escrow money for 7 years and had to pay the same insurance policy for 4 years. Every year the policy bill has been $1, 200. This year, the bill was due on May 22 as indicated on my Chase escrow statement. Chase, who has changed its insurance department name, chose to WAIT for a bill from the insurance company which they have had on file for 4 years. When the bill did not reach them because (insert one the following reasons here: the bill was never sent to them by the existing homeowner insurance company - least likely scenario-, the bill did not reach them as a result of their name change, they received the bill but chose to set it aside because they are scammers who make money off of selling overpriced insurance policies to homeowners who already have a policy that is in good standing until Chase ignores the renewal bills...), they contacted me, not the insurance company, to whine that they did not have proof of insurance... Upon asking them why they could just go ahead and send a $1, 200 payment to the insurance company of record they claimed that they had to know the exact amount they needed to pay and needed the bill. My insurance agent faxed the bill (keep in mind that the bill was already mailed and then it got faxed to them at the number they provided). 6 days later, to make sure this whole thing was taken care of, I called Chase to ask for a proof of payment after seeing no activity on my escrow statement. The Chase employee I talked to claimed that they still had no bill and they still could issue no payment... I was so fed up with their crap that I initiated a three-way conference with my insurance agent and I now see that the payment was FINALLY issued by Chase out of my escrow account... It is amazing how complicated they make a very simple process! Fraud it is for sure!

If you're saying you were late with a payment (and this seems to be what you're saying) then you would of course not qualify for the very best loan package. I think these subsidiaries of Chase cruise around asking people if they'd like to refinance, but then it's often a case of "oh no, you don't qualify, " and then they move on. I'm shocked that they would offer to refinance a loan for a 72-year-old. That doesn't make sense from a statistical point of view. But I don't see any fraud here, or anything that indicates you were "screwed" in any way. You simply did not qualify.

My loan was sold to chase by Citibank, January 2009. I am 72 yrs old. Was contacted by Brian & then Jamie of Chase mortgage to refinance my mortgage in April. Did all the necessary paper work. Was told in the middle of May that the underwriters had declined my refinance. Stating that FHA would not back my loan, because I was 2 days out of the montyh with the March payment. I am still working and pay my $1993.70 payment, my taxes and homeowners insurance, and late payment is included in that amount. It takes one paycheck and a portion 1/4th of my S.S. check to pay this amount. I have other household bills like everyone else. Called to talk to represenitive in the home modification program and was told that I don't qualify.
I have no savings. Thank you President Obama for using our money to bail out the banks and for screwing the homeowners in this country. Nancy

That is horrible, Target. From my research it looks like Chase is outsourcing a lot of its functions. Chase Home Finance LLC is apparently a boiler room operation somewhere which also sells insurance. Chase have hired them (and allowed them to use the Chase name) to ostensibly check to make sure existing customers have adequate insurance, but that's like letting the fox guard the hen house. This company has no interest in finding that customers have adequate insurance, and there are some nightmare stories online for anyone who cares to look for them. At one point we were told our "verbal indication of adequate insurance was fine, " but then when we suspected that statement and wanted to get it in writing it turned out that suddenly no one by the name the person had given us worked there. That is nothing but a sleazy operation, and Chase proper does not care. They simply do not care at all. We've written to many people at the legitimate, actual Chase bank but it all gets forwarded to Chase customer service, who don't give a rat's behind.

I suspect the same kind of thing is happening in your case. It sure sounds like another example of Chase outsourcing credit checks and then not caring enough to stand by their statements. I'm appalled that a huge institution like Chase does not care about its customers to this degree, and also that they do not seem to realize what this is doing to their reputation, which - like that of all banks today - was already circling the drain. You'd think banks would be trying harder, not slacking off.

We are actually very good customers, and not two weeks before our own nightmare started with Chase Home Finance another branch of Chase called us asking if we'd like to refinance and lower our rates. It turned out to be a decent deal but not really worth the trouble, and the guys could not answer some simple questions we had, so we didn't do it. But here we are, such good customers that they are actually offering us lower rates out of the blue, and yet they also treat us like illegal aliens at the same time.

