JPMorgan Chase bad customer service from claim dept

On 01/04/11 they credit me $802.00 for my account for my credit due to debit card dispute. Also credit me for od fee, refund nsf fee. Two days later they did a reverse credit nsf fee, and a reverse credit od fee. I did a claim on t-mobile that why I call the claim office. I also complete the claim form online line, and receive the money the next day. I took the money off the card that day. On 01/06/11 I call the customer service check my account and told me I was $592.02 in the negative. I ask them why will you credit me $802.00 and than say a own them $592.02. I think not fair to the customer I think should do investigation first so you will not make any mistake. I feel I should not have pay no the $592.02. I talk supervisor about the problem still was not resolve. I ask the supervisor for the corporate office number he said can't give me that number. So i with online and was able to get our information our name, phone number and email address. Can you please help me to get $592.02 back to my account thank you very much in advance

Dear jp morgan banking representative,

In reference to the statements I requested on 12-jan-11. I am disputing all of the highlighted charges and fees to the tune of $2, 248.49. If you will notice all of these charges are via the internet.

I am a single disabled woman of 57 years on a fixed income. I only receive $1, 300.00 per month disability payments from social security. Once again I have been victimized by the system. I do not spend my allotted funds to play games on fachasebook or order unnecessary junk on the internet.

Yahoo canceled access to my account even to me sighting: & ldquo;password compromised”. I guess it is almost like closing the barn door after the horse has been stolen, but I was unaware of the problem. When this discrepancy was brought to my attention I immediately changed me password and contacted you. On january 12, 2011 I requested that you cancel my chase check card and send me a print out of all activity on my account beginning october 1 & ndash; thru & ndash; january 12, 2011.

In have been in and out of the hospital. Suffering with cardiac infraction, asthma, chronic back pain, and depression. Poor physical and mental impairment kept me from tending to my finances. With plenty of rest and counseling I am back and able to fight this travesty with every breath in my body.

As soon as I received the print out I reviewed it and found $2, 248.49 in bogus charges. I am officially disputing these charges and demand you redeposit my funds back into my account. I do not have money to fritter away on unnecessary incidentals.

Please contact me at your earliest convince to help me solve this matter.
You can reach me at: [protected]) or 19783 coyle * detroit, mi 48235

Sincerely;

Ginger fernandez

JPMorgan Chase payment policy

Did not recieve my mortage bill in December, missed payment realizing I would need to catch up in January. Never recieved a Jan bill, was called one night at 8:50 pm and left a message by 800 chase number, called right back but told not business hours. Called the next day during business hours (asked to input last 4 digits of SS#) told at 10 am, not business hours, so went into local branch and showed the loan officer this problem. He looked perplexed called branch manger and she got me in. I asked why no statements were being mailed and was told they mail statements when they recieve payment. In other words, miss a payment, Chase stops sending bills. What happens when you miss paying other bills? You get a late payment notice, reminder etc. What if the mail loses your bill, I didn't recieve mine in Dec, who knows what happened, what if you're elderly and forgettful? This policy seems intended to just let you slip into foreclosure, also of interest was how they blocked me from the phone system and would not take my call, the system would tell me not business hours in the middle of the day, this was based on my ss#, so they filter calls, not taking some, based on what? What genious lawyer recommended this policy, this is intended to trap consumers in arrears and not assist them. Stop sending bills after one payment is missed. I was told this provision is in the small print, Chase assumed my loan and this was not the policy of the previous lender. Very suspicious behavior will ill intent clearly the motivation, is it legal? Is it covered in the fine print? Maybe so, is it ethical and in the best interest of the consumer, in the spirit of assisting troubled consumers in tough times or predatory? This home has less than 4 years of payment left on the loan, wouldn't Chase love to assume that loan in a foreclosure! Four days now after I paid the last two months off, they gave me a reciept yet have not processed the check, now what are they up to?

If you have a history of making on time payments, then you should have remembered to make your payment even if you didnt get a bill.

I have to agree! Whether you recieve a bill or not the payment is due! Your home is your home and very important how can you just forget because you didn't recieve a bill. Sounds lazy to me.

JPMorgan Chase false advertisement

This company sold me a car they falsely advertised online. They told me both timing belt and all other belts on my car were replaced at 83, 000 miles. I have the advertisement from their website as proof with the owner's number right on it. I have since been the owner of this car for 3 months in which every bit of the car has needed repairs, not normal wear and tear repairs mind you. I have since replaced the transmission, all brakes and rotors, both wheel bearing assemblies, both tie-rod ends, both axles, and the thermostat. On top of this, the car I purchased does NOT even have a timing belt, it has a timing chain, which has never been replaced, and the serpentine belt and supercharger belt were NEVER replaced! NEVER EVER EVER PURCHASE A CAR FROM THESE SCAM ARTISTS! I will have my day in court with them but I would NEVER wish this on anyone! What trouble I have gone through to have a safe vehicle!

