JPMorgan Chase false accusations

chase bank formerly wa-mu has me red flagged at all banks for being a perpatrator of fraud therefore denying me any opportunity to partake in services at businesses with no prior or current dealings, I had a wa-mu account previously and acknowledge owing them for overdraft fees, there was no fraud intended nor was I ever charged with a crime of any kind therefore it is a violation of my rights to slander me in any form and it has resulted in denial of services offered to any citizen of washington state this is adue process violation and I am innocent unless convicted of any and all crimes

Chase bank is slowly doing what it intended to do from the beginning; implement its own terms and policies, that were clearly not going to be similar in any way to those of Washington Mutual. They simply did not want to drive off the previous Washington Mutual account holders, who already in a state of disbelief, that there bank was closing, with no previous warning. Much like a predator stalking its prey they waited, and just when you became a little comfortable with the change they went in for the kill. All I can say is that that's the beauty of being an American, we have choices, and I chose to look for another bank. Maybe if we all do then they will have no choice but to review their terms and policies. Remember it is the account holders that keep this bank going.

I agree. WAMU is a sorry company. Last year when they were getting ready to change the Credit Card laws Chase closed my account since I supposedly had gone above my credit limit(get this) with my other credit cards(but not theirs). I had been with this company when it was Providian about 6 years. Chase is a crummy company who sponsors Credit cards with Walmarts, Old WAMU customers, and some other credit cards. I will never own a credit card with them as the company bank sponsor and I hope others will not either. They lie and make you feel cheap and dirty and like you can't manage your own credit cards and bills.

JPMorgan Chase canceled my bank account because shes mad!

Hey get this. I wrote Jennifer Myhre from Chase. She wrote all of Wamu's customers informing them of the new fee schedule charging them $10 a month for free checking.

Not only does she check her email. She actually responded to my comments by sending me a personalized next day air letter in the mail responding back by closing my Chase account in 7 business days because she was so pissed off at my comments. . I didn't write anything stupid but I indicated she was very disliked on this website, that I was closing my chase account.

You asked for it! Her contact info is. . . .drum roll please.
jennifer.[protected]@chase.com telephone number [protected] ex 51956

WHAT A ###. Why go into the branch to cancel your account when you can do what I did! and email a response to Ms. Myhre and she will do it for you. I bet she hates our emails showing up on her black berry.

JPMorgan Chase overdraft fees

I am a single parent with a diabled child. I have discovered throughout the years that having my account at Chase which was formerly wamu, that these predators lie in wait to take the few pennies that I have! I dont understand why they think they need my money, but they keep on taking it everytime!

After depositing a paycheck. I went to the 99cent store for thanksgiving trimmings for my family dinner. I invited everyone over, even though I really couldn't afford it. Little did I know, they were holding the check that I worked hard all week for. Because the check didn't clear, I was charged $34.00 in overdraft charges, which took a huge bite out of my paycheck. With that extra money, I could've bought an extra turkey.

I went to the branch begging for mercy. My stomach was knotted in a thousand knots as I sat there pleading with them to reverse the charges. I reminded them that I have been with them for years, but this fell on deaf ears. They robbed me. They told me that this was not a bank error. I told them "I beg to differ." because I just robbed. To me, that is a BANK ERROR, big time. I hardly had enough f0od for my thanksgiving dinner.

Stay away from Chase Bank. They dont care about you. Even their employees have sad looks on their faces. Run the other way, towards the nearest credit union. This is what I plan to do starting in the new year of 2011.

JPMorgan Chase didnt obama bail outb the banks already? chase bank is certainly double dipping!

Didnt Obama already bail these banks out?

Hers "My" Complaint:
On the 3rd of every month, My disability check gets deposited into my account. I am on pennies surviving like everyone else right now just trying to make ends meet.
In 2004, i had TWO bank accounts with Washington Mutual. ONE of them was overdrafted 1000.00 and eventually closed. The other remained open and in good standing. Fast forward 5 years, CHASE bank acquires Washington Mutual. My good standing account is grandfathered in ( so i obviously didn't sign any forms relinquishing my rights) - NOW, 6 years later out of nowhere without any notices, warnings or foresight, CHASE has come in on the 3rd day of the month coldly calculated and ripped my disability money from me WHILE it was still pending at that!. Thus, defaulting on my rent check, causing an added 100.00 charge with my building manager and getting a 3 day eviction notice.
Can they do this?
They are actually stealing from the federal government as the funds haven't even cleared yet! I am told due to my fixed income that i am exempt from this. (Unfortunately today is Saturday and i must wait until Monday to find out.)