We finally got a letter stating that our insurance was adequate, but the letter also asked us to send them a copy of our insurance policy every year. I don't know who these people really are, and I don't send personal information to strangers. I've also read that they can use the information they find on the insurance cover sheet for more scams, and there are many claims that they've done this in the past. So I guess we'll go through this same idiocy next year, and the year after. What fun it is to be a responsible adult.

We were out during some of this time and some of these were logged in on the caller id - so it logs in the last id.in addition, they have sued us under chase usa - I don't know the difference. is there anything we can do?

jp morgan chase has repeatly called my work and my cell phone after me asking them nuberous times not to call my work any and to only call my cell after 5pm they are saying payment hasnt been made and i have a canceled check to prove that it has well today [protected] the account rep calls my work and i tell him again not to call my job he keeps asking me questions i work in a Doctors office and every one in the office hears the conversation i was sent home after i finally hung the phone up of course i was to upset to work and phone was totally uncalled for

i am a collector and i know how you think that they hang up but when your on an automated dialing system sometimes we get dead air on our side so they are not doing it on purpose i dont know why they even bother to use those things. and i hate to break it to you but they can call every 30 min and can call only 7 times a day no more. you can send a cease and desist letter to them and they have to stop

I agree with the chase reps calling alot back to back.Some of them will play on your phone, which I can not understand since some of the calls are recorded.I will be afraid to call someones house and hang up, without leaving a message as to why I am calling.I quess they have to have so many calls in ahour or they will get in trouble so they just call and hang up.We are in a recession and it looks like the banks got a bailout but not the tax payers to be able to pay some of there bills, or if you lose your job, however if 80 percent of the united states taxpayers lose there jobs how are we going to pay are bills and anyother creditors we owe.If our phone gets turned off how would you be able to just harass us for 8hours.Then you will lose your job and be in the same boat.

I have a loan with chase auto finance (A huge nightmare) that I have paid faithly each month for 2 1/2 years.
Just recently I ran into a financial hardship and fell behind on my payments. I contacted chase to tell them about my hardship and they told me if I made a payment by the 20th of the month they could help me and put 2mths on the backend of my loan but I would have to make my payment first. I agreed, and thanked them for working with me.

I called back to make sure they received my payment, they said yes, and than I asked about putting the two payments on the back-end of my loan as they promised. Much to my surprised I was informed they could not do that and proceeded to tell me I was delinquent and needed to pay the past due balance immediately. After talking with 2 representatives they finally agreed to submit the paperwork to the supervisor for review and told me to call back in 2 days, worst case if I did not get approved for two months they could give me one month.

I received a call the next day from chase (After they took the money out of my account) telling me I was seriously past due and needed to make a $3, 000 payment now. I asked the girl why she was calling me I already made a payment and was suppose to call them back in 2 days to see if I was approved for a 2 month payment deferral.

She said I did not qualify and I needed to bring my account current. I preceeded to tell her that chase lied just to get me to make a payment and had no intention of helping me. I repeated that they lied and I asked for a supervisor (What a mistake)... On hold for 5mins than mr. Hunter answered and proceeded to tell me the same thing... I was seriously past due and they needed a payment of $3, 000 now. I told him they lied and trick me into believing they would put the payments on the backend of my loan and I recorded what they said which opened up another can of worms, he stated it is illegal to record anything without our authorization, they are wrong. You can take handwritten notes of the conversation.

Long story short if I do not come up with the $3, 000 payment "now" theywill take my vehicle. I am 32days past due on one payment and 5 days past due on the 2nd payment. If they would agree to one payment on the back-end that would help but they have no intention of helping at all and just want the car...In this economy a luxury will not sell for anything, oh I forgot they send you a bill for the difference.

It's unbelievable to me how I was treated and their practices should be illegal.

I posted this on another thread but thought you might be interested. Similiar story;

Horror Stories galore about Chase Auto Finance. Worst thing that ever happened to me was when my car loan was sent to Chase through a dealer.