Terrible experience also, deceptive ads on Ebay with pictures that do not match the car. They try and sell outside of Ebay and deliver a car that is clearly not what is advertised knowing you are states away.

Those two losers are the lowest ### of the earth. Lying scam artists. I hope more people come forward, I think what Chase Auto Group needs is to be put out of business. Stop buying their crappy cars. No one in this economy wants to waste money first on buying a car and then on fixing every possible thing that could be wrong with it! Get your money back from these lying lowlife people and RUN!

JPMorgan Chase mortgage scam

I ALWAYS make my mortgage payment via online banking. For Dec and Jan the payment was rejected by Chase for no valid reason. My bank (BofA) noted Chase did not accepted payment. Because the money was taken out of my account, I assumed it was paid. I received letters claiming my mortgage was in default. As soon as I was made aware, I paid WITH FEES the 2 months balance. Please note, it still shows January's payment as processed. It has affected my credit. BUT BUT BUT, here is the kicker. The SAME THING HAS HAPPENED TO A CO-WORKER OF MINE. It was in Dec. and he is at risk of loosing his house because the payment was not accepted. I thought it was a fluke with me, but now I think it's a scam Chase has to collect additional fees.

I've submitted all documentation to Chase. I'm not comfortable submitting here as it has my bank account info. But, I can definitely everything. Supposedly will hear something in 5 business days. I just want to alert anyone else who might have the same issues.

JPMorgan Chase yoga commercial is ignorant

I was working out today and thought how dumb that Chase commercial is where the woman is attending a yoga class and has her smart phone on in the class and stoops down to make a bank overdraft transaction during a pose. Any one who has ever attended a yoga class, and there are millions, knows that we turn out cell phones off out of courtesy for others and do not distract ourselves during a yoga class. It obvious the agency that did this commercial never attended a yoga class and has no respect for yoga, except to make a commercial. A little, even the bare minimum, of research would have helped.

I think this commercial is fantastic; it's great for highlighting yoga as a mainstream practice, great for laughs, and great for getting the point across about how effective/easy it is to manage a Chase account. What's there to complain about? Don't be offended, it's just advertising. And sure they did take some creative leeway, but that's there job, to be creative!

I bet that the creative genius behind this ad has been to many yoga classes. I am a yoga teacher, have taught over 1000 classes and seen everything from a student knoting themselves up trying to mimic one of the more pretzely students to a student actually texting in class (literally, just last week, she was 16 and texting her mom when to pick her up). Of course instructors do the best we can to create distraction free environments where we encourage students to focus on theselves, but life happens. It's all a journey and someone might not be where you are in your journey. The beauty of this fact is that it allows us to have more patience and tolerence.

I hope you smile the next time you see or even think of that commercial. Mostly because nothing is worth frowning or even complaining about!

Does anyone have a link to that Chase commercial? Want to post it on some friends' walls!

JPMorgan Chase incompetence at chase

I leased a Subaru through Chase Auto Finance. Had my payments taken directly from my bank account. Never had a statement or other notification from Chase the entire time of the lease. My carbon copy of lease document shows 47 months on lease. At the time I made the agreement the salesman at the dealership had discussed a 36, 42, 48 month lease or a 60 month purchase. I left thinking I had a 48 month lease. All payments were made timely, my last payment was made December 8, 2010, payment due date was December 10th, next payment due January 10, 2010. December 31st I found a repo man in my driveway trying to take the car! I provided him with bank statements showing timely payment and a copy of my lease agreement. He left the car. I should note that other than the first statement issued one month after signing the lease agreement I have not had any written or verbal contact from Chase regarding my lease or instructions concerning the process I needed to follow at the completion of the same. At the time Chase attempted to repo the car I was in the process of securing a long-term loan to buy the car, still having heard squat from Chase. I called the number provided by repo company and began the Chase run-around (seems this institution is aptly named) I was told that a rep, DeShawn, had tried to contact me and I needed to speak to her. Not so... my phone log indicated NO incoming calls from Chase and her voicemail simply told me to leave a message and she would return the call in 24 to 48 hours. Methinks 14 days is longer than 48 hours, but who knows! Long story short, payoff check was sent January 4, 2011 per Chase instructions. Chase indicated they would send the title 7 business days after receipt of payoff. No one at Chase can find the payment! The payment processing center doesn't talk to the vehicle recovery center and DeShawn doesn't talk to anyone (her 48 hours are still running). I faxed a copy of the check issued by my credit union to their "Recovery" department. Now they want my credit union to stop payment and re-issue a new check. Credit union says Chase is the worst! They sometimes take 30 days to process payment and release the title. I am just waiting for the repo man to show up at my doorstep again. I have called Chase twice a day since the 4th of January hoping to get someone to acknowledge that I have paid timely and that they are in the process of releasing title. No one knows anything. Warning! AVOID CHASE AT ALL COSTS! My next letter is to Subaru 's CEO!