DO NOT THINK FOR A MOMENT you are safe from these guys as i thought i was. Monday morning, The accounts get closed and i move to a credit union. If you have the time in the day, research CHASE BANK on line with the proper keywords and find out the truth about these corporate snakes. I cant belive this nightmare activity is allowed to go on. My local states attorney office gets the next call along with the department of Financial Institutions http://www.dfi.ca.gov/consumers/

The bank can't cancel automatic withdrawals, YOU have to do that, since you were the one that authorized them.

You say you notified them that you were closing it, but you didn't say you actually closed it. Why would they stop a transaction that you authorized, when the account is still open?

JPMorgan Chase ripoff and false offer

Chase cards offered credit card that provides points ffor airmiles. I used the card for many years, made payments on schedule and accumulated points on it. Generally, I paid off the card completely.

After many years of use and after having just made a payment that paid off the entire balance, I received a letter stating that the card was cancelled and I would lose the points I had accumulated.

Chase refused to reissue the card or provide a new one and transfer the points.

This was the biggest ripoff I had ever seen.

To date no other credit ever did that to me.

Chase had the gall to start sending me offers for a new card offering air miles! Are they crazy and just malicious?

You are better off working with any card other than Chase.

JPMorgan Chase not honoring a check

I sold a rental property on 11/30. The check was written to my LLC and myself. I signed for my LLC, and I signed the check. I had deposited checks with this same LLC and in this same way before. Never, ever, an issue. 12/01/10 I get an email/text from Chase stating that the traditional hold that they put on the check had been lifted. I proceeded to use my debt card and write large checks. 12/2/10 I was informed that they are returning the check because "I need to deposit that into a business account." I don't have a business account. I checked with my attorney and he said that I can legally sign the name of the LLC and then my own signature with no problem. I am the only member of the LLC. Chased returned ALL of the checks. They will not return the check that I deposited stating it will be 7 to 10 business days. My account is frozen. They are holdig the amount of the returned checks against me. Does that make sense? Return the check PLUS charge me for it. They hit me with overdraft fees, and returned check fees. I went to a branch office and they stated "there is nothing we can do about this." I called a VP, he gave me another branch manager, "nothing we can do about this." I asked if I can come and pick up the check so that I can cash it at the issuing bank. "No, it will be mailed to you." UNBELIEVABLE! Chase is so big that they have forgotten how to deal with regular people. They are horrible at customer service. I have been a customer for seven years. I will be canceling EVERY THING and NEVER doing business with them again.

JPMorgan Chase unscrupulous collection practices

Chase has absolutely immoral, unscrupulous debt collection practices! Never deal with the people that call you on the phone because they will just get you to admit something in order to take your money in an unauthorized fashion. Here is my story: I had two separate accounts with Chase; one business and one personal. I decided to close out the business account on 11/17/2010, as I was no longer planning to start the business. I went into the bank to close out my account and they said that there were no pending transactions and gave me a check to close the account. As it turns out, there was a transaction, that was authorized by me two weeks earlier, that came through that day. Instead of closing the account, it caused my account to overdraft in the amount of $2040 ($25 in closing account fees and $15 in overdraft).
The collections department of Chase then called me on 12/2 to inform me that my account was overdrawn. I told them that it wasn't possible since the account was closed. They said they couldn't do anything and told me to go to my local branch to figure it out. I was so furious, I went into my local bank to close out my personal account, but they said I could have everything but $2040 to cover the BUSINESS overdraft! I said the accounts had nothing to do with each other - but they had a different story and said that they do because they have the same social security number. I told them that I was in the process of declaring bankruptcy and I was going to add the business account overdraft to my bankruptcy. They the asked if it was my intention to have it charged off, to which I answered yes, since a charge off would go agains my already screwed up credit!
Lo and behold, that was not Chases's definition of a charge off. Upon me telling them that that was my intention, even though I was in the bankruptcy process, they took the money from my personal account! I talked to the collections department again and asked them why they would do that when they told me they were going to charge it off? They said, because I told them I did not intend to pay, they were now able to remove the money from my personal account. They said they were justified because it was IN THE FINE PRINT! OMG, are you serious? I asked them why they would not just openly disclose what "charge off" meant at that point in time? If I would have know that they would steal my money instead of ruin my credit, I would have bought additional time! I believe what they did was absolutely immoral and unscrupulous at the very least and it ought to be ILLEGAL! I will never ever do business with Chase in any fashion ever again and I will lobby every person and organization I can think of to have silly practices like this outlawed!