I purchased my car in 2006. I made 26 payments on time (it was due on the 1st and if the office did not have it by the second the phone started ringing and ringing and ringing). I am in the Real Estate industry and my income became reduced. At this point I was on a first name basis with the local chase office becuase they called me so many times. In September I did not have a payment to give. I asked if they would defer a couple of payments and they said no. I asked if they would take a partial payment and they said no. I got behind and was 30 days for a couple of months. By November I was 45 days and told them I could get current if they gave me a week. (I am commisioned and do not get a steady income stream)

One day I get a call from someone saying that they are detective so and so and they are coming to get the car. I called Chase and explained to the rep that I had made an arrangement with somone in the office to become current the following week. The rep yelled at me and wanted to know where the vehicle was. I told her it was at my house she called me a liar and said I had abandoned my home. (huh?)...there was no talking to this lady and she threatened to call the sherrifs department and have me arrested. At this point I was freaked out.

I cleared my stuff out of the car and they came and got it.

I went into the office the next day and spoke to the manager and she calculated that I owed over 3 thousand dollars in fees. (at this point I owed $1000 which I could have payed in a couple of days. I have no idea where this 3K amount came from but I was tired of fighting with them. I ended up purchasing a used car the next week for 2000 just to get around and chalked the whole experiance up to Chase as a bad situation.

About a month later I get a call from an attorney that stated they were looking to resolve the deficancy. They said I owed them 17K which I thought was high but I told them I could not pay and I was sorry but if Chase was interested in resolving it they could have worked with me...especially after they had recieved 25 billion in tarp money for there bailout. The attorney stated that if I did not pay up they would sue me and garnish my wages.

I did not hear from them again for about 4 months and then 2 weeks ago I was in bed at 10:30 at night reading and someone comes to my door. I get up and answer it and it is someone from Chase serving me with a lawsuite. (lady claimed to be an officer of the court and she may have been but ironicly she knew everyone via first name at the local Chase Auto Finance office)

The lawsuite alleges that I broke the contract (which I did becuase of my financial hardship) and that I owed 20K+ for the loan...(26 payments later and w/ my car being sold at auction on a 20K loan) They also added 6K for atty fees.

I contacted a lawyer and he advised me to file BK. When I explained the whole story he told me that there were a plethora of banking regs that had most likely been broken but unfortunately the cost of fighting the lawsuit was not worth the risk. He also mentioned that Chase was the worst offender and has a horrid reputation within the BK circles of backing customers against the wall and not working through issues.

I filed for BK this week.

If Chase would have worked with me I probably could have resolved this situation. I would have had some dings on my credit but I would have worked through it. Chase would have been paid and everything could have worked out fine. Becuase Chase was so combative and inflexible all that has been accomplished in that I am in BK and they are going to lose about 15K in what I owed them.

Meanwhile the government has given Chase 25 BILLION dollars in bailout money. Chase can not work with me and defer a couple of payments? Show a little compasion or buisness sense? Like I said...If I had a little bit of help I could have avoided this whole issue but they forced my hand on this.

Amazing...truly amazing. I would do anything to get a class action lawsuit started against these guys.

JPMorgan Chase negative business practices

I have been a Chase credit card customer for the past year and have been prompt in paying my bills to ensure that I do not pay “late fees” or “interest on balances”. I have had some past issues with the receipt of my credit card statements and have resorted to using monthly Outlook reminders to pay my credit card bills.

The usual due-date on this card around 23rd and 24th of the month. Imagine my shock when I logged to pay my bill today (21 April 2009) and to find out that Chase has sneakily shifted my payment due date to 20th of April – effectively charging me $39 as late fees. I called Chase’s customer service number to get an explanation. I spoke to one of their customer service representatives, April, who was ignorant, rude and argumentative. She was adamant that the late fees were valid because it was my fault and that Chase would not reverse any late fees regardless of the reasons. I was outraged with this plain day-light robbery and asked to speak to her supervisor. She transferred me to a supervisor, John. John was equally as useless as he sounded like he was reading a script and he gave me the usual policy nonsensical explanation that it is Chase’s policy to not reverse late fees (regardless of the reason). It cannot be the customers fault when Chase revises the customer’s payment due date without informing the customer in advance.