Re: Mica1755. Thanks for the input but I had beaten you to the draw on this one, having followed all the suggestions given at the FDIC website. My thought on Subaru was that they (Subaru Motors) obviously have an arrangement with Chase Bank for auto leases and should be aware of some of the problems consumers are having. That's all, didn't expect it to go far..the mouse vs. the elephant thing. My biggest problem was that I couldn't get anyone at Chase to listen or follow through. However, I have to say there is a happy ending. I was contacted today by a REAL person from Chase, who was able to resolve the problem with a little research and a few phone calls. She was extremely courteous and didn't delay in resolving the matter. She verified receipt of my payoff payment and the title to the vehicle is being sent overnight via FedExpress. So, thanks to Complaintsboard.com and to Mary L. at Chase for helping resolve this matter.

JPMorgan Chase discimination

I have been unemployed for two years. I began to receive unemployment benefits from the State of Arizona in June 2009. These benefits, which were well deserved after 10 years of continuous employment with a major insurance carrier, are distributed by means of a JP Morgan Chase debit card. Today, I found that they will now charge a 25 cent fee each time I call the Customer Service number on the back of my card to check my balance. Furthermore, I am locked out of the www.myaccount.chase.com website.
I have tried multiple means to contact someone at Chase to unlock my web access. Every representative I've spoken with had started the call professionally, but became uncaring and in my opinion, discriminatory once they found that I am receiving unemployment benefits. According to an unnamed Supervisor at Personal Accounts Customer Service; [protected], Chase does not service Debit Cards distributed by third parties. I then Called the Online Banking number also listed on Chase's website; [protected], then explained my situation. Debra, a Technical Advisor told me that the "normal" Chase representatives cannot help those with debit cards provided by third parties (even though these are Chase issued cards accepted at their ATM's and recognized as Chase Visa cards for purchases). So Debra, whose demeanor was such that I was irritating her, provided another number for technical assistance for Chase.com domain internet related problems: [protected]. I hung up and followed Debra's advice and called the number, entered my card number and was immediately charged 25 cents which I was trying to avoid in the first place.
This number is simply a re-direct to the number on the back of my card that offers no technical assistance and now charges 25 cents for each inquiry into my account. Now I am 3 cents overdraft due to Chase’s negligence and I cannot check my balance without driving to an ATM.
Dear reader of this complaint. You are probably balking at my issues over the small amount of money involved, the disrespect towards me by Chase employees simply because I am unemployed and this newly created fee. But I've been out of work for a long time after having a 60k income for a decade. I get food and clothing for my children and myself from shelters. My Unemployment benefits do not even cover my bills. So, with this said. I count each and every penny very carefully. How can this supposedly responsible financial institution treat common people so unjustly; more discriminatory than race, which is a violation of state and federal law.
You would think they would support those who have fallen into bad times to help them climb back into normality and to be active consumers; not to mention providing members of the community. I've tried to be nice in this note, but in a few words that will not be the case: The institution of JP Morgan Chase is made up of discriminating Crooks, Thieves and Liars with their only interest being that benefitting themselves at the cost and hardship of the communities for which they falsely promote honestly and the American way.
I don't know if this letter will help me or other for whom Chase has taken advantage of, but at least I tried.
Sincerely,
Todd R. Stahl

JPMorgan Chase refusal to modify my loan

We applied for a loan modification on our first loan with Chase (which was not by our choice but only because they bought out WAMU). It took a year and we were denied because "the mortgage holder refused", this would be Freddie Mac (sp?). We had never been late on our first or second (HE) mortgages. After the application process started, my husband was laid off for 5 months. We depleted our savings and 1 1/2 yrs later we are now late on our second mortgage. I have actually been in tears begging for assistance from anyone BEFORE it got to this point. NOW they are finally willing to modify our second mortgage. I keep asking them to speak to their "short pay dept. or consumer advocate" and they ignore my requests. If anyone out there knows a direct # at chase to call, plmk. I am so frustrated with these people and cannot wait to get my credit back so I can dump them.

My husband and I have been trying to buy a home in the La Grange, California area since March 2009. We found a house with acreage that we both loved. Since we are Chase customers, we decided to apply for a mortgage loan with Chase. Chase pre-approved us for $180, 000. The house was within this limit and we were paying 20% down. We thought that it would be smooth sailing.