I thought it was a unauthorized charge? So why wouldn't you dispute it with the merchant? Then Chase would have to charge back the merchant.

JPMorgan Chase account closing

On the 26th of November 2010 I recieved a change of agreement from Chase Bank. The agreement stated that my "Totally Free Checking" is no longer free. There will be a $10 monthly fee starting in Feburary of 2011 if I do not have: (1) Direct Deposit of $500, or (2) $1, 500 in my checking or (3) $5, 000 in combined balance in all qualified accounts at Chase. Nine months ago in Feburary of 2010 I received a change of agreement stated that "Chase" will honor the "Totally Free Checking" grandfather accounts which was formally owned by Washington Mutual Bank. In nine months Chase Bank have decided to end the free checking accounts for all former Washington Mutual. Since free checking accounts are not as profitable in nine months, so Chase decided to start charging customers. I am from a low income family therefore cannot afford to spend $10 per month on checking, because of the increase of cost of living. The bottom line is that in nine months the second largest bank in America have turned themselves into greedy business men who will profit from the lower class, and middle class citizens. My way of justice is to get everyone to know what Chase is doing. Hopeful you feel the same and protest by switching to a bank that works for the lower class, and middle class. I have also done several research on Banks, and I concluded that region banks such as US Bank, Union Bank, and Bank of the West have more banking products fro the lower class, and middle class.

Of course banks are greedy businesses. That is not the point.
The point is that WAMU gave us "Free Checking For Life" as a contract deal. That is a liability they undertook just like a bond. When Chase bought WAMU they got all the assets and all the liabilities. Chase should honor those debts just like they would honor their bonds. They don't because they can get away with cheating little guys.

JPMorgan Chase won't honor checks

I was given a check by a reputable business on a Chase Bank account.. Went to a Chase Bank branch to cash it. Showed multiple picture ID's, including military. Teller confirmed the check was good. The branch refused to cash the check. The manager said it was Chase Bank policy not to cash their own checks over 3k if you don't have a Chase account. They will not honor their own checks ! I had to make a trip to my bank and deposit the check. Why would anyone take a Chase Bank check if you cannot cash it at Chase Bank ? They deserve to go out of business.

No that is not the policy. I was told there is limits on the accounts, and if the check is more than 3000 it can not be cashed. But it can be deposited, in to a chase account or any other.

JPMorgan Chase fraud

I tried to find out what was going on with this women Mary Giglia Johnson. She was my Middle School Spanish teacher. She was an amazing women. It was my best class. I looked forward to my Spanish Class. She always had fun projects going on, like making tacos or wearing sombreros. When she was murdered I was shocked to here the news. Then the Buzz around town was that Mary's Father was a very, very, wealthy man. Yes, He was a cigar maker in Tampa but he was also given a trust from his Father all the way from Italy. I know her son and I know that he is an awesome guy. While the estate was going on after her murder the word spread quickly about the money. It was placed in a trust to the youngest son who's name I will not say for his own protection. It was Morgan Stanley and Keven Kyle that stole the executive ship from Bank of America. There are a lot of people that are involved in this scam besides Kevin Kyle, and Morgan Stanley. Like Chase themselves, The Bushes, CPA's, The retired State Attorney Joe D Alessandro, Lawyers from Chase and Morgan Stanley, The U.S. Attorneys in The Middle District of Florida, The OAG of the DOJ Alberto Gonzales, and the list goes on.The family themselves did not have a clue until just a short while from the time of the planned execution of Mary and her Father.Hidden Trust are set up that way and this is why it is an opportunity for predators like the ones I mentioned above to come in and hurt this family systematically. MSDW fired this stock Broker ( Robert D Frota ) # 035 for a list of allegations from Fraud, Security Fraud, Dealing in business outside of Morgan Stanley, but this was just a cover up so that this Jackie Becerra from Greenberg Traurig and Kevin Kyle could take evidence and hide it. They also had help from corrupt Federal Agents working for the benefit of their Assistance.S. Attorneys, Douglas Malloy and Albritton who actually work for Chase and Morgan Stanley not the Department of Justice as we the people know it to be. It is sad that we live in a country that hurts it's own people instead of working for it's people like they took an oath to do. This family is being slandered and blackmailed and even threatened for their lives. Just a poorly organized group of thieves out to steal money and take life that we where given by a Higher Power. Kevin Kyle and GT LAW think they are the Higher Power, but their not. We do have a Justice System in this country and sometimes it works, but most of the time it dose not. I called Kevin Kyle's office and they denied even handling this estate. They lied. It is public Record. The only thing that is not recorded is the truth about what is going on. I pray for Mary's son and his safety. I hope things work well for him and that maybe one day they will find out everyone involved and prosecute them, but first we need honest people in or Government, and Douglas Malloy is not one of them. While Kevin Kyle seems to be an honest lawyer, he is not. He only cares about the money. Not the people he helped murder for the money. Greenberg Traurig attorney Jackie Becerra seems like an accomplished attorney that gives to charitable cause, but she is not. She is a flesh eater, no ethics, or skill. She likes to kill, just as long as she dose not get any of the blood on her.