At any rate, after a few choice words, I had John cancel my Chase affiliated credit card. It is appalling to see a multinational financial service organization like JP Morgan Chase stooping to such underhand tactics to make $39 from a customer. It is also unacceptable that Chase would have such a sub-standard customer service team, without an ounce customer service ability in their approach.

It is interesting to see that in times where some financial giants have fallen to the wayside, that Chase has chosen this way to make a quick buck by robbing and alienating their customers and as a consequence send them to Bank of America, Wells Fargo and Citigroup. I do not forsee Chase surviving past the decade if they keep us these negative business practices without any consideration for their customers.

I am in complete agreement with the other posts about the customer service at Chase. I called to speak with a representative in the US today regarding my credit card, and was told that there was no specific number I could be transferred to in the US. They said I would have to keep calling back until I got routed to the US. Are you serious?! They were lying too because I've been transferred before. I attempted calling 3 times and got India twice and the Philippines once.

I tried to speak with one of the representatives in India, but he spoke to me as if I was an idiot. I give up. I guess Chase really doesn't care if it's customers are being taken care of or not. I've never had such horrific service from any other credit card! Once my card is paid I will never do business with Chase again in any way. I'm completely fed up!

JPMorgan Chase robin white

I am writing this complaint to dispute a credit card. I apply for a loan with my bank and the bank send me a denial letter. I did not know why so I went on line and check my credit, their was a past due amount of 6224 dollars on my credit report.I got the number off the credit report to company, so I call the company and ask why did I have a past due of 6224 on my credit. They ask for my ss# to check their record, my name came up and nothing else no balance their no proof on no balance but still it on my credit report. I have never had or used this credit card. What can I do get this off my credit report.

JPMorgan Chase rude/offensive manager

I went into chase bank today on 198 logan st. Noblesville, in46060. My wife and my account were compromised. Somebody from australia charged our account with over 3 thousand dollars worth of charges. This in turn, took our account to the negative. I went in to close it after the fraud protection kicked in, because I didn't want it to happen again in the future. When I asked to close my account, the guy helping us, pretty much told us I had to contact the original person I talked to to get some money reinstated to my account. All I did was call chase's phone number and talked to the first person that would talk to me. So how and the hell could I find the representative who talked to me 2 months back? So I got angry with the guy and stormed out to get my cell phone so I could talk to a representative in front of the guy. As I was reaching for my phone, the guy came out and told me to never come back again. For slamming a door? Of course I was angry with them, but slamming the door to show my level of frustration does not deserve some fat guy telling me im "kicked out" when I thought it was all over he added to it, by pulling out his cop badge. I dont know if he was trying to intimidate me or what, surely a fat guy with glasses working as a bank manager part-time and a cop part time, doesnt really intimidate me. But its the fact that he was trying to be the bigger man and telling me what to do, when to do it that is completely unacceptable. This is a huge problem for our law enforcement just because you are government owned, doesnt mean you can do whatever the hell you want. I just hope by writing this report on him will get him to think about how to treat someone next time.

You realize you acted like a 3 yr old? Any business has the right to not provide service to someone who is disgruntled. You ofcourse were, you should be embarrassed for how you acted. Carried on any longer and you could have probaly been charged with terroristic threat or harrassment depending on what else you did or said. Chill out

JPMorgan Chase pay account off then they close it

I became unemployed and was late on paying. I told them I was not able to make payment at this time. Once I was employed I paid the account in full after I was told the card would be activated again. After paying the total amount of $800+ they closed the account. I called to discuss and someone from the Phillipines answered and was hard to understand so I spoke to someone else. I was given no resolution at all and now I called the CEO of the company to file a complaint. I hope I will hear someting soon

JPMorgan Chase terrible customer service

Wow.. Is all I can say about the terrible customer service provided by chase credit card services!

I just returned from a trip to asia. Before I had left, I called chase let them know I would be using their card overseas.

I was gone for a total of three weeks. Midway through my trip, I was trying to check into a hotel in taiwan (It was approx. 9:00 pm). When I gave them my card, they said it was declined. I called the chase customer service number to get it resolved so I could check into the hotel.

When I called the customer service number, they answered the phone by saying "thank you for calling chase customer care, this is xxxx. We are in the process of upgrading our systems so we will not be able to access your account. Please call back after 2:00 pm est".