We were scheduled to close on May 15, 2009. May 15th came and went without a decision. We filed for 2 extensions of escrow, then we were finally told that the house was atypical and the "comps" used by the appraiser were not adequate. The house was a 1900 Sq. Ft. round house on a 2.5 acre lot. They could not compare it to traditional rectangular homes with similar square footage and acreage because it was round.

We finally gave up on this property and found another house down the street from the round house. The second house was selling for $20, 000 less than the first property. Once again we did not meet the closing date and have filed for 2 extension of escrow.
In the meantime our original loan officer no longer works for Chase, and our loan work has been move to Grants Pass, OR which is 3 hours away from where we currently live. Now we are hearing that once again their underwriters are having issues with the "comps". They didn't like the adjustments that the appraiser made. The Grants Pass office tried to get a waiver on the appraisal but that was shot down. Now we are approaching the end of the 2nd escrow extension with no resolution.

The funny part of this is the home we are attempting to buy is a Wamu/Chase foreclosure. They already own this property and their underwriters can't approve a reasonable loan so they can move this property.

When this loan falls through, will be closing our accounts with Chase and finding a bank that is more in tune with the needs of their customers.

I have two mortgages with Chase. My payments have always been on time. In March/April of this year, I had to have an escrow account set-up to pay my taxes and insurance because I was unemployed. This caused my mortage payment to double. I contacted Chase to see if the escrow payments could be spread out further and they did a month later. But for the time being, I had this doubled mortgage payment that I could not make. I started working in June and I sent in what I could for the mortgage payment. I called Chase at least twice to see if there was a payment plan that I could be set up to get my payments up to date. I was always told that there was not. Finally, I spoke to another representative on 9/18/09 that told me that I could and we set up the payments. On today, October 8, 2009, I received a voicemail to contact Chase. I did so and was connected with Myra, who by the way was very, very rude. She was apparently in Home Retention. She was calling about the balance of $3, 713.96 for my mortgage. I told her that I had made a payment arrangement to pay off this balance and she blatantly told me that I was lying. I asked her to check the system and she told me that she could not do anything without a confirmation number, which I was not provided when I set up the payment arrangement. Because I kept getting the run-a-round from Chase, I asked her to send me something on paper about setting up a payment arrangement. She kept telling me that "it's in your contract". I explained the whole situation to her and how I been giving conflicting information by Chase representatives. She was rude and insisted on me giving her my banking information. I told her to listen because I had something to say and I hung up the phone on her. Chase is the worst in history. I thought that Countrywide was bad, but they absolutely take the cake. I am going to send this to every complaint board and government agency (although I don't think they care either) that I can. I am even thinking about contacting local news channels.

BEWARE OF CHASE! we experinced similar problems. we were 'prequalified' were assured we DID qualify. multiple delays, for over 6 months. finally set for closing and charged for apprasial.( apprasier did not meet chase's OWN requirments and we were not able to get chase to hear our request for different apprasier). end result: no closing, notified that our 'status had been changed to REJECTED' for credit WITH LESS THAN A WEEK BEFORE CLOSING. could go on and on but enough! we applied to local credit union. approved and ready to close in less than a month. the kicker is that our mortgage has been with chase for 4 yrs. BEWARE OF CHASE... I wouldn't trust them as far as i could throw a dead cat.

JPMorgan Chase interest rate of 29.9

I am the owner of two businesses. I use my chase credit card. I am late a couple of times but not 0f 30. I have about 60 plus employees. I have been zapped by your 29.9 % interest. In the past 12 months I've payed over $4, 500 in interest and only a little over $1, 500 went on balance. Which is $14 k. You are ripping the public off and it's painful. During these tough times people use these sources for money. Chase Bank uses these tough times to rip off the customers, while chase take 25 billion in tax payers money. lower those rates on people who are having a tough time please.

JPMorgan Chase incompetence and time wasting

We almost lost our contract on our home along with the earnest money twice working with Chase Mortgage. The employees that work for that company are completely incompetent. They asked us an average of three times for five sets of documents they already had in their possession. They fail to respond to emails in a timely manner. If we emailed them at 10 AM CT they would respond the next day. This should have been a sign of their lack of customer service but oh no, we wanted that $500 cash back each year on the mortgage. We were also warned by our friends not to do business with them for a mortgage. They told us we would get the run around and then in the end get nothing or just more running around and "busy work". Another friend that refinanced with them also said that it took her a very long time to "seal the deal" with them. It really sickens me that our tax dollars went for this company to get a bail out and they treat their customers this way.