In August 2006, my business received a call from Chase Bank about a Chase Platinum Business Visa. Did not suspect any fraud because we also received these same offers via mail. The sales representative said the card was pre-approved for $14K. I ask how was it pre-approved? I stated to him that it was my understanding that most unsecured business cards required a "personal guarantee, " and I stated to the sales rep that if that was the case I was not interested in applying. The Sales Rep said that this particular card DID NOT require a "personal guarantee, " and that the pre-approval was based on our company's DUN & Bradstreet number and that the company had been in existence for at least 3 years. We did the application over the phone in which I provided all the appropriate company info. To my knowledge, that phone call was recorded by Chase. I DID NOT provide any of my personal information other that my name and my co-worker's name to get a second card. A few days later, we received the cards in the mail. Everything with the cards seemed legit until this year (2008). After Hurricane Ike and the economic slowdown, my business' income dropped substantially and we missed a payment. The account was immediately turned over to collections. I talked to the collector, and she informed me that if the account went into 60 day delinquent, that it would affect my personal credit. I was confused because I NEVER provided Chase with any personal information for myself or co-worker. (We do have a Washington Mutual bank account, and Chase did buy WAMU out...maybe that is how they got it our info.) I then called Chase myself to find out if what the collector said was true. It was, so I asked how that info was obtained? She said it was listed on the application. That's funny because the application was done over the phone, and I did not provide Chase with any SSN's. I have written a letter to Chase to obtain a copy of that application. (Still waiting for a response.) I have never had any personal accounts or credit cards with Chase, so I am confused how they obtained that information. I would like to hear the recorded information when the application was taken. Is there anything else I can do? Was I a victim of fraud or shady business lending as seen in the mortgage industry? There is no way I would have opened this credit card account if I knew that I had to "personally guarantee" it. Has anyone else had this problem? Or something similar with another card/bank?

I agree, they just said they approved me for a 4, 000 balance transfer w/ 0% transfer fee and 0% for 12 months. When I recieved information from them in the mail, they did not approve me for all of it, only 1200 and it was only 0% for 3 months and not for transfer balances. I called them immediately and they said to call back when i actually recieved the credit card and they can cancel b/c I did not authorize it. I recieved teh credit card 1 day later and called them and they said that it was cancelled. I later checked my visa check card from my previous card and chase had transferred the 1200 w/0ut my permission. I called them and they said I have to mail the corporate office and they doubt anything will be done. I am going to take ur advice and go to the attrny gen office b/c this can not be okay. There has to be something that can be done. If anyone else has advice please let me know.

Chase seems to run a continuous credit card scam under the name of "Payment Protector". Chase has charged consumers without there permission and rarely refund the total amount "scammed" - If you try to dispute the charge online, a message will state "can not dispute due to being a 3rd party charge" or similar statement. I DO NOT EVEN KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS ! and that is one of the tools used in the scam. There has also been reports of fake verbal contracts being recorded approving the charges. DEMAND to hear these recorded conversations - you will be appauled. They are making thousands (if not millions) with there scamming techniques and can be stopped. Demand a copy of the verbal contract be sent to you. Chase will do there best to give you a "run-around" to keep you confused and take your funds without authorization. Report there actions to your Atty. General's office. It is not hard to do and the Atty. General must follow up and investigate at no costs to you. Demand that public officials stop these shady practices and hold them accountable. They already gave them millions of our tax dollars and n return they are "spitting in America's face" with con-artist tactics. Take time to speak out ! You may even be entitled to additional damages and/or loans dismissed due to unauthorized activities performed by Chase and associates. Let your government officials know that we re tired of been taken advantage of and insulted by many of these CEOs developing these "con" programs under the assumption most Americans are "stupid" and will settle for a little "fast talk" rather than pursuing the problem to the core and demanding accountability! The preceding are facts from personal experience and from reading many-many similar posts. It is not meant to be legal advice although we strongly suggest obtaining legal advice and contacting government and banking officials at the 1st indication of unauthorized transactions. Our experience has been that Chase will just try to pro-long and double talk in hoopes of keeping at least some of yiur money. Save time and file a complaint(s) immediately. Chase should be keeping your accounts secure rather than violating your security. When multiplyed my thousands of accounts, every day your funds are held, someone is profitting GREATLY using your funds. Show them WE ARE NOT STUPID AND WILL NOT TAKE THE ABUSE NO MORE ! Good Luck and Don't Give Up, JD