I thought this was a recording and said "um.. Hello?". The customer service rep. Responded by repeating the pervious statement.

I told her that I needed to speak to someone immediately because I needed to figure out what was going on with my card so I could get checked into the hotel. She said there was nothing she could do and for me to call back after 2:00 pm est. This would be have been 6 hours later!

I was so mad! I told her I needed to speak to a supervisor. When the supervisor came on the phone, she repeated the exact same message.

So... I was stuck in a foreign country with no credit card and no way to get into my hotel. Thank god! I called my personal bank and was able to apply for a credit card through them over the phone to check into my hotel. Otherwise, I would have been screwed.

I completely agree. They are the worst company ever in terms of customer service. I just found out they reduced my credit limit on one of my credit cards by $4000. The credit limit was originally $8000 and has been for years. It was fine when that card was close to being maxed out, and I was paying them loads of interest every month. But I recently was able to make a large payment on that account and bring my balance to $0. A month later they decided to slice my credit limit in half. And every Customer Service Rep I talked to today (including 2 so-called supervisors) just repeated the same information over and over like robots. I'm considering cutting up every single one of my Chase cards and closing my Chase checking because of the awful customer service. They are TERRIBLE!

I agree that the customer service at Chase is horrible. When I called to address a letter I recieved, closing my account, for no apparent reason, I was told that there was nothing they could do about it. The representative repeated the same phrase over and over again, regardless of what I said. When I asked to speak with a supervisor, I was told I could not. The representative eventually gave in and I was allowed to speak with a supervisor, who repeated the exact same thing over and over. I asked to speak with someone higher up and was again told I could not. The supervisor stated that it was her job to "handle" me and that I could not speak to anyone else.

Wow, I can see why you would be extremely upset with your chase customer service. We are usually forced to use that scripting when our systems are being updated or are down due to storms or system errors. If this happens agian or if you even still have your chase card, try calling different customer service numbers. Theres a good chance you'll get to a different part of the country that isnt having issues. I'll put some numbers below you can call that will get you to Chases credit card services.

JPMorgan Chase unjustifiable late fees

Most recently, I got a statement from Chase Card Services for the period of 2/5/09-3/4/09, the due date was 3/29/29 and the balance was $82.12. I mailed my check and the statement for the following period showed the payment was received on March 13th, but my balance is now $1 of Finance Charge.
Before this, Chase cards slapped on finance charge another time even though payment had been done in time.
And before that, Chase cards sent me the new card but never the statements after that. When I called, they said the statements got returned to them due to wrong address and it was my responsibility to call and check how much I owed and paid in time in that case. By the time I called, they had made $100+ of interest charge. The address wasn't wrong initially as I did get the card and so why was it no longer valid when it was the time to send the statement?

I recommend against getting a credit card from Chase and avoiding at all cost getting a loan from them as they may suck all the $$ out of you till you die.

JPMorgan Chase mis-informed of total refinance costs

I called Chase Mortgage to see about refinancing and the loan officer told me in order to lock in a rate I had to pay a $750 non refundable application fee. I said I have been a Chase customer with my current loan and always on time for its entirety and never heard of such a thing as a non refundable application fee. He said I would get that credired at closing. I asked what my total refinance cost would be and he told me. It seemed to work with what I would save a month so I said okay. The actual paper work of the application showed up and the loan officer had failed to tell me about all the other costs. Now it would be double what he told me on the phone. So, I called and e-mailed saying I was not going to put in the application and not going to sign anything. Please refund my $750. Despite emails to him and his supervisors above they have not responded nor credited me my $750. Looks like Chase is at it again. Has anyone else been getting duped?

We had a similar experience with the exception of a NEW twist added by the Chase underwriter. Since I was the owner of a C-corporation, they treated it like a DBA. Even though I was drawing a monthly salary, paying taxes, etc. They went even further by demanding 2 years corporate taxes and personal taxes. In the end we were denied and lost our $750 dollar because the underwriter deducted the business loss from our annual income therefore resulting in a substantially lower annual income. There has to be some form of retribution from this type of fraudulent activity.