In the end we spent 60 days in loan processing for a home with their final outcome as a denial based on how they incorrectly calculate debt to income ratio. We were $100 over the debt allowance each month...$100! They denied us an FHA. I will never, ever do business with Chase again. We are going with another bank. Hopefully $100 over will not make or break a deal with that bank especially when we have never been late on any of credit cards.

There should be some type of penalty they have to pay the people in which they have wasted their time, possible contract and earnest money. Please follow the advice we did not listen to...do not go with Chase.

Texas - if you didn't get involved with Chase consider yourself EXTREMELY lucky and run like h---! I've had my mortgage loan with Chase for almost 11 years and it has been a total nightmare! Avoid them and tell everyone you know to stay away from them. I'm sure they operate under illegal business practices and are robbing their customers blind.

JPMorgan Chase modification fraud

I have been in Mortgage hell with Chase (formally WAMU) for going on 6 years now. They double paid my taxes, totally screwed up my account and destroyed my credit. SIX years ! In a final attempt to save my home I applied for a Modification... 3 years ago! After monthly inquiries, sending the SAME information to them 6 times, never talking to the same person twice and me hounding them on a monthly basis for a decision on the modification I was finally told I was NOT approved because of 'numerous"reasons. I have a lawyer doing everything he can from keeping the Wolf at bay and stealing my house from me. In the meantime I have decided I am just TICKED enough to file a class action suit against these crooks! I know of three families just in a 6 block area that have the SAME bank doing the SAME thing to them. To file a class action we need at the minimum 10 complaintants! If you live in or near the Toledo, Ohio area and have been though a foreclosure or feel you too have been led on and ripped off by this bank please, PLEASE contact me via Email. If you have already lost your home to these crooks, again contact me via Email. I am NOT a lawyer! I am NOT trying to sell anything! I am NOT promising results! I need fellow complaintants to make this damn bank pay for their incompitance ! [protected]@bex.net. Try to briefly explain your situation and how long your particular issue hase been going on. TIME TO FIGHT BACK PEOPLE !

Yes I'm in the same boat. Chase did a modification for me. I was owing $500.000 for 30 years before, and after modification $720.00 for 40 years, if you have any ideas of what can be done about this, please let me know. email armabadu@yahoo.com

Chase Bank is took $1519.00 from my house payment and claimed it was for my taxes. They then proceeded to mark my payment as being late and tacked on late fees! Their excuse was that before my modification I owed back property taxes. I then responded by stating that the taxes were tacked on to the back of the loan as part or my loan modification on March 2013. In addition I also asked why they took such a large amount for my taxes the said thats what my taxes were. I live in Queen Creek Az my taxes are $734.00 annually not $1519.00. The rep then ended the call. I went to the assessors office and discovered that Chase Bank Has paid only $363.00 towards my taxes in October of 2013. They sent a private party to take a picture of my house and later received a call from a real estate sales person asking me if my house was still up for sale? Please people lets put the CEO in prison!

I have been going thru the same hell since May 2011, formally with WAMU. I have owned my home since 2001 and have always paid my taxes each yr, well this yr chase decides to pay them for me ( taxes where never included in loan agreement in 2001) now I owe this yr taxes and they want next yr in advanced raised payment an additional 130.00 per month I have sent in receipts and copy of checks that taxes where paid each yr. I thought it was against the law to change the structure of a loan? If a class action is filed please let me know. misswilder2004@yahoo.com

I ran into the same. 2 years of modification paperwork on my second mortgage. Sending docs multiple times. I was approved for modifcation and my payment went up! I called Customer service and they put me one a trial payment program which I paid on time. I was told twice on the phone I was approved but sent letters that I was not. There was an unexplainable amount of money I owed. I filed RESPA paperwork. I got a respo0nse the paperwork was recieved but no resolution. One letter that was sent stated I was not approved because it was not my Primary Mortgage. With some research I found out Chase(WaMu) were both participants in the Governemts 2MP program for second Mortgages. Even though I made all the trial payments for 3 months and was told to continue while my case was pending, they decided to charge off my loan the last day of the year which completely screwed my credit. I filed a complaint with the Mass Attorney General's Office on top of the RESPA paperwiork i files earlier.