JPMorgan Chase withholding funds

I don't care much about the inconvenience. Nor do I really care about the overdraft fee very much. what I do care about is being lied o repeatedly and the holding of funds for no reason.
I have been through quite a bit with this bank:
First they told me funds were available and then they held them without warning. I gave someone a check thinking that the funds were available. Only to find on Tuesday that were held. The reason I was given was that they were unable to verify the amount with the bank that issued the check. I was told this was a fabrication by the lawyer who issued the check. I found out he was right because when I called this morning (11/18), I was told that the only time someone tried to verify the funds was last night. Therefore Chase held the funds without cause. I also have a little slip of paper telling me that the funds would be available and only a certain amount would be held until 11/16. There is a disclaimer on the bottom that says further review may cause the funds to be held for an additional 7 days. To whit I refer to the above statement that no attempt was made by anyone to actually verify the funds as per the notes that the OH so rude telephone person told me. I am now on the phone with someone who is nice enough to look in to the matter. I will see if I can get my $34 overdraft fee back.
Here's the story as it unfolded if you are interested in reading the entire thing:

Emailed to them: I was told by the assistant branch manager on Avenue J in Brooklyn, NY that even though I was told that my funds were available, I would still have overdraft charges. I was lied to by the assistant branch manager who when she asked me if I made out the checks the day I deposited the funds, I told her no. She said yes you did. I said no, I deposited them on Friday and made out the checks on Monday. She said that I made the deposit on Monday 11/15/2010. You can check the deposit which I am printing out for my records that I made the deposit on Friday. How do you employ such liars and thieves?
I have had no reason to complain until now!
You held the funds for no reason. I was told some imbecilic reason which is not true. The funds can be verified by the check issuing bank. It obviously an attempt to hold the money longer. I was told that NO they would not refund me the overdraft fees even though I have a receipt which clearly shows that the funds were available.

Their Response:
Thank you for contacting Chase.

We apologize for any inconvenience you may have
experienced due to the deposit hold.

Our records show that a hold was placed for the deposit in
the amount of $****** on November 15, 2010. This will
be available for use on November 23, 2010.

Federal Banking Regulation CC allows us to hold
substantial deposits. The Rules and Regulations of your
account disclose this information. Holds help protect you
and the bank from unnecessary losses if a deposited item
is returned unpaid. Further more, holds can help you
avoid incurring fees if the issuing bank does not honor a
deposited item. Any negotiable instrument can have a stop
placed on it (including money orders and cashier's
checks), which can cause a returned item situations.

There are numerous things that could trigger a hold. The
most common is any high dollar amount. Another condition
that can trigger a hold is an amount that does not fall in
to your deposit pattern, or in other words, you do not
usually deposit items in that amount range. Holds are
placed for your protection and ours.

The Expedited Funds Availability Act ensures prompt
availability of deposited funds and governs the length of
time a bank may "hold" funds from checks deposited into
transaction accounts:

Time Limit

Holds are determined on a case-by-case situation. For
items up to $4, 900 a hold may be placed for 2 to 5
business days for local and non-local items and for items
over $5, 000 a hold may be placed for 7 business days for
local items and 11 business days for non-local items.

Any checks or items that are presented to your account
while a deposit hold is in place should be paid. If any
fees are assessed to your account due to a deposit hold
they will be absorbed by the bank as long as the deposit
was not returned.

Again, please accept our apology for any inconvenience
this has caused you.