Oh my gosh, I am not alone. I have been in the loan modification process for two years. I made trial payments on time every month and was just denied. Now they say I owe $9, 100 plus attorney fees because they filed foreclosure papers on us too. Now I am really worried. I have applied through NACA also. Just did that yesterday. No one will give me a straight answer as to why my modification was denied or what I can to to make it acceptable. They say they don't know and the investor is not required to participate in modification. The sad thing is I was current with my payments even 4 months into the modification process. I started making reduced payments at their instruction and did that for almost 2 years. Then they decide to deny it and now what? If anyone has any suggestions e-mail me at jwith001@neo.rr.com

Does anyone know how to file a class action or better yet, stop foreclosure from these crooks that have given me the run around for 2 years, accepted my loan, approved me for a Federal Modification 2 times, I made my trial payments 2 times. Then they returned my checks without an explanition. I have a personal tax lien attached to me, not to my home, that was on my record when they accepted my modifications. I am in foreclosure again. I do NOT want to loose my home, I have worked very diligently on my lien, I have a letter from my attorney to prove it. Because I live in a small community, both banks have denied my for a loan. It’s really hard to understand, runaway mindless corporate greed, I mean.
Take the recent revelation that J. P. Morgan Chase was found guilty of stealing from military servicemen and fraudulenty foreclosing on many of these military families in violation of the law.
Now, after my two-year ordeal with Chase, I can understand why Chase would cheat me as part of my Making Home Affordable Program application process. The federal guidelines are very extensive and in some areas very complex (the NPV test for example) making them that much easier to “game”. Being a senior it’s easy to understand how Chase, now a proven financial predator, would identify my wife and I as prime financial prey and “game” the HAMP guidelines to cheat us out of a fair modification. After all, why not? In the absence of Federal or congressional oversight, the odds are in their favor and if you can cheat enough people there are millions to be looted. My wife and I are in our 70’s, retired and just ordinary middle class folks. Its understandable why Chase and other predators would see us as easy marks and I guess this is why Florida has many laws and statutes to protect this very vulnerable, but significant segment of the population.

But to threaten, steal from, harass, foreclose and evict Military professionals and their vulnerable families? This is unimaginable. This outrageous, mindless corporate greed is, in my opinion, like playing Russian roulette with a round in all but one chamber! It’s like the hyena attacking a charging wounded Rhino. It boggles the mind and makes no sense, but I guess that’s a characteristic of greed-gone-mad.
Think about it!
Surely many of the military victims are trained combatants. Do you suppose Chase was slick enough to prey only on those without combat training? On those without sniper training, (capable of taking out the enemy at a 1000 yards)? Or those willing to accept just another “ Chase mistake” at the cost of their home? I doubt that. My age is a matter of record, but combat experience in their mortgage records? Not likely. So you have to ask yourself, what would compel such reckless criminal behavior? It is widely believed self-preservation is the strongest motivator, but in this case perhaps it is greed, but greed wrapped in impunity, behind a mountain of political donations and mortgaged political influence. Maybe they think they are safe behind that mountain, but if I were one of those responsible Chase executives I would sleep with one eye open.
One would hope “RICO” would catch up to the responsible Chase criminals, but this is unlikely in light of the facts revealed in the award-winning documentary “An Inside Job”
In any event, they should not be too hard to find, just look for the executive mansions or yachts always lit up every night ………..click.

Oh my goodness! I had heard of some sort of fraud with Chase so I just googled. All of a sudden Chase is impounding my taxes and therefore more than doubling my payments. This is totally bogus and they will not listen. About every three days someone calls me and threatens me, but fails to listen to what is real.I have a long history with Washington Mutual and subsequently Chase, but these people are major predators and bullies. During the time my husband was dying of lung cancer I missed one payment on property taxes. I simply overlooked it because I was dealing with Hospice, etc. The City of San Diego's billing process was
very predatory and I am trying to straighten it out with them. In the meantime I am being harassed and threatened on an almost daily basis.
Ugh. Every time you call to try to straighten things out you get a new person. I will join any class action suit. They are unnecessarily creating
a problem when there is none.

JPMorgan Chase modification fruad

Chase gave me a modification in January 2009, they did not up date
my statements showing the new interest rates or new monthly payments. They said it was because they were changing computer programs. It has been two years since they sent me the modification agreement. Now they are saying its not valid because they never signed the agreement on their end even though I have been making monthly modification payments for two years. I would like to file a class action lawsuit against Chase Bank. They have now sent me papers to forclose on my home.

I too am in a similar situation! I've tried to Modify with Chase for the past year and they are giving me the run around. They informed me that all documents have been submitted and that my modification is being reviewed by their underwriting department. After numerous calls (100) and over (100) conversations with their "relationship manager's" I was informed that I had to resubmit my documents (mind you I have resubmitted my documents 4 times), again because my documents were now out dated. Outdated because they were being reviewed by their underwriting department for 3 months! What kind of non-sense is this? What kind of game is Chase Bank playing? Why would President Barack Obama bail out a bank like this ? I am outraged with the way this bank has handled my modification!

JPMorgan Chase modification fraud

I have seen your blog, and the many others on complaints.com regarding chase bank and their fraudulent loan modification procedures and actions. It looks like the blogs are dated in late 2007. you mention that one should contact you to find out who the class action attorney is handling your cases.

That is the reason for my email to you. I have been experiencing all of the same frustrating experiences as many of your bloggers for the past 18 months. The long and the short of it is that, after over a year of providing multiple packets of requested documentation (at least 10 different times because either they never received what I sent, or because it took them so long to finally look at what I sent them that they needed updated docs, only to repeat the same delays and request for updated docs again), and while making agreed to reduced payments under a forbearance agreement, on July 16, 2010, I finally received a verbal approval over the telephone of a modification, approved on July 14, 2010.. ( I have the names of the 2 individuals I received this info from, and their phone numbers and extensions. Its my guess however that either they no longer work for chase and/or most likely their numbers and extensions have changed many times since then). I was told the exact terms of the modification and when the new payments would begin (Sept 1, 2010). I was told I would receive the packet in 7-10 days. After many calls requesting the modification package during the next 30 days, I still had not received it. Yet I was told in every instance of calling inquiring about the where abouts of the packet, that my file shows that iI had been approved on July 14, 2010 and the docs were coming.

As a homebuilder in Dallas, my business at this point has been relegated to remodeling and my income significantly reduced. I had foreclosures last year, and resulting deficiencies against me for a couple of houses I had built and couldnt sell for what I owed. I was forced into bankruptcy before ever receiving the modification package (which I never did actually receive) and chase then pulled the modification. I re-affirmed my mortgage with chase and have communicated to them that I am still ready, willing and able to commence payments in accordance to the terms of the modification that I was approved for. I have since been contacted by an attorney for chase (initially, 3 months ago, out of Houston), inquiring of my intentions. I have told her the story and that I still was willing to go with the mod terms. She said she would get with chase and just get this mod done.. Nothing has been accomplished since. Most of my calls and emails to her have gone unanswered and when I have been able to reach her, her response has always been that she has not heard back from chase. So, for over 3 months, an attorneys client has not responded to their lawyer regarding resolving a legal matter.

I know your pain I have been through the same mess and they foreclosed and got a judgement without ever notifying me of the court date. Clerk says it's too late.
they will have to pry my fingers off the door frame to get me out! I can make the payments but the added fees are $12, 000 and they will add that to ANY new loan and the judgement and it's on going until satisfied. Could be a $100.000 for all I care, they'll never see a dime of it. Unless they go back to the orginal agreement I was making payments on.

Hi, Tenman: I feel you pain. My spouse and I are also engaged in home building and remodeling and have taken a heavy hit on our income and we are also dealing with Chase. I suggest you immediately contact you State Attorney General's office about Chase. I also suggest you immediately contact the HAMP Solution Center in Texas, , which reports to the US Treasury Department, to explain your situation as ask them for help with escalating your case with Chase. The toll-free phone number for the HAMP Solution Center is: [protected] (Select Option 2). Also contact a local HUD counseling office because an "accredited" HUD Counselor can tell you what type of modification you qualify for--Chase will most likely stick you in their "in-house" modification which is more profitable for Chase. Good luck.

JPMorgan Chase deception

This dispute began when I authorized Geico through my Chase checking account to debit $284.30 to initiate a auto policy. On their site Geico displays $284.30 (the amount needed to initiate the policy) in large numbers.
They then display underneath it an amount they state that you owe them from a previous policy in smaller and hard to see numbers. Chase reversed the charge when I submitted the complaint. Chase then took the word of Geico and reversed the charged and charged it to my account. They then doubled the amount stating that I made two claims for the same amount of money. Who's would do someting illegal or dumb like that? They need a lawsuit filed against them and they need to be investigated.

JPMorgan Chase tax escrow compounding shenanigans

After unsuccessfully attempting a mortgage modification, Chase saw fit to compound our property tax payments into our monthly payment. Per public records, our property tax is approximately $20k per year; Chase has seen fit to impound $4786/month, or $45k- twice the amount due on our tax bill. Chase 'customer service' says it can't help, talk to the Escrow department; the Escrow department does not have public telephone numbers so I am pursuing other avenues to get this resolved. If I can without resort to a law suit of some sort, which IMHO I believe may be the only way to get their attention. This has been going on now for months and months. (Of course, if you don't pay exactly what the statement says, Chase puts the payment into 'suspense' and hits your credit with a 30 day late charge. Just wonderful.)

Don't use Chase or recommend anyone to use them-- for loans, banking, cards, whatever.