If you require further assistance, please e-mail us via
the Secure Message Center or contact Chase By Phone at
[protected] (BTW this is the wrong number to call). Chase By Phone representatives are
available to assist you 7:00 AM - 9:00 PM, seven days a
week with automated account information available 24-hours
a day.

Thank you,

Keithly Jane Marges
Internet Service Center

My response: The representative I spoke with on the phone last night lied and told me the put notes on the account. Then the person today was extremely rude and told me that the only time someone tried to verify the funds was last night. Therefore you held the funds for no reason.

You are being untruthful...
--------------------------------------------------
Just a side note: I was told that I should not deposit over a certain amount into a checking account. Meaning that they know they do this.

@TheLoveFist II Because they lied to me. Like I said at the top: " don't care much about the inconvenience. Nor do I really care about the overdraft fee very much. what I do care about is being lied o repeatedly and the holding of funds for no reason." How would your customers like it if you did that to them?

Same situation but on a much much larger scale. I am fortunate to have had a loving grandparent who left me a trust that is was to be dispuresd on my 40th birthday. I deposited the check into Chase and was told at first it would take 15 days to clear. On the 15th business day I was told the funds would be available on the 30th business day. Chase has refused to release my money as of the present. I ve had lawyers send letters and orders for chase to release the funds with no avail. How is this leagal? Im assuming the longer my money stays with Chase the more interest Chase can collect for Chase, if not then why keep holding my money hostage? What was ment to be the best day of my life as turned tragic. Chase bank one of the worlds most richest banks and most corrupt. A Chase representative did say if I was to leave my money with them then I was to receive quartaly dispersments. Why would I want to continue doing business with a bank that best interest is them?
Thank You for this Blog, I thought I was the only one.

JPMorgan Chase redeeming a cd

My cd at chase matured and I wanted transfer it to my chase checking account. They wouldn't do it unless I answered some questions. I am okay with this, but 2 of the questions they asked concerned the birth date of a person I did not even know. I explained this to them, but they did not care. Finally I asked to speak to a supervisor. She said I could get the transfer if I could give her the month and year I opened the account. Since i've had this account for over 10 years and the bank has changed names, I could not do this. Too bad — I could not redeem my own cd — this is outrageous! Don't get a cd from chase; you will never be able to redeem it.

Come on man... you are leaving out too many details of this story. Chase is not going to risk their reputation over your measly CD! Just bring in your paperwork and show them. Oh you don't have it? Shame on you! If you put as much effort into getting your money as you did slamming this company, you would already have your money.

JPMorgan Chase modification and advising not to make payemtns during the modification process

We have now applied for a modification twice now with Chase. THis has been on going since March 2010. I lost my full time job and my husband who works seasonal was laid off, I was also 4 months pregnant. I contacted Chase in late February to attempt to make half a payment (we were both on unemployment). Trying to make an attempt with them is ridiculous, they literally told me they would not take half payments and I would be better of waiting. I asked what help we could get to help make our payment more affordable due to our circumstances. They recommended the modification. I had all information to them within 2 weeks and literally waited until July 13th to find out we were denied. The way we found out was on a Saturday and Sunday we started receiving collections calls. When we started the modification process I was told by several Chase employees not to make a payment during the review. We ended up filing for bankruptcy which was finalized in October and I was just told on my weekly call to Chase that we were denied again. I am re-applying, but seriously what are the guildlines for being approved? How many times can they use the same line "your expenses are too much", what does that tell you about our situation. Even after filing for Chapter 13 our mortgage payment is difficult to make. We ended up having to pay over $11, 000 thru our Bankruptcy Trustee back to Chase for our back payments, becuase several idiots told us not to pay it? Everytime I call it's the same line "it's in review" or "it's our under writers decision". This Obama Bill is doing nothing to help anyone because I have not heard of one person who has been approved for a modification.

JPMorgan Chase chase freedom despicable customer care

I've had this credit card for 26 years & have always paid each month's bill in full & on time until recently. In June, 2010, I was one day late with my $172.61 total current payment. My July, 2010, showed a $29.00 late fee & $2.23 purchase interest charge. I called them & they refused to remove the late fee but said they would credit me the interest charge.

Knowing that they refer to customers who consistently pay in full & on time as beadbeats & that it would behoove them if I would cancel my card, I will not.

As psuguy said, you were late. You agreed to pay on time for life and you failed. There are consequences. You were lucky they removed the interest.

JPMorgan Chase fraud

We have been dealing with Chase Home Finance in President Obama's (Making Home Affordable) program since Sept., 2009. After a year of lost papers, faxing, mailing and refaxing information we are approved for a loan modification - but after our property was sent to an attorney for foreclosure. We would not be in foreclosure but Chase refused to take any payments from us AT ALL during the loan mod process. We were served with a summons and answered it and while waiting to hear about the result, that's when we got the Fed EX package telling us that we were approved for a 3 month trial. 3 days after we receive our approval, we received a letter by snail mail that we were denied! I called Chase and they said that the second letter was a mistake. I called their attorney's and they said that the sale date for our property was moved back until February but would do nothing about stopping it without Chase telling them to do so. I have called Chase on numerous occations to ask why they haven't stopped the foreclosure, but can't talk to anyone that knows anything.

I called Chase to make a payment (3 wks before the payment was due) by phone as the approval states that we can, only to find out that we can only make payments by Western Union, cashier's check or money order. Another misrepresentation by Chase. When I asked why, they said that they didn't know. I asked who would know and they didn't know who would know (The Marks Brothers "Who's on first").

So following the orders of Chase, I went and got a Cashier's Check, made a copy and sent it in with the coupon provided by priority mail with confirmation that Chase received it.

We received a letter from the attorney's handling the foreclosure saying that there were alternatives to foreclosure, including an MHA, and we should send them a financial statement. We sent another answer to them stating that, yet again, we were already approved for a MHA. We included a copy of the approval packet, a copy of the cashier's check and stating that Chase had all of our current financial statements and they should consult with their client to get all of our current information.

Whenever we have tried to contact our "relationship manager" we are unable to do so. After going through the dog and pony show including the loan number, name on account, my name, my relationship to borrower, property address, our address, whether we reside at the property (duhh, the 2 are the same), phone number, alternative phone number, what I had for breakfast (no, just kidding), whether we plan on keeping the property, and then "how can we help you today"? When I ask to speak to my relationahip manager, they say that she is unavailible but that they can help me. Problem is, everytime you call, you speak to someone else and get a different answer.

I have found out that everytime another paper is faxed or mailed, it goes into a different file, and depending on who answers the phone, as to whether or not they CHOOSE to go through all of the files on record to try to answer your question. Some just take the most recent and when you question them get very defensive and refuse to go any further. You may get put on hold for as long as 7 or 8 minutes, or even disconected.

We are still waiting for an answer from the court on the summons.

I know that there are many people in the same boat (or worse) that are trying to deal with Chase. Is there a class action suit that we can get involved with?

Hi, Dony. I have been dealing with Chase--such an appropriate name for this company which appears to train its employees to make customers running around in never-ending circles just like a dog chasing its tail. For help resolving your issue, I urge you to do the following right away--immediately: 1.) contact your state Attorney General's office and ask for the name of person who is working on the 50-state bank investigation into foreclosure fraud and write and "offical" complaint about your situation; 2.) send a copy of this complaint to the state Iowa Attorney General's office--the state's AG, Tom Miller, is heading up this nation-wide, 50-state investation, so let this office know you've contacted your AG so your AG's office will get off its butt--if it hasn't alread--and do something to help its residence; 3.) contact the HAMP Solution Center (Dallas, Texas--Toll Free Phone: [protected] Option# 2 ) and ask for an agent to help you escalate this matter and help you resolve your issues with Chase; 3.) File an "official" compaint with the OCC, which regulates Chase and follow up on this; 4.)contact the Washington DC office of Congresswoman Maxine Watters--not one of my favorite congresspeople--but do contact her office, which has a staff person working on the "Subcommittee on Housing and Community Opportunity" and this person will try to help you (Telephone) : [protected].

On C-Span (October 27, 201) I watched Maxine Watters grill federal respresentatives responsible for regulating the banks (OCC), Freddie and Fannie (FHFA), Home Affordable Program (Dept. of Treasury) and others on their lack of oversight and she charged them to actually "do something" about the abuse millions of homeowners have and continue to experience with banks as they try to get loan modifications and deal with the prospect of foreclosues; 4.) copy your congressional represenatives and your senators. If you do these things, Chase will become motivated to "do the right thing." Remember to document everything--even phone calles. Good luck.