I am in the same situation. I sent in my property taxes on time, and it was showed it was paid, but then my check was never cashed. Finally, I called the County Tax Collector, and they told me it was paid by Colvita Mortgage. When I asked who the heck that was, the clerk at the tax office said "That is Chase". Chase has set up Shell Companies to buy tax liens and pay on your property tax before it is due. They set up the shell companies so no one will know who where it is coming from. When I called Chase and asked them why they did this, the goof on the line said it is part of the modification process. To which I replied "great, that means I am getting a modification". To which the goof replied "No, just part of the process". They legally cannot escrow your taxes unless you are in a trial modification or modification. Just another way for them to steal your home.

If anyone has a lawyer or a good suite against Chase for the forced tax escrow, please let us know. We are about to lose our homes to them. We will fight to keep what we have worked so hard to hold on to. Chase watches and waits for any little window of opportunity to take from us. Their employees are mindless robots, programed to stick to the manuscripts or they have a puppeteer over their shoulder telling them what to say next. The cowardly puppeteer refuses to jump on the line to speak directly to you. Apparently, they allow their robots to run rampantly alone in their building because of the hundreds of times we have called, there is never a manager, supervisor nor owner available. Its no wonder they have been illegally foreclosing, they have no supervision. Then JP steps up and says that they just have too many issues and not enough manpower to accommodate each case?!...Bulls**t! ! We need a lawyer who is capable and willing to fight against them without payment til the end...when we win!

because chase had paid the taxes before they were due. chase had no right to pay the taxes on a non escrow account before they are delinquent, but they will make up excuses for doing so. while you are fighting to not pay the escrow, chase is preparing to foreclose on your home. this is happening to many of chases clients. this is a way for chase to foreclose but make it look legal. chase also knows that while the client struggles to pay the payments, they will not afford a good lawyer to take such a case against them.

JPMorgan Chase flood insurance requirement

Chase Home Finance, LLC recently required flood insurance on my house, even though it is not in a flood plain. I sent them documentation from FEMA and my local flood plain expert in my municipality indicating that my house is not in a flood plain. At the same time I received a quote from my insurance company which was 1/4 what Chase wanted me to pay. Chase did not respond to my documentation, in fact said they never received it, even though I have a signed receipt that they DID receive it. Long story short, Chase purchased the expensive flood insurance "on my behalf" and took payments for it from my escrow. Then, less than a year later, Chase sent me a letter stating that due to a "policy change" I no longer needed flood insurance. Of course there was no apology nor did they return the money they took from my escrow.

I am not the first to experience this questionable practice from Chase, in fact there are two actions in progress against Chase, one in California and one in New York. You can read the details at the following address:

http://www.nka.com/Cases/ChaseHomeFinance.aspx?CaseRef=153#certified

On their website they state: "As part of our investigatory efforts, we are interested in speaking with other Chase customers who have concerns about Chase’s flood insurance requirements. JPMorgan Chase new fee for no service

Chase sent announcements of a new fee to replace their renamed free checking accounts. It'll now cost $12 per month to keep free checking unless one keeps a minimum daily balance of $1, 200 per month or has at least one $500 direct deposit per month. Difficult for freelancers and those out of work to remain among the banked population! Is this how they're replacing the fees they used to collect on debits? SHAME.

Chase Free Checking Accounts

Yeah... it's free if you automatic bank deposit and maintain a heafty balance of $1200 . in the bank. I had been with them since 1978 and they didn't respect seniority nor not for profit status. They charged a $9.00 fee every month and I didn't have any excessive activity. So... I dropped them and went with another banking institution. They have cried in their milk ever since and sent me all kinds of spam mail.. signed unhappy senior customer.

JPMorgan Chase overall dissatisfaction and annoyance

It has been a nightmare since I opened my Chase checking account just 3 months ago. The customer service SUCKS. I tried to open my account and had multiple issues, then I had to call to set up my online banking and I could not understand the women on the phone at all who kept giving me the wrong password which would not work. Her supervisior came on the phone to help and was one of the most unhelpful, condescending, rude and unpleasant humans I have ever spoken with. Two weeks later I deposited a larger amount of cash into the ATM (from my roommate for rent) and the ATM "didn't know it was cash" and decided to hold onto the money for 7 days. I called and went into the bank multiple times to try and remedy the situation, as I was told that cash is always directly deposited into an account because there is no need to wait for it to clear like a check. Every single person I spoke with said "that's so weird, I've never heard of that happening before" and told me to talk to someone else. So frustrating. Meanwhile my check had been deposited and Chase wanted to charge me for a bounced check! No one apologized. Today, I found an unauthorized transaction on my account so I called, waited on hold for too long to hear a guy tell me that I can file a claim but it "probably won't help and you might not be able to get your money back since it has already cleared." WTF? Every single time I have an issue I request to close my account and they either put me on hold for litterally and hour or pretend like they didn't hear me and change the subject. I'm so fed up with Chase bank and I'm happily taking my business elsewhere.