Chase does NOT work with their home owners. We have rental property financed through Chase that was trashed from tenants and have fell behind on payments trying to rehab this property. They sent Safe Guard out to inspect the property and they labeled it as vacant/abandoned and we had 8 days to call, we found this note on a Sunday called that Monday. They said they were sent out by Chase and to call them. We called Chase and tried to make a payment over the phone and they said no that we were "almost" three months behind we needed to make at least two payments. We set up to have two payments automatically withdrawn on the 30th of November. However, yesterday we come to find out that Safe Guard changed the locks on the rental house, winterized and took some of the tools that were in it. We called yesterday and of course again they were sent by Chase, so we call Chase. Chase said we were behind, yes but we have arrangements we have been in communications. We asked about the brand new door handles that were cut off of the brand new doors that were just installed and is all they could say is "oh well" we have that right. I guess they also have the right to "steal" from your property. We made the comment of we thought you had to be at least 3 months before action was take, they said they can do whatever they want after 30 days. How are we suppose to fix this house and get it on the market to be rented when they have locked us out and taken tools. They said they sent a letter that said to respond within 8 days and we did, well we didn't contact the right department. This is just horrible, they advertise all this stuff about working with people, they are NOT working with anyone. I have found numerous complaints about Chase on the internet.

JPMorgan Chase loan modification scam

We tried to get a loan modification with Chase bank last year, handling everything ourselves. They "lost" our paperwork four times and then eventually denied our modification because they said we didn't make enough money.

We started the loan modification process again with Chase bank in May 2010, this time we hired a loan modification specialist to help us. Again Chase has continued to "lose" our documentation. They denied us again because they said we hadn't provided all of the necessary documentation. We have proof that we did and had to file an appeal to reopen our case. We still have not received our loan modification or any information regarding the status of our case as of Nov. 2010.

JPMorgan Chase closed account

I Have been a loyal customer to chase for two years. I Have brought almost a hundred customers to chase. On november 9th 2011 I was trying to purchase groceries and my card was declined . I Had more than enough money in my account. I Came home called customer service and was told I was a risk my card was closed and my account would be as well. The next morning I went into a branch and was told my account was not closed I explained that I had an automatic payment coming out of the account that day. I Left enough money to cover the payment . I was told come in after it hard posted to the account to finish closing it. Well Today 11/11/10 I receive a text alert that my account was over drawn by 9, 999, 998.82. Seriously what kind of business practice is this. I mean if you want to terminate a business relationship its Chases prerogative but why put my account in the negative to mess up my credit wow unjustified I hope the government burns them to the ground for how they are treating hard working americans

JPMorgan Chase bad bank

Denny f, (Chicago)
I’ve had a chase credit card since 1985. I opened it with a 4.99% rate, I only opened it because it was clearly stated in there fine print that the 4.99% rate would stay that way until either of us died. Joke but you know what I mean. Here it is now 2010 with 2011 approaching very fast, and black friday is right around the corner. I just received a letter from my chase credit card co. And it said, they are raising my credit limit for a tenth time since i’ve owned this account, to a mere 25, 000, oh and get this the rate is still 4.99%. Oh and btw, my credit rating is near 460, plain english, it sucks. Thanks j. P. Morgan chase manhattan.

We had a 7 year baloon mortgage which ended in sept. 2010. we started the process in june to refinance and were told no problem. months of back and forth and total frustration have now brought us to default as far as chase is concerned. we applied 3 times and were told it is taking time til november when they called and said they could not help us. we have contacted a lawyer and chase's lawyer has told us we are at fault. we do not have mega money to pay a lawyer to pursue this matter and are now trying to refinance elsewhere. never late on a payment etc. if anyone can guide us in the rite direction please contact me at rkhubert@comcast.net. we are afraid we will loose our house because of chase's failure to do their job for us the customer!

JPMorgan Chase title of car

I paid off my car back in two months ago and I have yet to receive my title. Several days after I paid off my debt to them I got a letter in the mail stating that I would get my title in twenty business days and to call such and such 1-800 number if I don't receive it. I waited the twenty days and got nothing. I waited another week just in case and still again nothing came in the mail. I called the 1-800 number and they told me that it should arrive soon and to give it another week. Being a patient man I did and of course nothing. I called them again and they told me it was out of their hands that they sent it to the DMV. Question is, which DMV? The letter had my current address on it but they are not sure whether or not the mailed it to Washington state, California, Arizona, or Connecticut. The woman told me that I had to contact all of these places in order to find it. Apparently they let a third party handle sending out titles. I can't register my car in Connecticut without my title or get the new car I was planning on trading my old one in for. This is how they treat their Vets? Thanks a lot Chase Auto Financial!
